Awesome grocery store with lots of variety for brands and fresh deli and produce. Really enjoy how clean they keep their store and the meticulous work they’ve put into making each department great. We’re used to living in a small town so the massive selection of the bakery, deli, and Asian takeout areas amazed us. It’s a top notch place, very modern with well trained and courteous employees. They were all very polite to us, an employee even paused cleaning the ladies restroom to let us have a turn before getting back to work. I really enjoy the Baylis & Harding soap I found in the pharmacy area from England, if you’re looking to try something new for the home!! And it’s very close to their book section which is like a mini Barnes & Noble. Their floral department was beautiful and the cashier was very kind towards my Grandpa who was shopping with us. :)) It’s a bit pricier so if you’re on a budget Haggen may be better for every once in a while, but the takeout was enough to have leftovers for a couple nights which ultimately helped us be frugal.

To the bakery workers this morning. Omg!!! Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was immaculate. The smell alone coming from the bakery dept... it was over for me and touched the depth of my soul! I wanted to take everything home. Every single display looked like it came straight out of a magazine. I did not have the will power to resist and I was only in the store to buy a cabbage!!

Best grocery store in the town. I am a fan of Fred Meyer for a long time, but Haggen might be converting me silently. Very fresh veggies and fruits, and a large selection of really tasty deli and hot meals. I avoid buying plants from chain stores, but Haggen is an exception. They care for the plants and keep them in great shape. Update 13 Sep: I continue to be impressed by the freshness and variety of produce.

Store seemed great. Clean, fresh vegetables, everything organized. I am not a fan, however, as I was followed around the store by a very blatant employee thinking I was stealing. It was 25mph winds outside and torrential rain so being that i stopped at my lunch hour I was in my rain gear walking around with my $4 pasta salad and looking for something ele to go with it. Mind Absolutely blown. Will not return here

This is my favorite grocery store in Thurston County. While some complain the prices are too high in general at Haggen, I find the store makes up for those in other ways. The produce is always excellent: I've never found any vegetables or fruit on display in questionable condition. Also, I've been in the store at all times of day and night and never seen an empty produce display, unlike the Martin Way Safeway store, for example. Haggen also has a full-service deli as well as an excellent cheese department and house-made sandwiches, dips, and sauces. Additionally, the store has both sushi and Chinese-American fast food, a full bakery, fresh seafood and meat department, and bulk foods. The liquor, beer, and wine selection appears large. The only shortfall I see in the store is that it is difficult to find low-sodium prepared foods. The staff and management of the Haggen store is friendly and seems to genuinely value their relationships with local customers. This is a major contrast with other Safeway/Albertson's owned stores in the region.

Normally my family and I are very happy and excited to visit Haggens off Cooper and Black Lake BLVD, however, today’s visit sucked to be treated this way. My cashier Aaliyah (spelling might be wrong) was very rude and disgruntled. They clearly don’t enjoy their job. Watching my expensive groceries slammed down and tossed into the bag like garbage is very rude. Then when I tried to make eye contact and say hi the employee just looked down and refuse to acknowledge us. This same employee did this with the two customers before me as well. If this employee doesn’t like interacting with paying customers then they shouldn’t be a cashier. Perhaps a different department is more suitable. It’s sad to say but I get better customer service from Walmart.

Very clean. They are owned by Safeway, and you can tell by some signature items, but the two stores are like night and day. The moment you walk in, you are walking through wonderfully arranged fresh produce, and then you are hit with this beautiful aroma of fresh, sweet flowers. Although they are slightly more expensive on some things, I really don't mind it because of the total experience. Chances are that you might have a better chance at finding what you want here because they have a bigger selection of everything, and you will enjoy walking through the isles. Oh, this is a big deal... They have their very own true bakery with the best and freshest Donuts in town. They even bake some of the cakes. Did I say clean? The deli is huge, spanning one whole side of the store. We love that Starbucks has a nice sitting area all to itself just to relax and take a moment. Needles to say, I wish it was closer to my home. My mother was in hospitality, and she always said that "if you want to know how a business is run in the back behind closed doors, then check out their bathrooms." I did, and it was clean and very well maintained. I ran into a lady sitting in Starbucks that shared with me that she lives across the street from a well-known grocery store, but she travels all the way across town to come to Haggens becauseshe said that there was no other place like it, and she has been shopping here since they opened. If you haven't been to Haggens grocery store, have an open mind and go check it out, if only for the experience.

In the Olympia region it's the best deli, and the best selection of gourmet items, especially cheeses. Best supermarket Chinese food and sushi. Great butcher section. Best overall supermarket.

We just moved up here from Florida last year, if you're from the South, Haggen is the closest match to Publix in the PNW. Fantastic deli and bakery, tons of fresh fruit, vegetables, meats and a great selection of beer and wine.

I love this place!! The meat department is awesome. I don't like the prices, though. It's pretty expensive to shop here. We got 2 grocery bags, and it was $160.00. Ouch!! We did get this flat bread pizza. I can't wait to try it 😋

Just visited Haggen in Olympia, and I'm impressed! A fantastic grocery store with fresh, high-quality produce and a wide selection of local goods. Friendly, helpful staff really made shopping a pleasure. Prices are fair, too. Perfect for everyday needs or a gourmet indulgence! 🛒🌟🍎

Store is always stocked, clean store. Experience with the Cashiers, Not friendly or helpful when it comes to solving a problem they have no anticipation to solve it.

