A
few
weeks
ago
I
was
trying
to
find
lodging
in
Omaha
to
visit
my
daughter
at
Grace
University.
It
happened
to
be
the
weekend
of
the
Berkshire-Hathaway
convention,
and
every
hotel
room
I
could
find
(and
they
were
few
and
far
between)
was
over
$300
per
night.
In
desperation,
I
started
looking
at
alternatives
and
found
Gordon
and
Linda's
fantastic
B&B.
They
are
incredibly
nice
folks!
The
room
we
had
was
above
the
garage
-
but
don't
let
that
discourage
you.
It
was
amazing!
We
had
a
bedroom
with
two
queen
beds,
a
small
kitchen
and
sitting
area,
and
a
fantastic
private
bathroom.
The
decor
is
mostly
from
Gordon's
family.
Pictures
of
Gordon's
relatives
serve
as
a
reminder
that
the
main
house
has
been
in
his
family
since
it
was
built
in
1910.
I
am
not
much
of
a
decorator,
but
even
I
could
see
the
love
and
care
taken
to
restore
the
house.
Huge
sycamore
trees
overlook
the
property;
there
is
a
beautiful
pond,
and
if
I
had
had
time,
I
would
have
sat
on
the
wrap
around
porch
all
day
long.
Even
if
you
are
not
normally
a
B&B'er,
you
need
to
check
out
Oft's
Bed
&
Breakfast.
Oh
-
the
breakfast
was
to
die
for!
There
were
even
fresh
chocolate
chip
cookies
awaiting
us
in
our
room
when
we
arrived.
Little
touches
like
these
made
the
whole
experience
wonderfully
memorable.
I
wished
we
had
been
able
to
stay
with
Gordon
and
Linda
for
2
or
3
nights.
Relaxing
and
serene
are
the
words
I
would
use
to
describe
this
property.
Do
yourself
a
favor
and
give
it
a
try.
