    I have only gone to Healthcare West 20 plus years and now I am a suddenly classified as a new patient. Every time I tried to contact them this past year for medical assistance I was told I was new so I had to come in for a physical to see a doctor but I could see a PA until then. Even though I have had one physical every fall for 20 plus years and had just had one November 2 weeks before Dr. Omar left - I still had to see a PA or come in for a full physical to see a doctor. Now, for my medication. I took two drugs but only needed one refilled monthly to help with a total knee replacement issue. Every time the pharmacy called HealthcareWest, they said the doctor no longer worked there or was not taking new patients or the nurse called and said I had to come in for a physical. I am not sick and I am not going to pay $800.00 for blood tests that I don’t need and that are not covered under my insurance with a high deductible and I told them I would come in but not for a physical. I reschedued my physical, when they called to tell me the doctor was ill that day and could not take me, for a day when I am first becoming eligible for medicare - 2 months away - and they called and said they can’t wait two months; I must come in now or they can’t refill my prescription. I told them I would come gladly but not for an $800.00 physical I don’t need since I am not sick. Oh, this was a discussion with a clinic manager, Jamie, not the doctor. The doctor does have a 3,000 patient caseload and really is not interested in refilling my prescription for a patient he does not know. Do I blame him - No but why am I being billed for a complete physical when I come in to satisfy seeing the dr. to just get a refill on my drug that I need. I don’t blame the doctor - he doesn’t even know me even though he has 20 plus years of my medical records and I have never gone to any other clinic. He could know me if he wasn’t overloaded and worked over by another corporation that governs this clinic. Go to CHI - they will take you in a heartbeat. In 5 minutes and sit down with you and discuss - you don’t have to pretend to be sick so they can charge you for services. I am so angry

    Every time I call the receptionists are extremely rude to me and not helpful in the least. They must really hate their lives. I had a great doctor but he retired and they apparently are not taking new patients. Im taking my business elsewhere, they should learn how to have better customer service.

    Dr Stevenson is an amazing Doctor, along with his staff. But the check in process is ridiculous. 4 receptionists and you still have to wait to be processed. Be the first one in line and they pretend to be overwhelmed. Rude and very unwilling to help. Find people that want to work. Very sad. Get passed them and the Doctors and Nurses are the best!!!

    Went for a doctors appointment for a cough and they billed me for two visits for prescribing me my pills I have been taking since high school they justified it being two visits on two separate issues. Been going there for years never have they billed me two visits in one for almost 300 dollars? I feel like a number and a there next paycheck. Guess who is paying in pennies. Finding a new doctor who cares for people not just money. So disappointed!

    I was a Dr. Omar patient. I had been seeing Dr. Omar for 25+ years and was being seen at the Healthwest Clinic since it opened, probably 20 years ago. The clinic was close to my house and was my “medical home.” Apparently there was some kind of dispute and Dr. Omar was unexpectedly “retired.” OK, I get it, stuff happens. When I called to make an appointment 6 months in advance for an annual physical, so I could get my prescription renewed for a long term medication, I was told that since Dr. Omar was no longer there, I was considered a new patient and they weren’t accepting new patients at that clinic. I had two clinic choices that were some ways away from where I live. After 20 years as an insured, pay on time patient at that clinic, to all the sudden be a “new patient that can’t go there” seems pretty outrageous. Wasn’t just me. I’ve seen other reviews where other patients had the same experience. If I could give them zero stars I would.

    I have had great experiences at this facility. Dr Klug, the nurses, and Olivia Murphy have all been fantastic. I highly recommend.

    My husband and I both go here and we love it! Staff is very welcoming, he likes his doctor, Dr. Huff, and I like mine, Dr. Brilz. Both doctors are very thorough and experienced! It is very refreshing!

    All three receptionists at Internal Medicine hate their job and wish to be unkind to everyone who approaches them... so unnecessary to be rude like that.

    I love the customer service from the team at Health West Family Practice clinic. If you take the time to treat people with kindness you get it back two fold. Dr Anderson-Fowler is great doctor that listens and then she diagnoses the situation and make no assumptions. I highly recommend her to anyone. She is very professional with a kind disposition for others.

    Got a call on behalf of my mother today telling me that they are denying her service. When asked why, they said they couldn’t tell me. I found that to be unprofessional.

On the day of appointment I called and the medical receptionist is saying your appointment is moved to Sep without my approval or talking to me they reschedule. I would request to monitor the medical staff and tell them to ask details of a patient when they call over the phone for scheduling or rescheduling appointment. A person with name X cannot make a Call to reschedule appointment for Person Y and your team should change it without confirming any vital information i.e name and DOB. I am very disappointed though Dr. Fowler is a great doctor and needs to know this things going behind her back. Thank you

    I called the office for the first time today to try and schedule an appointment with a PA who I have been seeing for several years at a Nebraska Med clinic, but she has recently moved to this clinic. The receptionist was horribly rude and short with me after telling me there is no way I can see my PA because their clinic is not accepting new patients. Zero compassion or kindness. I hope you will consider hiring new receptionist staff, because it looks like many have complained of the same issue.
