2 main trail options, 1 mile and 2 mile. The first loop takes you around 1 side of a small scenic pond/small lake. You can find blackberries here in july. I haven't tried the 2 mile loop yet. There is not much seating for any rest stops. There is some incline but not terrible. If someone in a wheelchair wanted to they could access the back half (or 3rd) of the 1 mile loop until it reaches a small creek that is crossed by a literal log bridge. But the other side winds through some trees and the trail is narrow and rutted with tree roots and not accessible by wheelchair. Very beautiful in the Fall. Only bathroom is a port a potty near parking entrance. Dogs allowed on leashes.

A great escape on quiet trails. Thanks Capitol Land Trust for preserving this land. There were many dog walkers with unleashed dogs which is not allowed.

This is a pretty easy walk/hike with Lucinda Lake, Darlin Creek and a pond as the highlights. There is a small parking lot. It looks like parking along the street but if you drive closer to the barriers you will see a lot. There is a port a potty at the start of the loop if you really need to releive yourself. This is a moderately trafficed loop. I saw some couples and people walking with their dogs and smaller children.

The Preserve consists of 2 small remote trails and a lake. Very idyllic, quiet, not easy to get to from main city areas. I started to walk the shorter trail but my dog got a little growly just past the lake and may have picked up on some nearby wildlife. Who can say. It's a remote spot, so keep your eyes peeled and don't go at night! Olympic Otter

We had a wonderful time walking the trails. I brought a stroller, but won't next time. We saw a fawn hop along the path, evidence of woodpeckers and beavers. We'll be back again, very peaceful.

A perfect St. patricka Day. One place in the loop that was super muddy but its a big trail and easy for kids. Awesome preservation. Can't wait to come back in the autumn!

Very beautiful and peaceful hiking area, away from the bustle of the city. Beautiful winter scene! Careful on the roads!

This was a fun little hike. The sun was in our eyes in a few areas & it was overall busier than we liked, but the trail was wide & well-kept. We'll likely be back, just at a different time.

If you're an ammosexual freak who'd rather hear gunfire than bird song, this is the hike for you! If you're not a sadsack Rambo cosplayer with a post apocalyptic survival wet dream, I'd pass. I saw some cool stuff, but the constant barrage of gunfire left me more stressed when I finished than when I started, a new record. Hooray.

A quiet solemn nature preserve with nice walking trails that take you along the Lake of Lucinda, to the trails of the lower Capital Forrest. You can find wild-life here as well as small turtles 🐢 on the banks of Lake Lucinda, even Carp swim in this Lake. A great place for Discovery of all sorts, meeting a friend, a jog, or exercise, its peaceful and scenic.

Don't come here. It's gorgeous and serene and peaceful. So please, avoid it. If you absolutely must come here and bathe in the sublimity that is this hidden treasure chest of buried nature, then I beg of you: don't tell your friends.

Was pretty quiet and clean. Had clear signs marking the trails and the trails were easy to walk. Dogs are allowed on leash. There is a very clean porta potty at the entrance to the preserve. Overall, a nice hike!

I didn't see any sign of anything while I was there. It may not be deep-woods to alot of people, but you don't feel like you're ten minutes from downtown though either. I'll be back.. when I'm better equipped and there's more daylight ahead of me, when it's been planned a little better ahead of time.
