Great location, just a minute walk to the marina. Rooms are good sized, bed was very comfortable. It's been a long time since we had to pay for parking and breakfast at a hotel, so I didn't think to check if these were included in the price. They were not. Disappointed they didn't have coffee available after 10am. Overall, it was a good room. Would stay here again because of the location.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in order to have a fun night at dockside bistro across the street and not have to drive home. We ended up leaving the hotel at 1am and driving home because it was such a horrible "sleeping" experience. The wall AC is clearly set on a mode of operation designed to save the hotel money and not to allow the guest to achieve a comfortable temperature in their room. Its March in Washington and yet it was impossible to get the temperature of the room below "uncomfortably hot" - even with the AC set to cool, max fans, and 64. The bed was sloped down towards the head end so you felt upside down while trying to sleep. The mattress was also so worn out that you would constantly slip towards the center crevasse and be stuck in the hole there. Comically outdated small tv in a king suite with no connectivity/streaming options. Tiny and completely exposed parking lot with $10 fee. Strange fuzzy gray gunk on the inside of the rooms door. Would not recommend

Overall just a bland/boring corporate looking property. Rooms were small, bathrooms even smaller. View of downtown and Capitol building was a nice perk. The staff was outstanding and helpful during our entire stay, huge kudos to them! The pool was a nice size, albeit cold (we still swam, anyway!), and though the hot tub was broken, we didn't mind (though after a cold swim it would've been nice). Didn't try the breakfast since the Farmer's Market was so close by. Harbor Days was also fun, but might have been nice to know it was happening, as it was a little chaotic when we arrived at the hotel for check-in. All in all, a solid 3.5 star property. Would stay again when visiting Olympia in future as the location is right in the heart of downtown!

It's clean. I'll give it that. The staff is really good. We'll say that by comparison, a lot fewer corners are cut than the rest of the hotels in the immediate area. The food is terrible, but that's not the staff's fault. The one thing that I can point out that should be intuitively obvious is that the card reader to get in the actual hotel at night should work. This poor guy is gonna get up from the desk every time somebody comes to the door? That's no fun at 3 AM. Well maintained overall. 7 days. Colby, David, Matt, Justin, Paul, Brandon, Raven, Keith, Meghan, Lucia, Layaway, Cathy, Rosalina, Marisol, Dina, Evelyn, Kim, Chanh, in particular, were supremely helpful.

This is a review of my stay from 10/26/2023 to 11/06/23....****The location of this hotel is amazingly convenient. And that's all it has going for it! I stayed in the King suite and the first night, there was a baby roach on the edge of the bed. The comforter was old and filled with feathers; which ended up on the floor lol. The shower in room 246 is "remodeled" but the shower floor is dirty and the bathroom door is way too close to the toilet. As a diamond member, you get $15 food credit for each adult in your party You get "Continental breakfast" for $9.95 but kids I believe are free. You can also get free hazelnut and chocolate chip cookies and vegan cookies from the check-in counter. Aside for the location, that's all this place really has going for it. Hopefully this helps. Safe travels!

Staff is awesome! The beds are hard as brick. If thays what you like. These are the beds for you but our bed left us in pain and more tired than when we tried to go to sleep. Since sleeping in was our main goal and we were both up at 7am hurting like crazy I just can't leave a perfect review. Hot tub broken, but no big deal for us. Great view of the lake from the 3rd floor. Would not stay here again though, with these beds.

Wonderful service from the front desk employee Zack. He helped us make a last minute reservation, and then also warmly greeted us when we arrived. Our room was very clean and comfortable and we were very satisfied with the convenient location to the boardwalk. The room was spotless and very comfortable.

The hotel was great and the staff was nice. Buuutt the location was not the best. The doors were locked at night, when we came in homeless people would run in and try to get through the hotel. It's across from the marina and very nice during the day.

Geri, the General Manager, and Justin are rockstars! They are very helpful and responsive. Great attitudes with service to match. I was in town for a business trip. Arrived @ 1am completely exhausted. Geri did a great job of putting up with me and making sure I had what I needed to make my stay enjoyable. Justin did a great job listening and being responsive. He also had a couple of great suggestions for food and drink. Kind of wish some minor improvements would be made to the room and that they didn't charge $9.95 for breakfast. I could understand if they made food to order.... but it was not. Overall. It's definitely worth it.

Came for mother's day weekend. Cassandra was amazing! So accommodating, made us feel incredibly special. The area is clean and tons to do! Constant farmers markets and events. 10/10 will definitely come back here.

Recently stayed for several days for a work trip and had an excellent stay. I travel extensively for work and see many hotels. The rooms and facility were clean and well cared for. The staff was consistently welcoming and interested in ensuring we had everything we needed. I appreciated that the rooms were quiet. They have been updated and are clean and obviously well maintained. They have a new food / bar services manager and were openly seeking suggestions on how to polish their offering. The food / bar staff was friendly and attentive. As others have mentioned the location is excellent. Walking distance to several marinas, many restaurants and bars, easy access to businesses. There is a large parking lot but there is a fee for parking at the hotel. I will certainly stay here again.

