This is a nice hotel and the room was large and nice. It was clean with some mild wear and tear in the bathroom. The bed was rather firm and ok for my taste but probably too hard for some. The breakfast was pretty good. There were a lot of choices but could have used more hot food and some bacon. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I am only giving 4 stars because I believe that it was fairly overpriced for what you actually get. There is a nice lobby but that is about it as far as amenities. Forget about doing laundry unless you're carrying around a bunch of quarters. There was no app you could use or way to get change. I was told I could go to the bank down the street. I needed clean clothes for the morning and ended up having to wash some in the bathtub. Not ideal considering this is supposed to be a 3 star hotel. Even Motel 6 has the app for laundry. There is also no where to sit and relax outside the property. The grounds are beautiful but absolutely no outdoor seating or relief area for pets. There was a pool but didn't appear to have any seating or area to lounge. I didn't get a chance to check out the fitness center so I can't comment on that. Overall, it was an ok stay. I enjoyed the view from my room and the location was nice and peaceful but I didn't find anything extraordinary that would make me want to spend almost $200/night. You are mostly paying for a very nice lobby which also had unleashed dogs running around that approached me and my cat and made us rather uncomfortable because I am not a dog person. If you stay here I am sure that you will have a pleasant stay but you could probably get more for your money elsewhere.

Ugh the staff and trying to book a room was dang near impossible. They tried saying go to lacy or any other hotel near by named a few. I asked why they are pushing other hotels. That I was local and wanted it for a lil kid fun in the pool near our home. He said go to the Ramada which has a 24-hour pool I said my kids are too young for a 24-hour pool it's okay and he kept pushing it. We ended up staying and bed 🤢 nasty hard and make sure to ask for extra pillows. Just should have heard the guy out and gone to a different hotel.

Mason, the person working the front desk the night of arrival and departure, was a great, fun person, who went out of his way to get a tape measure to measure the bed in my room (it looked smaller than what I thought a queen bed was, but it was ultimately a queen bed). Outstanding service by him, and room was super clean, with a great breakfast. They have cooking supplies, but be sure to bring your own glasses and silverware!

Last night at about 2am I called to book a room and the guy tried very hard to NOT get me to stay there. Even suggested the Lacey location. I told him I really wanted to stay there. He said he only had his MOST EXPENSIVE room available but I said I'd take it. When I got there I found out that this hotel is not American. It absolutely refuses to accept cash at all. It says right on our money "this note is legal tender for all debts, public and private" (please take note of the word ALL). I even offered to put my credit card on file (with all the funds) and then pay in cash in the morning. When I asked about WHEN they stopped accepting legal tender the guy told me I had an attitude and then said "You know what, you had an attitude on the phone too. I'm refusing service to you. You can't get a room here." I told him I was only trying to have a conversation with him but left and found a much friendlier hotel at Best Western.

This hotel is terrible. I booked my trip online through there website, and a half day later they call to tell me they don’t have any rooms available. I drive my Family (two children one 5 one 2 hrs old) from Bainbridge island, to stay here to tell us we don’t have a room. How can you book online and not have a room I’m truly perplexed by this. I was scrambling at 8pm trying to find a hotel to stay in and had to drive the next town over 30 mins to find a place to stay. They did not provide any sort of customer service, didn’t offer to rebook me in another nearby hotel, didn’t give me a night credit, nothing! I will never stay at a la Quinta again!

Our stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tumwater - Olympia was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to the warm hospitality of Aaron and the entire staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine smiles and a level of service that truly exceeded our expectations. Our room was not only comfortable but also impeccably clean, which is something we greatly appreciated. Aaron went out of his way to ensure that we had everything we needed during our stay. The hotel’s amenities, including the pool and complimentary breakfast, added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. We left La Quinta inn & suites feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, knowing that we had experienced a stay that was beyond amazing. If you’re looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay, we wholeheartedly recommend La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tumwater - Olympia and the outstanding service provided by Aaron. Thank you for making our trip memorable!

