PHENOMENAL!!!! What a great find on our way back from a trip to tacoma. Shockingly delicious. The flavor combinations of every roll we ordered was thoughtful, elegant, creative and most importantly super tasty!! The service is was quick and so friendly. We were thanked by almost the entire staff as well as the sushi chefs on our way out and we got to thank them back!! They are so gracious and wonderful and I will make a trip back just to eat here again soon!!!

Why is it that a sushi place does not know how to make SUSHI RICE??!! Only in Olympia where there are no competition to sharpen these businesses’ skills can they get away with such…which is sad as this sub par worse than the Chinese buffet sushi quality restaurant is able to charge ridiculous price for their disaster they call sushi… what a shame!! Notice how tiny their Nigiri sushi are as such a cheap tactics to save on sashimi Their nigiri sushi is even worse than the cheap supermarket sushi take out as their sushi chefs are incompetent in making THE BASIC foundation of sushi, which is the sushi rice…oh and their miso soup is but a miso favored warm water… One would think their name driven roll would be of an exemplary taste and quality? WRONG… worse than the supermarket quality again at 400% inflated price. Literally, I can safely say that this place is a sushi honey scam trap for Olympia. Don’t be fooled by their stenciling of sauces and flowers and leaves on the plates, as that’s just a miserable attempt to coverup the lack of quality and skills of their sushi “cooks” and lazy owner’s quality control. THE WORST sushi? Place EVER EVER EVER

Outstanding sushi and service, plus the decore is lovely. So many kinds of rolls! We loved the Black Widow and Las Vegas especially. Edible flowers offered a lovely touch (all the food was beautifully presented). Greatly appreciative of the treatment, plus they're wheelchair friendly & accessible. The restroom is a few a ways, down a long hallway, but also accessible via wheels. They gave us a large table and the family joined-- best restaurant experience we've had in years, hands down. Thank you 😊

This experience was incredible. You can always tell its a good destination if everything tastes good and this place does not disappoint in this regard. The bento boxes are big enough for two but you probably won't want to share because it's so yummy. The sushi is delicious and everything is plated and prepared well. The prices are fair for the quality and quantity of food you receive. If you want sushi get off your Asahi and go to downtown Olympia.

Had a lovely dinner with my lady friend Elaine. Olympia is blessed by having access to beautifully fresh fish, and it most certainly showed in both taste and presentation. Definitely recommended, most certainly will go back.

Having visited in Japan, China, Thailand and Korea, we keep looking for the authentic flavor. Five years in Beijing gave us a taste of China. Tea, hot tea, is served in every single meal in China. Ordering a cup of Jasmine tea was only natural for us to do. It was delicious as it was pretty. My wife ordered a bento box with a selection of tempura veggies, gyozas, fish, chicken, and some sushi. It was plenty and delicious. I ordered tempura sushi and a California roll. Both were outstanding. Neither of us could finish what was served so we too the leftovers to go. I have no issue having lunch leftovers for dinner. The restaurant’s ambience is quiet, contemporary, Japanese to a certain extent. The music that was playing was quiet jazz covers for familiar songs. Not too loud, not too distractive. The server was welcoming, very polite and very efficient. Not overbearing (my personal worst). She was attentive, showed up just on time, with a smile. Great experience. Asahi is crowned with “Our New Local Sushi Place”.

An unexpected gem! Location isn’t in the nicest area, but I absolutely loved it. They were so kind, service was prompt and quick. Efficient and consistent, all the food was served exactly as I expected from the reviews. The whole place reminded me of someone’s grandparents old restaurant and it definitely has the food to make me think that too. Superb!

Absolutely loved my experience at this restaurant! The presentation was on another level – fascinating and Instagram-worthy. Every bite was a burst of freshness, and the overall taste was simply delightful. I consider myself lucky to have tried the uni, and it was a real treat. The unique flavor and texture added a special touch to the meal. The variety and quality of the sushi showcased the chef's skill and dedication to perfection. Can't wait to return for another round of sushi bliss!

