😠 I decided to stop in for some Indian food. I chose this place because the reviews were good. The chicken tikka masala that I ordered was the absolute worst I’ve ever had. I’ve had it probably hundreds of times. The first thing I noticed is the color was off. Typically it’s got a light red or orange... As you can see, we tried a little bit of everything! The garlic Naan and tandoori chickenI couldn't stop eating! All of the appetizers were delicious. Also, I love that they have so many vegan options! I'll definitely be back for more!!

Quiet little joint, but everyone is very friendly. The food was DIVINE! We’ve had Indian food in 5 different states/cities and we’ve never had malai kofta, masala, and naans that were THAT GOOD! Clean bathrooms, short wait time, zero complaints. Will be coming back!

I decided to stop in for some Indian food. I chose this place because the reviews were good. The chicken tikka masala that I ordered was the absolute worst I’ve ever had. I’ve had it probably hundreds of times. The first thing I noticed is the color was off. Typically it’s got a light red or orange color. This was straight up dark red. I didn’t really think anything of it until I tasted it. It literally tasted like ketchup on dry chicken. It was so sweet. And the waiter came to my table. It was so bad I didn’t even eat one piece of the chicken. He asked me what I thought, and I told him that I had never had sweet chicken tikka masala. I also mentioned the color. He said I must be mistaken. On a positive note, the garlic naan was really good. But for $25 expect more than eating naan for dinner.

This review is really difficult for me, because their food can be incredibly good. I'm going to put the headline first in the details after: my biggest problem with them is their inconsistency. They are still worth trying, I think, if you go to them in person and find them open. Please do note that, at the time of me writing this, they do not have a buffet regularly: though the buffet space is still out and ready to have food put into its pans. Details to follow. This place recently changed names, not sure whether they changed owners as well, and I never went to them before that change. In the last 3 months, we've gotten food from this restaurant - or tried to - at least five times. Our first experience there was in person and the food was stunning. They were out of goat, so they offered lamb, and my dish was still good. My wife's soup was incredible. This is a soup I normally do not like and I enjoyed it. The next time we got food from them, we ordered online and while the food was not bad it was not nearly as good. Also the spice profile was completely off that second time. I had ordered significantly spicier than my wife and hers was much spicier than mine. To the point that we actually had to switch. We decided to give them another chance, and the next time we eat from there the food was fantastic again and properly spiced. I tried to call in our order, because it was on a holiday and I wasn't sure they would be open. Across multiple attempts they never once picked up the phone, despite the fact that when I got there they had only one customer. Thinking that our second experience here was a bit of a fluke, we kept ordering from them online. A quick note here, they have three different online ordering services available, but their "Preferred" service, they no longer work with. You have to use one of the others. Now to the last straw. The last time we ordered was not a holiday and they should have been open according to their posted hours. We ordered, I went to pick it up, and the place was dark. I arrived there roughly half an hour to an hour after their stated open time. It wasn't a question of lights on but looks like I just missed them, the restaurant was completely and absolutely dark. Luckily, I was able to get our money back from the online service that we ordered from. I really and truly wish that I could wholeheartedly endorse this restaurant, but because of the inconsistencies in cooking and in them being open when they say they will, and not having stuff on the menu that they actually are able to cook for you, I just can't. Here's what I would suggest, if you happen to be driving by or walking by and see that they are open and active, and you're able to get nearby parking, give them a chance. I sincerely hope they're just getting their feet under them and will become more consistent and reliable as time goes on. If you're hungry and see that they're open in google, however, I cannot suggest ordering from them: if you don't know for certain that they are open.

The food was as authentic as authentic can get! We had vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, and mixed Naan plate. And let me tell you that everything was on point! Delicious!!!

First time takeout order. We ordered through Ubereats. I would order again. Pro Tip: Seems like the orders of curry come in small containers and then you get a decent amount of rice. You don't need to order more, but you can. We ordered more and now we have 2 extra boxes of rice. (there was only 2 of us eating this order which was close to $100) Had an issue. I did like that when I called them they handled the issue quickly. Its going to require us to order again, but like I said, I would, so its good. You could tell they were struggling a little over there, but they still took the time to address the issue. 2 standout dishes with us feeling quite satisfied at the end. Not every dish was a winner for us, but we liked them well enough. Below is the breakdown. Pricing seems inline with most restaurants. I used to eat a lot of Indian food back home (we have one that's on the where to eat on Anne Hardy's list for example), but not as much in Omaha. Lamb Vindaloo 3.5-4 stars It was hard deciding how I felt about this one. The lamb was very tender, but it wasn't my favorite vindaloo sauce. Goat Rogan Josh 4 stars? Honestly I'm not 100 percent sure. I do remember, again the goat was very tender. I've had goat where its tied to the bone and kind of tough. This was really soft and easy to chew. Mixed Tandoori 4 stars We were missing the shrimp which was what I primarily wanted from this. Called the restaurant. They said no problem, they would fix it. Veg Pulao 4 stars I've never had this dish before. I expected it to be more spiced. It was a pretty mild rice side dish with some vegetables in it. Chicken Makhani 5 stars I was told this is the equivalent of butter chicken. Its a tomato based sauce and is a little thicker. Chicken Tikka Masala 5 stars This was the only dish that was a little spicy. This dish was similar to the Makhani chicken. Mixed Basket 3.5 stars due to delivery, could be a 5 star if at the restaurant. Its just not the same when naan isn't fresh. This isn't the restaurants fault at all, its just this doesn't always translate well for delivery.

