Staying at Oft’s Bed and Breakfast was wonderful! Their home has a lovely charm to it and they owners are so friendly! The breakfast was top notch with great conversation to be had. If you need a break from the daily rat race, check out this B&B.

This bnb was the highlight of our anniversary. We sincerely enjoyed our visits and conversations with the host and hostess. We stayed 4 days. The home, bed and room were comfortable. We plan to refer our family and friends for stays at Oft's. Thanks for making our anniversary so memorable.

We enjoyed our brief stay at the Oft B&B. Linda was very friendly and recognized how tired we were from travelling so she suggested a restaurant within walking distance where we had a delicious dinner. The Gordon Room was spacious for all our travelling accessories and very comfortable. There was a sitting room where we relaxed and watched some TV before retiring. The breakfast prepared by Gordon was ample and had quite a variety of delicious items to try. We would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast for anyone needing a quiet respite.

Wonderful bed and breakfast. The owners were so sweet and attentive to our needs. They made delicious breakfasts in the morning and the place was very clean and homy. Highly recommend, especially for anyone who loves historical homes.

The house is gorgeous, the decorations are classic and unique. Gordon and Linda were so kind, and even accommodated for my friend and I arriving at 10pm for check-in! And the breakfast was better than any cafe could provide - they even make fresh bread for us. An amazing experience for us!

A few weeks ago I was trying to find lodging in Omaha to visit my daughter at Grace University. It happened to be the weekend of the Berkshire-Hathaway convention, and every hotel room I could find (and they were few and far between) was over $300 per night. In desperation, I started looking at alternatives and found Gordon and Linda's fantastic B&B. They are incredibly nice folks! The room we had was above the garage - but don't let that discourage you. It was amazing! We had a bedroom with two queen beds, a small kitchen and sitting area, and a fantastic private bathroom. The decor is mostly from Gordon's family. Pictures of Gordon's relatives serve as a reminder that the main house has been in his family since it was built in 1910. I am not much of a decorator, but even I could see the love and care taken to restore the house. Huge sycamore trees overlook the property; there is a beautiful pond, and if I had had time, I would have sat on the wrap around porch all day long. Even if you are not normally a B&B'er, you need to check out Oft's Bed & Breakfast. Oh - the breakfast was to die for! There were even fresh chocolate chip cookies awaiting us in our room when we arrived. Little touches like these made the whole experience wonderfully memorable. I wished we had been able to stay with Gordon and Linda for 2 or 3 nights. Relaxing and serene are the words I would use to describe this property. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

Gordon and Linda are fabulous hosts. This was my first time ever staying at a B&B and they certainly established a very high bar. It is hard to fathom that anyone else could top their hospitality. The house and room were beautiful. Extremely kind and gracious hosts!

We stayed with Gordon and Linda in late September after flying into Omaha to start a road trip to south Nebraska to learn more about Willa Cather. We were the only guests in the house and enjoyed an introduction to the well-documented history of Gordon and his family's multi-generational tenure in the house. They encouraged us to have supper at a quirky neighborhood restaurant-pizza parlor across the street and it was a great slice of local life as well as pizza. We had such a great visit that we arranged to stay with them a week later on our way back home. They are great folks, serve a wonderful breakfast and keep the cleanest old home I have ever seen. I highly recommend Offt's B&B.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay at Gordon and Linda's beautiful home! The bedroom and bath were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Gordon's breakfasts were delicious (his fried potatoes are on point!), and I thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with him and Linda over coffee. Such a lovely way to start each day! I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. I look forward to my next stay! -- Theresa E.

My wife and I just did a tour of five northern Midwest states and stayed in five bed and breakfasts. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. Gordon and Linda, were waiting for us as we pulled into the driveway. Right away, they made us feel like family. We stayed in the Mueller suite above the garage/carriage house. The attention to detail and decor in the suite was like a western museum. Between my wife and I, we took a lot of pictures and video to share with family. The room was big with plenty of space as compared to a typical bed and breakfast. As we entered their home for breakfast, again, we felt like we were with family. We started our cups of coffee in the kitchen while Gordon was putting the finishing touches on our breakfast. We then sat down to eat and they joined us as they ate breakfast. We engaged in amazing conversations about their lives, careers, and family. We really enjoyed the fact that they also asked us about ourselves and were good listeners too. As we finished our breakfast, their good friend Coelita "she came with the house" arrived and joined us for conversation. She was very energetic and lively and we immediately became attached to her as well. We probably ended up conversing way too long but it was enjoyable and very pleasant for us and hopefully for them too. We highly recommend Oft's bed and breakfast and would give it six stars if we could! Thank you! Marc and Carmen

It's a step back in time at Oft's BnB with the old house and antiques to look at for days. Linda & Gordon are lovely people and the breakfast was really, really good each morning.

We got away from the rat-race of Lincoln for a quiet weekend at Oft House in Bennington, NE. It was located close to our daughter and son-in-law from Omaha so that we could spend time with them. Gordon and Linda are wonderful hosts, and made sure that we had the best experience while at their B & B! The food that they provided was delicious; the history was captivating; the conversation flowed easily; and the accommodations were top-notch and very comfortable! We plan to return again soon for another relaxing, positive experience! We highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to enjoy a laid-back escape from it all!!

Gordon and Linda are wonderful, friendly and accommodating hosts. The breakfast served at 8A was healthy and tasty - omelets, homemade bread and jam, sausage, bacon, apple and orange juices, and more. They also have recommendations as to activities in the area. We took them up on some of them and were glad we did. We saw the Bennington Labor Day Car Show that was cool to see. We went to the DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge and the Steamboat Bertrand Museum. About a 20 minute ride into Omaha, where my friends live, so a nice little drive. The rooms have almost everything you could want. Only a couple things we were wont of, like a bedside table next to the beds and comfortable chairs to sit in in TV area. Otherwise, the full kitchen, with full sized fridge and freezer, AC in room, balcony, dining area, historic decor from the property, are all nice. Modern bathroom is nice. Our room above the garage was so nice, because we had the place to ourselves and didn't have to share space with anyone else. We look forward to returning, and I would recommend this to others.
