Quality produce and helpful clerk in the produce department. However, the clerk who was so concerned about me simply catching my breath while wearing my mask properly, “Ma’am, please put your mask on properly or you can’t shop here,” convinced me that I am not welcome. So sorry that I have breathing problems. I will never walk through your doors again.

I’ve been having the best experiences in this store, the first time I came in like a year ago, I had a pretty bad experience but they have stepped up the warmness. I really appreciate that they are kind and welcoming. I feel more comfortable shopping in here and love all their products. I came in looking for a local goat cheese and they explained to me that they usually have it but it seems they could be out of stock, a beautiful man assisted me in finding an alternative cheese and we talked for a bit. It was great to experience the feeling they portray on the website. I will continue shopping here for high quality products

Came in here for the first time after scouring the website. The page made it seem like the most welcoming friendly place but whole different vibe walking in. Everyone is glaring at u as you shop. Not very friendly as the website described it as. Really crazy high prices as well. There's definitely not anyone greeting you or willing to assist when you need it. The hippies I'm used to are very loving and friendly for no reason at all. Definitely not the case here at all.

Absolutely wonderful place to shop. Their selection of high quality food is outstanding. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the entire operation is clearly dedicated to respecting people and food. Membership is cheap and well worth it. Update: still amazing. Great selection of produce. The fresh local bread is wonderful. Update: don't forget the bread and fresh food!

We prefer the location in the west Olympia area. The Pacific avenue location was very busy, and the staff were not very friendly while moving through the aisles. The place felt small and inconvenient even though the west side location is actually smaller. Overall, we love the co-op and will shop them before the big stores every time!

Small store but good selection of the healthy foods we are used to eating. We moved here from another state and were pleased to discover the Co-op carried 95% of what we needed. The staff is friendly and the vibes are great!

Wide variety of products. Some of which I'd never seen before. Staff are all very kind and knowledgeable. The produce is locally sourced so its super fresh. I asked about fresh burdock greens. They only had the root and told me they would ask the farm they get the roots from if they can get greens from them. Ive never been to a store that cares so much about their costumes. Definitely my new favorite place! 😍

Over time, this has become my first stop for groceries, here. Vegetables are consistently fresh and the selection of locally sourced and organic food is great. The bulk bins turn over quickly so the contents are pretty fresh.

I was in the co-op movement back in the 1970s--worked for one, belonged to three, so I can say from experience: These guys are doing it right. The grocery business is tough; adding social responsibility, commitment to organic nutritious food, transparency, democratic process, etc., etc., etc., can make it tougher, so most co-ops fold pretty quickly--but OFC has figured out how to make it work long-term, and that alone is admirable. From the street, it's a well-run pair of stores with good consistent hours and practically all the groceries I need--plus a niche product I hadn't seen on a shelf in 40 years.

Great selection of hard kombuchas & other weird beverages at not obscene prices. Mostly cool crew working here, to boot. Their bulk bins are great. Minus one star just cos most prices are Whole Foods-esque overall. Bummed they don’t have the red cedar hard kombucha anymore! But they still have lots of great items & esp the aforementioned bulk section is glorious.

Wonderful co-op. I'll write my little grocery list, on paper, with a pen, and figure I'll need to go to a couple stores at least to get all the stuff I need. I've done a few times, and then I go to The Coop first, end up getting everything I need right there ! Great selection. Love the natural choices and everything. Power to the people 🏵️

This co-op is a gem in Olympia. they always have friendly service, and are always willing to help you find stuff. Even though it’s a little cramped for a supermarket, it’s quite well stocked. The produce cannot be beat. And the offerings in the refrigerated case is great. They have a good selection of earth, friendly, coffee as well.

This place is excellent. -Super helpful and friendly staff -Clean and well organized -Great selection of fresh high quality local produce and meat -Raw milk and cheese Put a smile on my face for sure. Recommend you check it out, it would be well worth going out of your way to get here. My thanks to those involved, keep it up!

Love the local, organic, fair trade groceries! Lots of dairy free and gluten free options.

The co-op stocks their shelves with products from local businesses and when they choose non local business they're very particular about who they choose to support. I feel assured that my money is well spent here. That's just the beginning of why I love shopping here

Great people! Great produce! Haven't tried any of the soups at the hot bar yet, but they smelled delicious today!

  • 2/5 Canter W. 6 months ago on Google
I’ve really tried to support this place because I prefer local businesses and like co-ops. The checkout process is ridiculously slow (think “post office” level slow), I just get too frustrated spending the same amount of time checking out as I did shopping. They wait until the lines are 5-7 people deep before adding another checker which might not sound too bad if it didn’t take a good 5+ minutes to check out each person regardless of how much they’re purchasing. I realize there are a lot of volunteers, I tried to have patience for a few years, actually, but can only do so much.