Well...it's better than at least one alternative location (Marriott's TownePlace Suites), but probably not by much. Hotel charges for parking in their open lot, unless you all them out and they'll drop the charges. Poorly maintained facility; FOX News constantly blaring from one of the televisions in the restaurant/bar; inconsistent service; high price for food and beverages; poorly maintained facility.

Lovely hotel with very friendly people. Good location, almost on the water, easy walk to many bars restaurants and downtown, but far enough that the noise doesn't get there. Reccomend the Oly Taproom late night or Budd Bay Cafe for a sit down meal.

Rude employee at front desk, dirty room(dirty toilet bowl, gum stuck to bed frame), parking costs an extra $11 a day, pool was closed for maintenance, AC in the room wouldn't stay on, weren't put on the same floor as the wedding party that we were part of despite specifically requesting over a month ago. I have never written a negative review on this platform until now, but this place really dropped the ball. Definitely wouldn't stay there again, that's coming from a guy that once lived in a storage unit lol.

Location is great and it was the second time I stayed at this hotel. I did not have any issues with my first stay but I will not be coming back - the bathroom toilet smelled and the room start to smell once I turned on the heat. My coworker also had poor room cleanliness in a diff room.

This hotel is in a serious state of disrepair. The bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. There is blood on the walls. The ottoman in living room is torn up. The curtains are filthy. Half the rooms in the building are tented and are being gutted. The website advertises having electric vehicle charging and the front desk informed us there isn’t charging and that they need to update the website. On top of that parking costs $10 a day which is a joke. I am just getting back into staying with Hilton and this is leaving a really bad impression. Tried to use the online chat feature on Hilton.com to voice concerns and was told they can’t do anything since I was already checked in. You can’t take feedback on a property after some is checked in? What a joke. I have a lot of travel booked with Hilton this year, but I might need to start going back to Marriott after this.

Great location and the rooms are wonderful. I was helping a client and her family get ready for a wedding they were hosting at this hotel and everything seemed to be going extremely smooth. The room we got ready in, which was a normal hotel room, was spacious and well lit without my extra studio lights. It was conveniently located to amazing restaurants and right next to the pier which was nice. I would stay here if I was traveling.

Located right near downtown Olympia, we stayed New Year's Eve. We had a great room rate and a beautiful large double queen room. Everything was scrupulously clean and the room was well decorated . It's a great location within walking distance of good restaurants and whatever nightlife Olympia has to offer.

I'm giving this place 4 stars because the service was excellent and our room was pretty nice. My only complaint is the housekeeping. These women were extremely loud and starting romping the halls around 8am. Yelling at one another, making all kinds of noise, with no attempt to let anyone sleep. They even attempted to enter our room around 8:30 immediately after a short knock. Check out isn't til noon. Why wake everyone at 8am? We had a late night and had no plans to be awaken 4 hours before check out. I'd think twice about staying here again based on this one inconvenience. My sleep is important, and I had no want to be awaken at 8am on a Saturday.

When I walked in the room and realized it was not close to what I expected for a space that could accommodate 4 adults and a child as advertised, the last thing I was expecting was leaving a 5-star review. However, Justin at the front desk was very empathetic and did everything within his authority to made sure we felt taken care of. It didn't change the fact that I had to shell out $$$ for a last second room at another hotel for my parents, but how Justin handled the situation was a masterclass of how to turn an upsetting situation into one that somehow strengthens the customer's loyalty to the Hilton brand.

I left my headphones there and didn't realize until I was three hours away. I called them the next day and asked if they could ship to my house to the east coast. They said yes and we exchanged information. About two weeks later, they called me again to confirm some information to send the headphones. I just got them in the mail with the shipping receipt. I truly appreciate the front desk and cleaning staff. Thank you!

Front desk staff, Matt and Zack, were welcoming and hospitable on the phone as I changed reservations and called multiple times. My family enjoyed their stay. Thanks!

This property feels dated. But, the rooms are adequately sized and generally it seems well maintained. But it can also be a money pit If you're considering eating at the property.... STOP! The food is terrible and overpriced. A Hot pocket would put the personal pizza I ordered to shame. And the damn thing cost $18! Instead, take your dollars and spend them in one of the restaurants within several blocks. Better food and value. Also, the shower in our room was configured so that to turn it on you needed to get sprayed with cold water. It was both comical and torturous. The staff are courteous, which was appreciated, but unfortunately didn't make up for the shortcomings.

I don't need much in a hotel... Just a bed and shower. Still, I've come to expect a better class from DoubleTree. I've stayed in some nice DoubleTree properties...This isn't one of them. It's not bad. It just doesn't live up to the DoubleTree name. It's more of a Quality Inn... The room furnishing are really basic. Lots of beige pressed board furniture. The bathrooms were small with cheap vanities. Nothing with character. The pool and hot tub were broken (which we knew ahead of time)... Still, the price was really expensive for what you got. Location was great and the staff was very nice. Especially at the front desk and in the bar area... This place isn't horrible. Just nothing special like you'd expect.

