👍 I wanted to love it the way I remember loving the falafels and the lamb schwarma sandwiches I used to get in the Boston area, so exotic and always nice and fatty, decadent, concentrated flavor. The schwarma part on this sandwich is really good, the lavash is too, and it is definitely a filling sand... People often mention sauce, delicious, hummus, good, fries, salt, shawarma, pita, falafel,

This place is easy to find, access, and exit...if you're walking. Finding a parking spot will be your biggest challenge, but there's almost always one within three or four blocks (100-200 yards). Typical lunch / entre price for Olympia at $10-17 per person. The food tasty and filling. Freshness is obvious in taste and appearance. No facilities and handicapped access is typical for downtown. If you found this review to be helpful please consider adding a thumbs up. 👍

I wanted to love it the way I remember loving the falafels and the lamb schwarma sandwiches I used to get in the Boston area, so exotic and always nice and fatty, decadent, concentrated flavor. The schwarma part on this sandwich is really good, the lavash is too, and it is definitely a filling sandwich! Excellent amba sauce, spice without spiceyness. Fun location directly opposite the waterfront. But they went light on the salt + on sauces (which I had been very excited for -- garlic cream sauce!!!) which all ended up at the bottom of the sandwich, so it was a bit dry ... on that point, the sweet potatoes inside are a creative touch I've never seen before, but they dominated ... but I wonder if rice or shredded lettuce instead, would have helped the sauce stick all the way through. Also I really wanted a higher meat-to-filling ratio for that fatty flavor, even if the sandwich has to be smaller. I'll be back when they have baklava again and I'll update this review after I ask for extra sauce :)

Never in my life have I had an undercooked patty this bad. Update....its not rage its a simple fact. Its truth. You should probably check the quality of your food before you send it out and considering you didn't people need to be aware. Don't come at the customer for what you did wrong. Food should NEVER be that undercooked.

I almost didn't rate them a 5. Only because I've had issues with them being open. First time was on a Saturday. The good thing was I found Akashic (Review coming). That aside, I really wanted to eat here. Today I was finally able to. I had a lamb/beef shawarma pita and my wife a chicken pita. They were both amazing. Interesting but good french fries. Key to knowing if they'll be open is to check their website. You have to click an "Order Now" link. Shows the complete menu with pictures. If things say out of stock you'll know they're closed. I ordered online and it was super quick. Our food was ready at the time the website estimated. I recommend heading to this food truck corner.

Got a chicken pita with fries. The chicken was fresh (grilled to order) and generously portioned. The pita was flawlessly constructed, layered with the appropriate veggie and sauce ratios. It was somehow neatly put together but also busting at the seams. The fries were perfect and unique (extra thick + nice and brown). Most importantly, it was all incredibly delicious. Can't wait to come back!

I do believe the cost would be normally lower for two, but we overindulged and I am so thankful we did! I had the chicken shawarma hummus bowl, pita's, pickled vegetables, and all the sauces that you could get from the sides, as well as something else I cannot recall the name of. Make sure to get the sides the mango sauce is spectacular! The best Mediterranean I've had this far in this state. Absolutely delicious!

Im a huge Baklava fan and dropped by to try a piece for dessert. Was close to $5 per piece. I'd gladly pay that for a quality piece that's an average size. Unfortunately, the portion was about 1/4 the size of a slice of bread, can literally finish it in two normal bites. That's 1st strike. 2nd strike is the appearance. It's just covered in plastic wrap like left overs. 3rd strike, and most crucial, it was as hard as a rock! Was so dry the top and bottom come apart because their was zero moisture to hold it all together. Sorry to say but the Baklava was terrible. Wasn't worth 50 cents, let alone $5, I felt gipped. Maybe the foods better, I didn't get to try it but the Baklava left such a bad taste in my mouth I'm not sure I could give them anymore of my money to try there food.

I was super impressed with the depth of flavor and the quality of the ingredients. I will absolutely be back to try more things on the menu. I would highly recommend it to others as well. I ordered online for pickup on location and was an easy process.

Their food is delicious. It’s filling and healthy. We got the shish kebab and the burger ( forgot what it was called). It was delicious. I asked for a small side of hummus but they gave me a bigger container. We also had the fries, pickled veggies and some garlic sauce. The hummus is an awesome dip for the fries and a dressing for the meat and salad. Definitely recommend them.

Olympita might be my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the Olympia area. The pita is always fresh and perfectly cooked, with soft spongy insides and robust enough to hold a lot of food. Their shawarma is amazing, nicely browned and unctuous meat with all the spices. And the hummus…I can’t even begin to explain how refreshing it is to find hummus this good. Perfectly smooth, delicate flavor, not overpowered by any one element. And with shawarma on top: phenomenal. The kebabs are perfectly cooked, with a serious char on the outside but juicy and tender meat on the inside, a hint of spice and a big hit of lemon. It’s also the attention to detail that I love here: the presentation of the hummus, the spices they toss the onions in, and the perfectly diced veggies for the salad. Even the fries are all perfectly fried to golden brown and crisp, a feat that requires a lot of skill and attention. I have yet to try the falafel, but I have high hopes! My one suggestion would be a bit more salt on everything: the flavors speak for themselves, but a bit more salt could kick everything up just a bit more. The high quality of all the ingredients is apparent though; they source the meat locally and the veggies always taste amazing! I can’t wait to come back here and eat more. It’s well worth it!

This was the best shawarma I've had in Washington, we had the chicken wrap and the falafel hummus and the shish kabob. Sooo delicious!

One of the best shawarmas I've had!! You know food is good when the garlic sauce is on point! Loved every bit of it! Ordered the shish kabob as well! Pita was so soft and fresh as well. Hummus and falafel was amazing as well and I don't usually like falafel!

Their food truck is very, very good. A pound of super delicious incredibly hot no ketchup need fries which stay hot forever, large warm no topping needed delicious flat bread pieces for cheap. Fries were $6.00/lb and $4.00/ a half pound. And they specialize in lamb and beef preparations. Guy that works there is great just like the Parkside restaurant it is in the picnic table location of.

This was a very refreshing shopping experience, I really enjoyed the atmosphere that people were very friendly the prices were fair and I will definitely return and though I don't make many recommendations on this form this place is highly recommended by me and others who shop their regularly

This place could put ten times the amount of salt on their food and it still wouldn't be enough. They also charge for sauces that should just come with their food. In fact the pictures of the Olympita chips has suace on it but mine came with none. The ingredients and the way it was cooked seemed fine. Without enough salt or seasoning it's inedible. If you want to give it a test make sure to have a salt shaker nearby.

Don’t sleep on Olympita! I regret not trying them sooner. I got the falafel wrap and it was sooo good. I’ve been craving it ever since I tried it. I will happily come here again and order 10 more haha. Definitely the best falafel wrap I’ve ever had 👌🏼

My husband and I are trying to branch out and try new foods, and we both had never had Mediterranean food before. I am so glad we tried this place! We shared the Chicken Pita and the Beef/lamb Shawarma taco. The ingredients were so fresh and the flavors were delicious! The owners were also very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

While looking at the menu and trying to make a decision, the proprietor began chatting with me. He has so much care and passion for his food including the ingredients and process. It was awe inspiring! I decided on a hummus bowl with shawarma. While waiting on that I tried a baklava. Wow! It was delicate and delicious! Once I got my food, I was asked if I wanted got sauce, which I definitely did. The whole meal was delicately wonderful. Subtle flavors dancing around. The hot sauce was so good! Definitely going back when I can!
