Mikado's website makes it easy to find just the right ring! They offer more setting choices than just about any other 'create your own' ring site. Mike is easy to communicate with, and obviously loves what he does. As everyone is nervous buying an $$$ piece of jewelry, the quality of the ring I received was excellent, and of course incl. the original IGI certificate for the center stone. Don't hesitate, no matter who you are buying for. My one suggestion is give yourself a day or so after choosing one setting, go through them all again to make sure, ask Mike for his input, then make the leap ♥ I hope the picture I took inspires someone.

When my husband proposed, he utilized his great grandmother’s center Diamond from her engagement ring in my ring. If the star scale was 1 - 100 I would still rate Mikado Diamonds higher then that. It all started with meeting Mike. I thought I knew what I was looking for and how to pick a diamond. I was close, but a few lessons from Mike and I saw a huge difference in what I thought looked good. In fact, I knew I was working with the right jeweler when he talked me out of the more expensive diamond I chose, based n the one he showed me pictures which turned out to be a better, less expensive stone, but looked 100% better than what I chose. Who does that? Mike does that. When it came to choosing a band and setting, I knew what I was looking for but couldn't find it. After explaining what I wanted, Mike came back with a few suggestions that weren't even on the web site, and all were spot on with what I was looking for. Ultimately I had to choose one but then I had a request; can we change the metal? He made all that happen for a price that was outstanding. But all that wasn't the best part, that came when the ring arrived two days before leaving for our vacation when I was going to propose and the ring was far better then the pictures and artist renderings.
