Ordered a 3 meat combo for pickup at 6:45. Food wasn’t ready until 7:30. Ordered for curbside pickup, they wouldn’t bring it out. They didn’t give me any bbq sauce. This is seriously the smallest amount of food I’ve ever gotten in my life for $29. The couple of burnt end pieces are all fat, no meat. Calling corporate tomorrow for a refund.

The service is good here. The wait time around 6:00 pm isn't bad at all. We got seated right away for a party of 4 but there are lots of open tables and can accommodate large parties. The food was OK. The BBQ chicken pieces looked decent but barely had enough to satisfy my hunger. The burnt ends had a good flavor but it was very tough and not enough to satisfy. The ribs was a good choice, the meat fell off the bone.

These are small portions for the price you're paying this chicken legging thigh the dark meat was very small this is not a good value for your money. There wasn't any barbecue sauce on the meat or even a side of barbecue sauce I'm not sure what your famous for but it seems you guys are famous for breaking my back pocket and giving me a marginal product one and done will never eat here again won't spend a dime here again what a sick joke.

The decline of an icon. It’s so sad went there with my family to enjoy a platter of bbq but didn’t get to enjoy a glass of water. We were seated then forgotten and waited patiently for over 15 minutes with not even one acknowledgement. No drink offer, not even a hello or glance as the staff passed us over 15 times. After waiting, I asked the front desk if I could speak to a manager and was told there wasn’t one. I really hope the franchise owner and corporate sees this review and does something about what’s happening there. Included is a photo of the outside so you can know to just keep going when driving through Tacoma. Update: The apparent owner of this Famous Dave’s posted their information to contact them and I responded back to them and still have not heard anything back from them. I assume they were attempting to diffuse this review. Again they are non responsive to reviews like this. Makes me wonder if the other attempts from the other reviews were faced with this same experience. Still a no go for me and my family to this establishment.

Great service. Super attentive. The restaurant was about 50% full. We got our drinks quick and stayed full during the whole meal. Our meals came out about 15-20 min after placing our order. Which for our family was great. Allowing for us to visit without our mouths full of the good BBQ. My only real complaint was there was no butter for the corn or cornbread, but both were pretty good without it.

I went recently (Mid-December 2022) on a date and ordered rib tips and broccoli. I didn't eat all of it and took the leftovers home. Later realized I was so distracted by talking to my date, there were bugs on multiple pieces of broccoli. I took pics and sent a message through their site and never heard back. I love their food so much and now have to decide if they are worth going back to if I avoid the broccoli. I try not to think about how many bugs I likely ate while at the restaurant 😩

Stopped in 5/28 around 8:30pm. We were seated right near the entry door. Our server was great! Sadly I don't remember her name but she was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. It was pretty empty so we got seated right away. I got a 3 meat combo, my fiance got a pulled chicken sandwich. He was raving about how good his meal was all night. I enjoyed the brisket a lot, it was really good and super tender. I was not a fan of the burnt ends and just didn't eat them. They were pretty tough and a waste of money in my opinion. And the chopped pork was really good as well. Those cornbread muffins were amazing though! We got a half dozen to take home. All in all, it was a good first time at famous Dave's and we'll definitely be returning!

Went for my Birthday. Food was good as always. Ribs were fall off the bone tender. The brisket melted in our mouths. The macaroni & cheese wasn't it's usual mildly spicy, which was a disappointment, but was still good. While not cheap, it was well worth it, and our server was friendly, and even brought me a complimentary ice cream dessert. One of our party has a honey allergy, and our waitress checked on what if anything had honey in it.

My husband and I had never been there, we do enjoy a nice BBQ. Service was really friendly. I absolutely loved the Sweet Tea. Food was yummy. Do wish they would have made the bottom of my bun more crispy, wasn't able to eat w/o it falling apart., had to use my fork and not eat the bun.

