I loved visiting the Cider Barrel! This shop has so many different ciders from dry to tart to sweet! A flight of 6 samples is $10! My favorites were the vanilla bean cider along with a blackberry pear. The build your own 6 pack was $15 for 6 cans. This shop is also very clean. There was nothing sticky and there were even purse hooks on the wall! Definitely recommend stopping it!

Discovered this hidden gem a few months ago and finally had time to come back! Brought a bunch of friends for their first time and the owner/bar tender was gracious enough to let us stop in and stay as I believe it was close to closing time! There are tons of cider options here! My friend and I shared a 6 flight taster and we were offered a few bonus tastes as well. Thank you!

This place is great! Huge selection of ciders to choose from and you can do samplers of all of them. We got a couple suggestion samples thrown in by the guy at the counter that threw our ranking system off because we had written them off, but they turned out delicious! They also sell mix and match six packs so you can try ciders you’re intrigued by but not willing to fully commit to. If I lived in Olympia I would be here regularly!

Finally stopped in this evening and I’m so glad I did. Met Troy, super awesome guy and he’s really friendly and very helpful! I’m glad I skipped the DoorDash and headed downtown. I definitely recommend y’all trek on down yourselves. So many ciders and Troy is very knowledgeable. Stop in, get all the ciders!!

This was a lovely cider shop, we had four people who ordered different flights and Morgan worked with all of us to help pick great choices. The place had a great vibe and amazing selection, will definitely be back!

I love cider, I was super excited to see this place open again as I wanted to try it for ages and heard good things. Saw that it was finally open and went in, had no idea how it worked and was trying to ask question so I could get a few things to take home and the owner just started ignoring me mid sentence to have a conversation with someone who has just come in. Felt overwhelmingly alienated. I very much dislike being mistreated and will not be giving this place business in the future.

The Cider Barrel is such a rare gem! It's an enjoyable place every time we go in and there's a number of reasons the people inside are always smiling or laughing! The owner and staff are really good to people on the regular, and go out of their way to make sure everyone's having a great time! And brainstorming news ways to make this happen! Whether it's playing games with your buddies over a cider, one of their many fun crafts nights, or you wanna cozy up with a book and a unique cider and enjoyable company! It can be found here! I can't recommend them enough! See for yourself and talk to other patrons, I imagine you could find a consensus on this!

I started going to the Cider Barrel sometime last fall. A friend and I usually go to the Gig Harbor Cider Swig every year to try new stuff but of course it was canceled due to pandemic. So we went to this place and totally stocked up, each buying a variety and then tasting in my backyard, from a distance (see pic). The place is super cute (love the barn doors), the owner super friendly (and he challenges me to try new stuff plus I challenge him to find stuff I haven’t tried). I look forward to future events there and when stuff is more normal so I can hang out and drink on tap. (Not only does he deliver but he is open to working out special pick up times; much appreciated).

This is my all time favorite spot in Olympia. Every time I’ve been in, the ciders have been AMAZING, and Troy has been more than generous and helpful. The flights are an amazing deal and so fun to try. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Fantastic place to go try some cider. Troy was super nice and very easy to talk to. Helpful with finding what you want and has great stories while you try the ciders. We happened upon this place on the way to a different bar and stayed here instead. 10/10

Stopped in while just walking around downtown. Love cider and they have such a wide variety as well as the owner had excellent suggestions. Vibe and aesthetic are chill and got to go home with a great selection of ciders. Will definitely be going back.

My hunny and I stopped in to the Cider Barrel today and had a great experience! We tried 6 delicious ciders and went home with 6 more ☺️ The cider tender was awesome and very personable and knowledgeable about the products and there is tons of cider to choose from. If you're in the area, definitely stop by for a flight because they have something for everyone!

Great service and great selection! We had a flight of 6 different ciders for $10- that's a steal. There is a long list of options for the flight so you don't feel limited, and our server gave us 2 extra tasters just because. I definitely enjoyed my visit and would recommend it.

Don't miss this great little spot with ALL THE CIDERS. There is something for everyone, even if you're not really into ciders. The owner is usually there and is so awesomely helpful, pick a flight and he'll ask what you did and didn't like, then give you more tastes of other ciders that will fit your tastes. We love coming out before heading to dinner downtown.

I visited this bar on a trip from Austin, Texas, and this is one of the few - perhaps only - bars dedicated entirely to cider that I've ever heard of or been to. There is a casual and friendly atmosphere here, and it's obvious that the place is run with love. You'll find a rotating cast of ciders on the menu, and unless you have something specifically in mind you're likely to find yourself trying a flight or two so you can experience some - less than half, certainly! - of the huge variety of ciders on offer. Maybe you're already a fan of cider, or maybe you're a beer drinker looking for something different, sweeter, or just local; you'll find it here.

A great place to meet up with friends or just to grab some cider to take home. Tasting flights are a great way to find things you like, and a fun conversation starter with friends. He has such a wide variety of ciders for tasting everyone (even non-cider drinkers) will find something they like. If you’re a cider fan and want to try things from all over the country (and world) you can find all kinds of unique ciders in all kinds of styles. Definitely a must-stop place if you’re in the Olympia area.

👍👍 Great local ciders, super cozy and cute setting with really friendly local service. The cider selection was fantastic and the tasting was good value.
