A more than pathetic experience as an avid restaurant connoisseur, I would never recommend anyone to come here. This establishment brought their ego to work today over a $160 menu priced steak. There was no conversation, it was a very my way or the highway. The story was not listened to thoroughly by the general manager. It was handled in the most unprofessional way. Our waiter as well as the police who arrived agreed with the customer which is the truth but due to protocols nothing could be done differently. The leadership in this restaurant is lackluster, and needs serious change to survive. For those reading we paid for the steak and left it on the table. It’s a huge crumble for the business, that this establishment is going to suffer from. Due to the actions taken by many. It’s a failure to the family, but actions speak louder than words. Tonight the employees selfishly acted out. Please spend your money elsewhere and I highly recommend Cuerno Bravo in Tacoma where we returned to last week and you can get A5 for 25% off, another reason I would of never ordered A5 from The Mill. If I ever go to a restaurant that I don’t feel like the customer, that upsets anyone.

I've heard great things about this restaurant and have been driving by it to and from work for the last 5 years, tonight was the night I finally stopped in! Tuesday night is trivia night at the bar, so we chose not to sit in there but good to know they have trivia! We were seated right away. The menu had a good selection and so many things I wanted to try but the flank steak was calling my name. It was cooked perfectly and the shoe string fries and seasonal veggies were delicious. My husband got the burger and hardly said a word while eating it, it seemed as if he couldn't eat it fast enough. I was pleasantly surprised this place was as good as it was and didn't even realize it's a steak house with many options. It was not what I expected and very glad I went in. It's good to know that there is a good place to eat within 30 minutes of my house to add to my list! Well definitely be back!

Are you looking for a new spot to kick back and enjoy yourself with great ambiance, an eclectic menu for every pallet and signature drinks for an evening out? Look no further, take it from us, we travel and eat out a lot. We found a hidden gem not far from Tacoma in the little town of Milton WA. Called The Mill. The food is exceptional each time we have eaten there- and quite frankly we frequent this spot often. Trust us, it’s worth the drive! BUT five star quality food, the ambiance and an array of drinks, is not what has us coming back for more, it’s quite simply the PEOPLE behind the magic. We have to give HUGE KUDOS to Brandon, Christie, Ray and who can forget Patrick, their intrepid leader and manager. We can’t say enough good things about Brandon; he was our first impression of the Mill. He has always been so welcoming, he’s the reason we came back the second time. He goes above and beyond for us, including one night coming in late, he asked the kitchen to serve us- we kept it simple but the gesture alone was and is a huge selling point and why we are writing this review. Brandon is always ready for our banter and exchange of puns, plus he introduced us to the “Juicy Asian Pear” a Mill specialty concoction created by their own in-house mixologist, Ray! This guy knows how to mix flavors, spirits and elixirs to create one of a kind thirst quenching beverages that have you coming back for more, he definitely knows his way around a bar. Christie, well, she is a doll! This girl knows her customers, she introduced us to the killer Mac and cheese! We highly recommend you try that too. She’s personable and an absolute delight. So, in short, if you are looking for the TRIFECTA- STELLAR service, exceptional food and beverage and a welcoming atmosphere, look no further! Go to the Mill in Milton, tell them Dino and Julia sent you! They will welcome you with a smile.

Their new menu came out and had some appetizers that we just had to try. They were both delicious! The clams were not as flavorful as I was expecting, but they were still good. The bacon onion dip was absolutely delicious and it came with a huge helping of barbecue chips. For our entrees we had our standard steak which like always is amazing. Not pictured. We did try the raspberry lemon crisp and the chocolate peanut butter cake. Both were very delicious.