A very nice 3 star hotel with a clean room, very comfortable pillow top mattress bed with a lovely down comforter. Great water pressure in shower and thick towels. It had a safe, coffee pot, mini fridge and microwave. Easy walking distance to the farmers market and nearby restaurants as well as the capital building. I would stay again when in the area. The staff I met were all wonderful.

The cleanest quietest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Perfect location to downtown wine bars and farmers market and waterfront.

Matt at the front desk was the sweetest most accommodating host. He made sure my sister and I had everything we needed. We were some of his first guests, but you could never tell. Great staff. Beautiful, clean rooms. Great stay overall! 10/10 would recommend 👌

Good location, but you have to pay extra to park in their lot. Pool was out of order when I arrived. I found several long hairs strewn about my hotel room, and I have short hair...

Overall the stay was great. Wonderful staff. Main reason for booking this hotel was because of the indoor pool, which ended up being closed for maintenance and nothing stating this while booking, so 3 stars. The exhaust fan did not work, so the room got muggy and musty after showerings. Also, there was no convenient store or gas station close by, so your looking at paying $7 for one microwavable hotpocket and 20 Oz lemonade. I also do not recommend drinking the Evian water they leave in the room. It's stale, if water can be stale, and tasted like plastic. I think I was charged six bucks for that as well.

Room was clean and fresh. Restaurants and marina in area. Neighborhood appears safe for walking around. Parking fee (self=park)was waived for guests, possibly because it was winter. Did not use any of the facilities. Some of our party bought breakfast at the hotel which appeared to be decent with lots of variety. Room to room soundproofing is adequate but you may hear your neighbors. I would stay here again

I travel a lot along i5 for work and recently stayed here for the first time, front desk was very friendly, room was clean and spacious. Appreciate that Diamond members get parking included for free. The location is great, easy to walk to all the bars and restaurants in downtown Olympia. Will stay at again.

I give 4 stars because of the excellent customer service and relations. Cassandra went out of her way to help secure a room with my specific needs and my best friend next to us when we were coming in for my moms memorial. Between Cassandra and the ever friendly Mary, we were well taken care of. I took away 1 star simply because the rooms need some renovation and deep cleaning, but the beds were super comfortable and the layout worked for us during this family event. The area it self was just perfect with lots of restaurants, farmers market, coffee shops and along the water. Thank you Cassandra for making a sad situation much better. Jill Maisonneuve

The location is perfect right by the water, restaurants, bars, downtown and marketplace. Rooms were spacious and clean. Very good service for breakfast. Everyone was very friendly. Reserved the conference room and it was perfect for 15 people.

Hotel was good and staff was friendly. However, we left an expensive pair of shoes in the room. We phoned the hotel and they had recovered my sons shoes and promised multiple times to send them back to us by mail. We even provided a credit card number to pay for shipping. We came back from summer vacation and our friend that checked the mail said no packages arrived. We called the hotel and they only said they had left it with the manager to send them back. There were no shipping charges and therefore I can only guess someone decided to keep them. So…not professional and not cool. Not impressed…basically theft or just incompetence.

The hotel was good in general and I heard it's the best in this area but I didn't like it much. There was a lot of construction going on .. the front desk people were okay. The cleanliness of the room was good enough but I would prefer more.

  • 2/5 Alexandra P. 2 years ago on Google
The only good thing about this hotel is the location and the front desk staff. I’ve stayed here three times this year and the last time I just decided not to give it another chance. While the staff is very friendly and helpful, the last time we stayed we had to switch rooms twice. Construction starts early in the morning and is so loud it wakes you up. Heater was broken in the second room. But worst of all, the shower is terrible. Luke warm at best, water pressure sucks and the shower head sprays everywhere. The design of the shower makes it so you have to walk in and stand under the water just to turn it on, so you get sprayed with cold water. Parking $10 a day, as others have mentioned. If I can’t have a hot shower, and can’t have peace and quiet because of construction, why would I stay here?

  • 3/5 Matthew A. 2 years ago on Google
Was told I had to park in the lot at $10+ tax. Turns out street parking was free between 5pm and 8am so that would have worked fine for me. Bottled water is $5, which is straight up highway robbery. I could hear footsteps above me until that person went to bed. Was asked by staff "what brings me to town" which is an annoying disingenuous question and frankly none of their business, kind of like when the cashier at wholefoods asks what your plans for the weekend are. Price was ~$180. There were no bedbugs and the room smelled fine. Toilet was clean. I mean if you didn't do your homework to find a good Airbnb ahead of time and you need something last minute in downtown Olympia, this is what there is. It's not bad. It's not great. Bring earplugs and check out the street parking before you decide to pay to use their lot.