We had chicken Tikka masala and chana masala. It was amazing. No one else in there, which is astounding considering how good the food was and how quick the service was! Good portion size, plenty of leftovers!

Had the butter chicken, chili chicken and garlic naan. We thought that the chili chicken was slightly undercooked. The butter chicken was one of the best. Garlic naan was ok.

On a recent Friday we stopped in Omaha on our way home (headed to Indiana from Colorado) and decided to walk through the Old Market area to find a place to eat. Everywhere was packed with hour+ waits and we happened to see Indian Bistro. The place was empty and we were hungry, so we said, "why not?" We love Indian food and Indian Bistro did not disappoint. The service was excellent and everything we ordered was delicious (biryani, korma, naan, etc...). I can't fathom why they weren't packed as well. Had we been around another day we probably would have stopped in for the lunch buffet just to try some of their other dishes.

My chicken korma was creamy hot and delicious :) they offer spiciness scale 1-10 so it is super accessible for all palates. Our waiter was quick, courteous and constantly cleaning! Great atmosphere with beautiful murals. Will be back!

How pathetic to have a Buffett at your Indian Restaurant. I loved the “ Himilia” Indian Restaurant after Indian Oven closed being there 35 yrs. It was completely remodeled prior with an attractive warm atmosphere. Freshly made dishes done with great flavors. Your hrs.are off & dissapointed in your quality of food. We ate at your Res.in midtown before moving out!

One of many eateries in the Old Market district. This one shouldn't be overlooked. Great authentic Indian cuisine. Prepared fast and oh so good. Place is clean. Restrooms are in the basement so that's a bit inconvenient but these are old buildings so some odd quirks are to be expected. Great experience.

Arrived very early right when they opened and the service was great and civil. The servers were really nice and the food was great. I have had many Indian food but this is the best I have ever had.

We had a decent experience. We left a yellow water bottle. Called and the guy on the phone didn't understand English and abruptly hung up on us. Called back a few times and he didn't pick up. I don't they know what their doing so quite frustrating. Update: We walked in and Ajith was great about helping us out and saved the water bottle for us. Thank you! Updated rating accordingly.

I did a takeout order for Samosa chat and aloo paratha. It was a disappointment. There was no samosa in the samosa chat. It was just peas and the “filling” was too runny to be samosa filling. It was not what anything a samosa chat is supposed to be at all. Please learn how to make samosa Chat. Aloo paratha had too much dough and barely any potatoes.

Takeout experience was perfect. I stopped inside to order, they sat me with a glass of water while I waited which I really appreciated. Food was delicious, and was still very warm by the time I got home. Mild was perfectly mild. Loved the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan, I will be coming back.

Standard Indian fare. Food and service were fine, no issues. Only mild criticism. The Raita was extremely expensive for the size ($5 for a ketchup cup). Ordered “medium” spicy dishes, but was at least a 7 on a 1-10 scale. I was sweating and other people with me couldn’t eat the dishes. Only other issue was that they had taps at the bar but said they didn’t serve beer. They should remove those taps if they aren’t serving.

We had a large family affair at the restaurant. We made reservations and were treated like we were the only people in the place. Surprisingly, there were fewer people than I believe the quality, flavor, and price should have dictated. We tried at least 12 of the dishes not to mention appetizers and nan. We had zero complaints about anything except they ran out of lamb. But if you want great food and friendly service this is the place.

This restaurant has a cleanliness issue. I sat down and started smelling something nasty, rotten, it was the menu binder. It smelled like spoiled milk or rotten meat. Another couple had the same reaction across the hall, they got up and left. My food came out hot so I figured that any germs would have been kill. Halfway through my meal, a guy came out the kitchen to hand the server a meal to deliver to the customers, me looked dirty and nasty like a homeless person. I feel for homeless people, but I don’t want them preparing my meal if they are filthy. I have lived many of my years overseas and get that not every culture focus on cleanliness as much as westerners do, but their primary customer base are Americans. Overall, the food tasted good, I didn’t get sick, but the place had several competing odors going about and I’m concern of what it might be like in the back where the food is being made, I walked away feeling a little disgusted. They need to fix this. I like Indian food but I will not be taking another chance at this restaurant anytime soon.

This place was my first experience trying Indian food. I went with the butter chicken, and I was very pleased. It came in a fancy little bowl with a bunch of sauce and a separate bowl had the rice, and we decided to toss on some naan as well. The proportions were also very generous. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was that there was no music when we were in there.

This is my first time in this restaurant and food is unbelievable. The service is really the top notch and they treated like own family. Moreover the food is delicious and LUNCH BUFFET was really special with 20 dishes in it and I had papri chat and Mango custard first time and they are awesome The chef treated us well and explained how they make these dishes. So I recorded everything and posted it in website. I recommend this place for every one come and try for sure.

So the first two times I went the food was amazing! I'm from out of town and have made it a point to come every time I am in town. The last THREE times I have gone, they have been closed when their hours said they should be open. Once, several assumed workers were seated inside having a meeting, saw me at the door and didn't respond in any way. Now there is no phone number listed anymore. So are they closed now? If so, they should let people know that. If not, they should clearly communicate their new hours.
