YMCA wants $90 a month for a single adult now which is completely unrealistic as a gym membership for what you get here. The LA fitness across the way is $35 and even offers towels. The regressive membership fee structure based on age is outdated. They would rather lose paying members altogether than lower membership prices. As someone that only uses the gym at a single location $90 is too high!

Update 2/19/2023 hot tub and saunas open. Women in birkas bathing in pool and hot tubs. I got an ear infection from hot tubs because full birkas street clothing and underwear being washed there in. Similarly have observed men wearing shorts over under pants in hot tub. Nice pre wash? Oddly, 2 LGBTQ and 1 Ukraine flag displayed, but no USA flag? Update 10/17/2022: no direct phone number to call to see if pool areas are open. Also web site has none of this closure info. People take buses to get there only to find out pool area closed with sign at the desk. Have everything you could want in activities and exercise equipment. Close to bus lines, but harder to find parking if you have a car. My lock picked 3 times in men's locker room. Credit card stolen and used. Scum frequent this location. Update 7/13/2021: no masks required if fully vaccinated. Hot tub open. Sauna and steam room still closed. I don't use lockers anymore due to previous thefts. Nice staff! Update 3_1_2022: Still no steam room or sauna. Hot tub open and max capacity is STILL 10, which puts you and your mask inches from the next person. So then why can sauna and steam room not be opened???

Yesterday my baby and I was frustrated and humiliated by one of the pool supervisors… they let us change when we was About to go down to the pool he stopped us by telling me that I had not booked when my 11 month old daughter was already soaking ..I followed all the procedures before arriving at the pool and changing and nobody told me about the reservation ... the people at the reception try to solve the problem and we returned to the pool the same man came to bother me again for a float story I had to leave the center so I felt bad. I cried throughout my way.. my daughter was so excited to see the water but unfortunately the Guy has done everything for us deprived of that .. i thought this kind of center is made for the pleasure and the well being of family and not for frustration.

I’ve been going to this Y since I was 18. And the instructors and staff are so friendly and great to the members. Great group workouts and the equipment too we use. And the swimming pool is so great too.

The most expensive gym around... Pricing themselves out at a place where kids are allowed to sit and text on machines.

I think this ymca is great but they should have and should also clarify a check in line and a line for registration or customer contacts that make take a while especially during busy times. I.e. basketball games/classes. There was two people at the counter and one behind them she had just finished helping someone so she was standing behind the counter not doing anything. I asked her if she could look at my fast pass because my sons game was about to start then one of the other staff interjected that there was only two of them but there were 3 that’s why I asked the staff member who was just standing there. With a fast past they only look at your drivers license and the fast past nothing gets scanned so I’m not sure why the staff member who wasn’t helping anyone at the moment wasn’t able to look at my pass real quick.

I live in Tacoma and pay for a nation wide plan with the YMCA. The computer system at West Seattle was broken and they couldn't scan my fob, so I took out my card. The computer still didn't work so they called my Tacoma branch who told them I was all paid up. Still they didn't let me in. They asked the Tacoma branch to fix the scanning problem. As if a receptionist knew how to fix a computer over the phone. So they decided to issue a one day pass and asked for my DL. I guess she couldn't read because she asked me to input all the information on my DL. I finally left because she started asking for another form and now I was 15 minutes late for the class I wanted to try. Broken computers. Uneducated staff. I will never be back to this customer nightmare.

Review of Kids Corner: Just wanted to say how amazing the caregivers at Kids Corner are. They get 5 stars. Today my 3.5 year old said this to me as we were leaving the Y, "Mommy, I wish we could live at the YMCA." No joke. She loves it there, despite being shy and having a lot of kids around. My 10 mn old has been going there since about 4 months, and they are always so excited to see her when I drop her off. In general, I like the whole YMCA facilities, but thought this review might help some of the parents out there.

We had our daughter's 2nd birthday party here and it was a total hit!!! It was absolutely awesome! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The accommodations were great. The party started in the kids gym with plenty of play equipment and ended in the party room for cake. They setup our decorations for us and it was easy to be ready to greet guests. I also loved the renovations they have done on the building very different from when I was a kid much nicer!

This all-ages, family friendly institution has been my fitness center for more than a decade and will be so for many more.

The remodel is beautiful! The group fitness instructors are amazing (skilled and friendly). My family also loves the family bathrooms right by the pool as well as the handicap accessibility! Excited to take a food/cooking demo soon too.

they purposely locked me and my brother out for being late. Place is disgusting but I made some friends so, its ok I guess. Had no other diet in that place other than popcorn.

Seems pretty chill to me not sure about the locker room and seeing naked men and getting my stuff stolen but there is a family changing area that's private with lockers that no one will touch and in the gym area no one will touch those lockers either. The weight equipment looks all new. The steam room and hot tub is gross.

I've been here for maybe 10 years and it's been the best Y in Seattle area. I drove here twice a day till the bridge failed. The WSY is the best Y I've been to. 😀😎😊. Service is right in front as you enter. It's been kept clean and open " Hot Tub, pool... I'm happy to be part of the membership 😊 Michael McClurg ❤️.