Worst service I’ve had in 10 years. Steak was also terrible. 7:30 reservation. We were sat pretty quickly and drink orders taken. I asked for waters with our cocktails and she only brought 1 for me. We ordered pretty quickly. Only 2 mains, no apps but planned on a lot of cocktails as it was my last day of a visits. My brother ordered an Ahi burger and I ordered the sirloin medium rare. After about an hour they finally came by to say “the steak is taking longer than expected”. At this point I was finally able to ask for a glass of wine and another water. After another 30 minutes the food came out and the steak was well done. She didn’t even check to see how it was. I had to ask a different server about it. I asked for it to be re-done. Instead our server came out about 5’ later and just said they would take it off the bill. No other option for a new steak. The only positives were the sides. Mixed veg and mashed potatoes were good albeit smaller portions. My brother enjoyed the burger but said it wasn’t all that hot. We will never return. Steak looks more pink in photo due to lighting. It was fully dark and cooked through.

This is a fantastic restaurant. I went on a Tuesday night; the service was amazing and the food was delicious. I had Gnocchi & Sausage Links, which is made with spicy Italian sausage. I’m not a big fan of spiciness, and I’d rate the spice level at 1/5 which was perfect for me. Just a bit of a kick. The steak is also delicious, very well prepared, tasty and tender. They also have a bar area, which sounded a bit loud. I was in the restaurant area but couldn’t hear the bar unless the door opened. I would recommend this place for a date or a nicer night out.

Food is amazing and servers are friendly and welcome! Try the pork/squash quesadilla or the shrimp. The breakfast burrito on Sundays is HUGE and won't disappoint. I highly recommend this place!

Our food was really good, the steaks are tender and the truffle fries were really tasty. the person serving our table made some weird and rude remarks because we asked to keep the cocktail menu so we could keep ordering drinks during dinner. She brought us another menu and said “since you guys like reading menus so much” which was bizarre honestly. The restaurant is extremely dark but the atmosphere was nice for a steakhouse. I don’t know if I’ll end up going again considering the weird behavior of the person serving our table, but otherwise it was a good experience.

First time checking this place out. The place is clean and spacious! The bar is huge. Ordered the pistachio prawns appetizer. Can’t express enough how dreamy delicious these are. Order them! Ordered the gnocchi and sausage. I really really liked my dish. I ate half has the portions are big. Also ordered the seafood pasta. It was just ok. They put waaaaaaaayy too many capers in it and it was tooo salty. They cut have put 1/4 of the amount of capers and that pretty much ruined the dish. The cappuccino ice cream was good. Nothing spectacular about ice cream. It was as good as it should have been. They make a good old fashion. Learning more about how they pride in farm to table is something I really like. I’d go back for sure but the prices are really high. Expect to pay $200 for a dinner for 2. Those prawns though…..

Super friendly staff. Awesome selection of drink, appetizers, steaks, desserts and more. Good ambiance and background music too. Will definitely come back. Wednesdays- they have 50% off bottles for non-premium wine and on/off live music at the bar. I recommend this place.

What a gem we found here! Awesome menu that changes every 3 months. Such great items, made well and tastes amazing and looks fabulous! Two sides to the restaurant, a quiet low key dining area, or the upbeat bar side. I love everything about this place! Can't recommend it enough!

Kristi Has been my server several times… She is absolutely amazing shout put! And in fact I love many of the staff! Rachel Megan & Daylann also! Love this place and The personal touch they add every time I walk in the door. Constantly anticipating mine on my parties needs… Being is that I was a server for 20+ years I think I’m a pretty tough critic and I have to say I give this six stars!!! Thanks Kristi!

I've been to the Mill twice and I'm blown away at how fresh and delicious the fish and chips are. I'm sure any menu item they offer is of high quality. Great friendly staff makes your dining experience something to write about. This is my new go-to-place for great food and spirits.

