We were excited to try Emperor's Palace. Every time we go past the place looks busy so went in. Old school entrance (vestibule). Lively bar area, playing Karaoke when we were there so off to a good start. Customer Service was excellent. We were promptly served. We ordered the #7 (Orange Chicken and Sweet/sour pork) and #11 (General Tso's chicken, Almond chicken) dinner combos. Looked good on the plate (see pics) but we were underwhelmed. So-so Chinese. Pork fried rice didn't even taste like pork fried rice. It was in a pile formed by a cup. Strange. Also the chicken were the same and probably interchangeable. Just used different sauces (Orange vs. General Tso's). Overall. 'meh'. For a price tag of nearly $40 can't see myself coming back. For half the price, fresher and better tasting Chinese go to PANDA EXPRESS just down the street. If you are still wanting to experience a finer dining Chinese experience I HIGHLY recommend INDOCHINE in the UW District of Tacoma. Have THEIR Orange Chicken instead. It will knock your socks off!

We had great service today for lunch. I believe she was the only waitress working and she handled a lot of tables. We ordered combo dinners for lunch. I had the hot and sour soup and my friend started with the Beef and rice soup. Combo dinner #10, Shrimp Lo-mein, teriyaki Chicken, pot stickers and fried rice. #5 came with Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, spring roll, and rice. We substituted extra Mongolian beef instead of the spring roll. All food was delicious.

Americanized Chinese food. I have eaten here in the past and felt the food was very good but a bit bland. This time I decided to order Thai for lunch. Good but a bit bland for Thai. My mother is vegetarian and said hers was very good. My son ordered the Americanized sweet and sour chicken and loved it. Unlike other places, they have a bar and a cocktail menu which made lunch more enjoyable than weak tea or sodas. Very friendly staff and servers. Beautiful decor. A very comfortable restaurant that is great for sitting back and relaxing, as long as you expect that the food is the blander American style Chinese. I wanted a nice comfortable place for family chatting over lunch and this was perfect for it. There is always a good time and place for comfort food.

The staff there are so friendly and helpful. The service is very fast and food portions are huge and delicious! Also they have such a nice environment with a pretty good bar in the back!

Food (Chicken Low Mein) was decent, they do complementary soups. Service was really great and friendly! As was the atmosphere/environment!

The place is amazingly clean and the waitress was great...we had lunch which included vegetable beef soup. That soup came out of a can! Our entrees came out and looked great but unfortunately there was zero taste ! Had to pay extra for the chili paste! Still did not have any flavor. I requested some garlic powder and I was finally able to eat it but did not enjoy it! Someone needs to take cooking lessons!😳🥺

This was my first time coming here, and it was absolutely delicious! The food was hot and fresh, and the portions were huge!

The food was really delicious. The spicy wings are crunchy and very tasty. The lo mein was very good and so was the Mongolian beef. The pork fried rice was spot on! Will be ordering again. Delivery was also very fast.

Stopped in here for lunch with a friend on our way home from Tacoma... I was not disappointed (only disappointed that I didn't get to eat any of the rice, it had shrimp and I'm allergic) the food was amazing! And there was so much! Our server was very kind and attentive, checking in with us. Will definitely be going back there again!

I am a spice wimp so I can't address that. Service, temperature, portion size, atmosphere all good. Liked the fountain coming in. Parking was easy. Wanted to see whole almonds on chicken and a little more taste variety. Close to 5 star but I'm picky

Really great food! The service is a little sketch, and the crowd in the lounge tends to be of the more mature type. Type. However, if you're willing to overlook the service, and just go for the food, you will be very happy. The food is delicious. The portions are ample.

Wonderful Chinese restaurant! The menu option also includes selective American and Thai food as well. The spring roll is a must with jasmine tea! Excellent customer service!

The food is pretty good, they don't have kung pao! Whaaat? :( Fast and friendly service, the food comes in generous portions. The spice level is not what you would expect hot is mild and mild is so so. Overall a good place!

