I have to say, the Lamb Gyro was amazing - the flavors were just perfect. It was definitely the highlight of my meal! However, I did notice one issue. There seemed to be an excessive amount of fruit flies in the seating area near the window. There were various fruit flies walking along the window, and some of them were even dead. It was no fun having to brush them away while enjoying my meal. They even kept flying near us. My recommendation to the restaurant would be to take a closer look at their pest control measures to avoid this in the future. While the food was great, the ambiance was seriously compromised by the problem with fruit flies. It's not something you expect to encounter when dining out, which can definitely impact the overall impression of the restaurant. That being said, I would recommend the restaurant for the Lamb Gyro alone, just be mindful of the fruit flies and choose a different seating area if possible. All in all, it was a good experience!

Came here and got the Falafel Gyro and Shawarma Plate. First of all they didn't serve us tap water, said we had to only buy their bottled water. So we decided to take the food home. When we had our dishes, the Falafel was soggy, the chicken shawarma was very dry and the hummus was remarkably bland. I think they didn't put tahini, lemon or any salt in it. It is as actually kind of impressive how they got it that bland. Finally we thought we could finish the meal on a high note with their baklava, but alas, there was a rock in it. At first we thought it was maybe a seed or stem but low and behold it was an ACTUAL ROCK. We even put it under a hand lense to confirm. :(

I've lived here for about 8 years, and only stopped in to try this place tonight. Service was fine, you order and pay at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Not much in the way of seating, and the interior really isn't the best dining experience. Probably better to get it to go. My partner ordered garlic fries and some dolmades since he wasn't super hungry. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter for myself. He said his sides tasted like they had been sitting out awhile. My food was the same way. It wasn't awful, but the chicken was dry and didn't taste marinated at all. The rice was fine. The side of pickled vegetables was not good. It was just frozen veggies that they pickled themselves, and it was really strong. The pita bread seemed fresh, and was warm and tasty. If I had absolutely nowhere else to get Greek food, I'd go here. There are definitely different options, and if I'm spending money to go out, I'd rather have tastier food.

The food tastes very good and it comes with wonderful service from each of the employees. On the best and the worst of days the ladies of the Gyro shop constantly make you feel warm and welcome with smiles and jokes. The food is amazing with an amazing staff this makes Evergreen Gyros and Cafe one of my favorite spots to eat in town.

Wow!!! Amazing! Great food, great service, and family friendly. This is a quaint business with a big mission to provide amazing service. The owner was present to guide my family through their dietary concerns with respect and generosity. The surrounding businesses should take note in comparing their service. If you want a family friendly dining experience please come here and support this business!

Decent Greek joint in Olympia, but service was lack luster, pricing was higher than better competitors in the area, and food had nothing special. It was decent. Not good or great. While I marked 4 stars, it's a 3-3.5. Maybe ditch the absent stoned kid working the front, and it'd earn the 4, or teach him some customer service tips?

After reading the Bad Reviews, we still ended up going because why not... We get there and Customer Service wasn't bad at all. The Gentleman was friendly, and great with information while we were thinking what to order. We ended up getting the food within 5-7 mins and they brought it to our table. Once we got the food it actually wasnt that far off from Greek food we've tasted in Europe. It was definitely good! Definitely a hole in the wall spot to go for lunch on the weekend type of vibe!

I had a lamb platter and it was delicious. The lamb was tender and the sauce was great. I have a mild allergy to bell peppers so I was a little disappointed with the pickled veggies, except for the bell peppers they were delicious too. Very good hummus, I prefer it a bit more lemony, but that's my taste. I also ordered dolmas and they were delicious too. Service was wonderful. I couldn't ask for better. I have to admit there were a couple of pesky flies. The place was really neat and clean, I assume these were "immigrant" flies. I'll be back!

We have had takeout many time from the Evergreen Cafe and usually get the same items. The fact that we keep coming back is an indicator of how much we have enjoyed the food and the value. Well, today was different. The gyro salad and a gyro were both skimpy on quantity and quality. The lamb was dry and portion was about half of what it used to be. We question whether to return and will try to find another gyro location as much as we used to like this place.

So much meat! It was great. The baklava was small and I didn’t get a straw with my smoothie but the gyros were phenomenal.

Floor and tables were dirty employees nice but eating behind counter and was suttjngnin a chair to take order not busy so didn't warrant the dirtyness we ordered 2 lamb gyros and garlic fries with drinks they had mainly energy drinks and Pepsi fries were soaked in oil and didn't taste like farcical fries to me the gyro had spring mix lettuce and black olives? Weak sauce and weird fake lamb chunks aswell as very high prices so my take on it is to avoid this place till they step it up on a massive scale

I'm not sure why the ratings on this place aren't much higher. I really have never had a better lamb gyro. And it was less than 10 dollars. And I've eaten at dozens of Greek restaurants throughout the western U.S. I love that they use rather chunky pieces of lamb vs shaved pieces. I didn't think I would say this, but damn... it was perfect. Call me an Evergreen Cafe regular customer going forward.