Has been taken over by Albertsons (Safeway) so all the great things we had at Haggen may disappear into another Safeway vibe.

I ordered a fresh turkey, but got a frozen one instead. This happened last year as well, which I thought it was just a miscommunication, but this time I was assured it was fresh and was told the 'protective covering makes it feel frozen.' I probably have just enough time to thaw it but not enough time to dry baste it the way I wanted. Do not order one thinking it will be fresh, it will be frozen

On 10/11/23 at 3 pm I was very rudely waited on some young employee in the meat department. I was not greeted by a sullen individual. I asked for several stuffed pork chops and witout a word he slammed the package he had just wrapped on the counter sending stuff flying. At this point I left. I dont know what his problem but it wasn’t going to be mine. Horrible public service!

I have been shopping at Haagens every week since 2020. The reason I drive to this store was for several reasons but mostly because of the kind and wonderful staff. Recently I’ve noticed some changes but nothing too concerning, until the last 2 weeks. I gave 3 stars because there are good things about this store but there is one horrible thing about it and her name is ELIZABETH. Last week I had a situation with her that she legitimately slammed my groceries into my bags, she was MAD, she threw my receipt at me and wouldn’t give me my cash back and when I asked her if I did something to upset her she snapped back at me and told me she needed to get customers out of the store. I was so taken back I left the store and actually went back in and let a manager know how I was treated. He profusely apologized and was definitely genuine. Rearranged my groceries for me and said sorry and I went on my way. Today, my sister hits up Haagens. She sends me a text as she’s checking out and asks me if the woman that destroyed my groceries was named Elizabeth. I said yes….. She proceeds to tell me she was just treated the same, her groceries were thrown into her bags and ELIZABETH was slamming onto her screen just mad at the world. HEY HAAGENS! Without your customers you can’t keep your doors open. If you continue to employ people that treat your customers like dirt on their shoe you’re going to lose us at a fast pace. Elizabeth if you’re reading this, when I had anger issues I joined a kick boxing gym and it helped alot.

The produce department is not only extensive, think unusual ingredients, but it's absolutely beautiful. It's a common gorgeous display to walk into. Major props. Same thing for the meat department and bakery. Eat your heart out Ralphs! 🙂

The prices are high but it's a nice store with a great selection of quality items. The best thing is you don't have the shady people wandering around that you get at most other grocery stores these days.

Has a great variety of different products and produce. The prices for the organic products is a great deal more expensive than elsewhere. Always nice to walk through and checking out the meats and seafood in the back is always a must if you are wanting a idea to pair with wine. The price is the only reason it gets 3 star's.

Hagen will always be Top Foods in my family, but still provide a great place to pick-up last-minute needs close to home. Love that they've kept the train track in the old candy bin area in the back after the remodel. Prices fluctuate understandably.

They have a really nice produce section. And we love their Tai Noodle Salad from the deli. Also great donuts. They have a nice selection of items throughout the store too.

Large store with a wide selection of products. Very clean inside with good quality produce. It has a pharmacy, Starbucks, and self checkout which are highly convenient. Only downside is their prices are notably higher than other groceries in the area.

I actually thought this to myself as I was checking out yesterday... I will probably never shop there again. A 7-foot trans-whatever had absolutely no respect for personal space and an attitude as big as it was. Then the trans-whatever cashier spent more time than necessary telling each of the customers ahead of me just how cold and tired it was. Almost five minutes was the time it took for it to ring up 11 items ahead of me, but also to talk about video games and other nonsense while people in line were in an obvious hurry to get going. At the price of most of the products I saw, there are plenty of other places to go grocery shopping in this town.

Great customer service and local place that carries Bawls in both cherry and root beer energy drinks which is extra awesome because I don't like regular too much. Great customer service and always clean check-outs. All around decent place to shop in my experiences

My favorite store, they have almost everything I need, and specialize in local providers so the money I spend helps my neighbors sustain their businesses. Clean, friendly, fair prices.

Very good bakery. Some years ago I tried their Thai Chicken salad in the deli, they still have it because it is very good, in my opinion. Cashier working with U-scan was very helpful and friendly.

A pleasant alternative to the local Safeway. Extensive seafood selection and traditional butchers in the back. Never crowded and in my experience, have never observed full cart shoppers. Still, convenient for those quick pop-ins and when Trader Joes is closed.

Haggens Olympia is a great store! It’s always so exceptionally clean and the staff is friendly and willing to help. The assortment of fresh salads in the deli is unsurpassed by any grocery in town -they are tasty and fresh! The bakery is another diamond in the store - items are baked on site and 5 star! Can’t say enough about the meat/seafood department - huge assortment of meats and ready to cook items that are prepared in the store. Produce department is excellent as well - vegetables and fruits are always fresh. To sum it up - entire store is unbeatable for quality and excellence.

🫤 Quality produce and helpful clerk in the produce department. However, the clerk who was so concerned about me simply catching my breath while wearing my mask properly, “Ma’am, please put your mask on properly or you can’t shop here,” convinced me that I am not welcome. So sorry that I have breathing...
