In the heart of India’s Sikh community, bordering Pakistan you find the state of Punjab. You can experience some of the food in Southern Washington. Despite not having an affinity towards food that leans towards the spicier side, Chutneys brings various spices and flavors that challenges curry enthusiasts alike. The family style own restaurant greets you with a warmth smile. We were lucky to be the first customers there, so our customer service experience felt personal and welcoming. It didn’t take long for our order to arrive and it was one hell of a presentation. The aroma of the various currys made you believe for a minute that you were walking in the streets of Punjab. Of course nothing beats the experience of walking in the streets of northern Punjab and experiencing the culture for yourself. Overall our meals meet the cuisine expectations but could have increase the portion size for the price we paid. I read the other reviews for this place and so far they have been positive. The owner takes the time to read and improve their business based on customer experiences whether be good or bad. So essentially your experience eating here is an improvement from various customers before. Nevertheless Chutney will give you a taste of Punjab. The rest is up to you to see. So if you are in the mood for home style Indian food, Chutneys is the place to go. Definitely give them a chance.

Not impressed. First off I read in another review they used frozen carrots, which is absolutely true, even though the owner tried to deny it. You can easily tell the difference, fresh carrots have a snap all the way up until they turn to mush. While frozen even if nicely cooked have this weird mushy texture. Now aside from the owner lying, the food was just not good, the buttered chicken tasted terrible, the biryani was over seasoned and the mint chutney which I paid 4$ separate for was not even half filled. Naan was too thin, and though it was cooked well, it had a weird after taste. The prices were just as bad as the rest, grossly overpriced for what you pay. There is other Indian restaurants in Vancouver that deserve the price they ask, this one is a scam.

Much better experience this time . They make their chicken tikka masala and lamb korma exactly how I like it. I'm not too fond of their fried items like pakora but, this seems to be the case that most restaurants . The garlic naan t hi is time fresh and hot Good Tika masala and briani. Naan is flat and heavy. Good sevice

First of all they have some of the most beautiful Indian art pieces I've seen in an establishment. I was very impressed with the service as well...I asked for authentic Indian chai which wasn't on the menu and they custom made us some and served it with cute little clay cups. Already going above and beyond before we had even ordered our food. Warning though it gets quite busy, especially when everyone is ordering to go. The next thing we ordered was samosas with mint chutney and emlee chutney... The name of the organization is absolutely applicable as we absolutely fell in love with their dipping chutneys. We also ordered spicy jalapeno naan which was so delicious we couldn't even wait for our main dishes. I ordered chicken khorma and shrimp masala. The dishes were served at the perfect temperature and the spiciness which we were able to choose were applicable to what we both love to eat. I've eaten a lot of Indian food in my life but their chicken khorma and naan and chutney is to die for. Absolutely recommend...might be top 5 for me.

Great treating authentic Indian food and amazing service. They have a wide variety of menu items to choose from for appetizers to entree dishes and desserts. The entree dishes are served with rice and portion sizes are quite good. They also have some Indian grocery items available here although they might be a little on the expensive side compared to regular Indian grocery stores. All in all, it's a great place for some delicious Indian food and the owner provides very courteous service and an enjoyable experience. 10/10 would recommend.

If you’re craving some great Indian food, this is where you should go! Amazing malai kofta and kadai paneer. Would highly recommend going here for a satisfying meal!

The only nice sit down Indian Restaurant in the Vancouver, WA area. The Buddha mural greets you warmly as you enter to a well lit relaxed ambiance. Weekends are so busy, which talks about their good business. The owners are very friendly and warm. They are always adding new items to the menu and now have started their weekend Indian Breakfast menu. They have a wide variety otherwise with tasty food. They have a nice little store next door for some quick pick ups. They are open seven days a week, worth a visit!

I might not have a lot of exp on Indian places but the Korma and Tikka Masala in this restaurant is amazingly delicious! Trust me, if I like it it's because it's really good.

I wish I can give 0 stars. Samosa: the pastry dough was raw and not cooked. Veg pakodas, it was not fried. completely raw batter from inside. Horrible. Inedible. DAAL had 0 taste. This was so disappointing. Really sad.

The staff here it is extremely polite and courteous. You feel very welcomed here and the food is just top-notch. It's like eating homemade food but at a buffet. The restaurant is very clean. I also have to mention that the bathrooms are super clean. But most important Jesse truly wants you to have a wonderful customer experience.

Service was great. Samosas and chicken biriyani was delicious but too spicy for my daughter, it was a big portion too. Lamb jafrezzi was great. Goat curry had a great sauce. The Mango curry was too sweet for my tastes and the butter chicken tasted like it had cheese or yogurt in the sauce, never had it like that. Garlic naan had no flavor. Prices are high for the portions.

This store is the worst in Vancouver. I was new in the city and before Covid I go for buy red chili powder and packet of biscuit they charge me 17 $ just for these 2. I can buy a lot of much more things in this price and the food was not good. I go to Taste of India instead they have better price and very well behaved persons.

We stopped at this place for Dinner on our way back to Seattle from a weekend trip to Portland. The restaurant has a pleasant decor. Service was prompt and courteous. We ordered a few snack items and then some dinner items. Our items were served without a long wait. The servings were big enough and we had to do some take-out. They prepared each items with the right spice level, as we had a few kids in our group. A perfect place for a good Indian Dinner. We'll definitely be back.

This is my new go-to place for Indian food in Vancouver. The food is excellent and exceedingly well spiced. The decor is laid back, basic, and clean, but not ritzy. Service was fast and friendly too.

I just had lunch here and the food was amazing. I love the options of naan and the butter chicken was epic ❤️ it’s hard to find a local India restaurant. Can’t wait to try other dishes.

Best Indian food I have ever had, I have a social media food page and that’s why I went to the restaurant but I didn’t get a chance to try the dishes I was recommended, but the one I tried was amazingly good. The service was impeccable, very friendly people and has a homey atmosphere, im from Africa so I felt like home sitting there eating with my hands. I will be going back for my food social media page. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Indian food/ home atmosphere. They are doing a great job and the chef is an amazing cook.

Our server was so attentive, making sure we always had everything we needed—extra rice, a water pitcher and everything to pack our food including packaged extra rice. The food on top of it is just top tier! Definitely worth a try.

Best local Indian! Consistent, delicious food and super friendly staff. Great for vegetarian options, and they cater to all spice level preferences. We already loved this place. Tonight, we were delivered the wrong order by DoorDash. This wasn't Chutney's fault at all, but they still kept the kitchen open late to make us new food and were incredibly kind, apologetic, and generous. We were already loyal. Now, we are going out of our way to share how wonderful this place is.

This restaurant serves excellent Indian Cuisine at reasonable prices. Their food is very traditionally spicy, so caution should be used in ordering. The very spicy is very hot---to hot for most Washingtonian's tolerances. For those who love spicy, it is terrific. Their service is excellent beyond belief. My spouse received a meal she felt was too spicy. As soon as the server found out, she insisted on replacing the meal inn spite of our protest that it wasn't necessary. She went beyond replacing the dish with a milder one, she blamed herself (she wasn't responsible) and offered additional rice and desert, all without additional charge. One would be hard pressed to find such wonderful service anyplace beyond Costco. If you want an excellent Indian dining experience at a reasonable price and terrific service, this is such a restaurant.

We ordered 3 dishes and the food was absolutely bland and flavorless after having to wait for 30 minutes (I understand that it could be due to less staff). Our expectations were very high considering the reviews and price but it was a complete waste of time and money. The prices were high as compared to other Indian restaraunts around which in fact serve better quality food. V disappointing!
