just moved to Olympia and so happy to find the Owl’s Nest. Best pastries (vegan too!!) and amazing coffee with a really nice vibe. I have already visited three times in two weeks cause it’s just my favorite. The drink specials are fun also- last weeks was lavender latte (oat milk for me) and this weeks cardamom vanilla. So good. Grateful for this lil coffee shop in the heart of Olympia. —— Updating my review because google won’t let me leave another 5 star review. A year later and this remains our favorite local coffee shop! They continue to have delicious drink specials and their new lunch/breakfast menu is SO good and love that it’s all vegan. The owners mom (I think name is Diane) is so sweet and welcoming and made us the best pumpkin spice latte and London fog today and just had the best vibes. Thanks Owls Nest for creating such a cozy and delicious atmosphere- a sweet little place to get a treat after a hard week at work.

We got the Tempeh Reuben and Oly Salad here for a take out order. The salad was incredible…very hearty and the garlic sauce was tasted. The Reuben was also very good..the onions did over power the taste a bit and I wish the bread was softer but still enjoyed it a lot

What a great experience! The owner is super friendly, her new shop is beautiful and it’s nice to have a vegan establishment in town. Coffee and pastries were great. My favorite is the maple pecan sconce.

If you are just visiting or passing through Olympia and have only one chance to visit this place, make sure to order everything on the menu and take them with you. Else you will regret later. We went there for the first time yesterday and were really blown away. We had a couple of varieties of scones, a quiche and a latte. The texture, flavors, portion size everything was perfect.

This is a cute little coffee shop in downtown Olympia. The drinks are great here and the pastries as well. Terrific service - the baristas are so friendly.

First time at The Owls Nest and I was not disappointed. I got the buttermilk biscuit and jam as well as a strawberry shortcake scone (around $11 total with tip). Both were very tasty. If I could afford it I’d eat there every day! They had a lunch menu on their door that I was unaware of or I would have ordered lunch from there. No worries, another day! (I only looked at the menus online and on reviews to see what they had before deciding to go.) The staff was welcoming and washed their hands before helping me. Space inside for customers is cozy & small. Mugs, granola and other treasures for sale too:) all plantbased!!!

I love The Owl's Nest!! Especially great spot if you need a place to grab coffee off the road driving I-5, only a 2 minute detour! Some seriously amazing pastries. The maple pecan scone shown in the picture. The coffee is so good and the owner is such a delight. Can't wait to come again!

Small but delicious selection of vegan and gluten-free treats, flavorful lattes. Husband loved the biscuits with vegan miso-mushroom gravy--gone so fast I didn't get a pic. Books on the shelf to read while you snack, mellow music, small selection of a few gift items (mugs, earrings).

A great selection of fresh baked sweets and savories. The chocolate chip tahini cookie was especially delicious. The staff is friendly and eager to share what is hot out of the oven, and the cafe itself has a nice local ambience.

I love this place, everything about it is fabulous! The scones are seriously the best I've EVER had! I can't believe all the baked goods are vegan, and some are gluten free too, it's impressive. Everyone needs to know about this gem. Thank you, Owl's Nest, for all the deliciousness <3 I can't wait to come back!

This place is beautiful! You can tell it was designed with a lot of love - it is so welcoming inside and the vibes are great. The owner, Shelby, is such a delight. The scones are to die for, and the biscuits are top notch. You won’t be disappointed. Grab a lavender latte and stay a while! I’m so happy this place is downtown. :)

Exceptionally fresh scones, cookies, and other pastries with wonderful service. I've been coming to Owl's Nest for a year. You won't find a coffee shop with fresher baked goods or such consistently good service.

Cozy vegan cafe. I love the carrot cake muffins. The baking is a delight. I've had bad vegan baking, and this makes me believe good options do exist. Also got this vegetable sandwich, which was tasty. Portions are on the smaller side. The wait wasn't long for lunch. Not a spacious establishment so best for groups of 2-3 max. Kids welcome. Parking on the street is pretty easy to find.

I absolutely love this place. I have buisnesa downtown every Thursday and I used to go to dancing goats coffee and then I discovered this place with a friend and I haven’t looked back! The atmosphere is so homey and friendly. They have local art on display and for sale which is so cool! I always get a pastry as a treat to myself. The best thing about the treats is that they are all homemade. Think going to your grandmas house after a long day that’s the feelings I get when coming here. I used to dread Thursdays and now I look forward to them because I get to come here! 10/10 would recommend (:

It’s a lovely little shop. Alas I am not a vegan. I need my salt and cheese and butter in my scone so my expectations were different. Loved the sweet little china dishes, friendly staff and fresh tomatoes in my scone, but for me (see above) it lacked the flavor my southern girl roots expects in a scone. That’s said, please support this place. A little pricey $5+ for a scone without tip, but hey everything is $ these days. Will try again - the mushroom cocoa intrigued me!

Amazing and delicious plant-based pastries! My favorite has to be the gluten-free carrot cake muffin. It's so moist and filling! The walnuts add the perfect crunch! I highly recommend this place for fellow vegans looking for a relaxing morning. The owner is absolutely wonderful. You need to meet her!

Best coffee house in town, with the friendliest staff. The owners have created an inclusive atmosphere and a real sense of community. Finally a coffee shop in which the default milk is plant-based. The house-made pastries are vegan as well and are AMAZING. They recently started serving salads and sandwiches which are also delicious!! Can’t say enough about this gem of a spot.

Stopped by for the first time today and tried their cold brew which was super smooth and had a chocolatey, nutty flavor that set it apart from others in town. They had oat milk available alongside their creamer, which was very much appreciated and something I wish other places offered. Conveniently located just a few blocks from the farmers market with a lovely aesthetic inside and friendly service.

Such a huge fan! I am not vegan, but I do love food, and oh boy is there food great! Great taste, great quality, and and just delicious. Do not skip a beat and come here for a morning pastry and coffee. You won’t regret it. The owner and employees are the absolute sweetest. I’m just so happy! Thank you for sharing your love of food with us Shelby!

We were visiting Olympia for a few days and stopped in here on our way out. Such a lovely place! Great service and atmosphere. We got the Rueben, maple pecan scone, peppermint chocolate cookie, mushroom cocoa and breakfast sandwich. All SO delicious! I would definitely frequent here as often as I could if I lived in Olympia!

I visited Owl’s Nest this morning, they have the most delicious gluten free treats and coffee! We had the Lavender Latte both iced and hot and it was so good either way! We chatted with the staff and they were so lovely and welcoming. I’m so excited to come back and try more of their treats and coffee.

Great little shop! Super friendly staff and to die for drinks and pastries! You can tell how much thought and care went into getting the best ingredients. Everything is vegan (your non-vegan friends will never know...delish!) They even have gluten free options as well. Best part is NEVER any up-charge for non dairy milks! Stop by and treat yo self!
