We tried this place out for the first time the other day for brunch! It you haven't tried the Wagon Wheel, an original on their menu, it's a definite must! It was huge and tastes amazing! I was so hungry and could only finish half. The biscuits were fresh out of the oven and were great! The restaurant has a homey/country feel inside. I'm giving it one less star only because the service was slow. It wasn't busy at all, but it took about 15 minutes to take our drink order (I thought they forgot about us), and then after we ordered our food, it took about 30-45 minutes to come out.

Wow what a great fine! This restaurant boasts chicken fried steak done 11 different ways, so we'll be back at least 10 more times! The cinnamon roll breakfast sandwich is a must try if you like a sweet and savory breakfast.

Too hungry and forgot to take photos of the food before we ate, and I’m so sorry because it was all very very delish! Plenty of parking in the back, lots of seating inside with a fancy farmhouse vibe. Will go back soon and will always leave with a cinnamon roll.

Homestead Restaurant is a family favorite, I have tried many things yet the two tried and true items for myself that I keep going back to are the Eggs Benedict and the HUGE Homemade Cinnamon Rolls!! My daughter loves the grilled cheese its so simple yet so good and her lil menu came with crayons and activities to help keep her busy as we waited for food!!! We love the staff and the like home atmosphere, if your looking for a meal like you got when you went home to visit granny this is the place for you❤

First time there. Delicious food with large portions, if that's your thing ;) had the squatch. Fry bread and gravy were so good

Love 💘 this place. I've been coming here for years. The huge cinnamon rolls got smaller but they are still good. Chicken fried steak 😋 is my favorite.

Food was great and filling. The meat lover omelet hits you with smoking flavor right out the gate with ham, bacon, and sausage inside.

First time at this resturant, experienced the wagon wheel with added scrambled eggs... holy moly was amazing. Will definitely come back for it. Front counter ladies were a little awkward, but maybe they were having a bad day.

I'm always on the look out for GREAT Breakfast places. This place caught my eye with the interesting menu items and inhouse bakery. The staff were nice and happy to chat about the restaurant. The 1st time at new breakfast restaurants I generally will order the country fried steak and rate the restaurant on that. I've been spoiled by some unbeatable country fried steak tho. The country fried steak was ok Gravy above average Waffle was great and smelled super yum, plus came with an interesting bacon jelly/syrup. Ok so the chicken fried steak wasn't my favorite, Don't let this discourage you as the are a bunch of other really interesting menu items, I'll definitely go back and try. It is very rare to find a place that makes stuff from scratch! Add 1 star for the interesting menu and making food from scratch, only restaurants the impress me with the chicken fried steak receive 5 stars. I haven't yet had a chance to try the bakery items, but took a picture anyway. The atmosphere is very county with lots of space. We went mid day and it seemed slow.

Great food for the price but not the best service. It started off good like any other restaurant but after I got my food she never came back to check to see if I needed anything else. I waited for a bit until I was ready to go. Could have been short staffed. Common problem now days

The place was clean(bathroomas well). Nice atmosphere. The name of the restaurant goes with the great ambiance. The food was good. I had the wagon wheel sandwich. It was amazing (sweet and salty). The fried chicken was delicious. The frontier breakfast sandwich was ok. Our server was friendly.

Quaint and cozy country themed restaurant with lots of character. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and on top of things without being too much or too little. I was greeted promptly and never felt forgotten even though it was just me at the table. I ordered the chef salad with grilled chicken and was impressed with the amount of bacon you get as well as how juicy the grilled chicken was. Highly recommend if you're in the area. The menu has a lot of comfort food favorites as well as lighter options for those minding their diets. There is also a special seniors only menu. It was a bit pricier than I was expecting, even with "inflation" however it tasted good so I can overlook that for this occasion. (Chef salad with chicken was $16 or $17)

The restaurant is very clean and has really cute theming. The waiting room is very large, which could mean substantial wait times (it was not crowded when we arrived at 1130a on a Saturday - our wait time was less than 10 mins). Our server was friendly and answered our menu questions. She brought us an entire pot of coffee to the table (I love when restaurants do this actually) and it was pretty good coffee (not great, not terrible). The menu has very nice options and some interesting specialty items. We got The Wagon Wheel and The Mess. Both were very flavorful and the portions were pretty large. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be going back to try more of their specially breakfasts.