Food and service are both spectacular. This is also the only other place I want to order something “prime now” as Friday and Saturday nights are highlighted by the best prime rib in the state. Or grab some friends and enjoy the thick cut dirty fries; I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Regretful Trip Down Memory Lane Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ To say my recent experiences at The Mill Steakhouse have been disappointing would be an understatement. This eatery, that was one day buzzing with top-notch service, delightful dishes, and an inviting atmosphere, seems to have taken a bitter turn, leaving a distinct sour taste. A week ago, my family and I revisited for a midday meal, and the service was exceptional. A commendable waiting staff was congenial and attentive, making an effort to engage my two-year-old, which was a delightful touch. The menu recommendations they provided were perceived well, and the inferred satisfaction left content smiles all around. Nonetheless, the night resulted in a distressing bout of illness for my entire family. For a moment, we dismissed it as an unfortunate coincidence, considering we had dined out the previous night as well. In a bid to salvage fond memories and give the venue another chance, we dropped by for our once-favorite Sunday brunch. Alas, the day held a vastly different and unpleasant experience. The waitress who served us had an unsavory attitude and appeared irascibly inconvenienced by any requested interaction. Indifference dripped from her every word as if we had committed some grave error by being there. When i pointed out stains on my silverware roll, she callously dismissed it, saying "it's normal, we always have stains." This complete disregard for basic hygiene was startling and unacceptable. My consequential cuisine, a medium rear New York steak that used to be a flavorful treat, was reduced to an inedible burnt mass. Disheartened, I watched my $80 blissfully circle the drain with this course. To further exacerbate the situation, a repeat of our last visit ensued. Even after spending over $450 for a meal, we all fell sick again, this time with four adults and my toddler. I deeply regret to bid goodbye to what used to be one of my favorite haunts. It is heart-wrenchingly depressing to witness this drastic downgrade. Whether it is a change in management or just an overall decline in standards, The Mill Steakhouse is an alarming disappointment. If I were to take anything from this dispiriting experience, it is simply a confirmation of my resolve - not to return to this establishment anytime soon I caution perspective visitors to take this review into due consideration before making any dining decisions.🥹🥹

I wish inwould have tried this before I moved out of state!!! We were back for a visit...needed a place to stop between Tacoma and Seatac. Came here ...so, so good. Big portions. Friendly and helpful server. If I still lived in WA, I would keep going back. Worth the price.

3.99 rating. Burger 12/10 classy Dinning room. Great service!! Greats vibes. 100% recommend. Please get a barrier between kitchen and dinning room you so don’t feel like you are hanging out in the kitchen and listening to the kitchens music. 5 star luxery dinning until half your view is a kitchen that doesn’t look like it’s suppose to be seen. I’m definitely going back but WHAT I’d CHANGE.. blaring loud music from the bar kills the vibe in the dinning room. Bar music is awesome play it in the dinning area as well so it doesn’t constantly compete nothing more annoying. The soft music you can’t hear anyway over powered by bar and kitchen music. It’s just 3 concerts going on same time same place. It’s the worst when they are running food to the bar, doors connect bar to restaurant and a concert comes screaming through every other minute.

** update, went back for a 2nd time and had the biscuit and gravy with scrambled eggs. DELICIOUS. Bartender and server were on point and the ambiance was perfect for a Sunday brunch.

Our favorite restaurant since moving to the area. Fantastic burgers, great steaks. The prine rib is on point as well. The change the menu "except a few staples" every season. They makes really good pasta too. We have had a few bad meals, but the past few have been great. We go every few months, when ever my parents are in town, specials occasions. It's a bit pricey, or we would go more often. Was also sad to see they stopped taking reservations on the weekends. We tried the brunch, and won't be returning for that.

I freaking love the bar here. I came by for happy hour with a friend and ended up staying to watch a band. The atmosphere is awesome, and the food is really good. The American waygu and truffle fries is my go-to meal here. It's perfectly cooked and melts in your mouth.

I cannot believe I missed eating here for 5 years. I have shopped at Safeway and passed this restaurant every time. I apologize. The food was great. My kids loved it, my wife even did also(hard to please). Thanks for an excellent meal. I will be back. American Waygu Flank steak was fantastic.

The Thai ginger wings are the best I’ve had. The waygu burger was outstanding. And, Kristie, our server, was second to none!! This is the second time we’ve driven 20 minutes to eat here, and it won’t be the last! Highly recommended. Sit in the bar, the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. Thanks for the fun night The Mill!!

This is such a fantastic restaurant. We've been here on a few occasions and the food is always top notch. I will say our favorite item, the Brussel sprouts with truffles, was not on the menu this time but the Prawns are absolutely epic. Worth having them as a meal on their own.
