The hotel staff was great! The room…initially when we checked in it was great. We even had a kitchen which was great for being able to cook food, which we brought. Plenty of room and seemed to be clean. However, the room was not that clean, we started to see cockroaches in the bathroom and the kitchen. We couldn’t understand where they were coming from, so we decided to move the couches. Low and behold there was tons of food and garbage under both couches, the entertainment shelf the TV was on, next to the fridge as well as in the pull out beds. Clearly the housekeeping was only doing the surface cleaning not detail cleaning. We would have requested a new room, but there were none available, also would have gotten a new hotel but there was nothing available anywhere in the area or in the surrounding area. Everything was booked or astronomically expensive. So we really had no other option but to stay. I have stayed at other OYO’s and never experienced bugs or dirt so I was disappointed.

i picked this place because it is close to my job. so many issues: 100$ hold on incidentals on top of my full payment but was not told until check-in, my "suite" smelled like an ashtray, the room and everything in it was beyond outdated, the pictures online are not the actual building, the pictures of the rooms are not the actual rooms, no hot-tub as advertised, no customer service or hospitality skills from anyone, the window of my first floor room was hanging partly off track, after i had checked out and was driving home they called me and asked if i would book another stay with them right then on the phone. i had to laugh. this is a just a taste of my stay. if it wasn't paid for by work, i would have asked for a refund and left to sleep elsewhere. i will be back to Olympia and stay in hotels, in fact i am in a different (nice) hotel in Olympia right now, but you could not pay me to stay in this "hotel" ever again.

The pictures online are very deceiving. The inside and outside of the hotel look like the building is falling apart. The room was okay in terms of cleanliness but not super clean. The staff was decent but not overly friendly. Online advertises a pool, hot tub and breakfast which had none of the above. The hotel smelled of smoke and the people next door to me were smoking in the their room which caused my bathroom to reek of smoke. Several lights in my room along with outlets were not working. I also saw zero housekeeping staff the whole time I was there. Upon arrival I was asked for a $100 deposit which is no where in any disclosure. I took pictures to ensure I am not charged for any deposit. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will not stay here again.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. When I called and CONFIRMED it was a pet friendly hotel and told them we had 3 cats, they assured me it was okay. I called TWICE. Once for the initial booking and again to ask about early check-in. As my husband was checking in at the front desk a lady (Shara) behind the desk jumped in and said they don't allow cats and cancelled our reservation. AFTER charging our credit card. So now we're scrambling for a place to stay with 3 cats and an 8 month old baby. Thanks OYO and "Shara" 👎 Also, it was super comforting to see 3 police cars out front because someone was getting evicted 🙄

SAVE YOUR MONEY & TIME and stay someplace else. We stayed here along our PNW road trip. This was our 7th hotel and most disappointing. Really just looking for basic needs but this room was not prepared for us—no pillowcases. A cleaning lady walked in our room without notice after we checked in, luckily our dog freaked out and started barking. I’m pretty sure this hotel had people living there as every single time I went out the side door to the car, I saw the same people smoking less than 5 feet from the door (illegal according to your rules) or hanging out by their cars giving me a stare down. I was even followed into main lobby by one of the guys even after saying my dog isn’t friendly, and this guy was NOT originally going into the lobby. Some front desk lady came running after me outside randomly asking if I talked to her earlier, nope never did. My point is that I felt uncomfortable here. Many rooms had cardboard taped up along the windows near main lobby, pool wasn’t open and rooms didn’t feel clean. The hotel is deceiving from the pics and even though it’s secluded and quiet, it’s not worth it even if it’s only $130/night.

Well we’re do I start lol. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. We booked online the price was 115.00 but got to desk to check in and they said 180 something I let the lady at the desk now she fixed it. So we get to the room and it’s dirty there’s hair in the shower, yellow stuff on the towels. Stains on the floor didn’t even want to know. Our screen wasn’t even attached but the room smelled so bad we had to leave the window open. The place seems more of a recovery place then a hotel. There was a lot of residents living there witch is fine I get it. The lady that checked us out said oh you didn’t pay the deposit I told her you can go check the room we didn’t do any damage I mean the room was gross and dirty she kinda laughed and said we should have paid you to stay here.

My husband and I were so disappointed in this hotel! We read a review on it that said that this hotel had done a major renovation so we thought it might be nice. But that was not the case! We booked a non-smoking room and the room reaked of smoke so we asked for a different room that didn't smell like smoke and the night clerk was very helpful (one of the only good things about the hotel) and got us a better room. The room had wholes in the walls, paint peeling off the walls, the room smelled musty but better then smoke, the towels didn't feel soft and they didn't smell clean, the whole place was just trashy. There were no renovations done to this place as far as we could tell and the whole place was in a disarray!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PLACE!!!!

