Last
week
I
was
in
the
Olympia,
WA
store
and
picked
up
a
bunch
of
yarn.
Some
of
what
I
purchased
was
4
skeins
of
Red
heart
super
saver
stripes,
polo
color.
The
next
day
I
found
a
pattern
I
wanted
to
use
but
I
needed
6
more
skeins.
I
ordered
them
curbside
pickup.
All
was
good.....I
thought.
I
work
my
way
through
they
first
4
original
skeins
and
start
to
use
one
of
the
skeins
I
ordered.
The
colors
are
similar
but
the
shades
are
way
off.
The
first
ones
I
bought
were
bright
vibrant
colors.
The
ones
I
later
picked
up
were
more
dull
and
not
vibrant
at
all.
The
labels
were
even
slightly
different.
The
original
ones
had
the
word
"stripes"
in
red
lettering
under
the
words
super
saver.
The
additional
ones
I
ordered
did
not
have
the
word
"stripes"
on
it.
Well,
shoot,
I
thought.
They
gave
me
the
wrong
yarn.
I
decided
to
keep
them
instead
of
return
them
because
I
had
gotten
them
on
sale
and
I'm
sure
I
could
find
a
good
use
for
them
at
some
point.
So,
I
ordered
6
more
for
pickup
thinking
they
had
just
gotten
it
wrong
in
the
first
order.
When
i
pickup
the
second
order
I
get
3
of
the
original
colors
and
3
of
the"wrong"
colored.
Upon
further
inspection,
yes,
the
labels
look
different
but
maybe
it's
a
different
eye
lot.
So,
I
go
inside
and
search
for
the
yarn
myself.
I
find
one
of
them
in
the
vibrant
color.
So,
I
go
to
customer
service
and
explain
the
situation.
The
gal
goes
and
looks
for
more.
She
comes
back
with
3
of
the
dull
colored
yarns
and
explains
they
are
the
same
product.
Maybe
the
brighter
color
is
being
discontinued.
Disappointed,
I
figure
I'll
look
at
another
store
for
the
right
ones
but
I'll
purchase
the
one
that
I
had
found
that
was
correct.
I
asked
her
to
honor
the
20%
off
that
I
had
received
when
I
placed
my
order
online.
She
said
if
I
wanted
to
return
the
3
dull
colored
ones
she
would
give
me
the
20%
off.
I
explained
that
I
had
6
more
at
home
that
I
had
kept
and
with
the
additional
3
I
had
enough
to
complete
a
blanket
pattern
so
I
thought
I
would
keep
them
(as
I
had
figured
out
in
this
situation
the
dye
lots
can
vary
greatly.
)
She
absolutely
refused.
I
asked
for
the
manager.
She
said
she
was
the
manager
lol.
I
ended
up
paying
without
the
discount
(we're
talking
70
cents)
and
left
with
a
bad
taste
in
my
mouth.
I
am
definitely
not
trying
to
be
a
Karen.
After
all,
it's
just
70
cents.
But
it's
the
principal
of
the
matter
and
unwillingness
to
help
compromise
the
situation.
On
my
way
to
Joanne's
I
pass
a
Hobby
Lobby,
Michael's,
and
at
least
two
locally
owned
yarn
stores.
I
have
not
yet
looked
into
the
locally
owned
stores
but
I
feel
the
customer
service
at
Hobby
Lobby
and
Michael's
has
been
much
more
accommodating.
I
frequent
these
stores
regularly
as
I
do
many
other
crafts
such
as
epoxy
tumblers,
paper
crafts,
custom
t-shirts,
glass
etching
and
more.
I
just
recently
decided
to
pick
up
crocheting
too.
