I went here for a field trip in college and it was amazing! They were super welcoming, the buildings are beautiful, and it's a place that just makes you feel good. The Squaxin Island tribe run this museum fabulously.

The history of the Squaxin tribe is as powerful as it is tragic. The people's efforts to document their culture and ways of life stands as a powerful and deeply insightful counter-narrative to colonizer history and perception. I was moved and my heart expanded with this encounter. Thank you for changing me with your witness.

Wonderful educational experience. Went with the kids, and it was closed. Called them to find out when they expect to open again, and a person came to open it just for us and show us around (I recommend calling if closed again). Very welcoming and knowledgeable, loved learning about the dug-out canoe. My family has a generations long history in the area, and I could feel the deeper connection these people have to a place I love. May their nation persevere and thrive for generations to follow.

Really nice little museum. $5 for adults to get in, some things to read and artifacts to look at. Spent about an hour going through the exhibit and an hour in the gift shop 😂 They had some very nice things and it was clean and well-organized. Nice quick stop if you are in the area.

Interesting place, only visited the gift shop/building and a bit of the outdoors area. Bought a couple of items and chatted with employees from tribe. Worth a stop, will go again. Also seen a new Vietnam honor flag that I had not seen a version of before...was impressed with that. I should have taken a photo, oh well, next stop I will.

Fascinating info about the indigenous people of the Pacific Northwest. Well written displays. Very much a living museum with history connecting to present day. Grrat place to bring students of all ages.

Nice Museum to learn about the Squaxin Indian tribe. There are some display cases with artifacts and beautiful hand woven baskets. The Structure itself is made up of supporting logs and amazing wood. The outside has a nice water feature that we really liked

Because of COVID death of tribal member, it was not completely open but I was lucky enough to meet one of the museum curators and he was very-VERY informative and super pleasant. I love this museum and everything about the natural setting.

👍👍 This park is a hidden gem. There's miles of walking trails, no mud. There's a giant field on the main side, and another big field on the other side. The main side has lakefront. It's a must visit place. ***Please dispose of your trash and clean up after your dogs***