So here's the deal... good was fresh, well prepared, tasty and the customer service was fabulous. My beef, is with the music... yes, I know, not major, but in this case it is very relevant. The restaurant plays "top chart hits" but in elevator music format. It was so distracting I honestly could not eat there again with out it being take out- which I would get again. I recommend this place, it was delicious, however the music gave me mental blue screen! Haha

Such a good spot and so glad my friend and I gave it a try. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was delicious. They had so many options to choose from so you’re bound to find a roll that fits your taste. Their house sake was perfect for the cold weather. I highly recommend it. I will say that the spicy sushi wasn’t too spicy, like I was expecting, but the flavor was exactly what I was hoping for and made up for it.

Love the sushi here, especially the nigiri. They have beautiful ingredients and plate presentation. This time we had the hurricane roll and it was amazing!! Ate it too fast to catch a photo. The servers are always helpful and nice. Only complaint is the music that is a little off putting and always the same, but it will not stop me from coming to this sushi gem!

I am never disappointed when I come here. Besides the dishes I tried in the photos I’ve had many different rolls, sashimi, nigiri, udon soup and more. Everything is so fresh and delicious. This has to be one of the best sushi restaurants south of Seattle!

Limited parking, cramped basic atmosphere, bathrooms are super far away through some halls. However, great quality sushi and tea. It was my anniversary and the staff was attentive and very kind. The appetizers of combo tempura and crab Rangoon were delicious with the sauces. We bought about 10 different kinds of sushi and it was all fantastic.

First time coming here and definitely not the last! We’ve been to other sushi locations around here and they are more expensive and the atmosphere/food quality isn’t as good. Definitely a spot to visit often!

Really big fan of this sushi spot! Lots of options on the menu, from teriyaki to raw, and everything we ordered was really enjoyable. Miso soup to start, the 12 piece chef’s choice nigiri, a spicy Cali roll, and their “tempura scallop” roll all are worth reordering. The actual shop is cute, staff was super friendly and very quick to provide service (even on a busy Friday night), and we will plan on coming back.

Clean Lobby and I love to see The Sushi Chef create at the bar. Seated fast and was ordering food within 2 minutes. Beautiful presentation, and the Sushi is Amazing! Highly recommend!!!

Very nice ambiance! Street parking only. Prices range from $7 - $15 for appetizers. Rolls are market priced and begin around $11-$14 and go up from there. They have wine, sake, and beer available. Sake is $11-$15, you do not buy it by the cup. Bathroom is shared with the entire building and is located quite a distance from the actual seating area.

My fiance and I found this place by accident!! Omg!!! This place is AMAZING. My soup had the umami flavour I looove about Japanese cuisine. My fiance had a fried tuna roll and he absolutely melted over it. The server was incredibly kind! I will be returning over and over again!!

I came here hoping for some good sushi and I was not disappointed. I had the Albacore Specialty roll and Beef Bento. They were both tasted amazing, and it was quite filling. The service was really good, the waitress explained menu items well and gave me a to-go cup for my jasmine tea. Overall 10/10 restaurant I will come again.

My family and I have dine in and ordered out numerous times and each time it never disappoints. The baked and seared salmon rolls are my absolute favorite. I've never had a bad sushi experience here, not while dining in or by take out. So delicious!

Beautiful restaurant and great service. I got the salmon bento box, enough to feed two people and everything was absolutely amazing. The tempura was the best tempura I’ve ever had.

We wanted to try a new sushi place and glad we stopped. Wait was all of 2 minutes and looked over the menu. Service with food was great. Always asked if we had plenty of drinks on hand and if would like to order more sushi. Prices were reasonable. Nothing outrageous. I would come back.

This place is amazing. Delicious, super fresh, large portions, nice presentation, friendly efficient service and a pleasant atmosphere. Totally reasonable prices for the quality of the food, as well. We're so lucky to have this place right downtown. Here's a picture of my tea!