First time visiting this establishment and I was impressed with their food. The salad all was very fresh greens, the lamb meat that they put on it had a lot of flavor and was moist and came in good portions. Everything about the tzatziki sauce and seasonings was on point, overall the dish was super delicious and affordable for approximately $10.

Though their espresso machine was broken it doesn't deter that this place rocks. I had a lamb gyro and my friend had a vegan gyro. By far the best lamb in town and my vegan friend approves as well. I couldn't recommend this place higher.

If you’re expecting an actual chicken kabob, you will be disappointed. It’s not a kabob at all, it’s a chicken patty, like a chicken sausage patty. The chicken gyro was so soggy it fell apart and needed a fork.

Delicious and zesty food! The service was amazing-- had an issue with our order and called them and spoke with a gentleman who sounded like he may be the owner? He was SO helpful and pleasant, and completely fixed the mistake. We would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back for future lunch needs!!! Thank you!

I am going to rate this based on the food, not the accommodations. Had the Lamb Gyros was delicious, full of meat, and sauce no tomato. Garlic fries were hot, crunchy, good flavor. Garlic was not too strong. I would say good overall food, restaurant needs some work.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Bought a lamb gyro for my daughter, beef gyro for my son. I wasn't hungry, so I didn't try anything until after we got home and I took a bite of my son's gyro. It didn't taste good whatsoever, but I figured it may have been because I didn't eat it "fresh" when we first got it at the restaurant. Wrong. My kids both ate it at the restaurant, and a couple of hours later, my daughter began throwing up and continued to throw up throughout the night. Key takeaways: Not only did the food give my child food poisoning, but it was also the worst gyro I've ever tasted in my life. The pita absolutely tastes like the Great Value brand pitas I've had before, not even seasoned or fried to enhance the taste. Spring mix greens inside rather than the usual fresh assortment of medditeranian veggie salad, sauce was weak, and the meat was tasteless. Nothing tasted fresh or "homemade" like it was supposed to. Someone needs to call the health department on this restaurant. When we chose this place to grab a bite for dinner, I merely looked at the 4 out of 5 star rating instead of reading through the reviews. I wish I had because once I went back to read the reviews after my daughter started throwing up, I saw the many reviews stating the same thing about getting sick from their food here. Do not eat here unless you want food poisoning from low quality and tasteless food.

The place is cute for a local food spot. I always order the chicken gyro and it's my favorite. The chicken tastes yummy and the gyro is light but fulfilling. Would recommend if looking for something local and quick.

Ordered to go: Ordered salad with kabobs. Didn't get kabobs... I specifically requested that they do not put chicken shwarma on my salad I was willing to pay extra for the kabobs. Looking at my receipt I did pay extra for the kababs but I did not receive it. Falafel Falafel was raw... Salad was soaked in dressing after I asked for the dressing on the side. Lettuce was wilted. Chicken tastes sour .. When we came into this restaurant the staff member which looked like to be the only staff member that was there came out of the kitchen chewing as if he was eating as if we disturbed him eating. His attitude was poor. Health dept needs to check in with this place We had the same experience in 2022 and I was willing to give them another try now I'm fighting nausea and remembering how nasty it was the first time we went in. Never again

Good customer service but the food could have been better. We ordered chicken Shawarma plates and sandwich. The taste wasn’t like how it is supposed to be. It looks like they are buying the products already made and ready to be cooked instead of starting from scratch. There is nothing wrong with that but it would be a way better and I think it will bring more customers when they have the actual way to make the shawarma/other plates without shortcuts.

I stopped here for a quick bite on a Saturday afternoon having recently loved to the area. I'm a huge fan of mediterranean cuisine having lived overseas for several years in Europe.and the Middle East. I ordered a lamb and beef gyro and was so impressed. The falafel was so fresh. The meat was succulent and the Tzatziki was out of this world. My only regret was that I only ordered one! I have tried other restaurants in the south sound and can honestly say this menu is authentic! They provide genuine middle eastern flavors. This place has a new steady customer. Try this place! It's extremely tasty!

I got the loaded fries with chicken and they were so good!!! A little salty tho, but non the less very good. The girl at the front desk was patient with us and very kind.

Ordered vegan gyro and chicken kabob. Gyro was tasty and good. Can’t say I was impressed with the chicken. As others have pointed out it is more like a patty. The rice was tasty but almost mushy. Hummus was okay and side of veggies were good enough.

Unsmiling, unfriendly service. Maybe because the place is without air conditioning.Hot as hell in there. Unremarkable, rather bland lamb gyro.Nice big chunks of meat but with zero seasoning. If they had a bottle of some type of hot sauce on the table things could have improved. No go on that. Ordered "garlic" fries on the side. Sure didn't taste any garlic. Ordered extra tzatziki sauce. Didn't get that either. 👎

I wish I would have really read through reviews before coming here. We got really sick from the food. Would never recommend anyone eating here. Our food was awful and tasteless. We had the chicken platter. The rice was very undercooked, the chicken was partly cold and had no taste/unseasoned. Our pitas were stale. My mom ordered the chicken gyro and said her chicken was slimy. Later that night I ended up getting really bad food poisoning.