I stayed a week here recently for work and I have to say I am not impressed. Even being that it is on the lower end pricing this place was very run down. The elevator sounds like it's on its last leg, My bathroom door did not shut which was pretty frustrating. The carpet had stains and burns. The towels were old and stained and so was the bedding. The lighting in the room made the stay even more depressing than having to be in that hotel away from home already made me. To make it worse the entire time I was there I saw no housekeeping. I would have asked but there were constantly shady people hanging around inside and out of the hotel a lot of which asking for the wifi password. The path leading out of the parking lot was also littered with garbage. I basically felt it neccisary to just get there in the evening once I was off work and head straight to my room and lock myself in . Do not stay here unless you have absolutely no other option

We will NEVER AGAIN stay at this location. The front desk check in ladies were high on some sort of drug and drinkin wine. They acted suspicious and kept going into 2 rooms with different men throughout the night. People were dealing drugs all over in the parking lot and out of rooms. ALL the amentities were broken or not in service such as the breakfast. The TV did not work the entire time we stayed because they told us "they didnt pay the bill". The guest all live there and are sketchy, loud, drug dealers. They dogs were very loud eventhough there are signs all over stating NO DOGS. The whole place smellf of weed and cigarette smoke. We only got 2hrs of sleep the whole night. Our car was prowled, luckily they couldn't get into it. I would not tell anyone to stay here ever. I wish I could get a refund it was so bad.

A pleasant and warm hotel nestled in a peaceful and quite wooded area. The staff is kind and attentive, and the price is perfect. If you should find a lower price offered for stays online, the front desk will match any advertised price. Additionally you will be saving them up to 30% on recovered revenue. As of my last visit they also offer Smoking 🚬 and 🚭 Non-Smoking rooms/suites. Accomodations are spacious and well appointed with mini-fridge, microwave and coffee makers. For additional sleepers, I like that in the King Suite, the couch was a fold-out sofa bed, in its own partitioned space, converting back to a living room.

Room was clean, decor a bit dated but that was ok, bed was comfortable, quiet in hotel, price was certainly reasonable. Easy to get anywhere in Olympia close to freeway. Desk people very helpful.

Booked for seven nights, checked out in less than 24 hrs. Staff and management appeared frustrated and helpless in regards to the operation, safety and upkeep of the facility. OYO operated facilities are absolute garbage, you'd be safer and have better accommodations at a homeless encampment under an overpass.

I give this place a Negative star! I was supposed to get a refund because "The queen rooms TVs where not working " which never happened. The front desk people some where nice some where rude and had no customer service. The TV & AC did not work. Our room was never cleaned we stayed for 4 days not one clean Towle was given to us. I had my one year daughter with us and she had to share a Towle with us because they only have us 1 and 3 hand towels. Would not recommend this place to anyone. My "refund" that was also supposed to come was over a month ago!

My husband and I had been on the road for over 30 hours, and I wanted to get a room, and just relax after a super long drive!! I was beyond ready for that jacuzzi!! We arrived at the hotel, i myself go in and the guy at the front desk was just totally disrespectful out of nowhere. I was not aware of the $100 security deposit either. I put it aside bc I was running low on sleep, and just wanted to get to the room. My husband and I booked the premium king room with jetted tub. We get in the room, and notice that the jacuzzi wasn’t wanting to work, there was trash, and bottles of soda behind the tables, the bathroom sink stopper was broke, so my husband goes to grab it out of the sink and here is a CHUNK of hair just plugging up the sink. I paid a lot of money for that room just to have that jacuzzi. And doesn’t even work. My husband goes to the front and they can’t put us anywhere else bc there were no rooms available, which I understand. We go to check out next morning and the lady and the front desk, puts in her notes that we receive for a partial refund. I was okay with that, sense we did end up staying the night. It’s been almost a week sense and I’ve tried calling and talking with someone but they are not wanting to work out a resolution what so ever. Not to mention the hotel posted in the picture is not it. There is no pool, no hot tub, no breakfast, and a ton of homeless people surrounding the building!!!!!

Charged us $200 for some "Stained" towels and bed sheets. We didn't even have anything on the bed to stain it and the towels that we used were not stained. I even brought 2 of my own towels from home to use. There were 6 key cards made for our room and we only had 2 of them made. People come in and out of the hotel doing drug deals nightly. And the guy that works the desk at night was almost never behind the desk. Mostly saw him outside or nowhere to be found.