Giving a 5-star because when everything is sky rocketing in price this place is very affordable and they don't get rid of quality or quantity due to the price it keeps all of that. The food was all very tasty and you definitely get your money's worth I suggest sharing an Entree worked out great for 2. We also had sara as a waitress she was super nice and attentive will definitely come back!

I've had the pleasure of enjoying their "board of fare" and I wasn't disappointed. Then, I tried the lounge in the back: a nice little place, kinda dark and comfy- just the way I like it. Great selection of beer and drinks. It'd be great to get an ice-cold Dos XX, but they have Pacifico, Modelo and Corona. Overall, great ambiance.

Literally, everything is 10 stars about this place. The food quality and portions are absolutely insane for what you pay. Will def be making the trip from Seattle to come back to this place. The service makes you feel like you’ve been coming here for years, but it was only my first time. Definitely recommend.

My friend and I always enjoy our meals at the Emperor's Palace. He loves the Walnut Shrimp, while I tend to choose either a combination plate or the Three Mushrooms with Three Meats. The menu shows that the restaurant offers lunch specials as well as familiar Chinese-American dishes for dinner. Prices are moderate for our current post-pandemic economy, and the restaurant is clean and well managed. I can't speak about the cocktail lounge, but it seems to be popular. Make no mistake: this is not the place if you're looking for authentic Cantonese cuisine. Everything on the menu has been adjusted to American tastes, so you'll find the food familiar and even comforting. The decor is inspiring if you're interested in porcelain art.

Went there with a friend for lunch. Ordered the almond chicken and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was great and will definitely be back for more great food. Check it out you won't be sorry, I know we weren't.

Our server is the same gentleman almost every time we come he is consistently friendly polite and very professional also funny when appropriate. The food is always good and his service puts our experience over the top.

The food was fair. However, the service was sub-par. We ordered 9 entrees (to go) and when we got home we realized they forgot all the rice… The manager was quite nice but only offered a credit towards a future meal but nothing for the inconvenience.

I've had their takeout before and usually like it, but the food really was lack luster. Too much breading on the fried appetizers, way too much breading on the almond chicken... which didn't taste fully cooked (the breading). The crab Rangoons tasted like straight cream cheese, and the "crispy" noodles under the chow mein were a little stale. The pork fried rice was good and had a lot of meat. And I enjoyed the chicken curry soup, though I thought it tasted more like sort of cream of chicken soup. Careful when you drink the tea, it was scalding hot. It's so strange, I used to really like it here, if this is the quality of the food, I don't know when I'll be in the mood for Chinese for a while. Or I will need to look somewhere else.

We had high hopes for this place considering how festive their delivery drivers' vehicles look. Also we saw they had a full bar so we decided to give this place a try. Their interior decor is outdated, but festive. Their drink menu is disappointing - no Chinese cocktails on the menu, cocktails such as a "Scorpion" or "Singapore Sling"; only your basic drinks and beer. The food we ordered was by far the worst Chinese food we've ever eaten. We ordered egg rolls, which tasted worse than frozen, the center of the egg rolls mushy and gross. We ordered sesame chicken, which tasted salty and old. We ordered chow mein noodles which tasted greasy and were just not good. We couldn't finish our meal it was so disgusting. The best thing they served us was the hot tea we ordered and steamed rice that was included in our meal. Our waitress reminded us of someone who worked in a coffee shop. This place is awful.

Their fried rice is unique, but very good. The Mongolian beef was great, medium spicy was pretty tame. Take out was fast and efficient. Fair price for great food.

In short: nothing to write home about. It was good, but far from Chinese, reasonable, but bland. We classified it in the same category as Panda Express. Coming to think about it, the menu has cheeseburgers as well as Pad Thai. That says it all, doesn’t it? So we don’t regret going, but I doubt we’ll go again. The fourth star is for the service. Not the food. Service was good.

