Had a lovely day at the Ulster Transport Museum. Parking is above the museum, trees hide the museum from the view of the car park so you can not see the entrance until you park up and walk down. So do not doubt your in the wrong place 😁. Disabled parking available, large car park. Toilets available inside. When we where there I only saw vending machines for drinks and snacks. However, there is tables both inside and out so you could bring food with you. There is a stretch of grass between two of the buildings that have picnic tables along side, each table has a place for a wheelchair. There is a hill down to the bottom building, bare this in mind if anyone has mobility issues as it just might take you a little longer on the way back. It is possible there maybe a café during the busy season. Parms and wheelchairs can easily manoeuvre about the buildings as there is ramps throughout. That said you for obvious reasons need to ensure small children are held onto when going up on the train platforms as there is a gap between platforms and the trains (mind the gap). You are allowed on some of the trains as well as doorways of some buses, this however, is not wheelchair accessible due to the nature of the vehicles. Staff where very friendly, museum was very clean with lots to look at. Our 21 month old son loved it, engaging for all ages. We will definitely be back.

Really fascinating place to visit, it's enjoyable and you could spend most of the day here if you visit both parts (Transport & folk) Plenty of old type buses and vehicles to see, unfortunately due to covid spreading you can't get on any vehicles. But I would still recommend for a day out. Definitely had fun with the family. Also the staff member on front desk (transport) was very helpful to change our family ticket when I purchased the wrong booking, very polite and helpful staff.

Visited first time morning of a late afternoon flight at BHD & will be back. Our 4-year-old lived the trains - especially getting to go on the and see it from drivers’ view (as - ahem - did the grown ups…). Powerful and informative section on the Titanic, and the bus and car sections were also fascinating. Staff were very warm and friendly, and very helpful. Also had a newborn with us - plenty of baby changing options. Note: the on-site cafe is closed but you can bring your own packed lunch the museum to have the cafe area (which is set up as a Victorian train station waiting area).

On entry the staff couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and informative and same on entering the second building. There is so much to see and beautifully preserved and displayed. The delorean was my favourite as we are 'Back to the future' fans and loved the variety of short movie displays (laser lights and reference to the movie) surrounding the new placement display of the car. Lovely relaxing day for family and adults alike. Would definitely recommend 👌

Really enjoyed my visit. Loads of cars, buses, trams and trains to see and enjoy. Friendly staff if you have any questions. Only a short walk from nearby Cultra Station.

Revamped in the 20+ years since I last visited. Amazing selection of NI transport across the decades. Accessible and child friendly with lots of interactive exhibits. It was nice to be able to board the trains and carriages rather than just look from behind a barrier. Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable.

The Museum offers a view of the different types of transportation used over history. I was particularly interested in the Titanic and the ratio of how many persons died that day. It was a hard lesson learnt. If you like hiking they also have an outside trail of our solar system you can check out.

It was a family visit. Family tickets available and free parking as well. Good access by public transport as the train station is a few steps away. I would prefer to take a train instead of a car. Be aware of opening hours as they are limited to 6 h per day. There are four sections in the museum : railway, car, Titanic and innovation. Well organised exhibition with original museum items. Automatic sale machine for drinks and snacks in the railway section where you can sit on chairs provided. I didn't like the heat inside the railway section. It creates an atmosphere of slow petrol smell and brings discomfort. I think visitors can manage a little cold temperatures but with some fresh air in the hall. There were no indicators for guidance and entrance to the car section and innovation. Definitely one of top landmarks of Northern Ireland

Fascinating and brilliant place to visit and to learn about the history of transportation. There is also a discovery of innovations. Visiting this place is like walking back in the past. You are able to see different kind of transportations from the past to present. Will definitely recommend visiting this museum.

Great visit lots to see and do , A lot of walking but the lay out makes it easy to do ,and lots of seating area's to stop for a break ,it would be advisable to bring a packed lunch as only vending machines for snacks and drinks ,the only let down as these weren't very well stocked . Lots of picnic tables around the grounds would make the day even better in good weather ,

Was stunning, have been touring different museums now for a while and kept putting it off, now that I've seen it I'm shocked I didn't go sooner, it is worth going to, and I will be going again, it has an area for trains, an area for the titanic and 2 areas for older cars. 10/10 and lovely helpful staff. I have a museum card so it was free so I don't know if buying tickets in advance would be helpful

The transport museum was fantastic! I enjoyed learning about the different types of locomotive engines, cars, and other types of transportation that changed the way we developed and grew our economy. The museum is separated into different areas/galleries which is brilliantly selected. You will be able to walk the train/locomotive area. Then, you will be able to visit cars, motorcycles, bus and even an area with the titanic exhibit. There is a section dedicated to planes and ships as well. The museum does have a gift shop located inside.

Second visit to the Transport Museum and had more time to enjoy it this time. Very enjoyable and a fascinating experience. While trains aren't really my thing the sheer size of the locomotives is so impressive. The Titanic section is thought provoking to say the least. Really enjoyed the car's and bikes. A great way to spend a few hours - would be even better with a café.

Friendly staff with lots of vehicles.. The only issue is despite the number of cars it still felt quite empty? My only suggestion is to make better use of the space. I would recommend the museum to anyone

We're very lucky to have this large, interesting and well presented museum in NI. It's worth multiple visits to see everything properly. The staff are great too. The only downside is the tea room doesn't seem to open much post COVID. Though there are vending machines for hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks.

Best all in transport museum I've visited. Tell the story of transport in Ulster very well. Titanic exhibit worth it on its own.

We absolutely love it here. It's a brilliant museum. We have a little boy who is obsessed with vehicles so it's our second time visiting. It's a little disappointing that you can't enter the trains anymore but completely understandable with covid. There is a new delorean display which is really cool. Staff are really friendly too

The museum has a great selection of trains, trams, cars, carts and Ulster aviation history. As well as a time machine :-) Great Scott! The last Ulster schooner "Result" is also here.

Regardless of if you are a local or coming from further afield, a trip to the museum will give you valuable insight to the significant modes of transport with most exhibits having a regional connection. While it is a bit of a walk from the car park to the main building, and it can be very busy at peak times, it’s worth it for the contents on display.

A nice wee outting with the family, not over my things but certainly I can see the appeal for those who have an interest. The Delorian exhibit could do with a little work. A little mention of that little movie series it became famous from might add a tad more to the exhibit maybe??

Museum re-opened so we decided in a visit. Mask to be worn and vending machines the food and drink options. We joined the free tours for an insight into the museum, the tour guides were great. So much to see here, impossible to take it all in with just one visit.

Wow My 2nd visit in 5 years. You cannot fail but be impressed with the AMAZING selection of locomotives, cars, horse carriages, aircraft all under one roof.

I had an amazing time at the Transport museum and the picture of the Méabh steam train was actually driven by my late grandfather. One of the reasons I visited this wonderful museum. Will definitely return.