Payed $100 to stay here for the night, upon arrival I found that the entrances were closed off so I got out of my car and went to the front to be informed by whoever it was there, that the hotel has been closed for 3 months!!!!! They then told me o couldn’t be refunded because it was “past cancellation”! WTH!!?? Because of the neglect to not allow booking and the neglect of customer service, I had to sleep in my car on the side of the road because I then didn’t have the money for another hotel. So disappointed.

I left three stars because they had a microwave and fridge/freezer which was great but the décor and facilities are very dated. I saw that they were renovating so maybe this will improve. The bed was very comfortable and big so no complaints on that!

  • 5/5 Kimberly H. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel itself has some room for improvement, which they are actively working on. The construction wasn’t great to look at but the noise really wasn’t overwhelming and the construction site is clean. We stayed in 2 different jacuzzi rooms during our time here and spent a total of 4 nights. We had a minor issue with our room which management quickly resolved. All the staff were amazing. Rooms are older, cable is basic. Nothing fancy but a great tucked away space for a short stay.

The place is falling apart. In the rooms there is barely anything that works including the remote for the tv. Also the coffee maker has very limited use. Also there is no longer the availability of tea if I am not a coffee drinker. Also there is no continental breakfast. For 160$ it is not worth it. No more will I stay at any of your OYO again, nor will I recommend your places to anyone I know.

If you are a regular person just trying to get a nights rest and have a clean bathroom to wash up in do not stay here. My mom and I came here from CO and had no idea what to expect but got zero sleep as there were people next door screaming all night and trying to open the connecting door. People outside in the parking lot also yelling through 3am. We only stayed one of the two nights we booked and got another hotel for the rest of our stay in WA even though it was prepaid. It was that bad, we just wanted to get some sleep. If you plan to party all night this place may work for you.

This was a very sketchy place. It was run ok and the room was decent but they seemed to be housing a lot of people in rehab so odd characters looming about. One time when returning to the hotel, there were 4 cop cruisers there arresting someone. Not certain what the incident was but did not feel safe.

The hotel posted in the picture is not it. There is no pool, no hot tub, no breakfast, and a ton of homeless people surrounding the building, sleeping in their cars. And living in the woods. This results in paying customers not being able to use the side door so you have to walk all the way around through the front when our room is literally at the side, next to the door. But that door must stay locked so homeless people don't come inside. We had a lady knock on our door twice asking for money the first night. The second night we got in around midnight. This random guy approached us and asked for our room number, I refused to give that information being we are two females in our 30s. And he came off sketchy, he claimed he was security, we didn't believe him and walked to our room. 20 min later the cops are there questioning us. We told them exactly what happened. They agreed we were in the right. But made us apologize to the guy so we could stay. This was absolutely out of line. We felt harassed. We get approached often and do not acknowledge everyone for safety reasons. The cops were very reasonable. This place is creepy and not safe for women. Every time we go out to have a smoke a random dude in their car, that they had been sleeping in... In the parking lot asks us for a cigarette. It's wierd. And why aren't the cops called on them, why are they not staying in the rooms. We noticed. 2 trucks have been here for more than 3 nights. This place is wack. Dont stay here.

Does anyone have the actual number to the hotel? Trying to get the rest of our refund that hotel seems to think they can keep. Even though we didn’t stay. After 3 room changes, the door handle falling apart and locking is in our room, and the room that smelled like cigarettes, not to mention the cops showing up, the hotel staff tweaking on their car right in front of the hotel. All around terrible experience and just want the rest of our money back. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Stayed here for a night. The Hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood. The check-in process was very smooth. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Their WiFi actually works! The room was spacious and clean. This place deserves a 5/5

I stayed for 1 night and they charged an extra $100 for an damages that might occur over the stay. When they left they said that it would be a five day period before I received the security fund back. It has now been over a month and every time I try and call customer service to get my refund back they are extremely unhelpful and sound like they’re underwater so I can’t hear a single thing that they’re saying. I tried putting it on speaker and holding up to my ear and I still can’t make out a word that they’re saying and then they just tell me to send an email to a corporation so I do that and I hear nothing back, this is ridiculous, how badly do you need $100? Extremely unhelpful and I’m fed up. Also the hotel wasn’t clean at all and we left early.

Only marked down room because I had a room across from noisy vending machines. Not offering breakfast yet so didn't expect any but we've sure all gotten spoiled - kinda missed it. Otherwise a perfectly satisfactory stay.