Aaron, it appears he is working multiple roles and very well I might add we had a late check in for one night stay with rewards points. He knew what to do and quickly got us our room and keys for the night. I mentioned vegan eatery options and he had a referral from another staff member that was within walking distance. Great service and pleasant professionalism by Aaron! The room was good sized and well maintained, especially for a location that allows pets to stay with you! My only opportunity for this location is the limited parking - however the facility seems to have made procedural changes and now require a parking pass be displayed. This helped in my opinion with the constraint. Breakfast comes with the room and has many options. I was hoping for potatoes but alas they had none. They did have hot egg and cheese premade omelets and sausages. Hubby said omelets were tasty! They had fresh cereal and non-dairy milk which was good for coffee too! All in all a good nights rest and nice place to stay. Oh and if you see Aaron, give him kudos for being there night and day and for pinching in to help with cleanup too!

We where there as a group baseball team playing games over night at the hub. They where very accommodating in getting our rooms on the same floor and giving us a late check out. The staff is Very friendly. The rooms where very clean and comfortable. The Breakfast is simple but well stocked. It is what most hotels offer. There front entrance had lots of room to gather and eat. They had items you could buy if you forgot anything. The only drawback was there pool heater was down at no fault of there's and they where fixing it. Thank you to all the staff for making it a comfortable stay.

Absolutely amazing stay for myself. Room was super clean very comfy, bedding was very clean. Bathrooms and room was super clean. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend for anyone staying in town. Parking isn’t bad either super good. Safe area. I-5 is right next to the hotel and I had no issues with the noise. Only down side is hot water didn’t stay hot for very long at all not sure if it was just my room. I stayed in room 203. Otherwise great experience definitely recommend.

My family of 5 had a 10+ day stay here and I have to say it doesn’t get better than this. Everything was always clean, coffee was hot, breakfast had lots of options and the rooms are a generous size. Staff was super friendly and totally professional. The consistency and quality here is really unmatched by any other hotel I’ve stayed at in the area. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Nice hotel with modern vibe. Front desk clerk was super friendly and welcoming(I don't remember his name but he had the old dog behind the desk). Pets are welcome here. Room was clean. Shower had amazing pressure tho the handle was stuck off and took everything in me to get it turned. Issues we had was a/c not working properly so we roasted all night. It worked but after a few minutes it would switch itself to auto and shut off. It was miserably hot in the room. The other issue was the bed was so incredibly uncomfortable. Hard as a rock. I've slept on hardwood floors that had more give. Another issue, which wasn't a terrible thing, just annoying, was the curtains...they are blackout curtains but the light coming thru the pleats at the bottom negate the purpose of them "blacking-out" so we were woke early due to it. Lastly, the door didn't close, you had to pull/push it shut. Tho I wasn't too upset by this because it was nice to not have to hear the typical slam that hotel doors do. This seemed to be specific to our room because we heard everyone else doors slam thruout the evening/night. Aside from the issues, if the bed was soft and I actually got a full night's sleep, I would have rated higher because overall it was a great room/hotel. If you like a hard bed, you won't go wrong staying here. If u are like me and need a plush, comfy bed then this is not the place to stay, It also looked like they had a great continental breakfast but my back was hurting so bad from the bed, I just wanted to go so we didn't get a chance to try it, unfortunately.

Great location. Easy check-in. Had an issue the first visit, but Dan helped me out and made me laugh. Everything is shiny, clean. Seems very modern. Beds are a bit on the firm side. It is a bit more expensive than one would hope. My 3rd floor room had weak water pressure but the 4th floor room had fantastic water pressure and better pillows. I am sure I will be back again.

Hotel was ok. pool was small and cold. They filled in the hot tub with concrete and put a rug over it. A hot tub or a sauna would have been nice. Website says they have late checkout but we were not allowed a late checkout. Only one elevator was running. Breakfast was ok. Aaaand they put us in the room right behind the elevator. We would recomend going somewhere better even if you have to pay more.