There is so much i wanna try on their menu and my next wil be the ribs. Our server welcomed us first timers and introduced us to their new menu. She was sweet I like her accent It was cute. The inside of the restaurant was pretty cool. It smelled really good and very clean. We got there around 5pm and they weren't busy but in time people started comin. I ordered Barbecue chicken, pulled pork that sits on a piece of toast, corn bread and you choose 2 sides. I got the garlic mash and sweet corn along with a margarita of course. The chicken is fall off the bone juicy. You gotta put some butter on the corn bread and oh it tastes even more better. They have 3 bottles of barbecue sauce on the table from spicy to sassy sweet. Tried sassy sweet and wow it worked good with food. I wanna thank my server I forget her name but thank you for checking on us and refilling our water.

We have been hosting retirement workshops at Famous Dave's Tacoma for a few months now and they have been great to work with. The foods great, and our hostess, Gracie has been amazing. I could not ask for better service and attention. Lilly the GM makes sure our events are reserved and the space is ready to go every time. What a great team!!! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Cam

The ribs were good. I come here to get the collard greens with my meal...they no longer serve the collard greens. So I got the Mac and cheese instead. It was nasty. It seemed like it was old and reheated. It has corn(?) In it and it was tough. Very little cheese. Not creamy like you would expect. So I ended up with garlic mash potatoes. Not what I came here for. I won't go back. I feel sorry for the servers. Ours at least, told us that they no longer serve the greens...last two times, we were told that they were out of them. They don't do the business that they used to. And the prices have gone way up. You definitely don't get what you pay for

We have been coming here since it opened. The food continues to be consistently good. Our server Angie was a rockstar! She was covering both the bar section as well as the dining room. Our food was out quickly, and our glasses never empty.

The young receptionist with glasses 🤓 it's very obvious that she doesn't like her job, 🤦🏻‍♂️ 😆, it looks like she hates working here 😄 she is young she has a long way to go, we all been there 🙂 but unfortunately for the restaurant she's the first person you see entering the restaurant and take you to the table… mm not good, (our waitress was very nice and friendly ) she has very good service 👍🏼👍🏼. The food is good but it took like 37 minutes to bring the food after we ordered, I think it's a long time because There were not a lot of people in the restaurant “see the photos”. When the person who brings the food brought us the appetizers she threw the small blue plates on the table for us 👎🏼👎🏼😕 and it looks like someone ripped a piece off a Chicken tender, they look like they are very stressed 🤷🏻‍♂️ oh who knows. We'll see next time we come back to see how it goes. They use to have a very good costumer service. The waitress who served us was very kind and attentive, but the other people need better customer service.

We have hosted several events at the Tacoma Famous Dave’s. Each time we have had Miss Gracie serving us, and she has been nothing short of wonderful…whether she is taking care of us or the guests at our event. She is very personable and adds an invaluable benefit. The food is great as usual, and we enjoy the private dining area.

Had an incredible dinner tonight with the Feast for 2. My husband and I got chicken, ribs, pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese, 2 cornbread muffins, and coleslaw...it was amazing! We used to come a long time ago, but were kind of disappointed by the food...so glad we gave it another chance!! (Pic of our leftovers so you can see how good it was!) Chris C was our bartender and waiter - highly recommend! He made awesome drinks and was attentive without overdoing it. Thanks for such a great date night!

Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que in Tacoma is a true gem! We recently tried their "Feast For 2," and it exceeded our expectations. The selection and flavors were out of this world, and it was more than enough to satisfy our BBQ cravings. What truly stood out, though, were the servers. They were incredibly helpful and friendly, making our dining experience memorable. Their recommendations and attention to detail made us feel right at home. From the delectable barbecue to the outstanding service, we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Famous Dave's has truly set the bar high. We'll be back for more delicious BBQ and warm hospitality!

I hadn't been to a Famous Dave's in a few years, and just sorta stumbled upon this one for lunch. I loved it. The BBQ was delicious, the corn sweet, the corn muffin fresh, I cleaned my plate. The place wasn't crowded on a Wednesday for lunch, service was what one would expect, and I'll definitely be back. Thank you.

Gracie and Travis catered our school event and we're great! They were fast, setup was nice, and communication was great! Food was great and stayed warm throughout our catering event. Everything we needed was provided. They were also great with our students!