So we discovered this place by accident due to me taking a wrong turn (again). The girlfriend saw the big red barn and wanted to check it out so we did just that on Wednesday. We walked in and the girlfriend was immediately delighted with how good it smelled in there. I was quite pleased with how comfy and cozy it felt. Tamara was our waitress and she was fantastic and although she was super busy running to all of her other tables, she was making sure we were set (refills, extra napkins, etc). The prices were super reasonable, the environment was great, the customer service was spot on, the owner (who we later met) was super friendly and the food was fantastic! I like when wrong turns turn out like this. :)

Looking for a new breakfast to go to since we were in Tacoma for the day. Found this place and my husband and I were pleased with our experience. For how busy it was, we were sat within 5 minutes. Coffee was good, which is important for a good breakfast experience. My husband enjoyed his chicken fried steak and my cinnamon roll french toast was to die for; a sweet tooth solver for sure. Can’t wait to go back and try something new, like their chicken and waffles.

Delicious home style Americana. The server Joann was very professional and extremely courteous. The hours are to be noted as they're not open after 6pm so there's been a few times I've shown up to them being closed 😭. This place is totally worth it and I would recommend it to anyone who is craving a full belly. Everything here is good so there's nothing I can recommend in particular, just show up and see for yourself!

Oh. My. Gawd! Chandler. Bing! Is this place to die for?! We decided to eat out after church. I don’t even know how to describe the style of food. Innovative country diner style? So good! It’s greasy spoon meets country cooking meets bakery? Either way it’s a guilty pleasure place. I feel satisfied and honestly a little too full. The prices were decent. The portions were enormous! And everything was good. My oldest kid got a French dip and fries, my husband got the Squatch, my daughter got the kid’s chicken strips and I got the Wagon Wheel! We all shared bites and I honestly loved my husband’s more than mine. Man, that chicken fried steak and gravy! Aaaahhhmaazzing! What really put this place over the top was our server- I think from the South East. She was insanely fast, attentive and genuinely nice. I wish all servers were this good, but we probably just got lucky. The music was nice- Johnny Cash and fun old rock n’ roll. Keep up the amazing work everyone!

The meal was large enough for me to eat leftovers for lunch and dinner too! The cinnamon rolls were the size of an average human head. Our jaws DROPPED when we saw how huge the burger and Jo Jo's were. Good food, great service. 100/100 would go again. Best date ever.

Pretty good. I ordered the eggs benedict. The eggs were a bit overcooked, overall an okay benedict but nothing to rave about. The hashbrowns were FANTASTIC, definitely worth raving about. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, expertly fluffy on the inside, buttery, and flavorful. The establishment was relatively clean and the service was great.

Laid back restaurant, with great service staff. Great waitress, she recommended the veggie mess, which was actually very good. Cozy private booths. I highly recommend this place. It's an excellent little spot to socialize or catch up with a friend.

Had brunch with a large party and the staff were great in accommodating the size and orders. The breakfast menu was varied, which to me is a good thing. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs and many of the other guest enjoyed eggs Benedict. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the portion sizes were incredible. No one left hungry 🙂

Kathy was horrible. Rude. Unresponsive to ANY requests. Eggs Benedict was cold, sauce Luke warm, egg not poached over cooked no yolk, muffin soft and hashbrowns burnt and too hard to chew. The best part was...two bites in I got mouthful of eggshells, Kathy actually saw me spit it into a napkin. She said nothing was worth a response other than "I'll be your cashier" This was the WORST I have gotten from this local favorite. Disheartening.

I totally forgot to take a pic before we started eating!! Food is amazing. Flavorful and filling. Price point is worth it. Food also came out fast when we were totally prepared to wait 40minutes for it! Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Very good spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Their Pot Roast dinner was pretty good. We were not impressed with the chili however, it was very bland. The Coconut Cream Pie was very delicious as well.

The staff were all super friendly & welcoming & The bathrooms were clean. The food was BLAND. We came because of the amazing reviews but the food was literally not even seasoned. The waffles tasted like I was eating a toy…a TOY. I asked for no olives and discovered olives in my omelette. We asked for sausage, they gave us bacon. Also there was a random piece of sausage in my husbands scrambled eggs. The steak was BLAND😩 like salt & pepper didn’t even help…that’s how you know it’s bad. Our waitress wasn’t efficient either. It’s unfortunate but I 10/10 would NOT recommend.

From the moment we walked in, we felt like home and welcomed. Kevin (I believe the owner) was so much fun to talk to and hear how some of the dishes were created. While most places seem afraid to branch out and the items wont sell well, Kevin takes pride in the dishes he creates and is able to share these dishes with others. Kevin also shared some of his beloved ghost pepper sauce with my friend. We ended up splitting The Wagon Wheel and The Squatch, both of which were fantastic. I'm already drooling as I type this and am anxious to return soon. Thanks for the great experience!

If you're looking for a classic American country cafe this is the place for you. Huge servings. The cinnamon rolls are the size of your face. I had the mac and cheese omelette and it was excellent. The staff was very friendly and the food was ready way faster than we expected. Would definitely come back again.