I stayed here for 7 nights over the past two weeks. The rooms are average at best. Water damage in the bathrooms, smells kinda different. The pillows are too hard and not comfortable so I recommend bringing your own. The breakfast they serve in the morning is disgusting. The scrambled eggs were cold and obviously dehydrated eggs. The sausage most days is cold and one day it was like eating beef jerky. The little omelets they serve are gross. The cheese inside is worse than Kraft and again they they were cold. The biscuits and gravy were probably the best but that's not saying much unless you like canned sausage gravy. Staff was friendly but they are obviously frustrated with high turnover in leadership. They cut corners, refuse to repair things that don't work properly. I won't stay here again.

This La Quinta is located right off the freeway. Quiet with good service at the front desk and clean rooms. They helped us out with our complex booking issues and fixed them for us at 4 in the morning. If you are in need of a quick stop for a rest off the freeway or a hotel for a few days, I recommend it here.

The hotel was very nice. Enjoyed the breakfast. Staff was amazing during checking, anticipated our needs before we had to ask. Rooms were comfortable. Pool was slightly cold, the hot tub was boarded up which was unfortunate. The pillows weren't that comfortable. For being in town the views were good and the road noise was minimal.

Nice place to stay. Clean inside & outside. Parking was safe, no problem. On check in clerk was not too friendly. On check out, different clerk was very nice. Housekeeping was nice as well. Room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was really great. Good variety & attendants kept it supplied & clean.

This place is nice and the breakfast bar is fantastic. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious. The overall appearance is clean and the staff is friendly. The pool is open and clean, although there is no hot tub or sauna. They have carts you can use to take your luggage to your rm. The LA Quinta in Lacey only has one and its never by the door so you have to haul your own stuff in multiple trips, very tiring.

After being treated horribly at the Super 8 in Shelton & having to call Wyndham to get my rewards points back for a free night. I booked it with LA Quinta in Tumwater, a little hesitant after what I just went through. From the moment I walked into the lobby to check in, it was an awesome experience. Granted they were having problems with the room keys & the girls at the front desk weren't sure how to use my points to pay for the room. But they put every effort into taking care of me. I tried apologizing & they said, "no we're sorry, you're the guest". After a few failed attempts, they gave me a room & told me not to worry they would get it resolved & they did. We stayed in the executive suite, which we (my husband, 9 yr old daughter & I) fell in love with. We loved it so much we went back mother's day for the weekend & then again yesterday, just checked out this morning; to take our daughter swimming since she had an ear infection last weekend & didn't get to enjoy it as much. It's a little bit of a drive for us, but so worth it. The prices are great, same with cleanliness, staff friendliness, and it's a beautiful hotel with a clean pool & fitness center. It's our new #1 choice for hotels. I almost didn't give the review, due to wanting to be able to book without competition lol, but they definitely earned a 5 star review & I'm not that selfish.

Excellent stay - this La Quinta is 5 star all around and i will definitely be back. The rooms are spotless, the bed is comfy and the price is right. James - the AGM- was incredibly kind and professional when checking us ( me and my pup) in and Lori runs a magnificent morning breakfast operation - . She is kind and serves the best bacon in town. Scott checked me out with true professionalism as well. I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff at this hotel. Clearly the management needs to also take a bow. What a wonderful stay!

It was okay. Staff was friendly. Complimentary breakfast was good. They have coffee available in the lobby. Price was okay. Parking was good. There is a paved sidewalk where you can walk down the street safely. Two cons I'd mention are the smell and the filthy hair dryer. My jacket still smells of this place. At first you get hit with the pool smell, then cleaner, then must. I smelled the must throughout and also very heavily in the stairwell while exiting for my walk. I came through a different entrance when I got back so I didn't have the smell it again. The hair dryer was so dirty. It reminded me of stovetop grease. It was also burned in spots. I wouldn't have used it unless I needed too. I scrubbed my hands very thoroughly after using it.

We enjoyed our short stay at the hotel. The location is perfect to travel further to the South or West when you start from BC. We made it to the Oregon coast in 2 hours something and got back to the hotel making a loop through Portland. Spacious clean room, nice clean bathroom, decent breakfast. Loved ice water and choice of teas in the Lobby. Staff was very friendly and always helpful.