First of all venue is super clean. Staff was very friendly. Menu has a great variety of items. Prices are very well priced. For the food. Ribs were seasoned to perfection. 8 of 10. The fried chicken is cooked to order. This is a must 10 out of 10. Their brisket is 9 out of 10. After eating the chicken it was hard to beat. Non alcoholic drinks were on point. A must place to eat if you are in the area.

i ordered mostly everything on the menu just to write a review. The good: Half rack Ribs and Lemon Pie was amazing. the ribs meat fell off the bone flavor was amazing. Pie was wonderful with the ice cream and pecan on top of the pie. Not good: Fried Catfish was little portion but way too salty. wings was over cooked and dry. brisket was dry and salty. over all i give a C.

For someone who likes restaurants this is absolutely insane... The meat what completely not cooked at all... And raw my partner's burger was also still bleeding we asked the waiter to make sure they were well done. Plus the wings where very undercooked and raw they also had liquidy sauce when before it was glazed over them. Absolutely nasty. Hoping this isn't how it always is first time wasn't as bad.

Food was as good as we remember, when we had a FD near where we live. Stuff friendly and welcoming. But my young daughter had the cheese paper divider stuck to the melted cheese in her burger. She had to bites of it with the burger by the time she realized she had swallowed some. The burger was replaced, but took so long that we had all share our food with her and were done waiting to go. No refund was offered. Just not profesional enough for that I guess. Or maybe is their rule. Either way, I think they should at least offer a discount or something, because waiting for a dish replacement ruins the occasion.

First time at Famous Dave's. Since we had never had their food, we ordered the Feast for Two. It came on a garbage can lid (their signature plate) We were not disappointed. If you like a good BBQ this is the place. The ribs were tender and flavorful. My favorite was the chicken. The meal came with beans, Cole slaw, corn on the cob, macaroni and cheese, and a very generous amount of seasoned wedge cut fries. Ultimately, it was too much for us to finish, but we gave it a good try. The server was also our bartender and she made sure that we had what we needed. She was very attentive and pleasant. The meal was on the more expensive side, but comparable to other BBQ restaurants that I have eaten at. Overall it was a great meal experience.

I used to love Famous Dave's. The waitress was great and very attentive but even her fantastic attitude could not make up for the mediocre food. My wife ordered the lunch special with Brisket and collard greens. She reported that the collards were good but the brisket was bland and cut the wrong way (she was a classically trained chef before she went to medical school) and she only wound up eating about half of her lunch. I had BBQ chicken, Rub tips with french fries and Mac and cheese. The French fries were good, the Mac and cheese was rich and creamy with just the right touch of jalapeno. The chicken was not very flavorful but the BBQ sauce helped bring it along and the rib ends were massively overcooked they were so dry that they were hard to cut with a knife. I expected more considering that lunch for 2 ran about $65 with ice tea, tax and a tip. I am very sad about the quality of the food.

I made a reservation via Open Table while the restaurant was closed. I wish I had confirmed it later with a phone call because when I arrived at the restaurant I was informed that their equipment was down and would not be able to find my reservation. Annoying, but not ridiculous. It got worse when staff had nothing to say about rectifying the problem and we were put in line for a table. Turn over was extremely slow and less than half the dining room was being used. We were seated just after an hour and was told that the kitchen was over an hour behind on orders. In order to keep our schedule we were forced to leave. I assume it was a staffing issue because it did not seem like a busy place. All the staff I interacted with were courteous and professional. If I come back, will try at an earlier time, hopefully when it's less busy and will be sure to call in for a reservation.

Haven't been here in awhile long before the remodel. Was excited to get some BBQ, and sadly to say tonight was a major let down. My and my girlfriend split the feast for 2 with a side of Mac and cheese. $4 for 3 bites of cold Mac and cheese started off the domino effect of the meal. The rest of our food was cold almost as if it came right out of the walk in. Brisket was rubbery and bland, while the chopped pork was almost reminiscent of dog kibble. The only thing was worth bringing home was the baked beans yet those were cold as well. Our server was friendly but unattentive, check in with us once before giving us our check. $88 for a final price was exceedingly was too much for the quality and portions of the food we were given. My girlfriend who was excited to dine here left disappointed and sad. I hope this review is taken in consideration and something is done before this location locks its doors for good.