Well we have not gone in a little bit so it was cool to go back and the food was better than the last time it didn't taste burnt and i have to say the place looked so beautiful and the place was cleaned excpet one thing it took forever for a server to come and give us our order but it's okay the guy he was so nice he was very nice and kind that's how everybody should be well the food looked better than the last time thanks for making our visit wonderful. service 4/5 food 5/5 inside 5/5

Fast service, friendly staff, very nice lunch deals, very clean interior and food was super yummy! Their lo mein is what makes this restaurant shine. Soup of the day is also very well prepared, fresh, and delicious. Definitely coming back! There is also a small hidden low key bar that is attached to this restaurant not annotated in google maps. Definitely will be trying out that bar as well.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. It has some of the best Sweet & Sour Sauce with a unique array of foods for just about anyone. It is one of the few places to get good wonton soup. They offer dishes you don't always see at other places in the area who carry similar cuisine, but leave room for them to shine too. Always try to get a mix of different options with one of their group options, Just to try them. They have great flavor combinations and sauces. I'm a big fan of the 3 mushroom 3, but they also have a number classic dishes to offer. With great delivery service to just about anywhere in Thurston County. However, nothing is better than dining in at Emperors palace for the ambience, the atmosphere, and the delicious smells.

My husband and I enjoyed dining here in years past so we stopped by on our way home for lunch. The dining area smelled of overpowering disinfectant to the point of questioning my ability to eat inhouse, and the cleanliness of the restaurant as it wasn't a clean scent. It didn't seem to bother my husband so we stayed. Our food was barely warm upon arrival. As we began to eat, a few minutes in, I noticed one of my chopsticks was eaten away and covered with mold and grime, all the way down on one side. When showing this to the waitress she merely said something like "Sorry, I'll check them from now on" and walked away. I was very discussed by the entire experience. I warn of eating here and definitely do not recommend.

This is one of my favorite places to eat! My whole family loves it! We are regulars and the staff always recognizes us! Super clean facility and we never have to wait for a table! They always serve up some delicious food and have never messed up our order. They are on it! Kieran has been our waiter almost every time. He does a great job, very attentive! I’m obsessed with the egg flower soup, sooo yummy! Although, you can’t go wrong with any of their dishes! Everything is delicious!

Great wait staff, the food is to my taste. Never feel rushed. Prices have gone up and the perks have gone away. They used to have cards, after so many meals you would get a free entree or appetizer. Apparently, after the remodel the cards magically disappeared and never came back. The owner should rethink that decision. Just saying!!

Friendly service. Got take out and they were perfect about waiting to cook the order so it would be fresh when I got there. I thought part of the order was missing & called. They were so nice about it and offerd to give me a credit on a future order. I found the "missing" food. They put all the fried items in a large container & what I thought was missing was in there.I let them know I was mistaken. Awesome customer service and great attitude. I appreciate it!!!!

1st time visit. Sat in bar where staff were awesome. Great 70's rock playing in background. The Kraken game on TV. Enjoyed our meals. The combos are a lot of food, which means yummy leftovers. The egg rolls were really good. Not greasy at all!

We had a good time, great service, but if you are a pull tab player, beware, they might stop play on a board after a request to play was done long before...

It is a very clean and well taken care of. I have never seen a cleaner place. I assume they take pride in that. The staff is super friendly and they welcome anyone and everyone. Their food is fairly good. There was a lively crowd that seems like a regular crowd but they do well to cater to everyone equally. Their bar area does not provide anything but drinks and food. The reason is to avoid certain crowds which I understand. Overall a very nice welcoming place

This place was not good at all. The rice wasn't cooked. I got almond chicken. There was no almonds. The chicken was dry. There was a sauce, that you pour over the top but it looked like soup. I had never had almond chicken like this before. . I do not recommend this place. A waste of $35. I threw it all out.
