Fun little museum. Free entry though they do take donations. Some basic physical exhibits, though tons of information about Lacey's history. About half and hour to go through. Definitely worth going in if you're in the area.

Small museum with few artifacts well displayed. The real treasure is their staff, along with old records. They were able to pinpoint the farmhouse we wanted to find. If you have ancestors from this area they can be very helpful.

A great source of information about the area. Friendly staff! Interesting history! That tiny museum used to be the Lacey City Hall, Police Station, AND Fire Station! 🤯 Admission was free, but they do accept donations!

Very friendly staff, beautiful exhibits. Much smaller than I thought it would be, but very nice and informative none the less! Bummed the bigfoot exhibit isn't here anymore!

Thurston County has more in store looking back in Lacey's history. Every parent should bring there children here to learn about the crowned educator and advocate, Thelma Jackson. One of our true heros and patriarchs.

I love the Lacey Museum it has so much to offer. It's a real shame not many people visit the museum. I hope more people will want to learn about their town and the fundamentals behind its growth. There are so many places in Lacey that are named after people who brought about a great change. I didn't know Hawks Prairie was a combination of names. I really enjoy history and although WA is "early" in age many historical events that have shaped our nation to place here.

The Lacey Museum was a lovely stop on my first weekend in town. I was helped by Scotty, a volunteer, who told us that the museum will be relocating to a larger space in the next couple of years!

Tons of cool stuff from in & around the city of Lacey, documenting it's growth & transformation from "unincorporated Olympia-adjacent rural area" (aka Woodland) into a city of it's own...and up through present day. Currently resides in a little old (historic) ex-residental home while they await the replica "historic train depot" style building---currently planned & in development---that will eventually be it's permanent home.

Really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, there is alot of really great history in there. Plus the sasquatch exhibit was great. All the stuff you have seen on TV over the years right there in front of you. It was amazing.

We were Looking forward to a nice little visit. There were no visitors the parking lot empty. I had a 4 pound Pomerania I carry and since she isn’t a service dog yet we were turned away. And there was literally no one there! They just missed out on a nice donation and could have allowed us to just at least look around. Just another reason we are moving!

This museum shown me more history of my home town than I had known. Giving Lacey those celebration sounds of fireing off canons and shooting off bullets like new years, the staff and educator gave this visit a historical experience. Awsome place and people!
