Absolutely the most caring, efficient medical facility I have ever had to visit! Every staff member greets you with a smile while willingly taking their time to be of the up most assistance. The facility itself is immaculate & hand sanitizers are plentiful! I was struggling with health issues & decisions, however the buildings decor, courtyard, etc... made a very calming, relaxing environment relieving some anxiety so I could think straight. Water available to drink from a serve yourself cool fridge to cup system in every clinical waiting area was not only refreshing but impressively sanitary! Thanks for the coffee or tea also! A full day of appointments and with all the conveniences I did not have to leave the Buffett Cancer Center once! The Center offered me choices when I became hungry. I am so grateful my medical team is located in this facility!

I am a patient who is scheduled for a stem cell transplant at the Buffett Cancer Center. I was staying at a nearby hotel and commuting to the facility while going through the process of preparing me for my transplant. When I was going to the facility for an appointment I had a heart attack in the parking facility and was admitted to the facility for treatment for heart issues. The entire staff was absolutely wonderful and I had the best care I could possibly have had. The heart issues have postponed my stem cell transplant but thanks to the expedient and competent care I received during that emergency, I will be able to have my lifesaving procedure. This is absolutely the best facility of its kind that I have ever seen. They are the most caring and compassionate people and make you feel like you are their most important consideration.

My dad was quickly taken in as a patient with the Head and Neck Cancer specialists. He was inpatient for a few days and then discharged although I fought with them that he wasn’t fit to go home, but they let him go. He ended up coming right back less than 48 hrs later. He had a form of dementia and was confused, hallucinating, ETC. The nurses did a great job of redirecting my dad and reminding him of where he is and why. Unfortunately, the cancer became untreatable. While we waited to find a hospice or care facility, the social workers worked hard to help me and my Dad. The internal medicine team was wonderful, oncology answered all of my questions, and palliative care made sure he was comfortable. He is now placed in a facility and living his final days in peace and outside enjoying the weather. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because there was an incident where dad got confused and said he needed to go outside. The nurse said he could walk the halls. He got dressed and was wandering around a parking garage. I knew he was gone before they did because I called him to say good night.

In addition to being an incredible medical center, it houses one of the most comprehensive and least-known Chihuly glass art exhibits in the world! Take the β€œZ” elevators to floor four to check it out. Truly gorgeous and no one there. What a beautiful art sanctuary installation in this cancer center, such a wonderful area to include.

Was authorized to go with my parents to get appointments then it expired and was not informed that there was an expiration causing stress for my mother who has issues on hearing and understanding. When they were told she was a stand and pivot. One person assist with a fair belt and had no movement in her left side they attempted to lift her under her arms without a gaitbelt and tried lifting her into a table four inches higher than her hip. Told her not to tough then even though anyone who has been in the nursing field should know that this may be normal as this is how it was done at home. If there is no touch allowed a hoyer lift should have been utilized instead of causing the patient stress and possibly hurting them in the transfer process.

For the most part it has been rather exceptional service wise. Aunts been coming here for chemo for a little while, as well as other health issues she has had over the past few years. There have been a few times with rude nurses or condescending doctor's, ex. Talking over patient or family, not what you expect. But for the most part it's been outstanding.

The most professional and competent medical organization I have ever encountered in my life. Truly amazing, caring, and compassionate staff. Leading edge technology. My life- saving procedure was not available anywhere in the world 2 years ago, but everything has gone perfectly.

Waited for 15 minutes for someone to come to my car. Never did do got out & walked to the β€œshack” where there was a lady who was extremely rude. While waiting the 15 minutes there was also one of your β€œParker’s” looking at his phone & completely ignoring the patients who were trying to get valet parking. I watched 3 cars pull in behind me & they all grew tired of waiting. Caused me to be late for my appointment. Unacceptable

Dr Shonka helped my mom in her battle with terminal brain cancer. Our collective gratitude for her and her staff’s work is beyond measure.

Worst care imaginable. I've lived in many parts of the country, having received care at many hospitals and this is by far the WORST. The doctors don't communicate with patients. They act as if they're gracing you with their presence and are vague with answers. Rounds are rushed so questions ABOUT YOUR LIFE go unanswered. The staff has no regard for modesty. The food was horrible. I overhead staff speaking ill of patients outside my room, in a mocking manner. The level of care and bedside manner is non-existent. The disrespect is unsurpassed, WORST I've seen. AVOID THIS PLACE.

If your loved one has been diagnosed with cancer, come here before you go anywhere else! I wished we had began the entire journey here. Unfortunately, rather than waiting for dr referrals we decided to get my moms treatment started immediately elsewhere. Not to mention there was a nationwide carboplatin shortage so we went the first place we found it. After being discharged too soon from the other healthcare organizations hospitals we found ourselves demanding the best care and ended up here where she’s been receiving amazing support. The team has been so accommodating, helpful, and understanding even though her terminal cancer case was entirely new to them. Just follow your gut and figure out a way to get to the med center! I know my family and I wished we had.

The Buffet Cancer Center in Omaha, Nebraska is home to the best oncologist, Dr Jason Foster. I feel blessed to be under his excellent care. Every patient of his is treated like family. Why would you want to go anywhere else?

I had my stem cell transplant back in December of 2018. The care I received was 5 stars. The entire staff truly cared about my wellbeing. Nebraska is very fortunate to have such an outstanding facility. Thanks Buffet Cancer Center for the gift of life.