Amazing stay with LaQuinta Inn & Suites, The receptionist was kind enough to provide Government rate for my two week stay. Went well: The rooms were pleasent, clean and accomidting. The breakfast was refreshing to see they serve real breakfast. Real bacon 🥓 or sausage. They had a well stocked supply of snacks in case I needed any last min munchies. Could do better: My room was at the far corner of the building and Wi-Fi would often times drop while doing virtual calls. Wish I had an extra light in my room even with the windows wide open or all the lights on the lighting in my room was dim. All in all my stay was pleasent and positive. I would highly recommend the La Quinta Inn & Suites to my fellow workers and would look forward to staying there in the future.

We enjoyed our stay! We experienced more friendly, kind and loyal customer service at this hotel compared to even the most expensive and high-end hotels. Thank you, La Quinta, Tumwater. We will definitely be back!

Me and my roommates had to stay here for a couple of nights, we were getting major plumbing work done. The staff was very friendly, professional, and helped us get our requests handled! I use a manual wheelchair, and I can attest to the fact that their ADA accessible rooms, particularly with a roll in shower, they exceeded my expectations. Also, personal shout out to Gonzo, and James at the front counter! They were helpful in making sure I was able to get breakfast in the morning, and even when I left an item behind, Gonzo acted promptly, and set it aside for me to pick up the following day after we checked out. Rooms were clean, wi fi was good, and the amenities are great, as well as their location being right off of Capitol Boulevard, near a major city bus line. I don't drive, so being close to public transportation is a plus! I would recommend this location to anyone with accessibility needs, as all of their on site rec rooms, conference rooms, laundry room, dining areas are ADA accessible! All staff is well trained, respectful of space, and attentive to needs of disabled folks! Thank you so much to all the staff at La Quinta, in Tumwater! Cheers, Eric Franks

Super friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Furniture and fixtures slightly worn like all hotels we've been to post Covid but the service was hands down the best.

Nice place, rooms are kind of small, but they all are nowadays. I chose this place over other hotels in the area mainly because of the free breakfast and parking, but to be honest, the breakfast wasn't very good, and I would easily have paid $10 at another hotel. I stayed two nights, and breakfast on the first day was nothing but instant scrambled eggs and instant potato cubes, both from dehydrated product. Very bad food. The oatmeal was from packets, mostly sugar, and no plain. The breakfast on the second day was a little better, they had good biscuits with gravy, as well as the eggs and potatoes, so I guess they didn't have that the first day. Room was nice, just a little small, as I said earlier. Staff was friendly, would stay there again, but just do yourself a favor and buy your breakfast elsewhere.

Large, clean rooms. Modern look, nice views. Pool and gym. The breakfast was a great bonus, with quite a few options to choose from. Most of the staff was very kind and helpful. James was absolutely phenomenal!! He is an asset to their business for sure! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others as well :)

Appreciate the location and quietness of our stay. What was very dissatisfying was having to shower in cool water. Hot showers are really important to me but here the water temp was turned way down. This attempt to save energy caused the waste of a lot of water in hopes it would warm up. The lighting was very low wattage which is the norm at hotels but coupled with the paint scheme of black, dark purple, lime and dark gray the room was very dark. It was much too dark for reading so would not be suitable for a business or working stay.

This past summer I went a road trip with my boyfriend from Michigan out to the Olympia-Tumwater area, as this was where he grew up. Out of all the hotels we have stayed at traveling across the country on our two week trip, this one was definitely the best by a long shot! At check in, the staff who was working the pm shift, I believe their names were Kayla and Brad if I remember correctly, were awesome! They were very personable and gave tons of great recommendations on things to do as someone who was traveling into the area for the first time. Along with having a great and personable staff, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the hotel is located close by to a lot of amazing attractions in the area. When we come to visit in the future, this will definitely be the place we are staying from now on :)

This hotel was a great hotel in its first year. Since then we have been back and it has gone down hill quite rapidly. Unfortunately it has become full of homeless, pot smoking vagrants. The rooms are average and can be dealt with but the clientele is sub parr to say the least. The pool is not safe for kids either. A weird green fungi existed on our visit. All in all this is not a family friendly hotel. Save your money and spend it else where. The bones of this hotel are great but something drastic has to happen for us to visit again.