This is the only place we could find that has truly organic all natural food with no parabens, phalates, seed oils or other nasty stuff. Truly a great find if you are looking for local healthy food that isn’t toxic or sprayed with chemicals!

This is such a great co-op. They have a great selection of groceries, ready-to-eat foods, bulk foods, and home goods. Everyone is super friendly, and the membership is less than $20 for a year! I highly recommend it, and I'm now a member as well.

  • 3/5 Jake 10 months ago on Google
The selection honestly is not that great. Not many options for fresher, healthier food, mostly prepared/processed food and junk food (but it’s organic!). Insanely high prices too. You can occasionally find some unique items though and produce that they have is quality. Staff was not rude but not friendly—that seems to be Olympia’s overall vibe though.

Awesome selection and amazing people. If you search organic/healthy/no preservatives... this is the place, search no further.

I'll admit, when I first moved to Olympia from Seattle, I was initially disappointed. The Olympia Food Co-op Eastside is so much smaller than PCC! However, I soon discovered everything I need -- and more -- is tucked away on the shelves. I just needed to look carefully. What's so cool is I discovered many wonderful products that were new to me. And the prices are cheaper than PCC. More importantly, I've found great mercantile items, like the sweatshirts (I've bought 3!) and friendly cashiers. One tells silly jokes that always raise my raise my spirits. 😎 Another greets me in Spanish, warming my heart, as I dig deep to remember the Spanish I learned in university, Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador. Community and great food/mercantile! 💜

I really wish Olympia had a PCC like they have in Seattle, but the Olympia co-op is better than nothing. The store is small and the layout is very strange. Friendly employees and they have most stuff that I need.

As with the sister location, there's a bulk supply of things which are hard to get elsewhere and good pricing. However, they don't have one of my standard purchases I get at the other coop, so I end up never shopping here.

Nice little market with almost local produce to support local family farms and local businesses. Very good healthy choices. If you live close to this location I definitely recommend a visit.

They almost always have everything I need. Customer service is great, they're very helpful if you can't find something. The quality of the products they carry is top notch.

Wonderful produce, great pre-made food, respectable non-perishables and snacks. Membership is incredibly cheap, and the food is not THAT much more expensive than big chain stores. Some, but not as much as people might think. This is pretty much the only place I regularly get groceries.

  • 5/5 Aylis J L. 1 year ago on Google
You don't go to Olympia Food Co-Op because they are the cheapest option but if you want hyper local, crazy good groceries with a new discovery on the regular, join this community standard. You can volunteer there too!

Easy in and out. Excellent bulk selection. Super low annual fee. Local prepared food. Awesome treatyoself options.

Life saving business! Thank you. I've lived in areas without food co-op's and I definitely missed being near a good food co-op. Olympia Food Co-op is excellent! Good selection of local produce, staple packaged foods, relatively local meats/seafood, and essential non-food items. Proud to be a member!

I used to volunteer here. Many of the workers her were nice enough but for the most part I didn't feel like volunteers like myself were respected as most of the regular workers paid little heed to our efforts. There was a sense of a "good ol' boy" atmosphere despite the best efforts of a few people here (como Alejandro). From my experience this place didn't have a real coop, community vibe; you had to be one of them to be accepted. Too bad. And their products are too expensive for most people and families.

  • 5/5 Kristine G. 2 years ago on Google
The best produce. They source a lot of their produce locally and you can get it at a fraction of the price that you would pay at the farmer's market. The quality is so much better than your standard grocery store. It can be a little cramped inside the store, but if you pick your hours right, it's not an issue.

  • 4/5 Trista T. 2 years ago on Google
Great local food coop. Give the volunteer cashiers a bit of a break, they’re working for free to make your organic sand local foods more affordable! It may not be fancy, but it’s one of the best food coops in the country.

  • 5/5 Tiffany S. 2 years ago on Google
I love this place! Staff/member owners are friendly and knowledgeable. This tiny shop has almost everything. My number one requirement for a grocery is that they have a variety of fresh produce. This place not only checks that box, but surprises me all the time with their selection and sale prices on produce! Love the bulk department. This is my main store even though it’s not my closest store.

👍👍 Been our local convenience store for 5+ years. The owners who work most days are the best. Super nice and always friendly to whomever comes in. Plus there patience with the homeless folks makes me proud to be an Olympian. As long as we live close... this will be our quick munchie spot. Deuces