I stayed at the Oyos' Tumwater, Wa. location for a few weeks beginning Feb 9th. Eventually, I had decided to leave because my keycard would never work and there was no laundry room. The keycards were an ongoing issue and more than once I had to run down the stairs to pee outside because I couldnt get in my room. I'd frequently have to go back downstairs and try 2-3 new cards before an employee could go up there and use their master key to get me in. It could sometimes take 30 minutes to an hour to access my room after trying all the new cards, 20 or 30 times each. I had to remove my valuables and leave the door unlocked so I could get back in my room. The TV reception went out every 5 or so minutes. I know the property recently changed hands and the employees are trying hard to correct what they can. Prateek, the OYO Guest Experience Manager from corporate office, sent me a 40% off coupon (for a single night stay) stipulating that it was valid only for that location and only for 90 days. I made several attempts to redeem the coupon over the phone and today, in person, but was turned away from the property which had been (ostensibly) closed for improvements. I felt bad for the patient and hard working staff that were reproached by customers for issues beyond their control. It is difficult to communicate with the corporate location. There is a language barrier. I'm 14 emails into this and I'm still receiving some of the same replies that do not acknowledge the questions I ask or address my inability to redeem the faux king coupon.

My room was clean and comfortable, the staff has been awesome and friendly. Even though they have some remodeling going on they have kept the noise to a minimum and the work spaces tidy. They have been very accommodating! Thank you

Not ready for prime time. This property is currently undergoing renovations after being taken over by OYO. It was formerly a Guest House property. 1. There is currently construction being done on the first floor. 2. No breakfast or even coffee in the AM. 3. Lobby is badly in need of work...really shabby at this time. 4. Room was clean enough, but no maid service. 5. Plumbing leaked around the toilet bowl in the first room I stayed in. AM Desk Clerk told me it would be addressed, but it wasn't. 6. Second room was OK, but dated. 7. No Desk Clerk on duty when I wanted to check out. Waited 15 minutes but no one showed up. It was cheap, and deservedly so.

This was a below average stay and below average hotel. When he got to our rooms, there was a huge trash bag right in front of our door. It was filled with some nasty old food and caused the whole floor to smell bad. This caused our room to smell even worse. I asked if we could get a different room, and I was told I had to pay an extra 25 dollars. What kind of service is this. I even brought the trash bag down, to show the front desk. I cam only assume that housekeeping left it there and forgot about it. There was also an old refrigerator on a dolly left in the hallway for 3 days. The rooms are extremely outdated. The sheets don't fit the king size beds. The heater/ac blow upwards which causes the curtains to constantly flair out over the bed and allow all the sunlight in. Probably won't stay there again. As they say you get what you pay for.

My family was happy with the space of the room for the price point we booked with. Our room was satisfactory in cleanliness. The employees are helpful when you need assistance or have questions, but otherwise, they afford guests privacy, which is important to my family. Thank you OYO Hotel for being a safe place for my family to rest our heads.

The hotel is under new management and was still being remodeled during my stay. The rooms however were in great shape! I believe when the remodel is completed it will be a great place to stay! The only difficult part of the stay came during checkout when no person was available at the front desk for a couple of hours on a Sunday morning.

The rooms are alright for the price and the location too. Ther service was decent. These are old rooms and you feel it. The power outlets never hold the chargers and I had difficulties charging my devices. This is an okay hotel for a quick night stay.

I have enjoyed my stay at OHO in Olymia-Tumwater very much. My room is nice and spacious and the bed is very comfortable!! I have a nice view from my window and it is peaceful here. The staff have been friendly and polite. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends!!

Booked a reservation one week in advance, called them 30 minutes before I got there and they said they canceled it due to maintenance. Well you could have freaking called me before I drove 3 freakin hours and to be honest I don't think there was any maintenance issue, they just gave my room to someone else but that's neither here nor there. This was my first time trying these clowns and definitely my last.

It was in the process of being remodeled. I felt like I was instantly right at home! I loved all the trees and flowers. Connie at the front desk was a big help! I liked the place alot!! The room was also big!

I wasn’t able to stay as hotel had sold previous day. My confirmation number meant nothing to them. The front desk person could not have been ruder! I had to find accommodations on my own paying full price to sleep in an awful hotel room. The good thing i can say about Days Inn in Aurora was I made myself a damn good waffle and the coffee wasn’t bad. Hotels/motels need to find people who want a job. The homeless man I encountered in the parking had more enthusiasm about seeing me!
