I've been here a few times now. My original review plus follow up are below. The menu feels smaller than it a when we first started going. I've had some great bakery items and some mediocre. It's really a guess as to what's going to great, but if you hit the right one it's a great reward. The pumpkin loaf was fantastic. 5 stars The citrus cake flavor was good but our slice was dry. 3.5 stars The frittata was very good. 5 stars. Good sized portion and the salad was nice on the side. Update: Returned today. Had the toastie again, same result. Saw someone else post about it raving about it and was wondering if maybe I was missing something, but it remains a 4 (which is still good but just wasn't where I thought it was going to go and my previous review remains correct from my point of view) The farro salad I give a 5 star. It was nice, light and something I don't see often. I could have this all the time. Their yogurt parfait i give a 4.5 star. Very solid offering. Everything is balanced. The portion is small, but it's a delicious light option. Below is the recipe from the first visit A beautiful bright and airy restaurant to have brunch at, though they also serve dinner which we need to try next. Chai 4 stars - you must really love Cinnamon. We felt like it was a bit overly poured on but you can probably ask for less in the future if you think its too much of a garnish. Toastie 4 stars It's their breakfast sandwich, I loved all the different components I just felt it wasn't balanced for bread to filling ratio. Blueberry sourdough pancakes 3.75 stars They were decent but for myself, I just didn't prefer the sourdough part of it. If you like sour pancakes though this might be for you. Eggs polenta 5 star I really enjoyed the flavor combination on this dish. It's not a very filling dish, but for myself it's the perfect portions since I don't eat that much. If you're a bigger eater you might need something else to go with it. They have different baked goods. You can go up to the counter and it's around the corner on your right. Lots of cafes have water that you go up and get yourself.... here they will bring you a carafe to your table. Parking is available in the back, they have doors from the back to go into the restaurant, but one of the side doors is an exit only.

Excellent!! We love Lola’s. Good food, good ambience. Call ahead for busier times of day. Coffee and breakfast are wonderful. We have also enjoyed the vegetarian charcuterie and the dinner fare. Multiple vegan and vegetarian options, a good spot for plant-based eats. Will be back!

We wanted to try some new place for brunch and this place was among top rated brunch restaurants. It’s inside Dundee theater with a nice setup. We loved the ambience and art work. There was plenty of space inside. Customer is required to wear mask during the interaction at the reception. We ordered eggie, toastie and hummus along with two lattes. Food was delicious and fulfilling. Service was fast. Definitely worth a visit.

A hit or a miss-- sometimes fantastic service and food other times I'm surprised they're so recommended. For example today I ordered 2 chais to go that came out lukewarm, barely spiced, and 3/4 full. I didn't realize until a few minutes after I left. Picture is before I drank anything (about an 1-1.5 inches below the lip) PS. They vegan and allergy friendly options are extremely lacking as well.

The space is neat and well laid out for a cafe/remote work space. Service was average, neither overly great nor deeply disappointing. The coffee is a solid 4.5 stars. The latte and cortado were delicious and started the meal on a high note. Unfortunately, the headstart provided by the coffee vanished as soon as the food arrived. The quiche was overly salted to the point it wasn't entirely edible. Not only that, but the side of arugula salad was overdressed and underseasoned. Neither item was finished. The rosemary ham sandwich was a battle to make it through. The cheese was low quality, the ham was barely there, the arugula was present but mixed with wilted or liquefied pieces, and the bread tested the strength of my teeth. I like a good chew in ciabatta, but it was rough. But even with all that, there's potential for a good sandwich. Except the amount of dijon mustard on the sandwich overpowered any hopes of tasting anything but the stinging spice in my mouth and nasal cavity. The chips on the side were just plain potato chips like any grocery store would carry. All said, I won't be back as there are other coffee shops with equally as good coffee, and the food wasn't good enough to finish despite the high cost.

Amazing food, epic quality, craft coffee beverages and pastry. I honestly did not feel like I was in Omaha, NE being here. Fantastic service and food. I highly recommend.

Loved the restaurant setting. My wife and I were seeing a movie at the Dundee Theatre after so we decided to go to Lola. The charcuterie board & bread we’re very good. My wife got the chicken which was phenomenal. I got the lemon pasta & it was the first time I can remember that I couldn’t finish my meal. Maybe it was just my taste buds but I thought something about the pasta was unbearable. But sometimes you order the wrong thing which isn’t a big deal. What I’ll say that was truly disappointing is the service. Our waitress was extremely rude. We asked for a couple more minutes to order at 6:05 and she avoided us until 6:30 when my wife asked if we could order. My wife said “Hey I think we’re ready to order now,” after we had waited so long. The waitress responded with a very passive aggressive “Give me a second,” before taking her sweet time to get over for us to order. She didn’t say a word, stared at her note pad, & looked annoyed we wanted to order food. If you want a place with service members who care about you, and it doesn’t come with a rude sense of entitlement, choose somewhere else. I would recommend to anyone I know not to eat here. Caring about your customers goes a long way, I hope Lola can change that, because they have a long way to go.

Really loved this place. I am not vegan but I ordered vegan food here because the vegan options looked so good. Man we’re they amazing. Sweet potato appetizer was unreal. Cauliflower entree was completely devoured. Lot’s of delicious bread and nice drinks. The owners checked on us and even sent over a complementary dessert. The cake was great too.

One more cafe visit for me in Omaha. Their espresso machine was not working so was a but disappointed to not have a coffee. I took the tomato and leek soup. It was great in taste and very soothing in this cold winter. The bread was soft and tasted nice. The service was quick and up to the mark. I was greeted very well at the counter. The ambience is nice and have the entrance for the theatre as well. Place is very quiet. I surely want to go to the place again to try some coffee and food.

The care of the kitchen using real butter & olive oil is five stars alone but the taste of the food & peaceful atmosphere made it ten stars.

First time having Lola’s brunch in Dundee, and it was fantastic! I got the spinach and goat cheese frittata with a side of fruit, a cortado (espresso with milk foam) and split the yogurt parfait. Others got the “toastie” breakfast sandwich, banana bread, and brioche with jam. Our service was incredible! We were a party of 4 and seated right away. Our waitress was friendly and on top of it, and our food came out quickly. All of the food we would get again. The banana bread was awesome - $3 for a 3” thick slice! And even my 7-year-old couldn’t stop eating my spinach and goat cheese frittata! Plus the vibe inside is fantastic. Jazz music and full of lush green plants. Definitely not the last time we’ll stop by here for brunch! They’re not on Facebook but they’re on Instagram @lolasomaha.

I’ve always seen Lola’s but I’ve finally had a chance to experience it, and it did not disappoint. The tagline here is simple, beautiful food and they absolutely delivered. The Speck sandwich was rich, creamy and delicious and the chai was slightly sweet and spiced with love. This unique cafe is elevated yet inviting; it took too long for me to get here, but I’ll be more than glad to hurry back ☕️

Lola serves organic food, high-quality food, I would say for future references to expand your menu, if there were any meats options also. Please please please serve your soup with garbanzo beans 24/7 I love.

Atmosphere was nice, calm and warm place! I had vanilla latte, it was so good and I recommend it. If you’re getting food, I would ask them to bring the coffee with the food because they take a while to make the food, which makes sense because it was so fresh!! I ordered the egg and toast, it came with a side of salad, potatoes, butter, and jam. It was soooo good and tasty, but not warm enough. Definitely gonna come back!

Best vanilla latte I've ever had. The foam was so thick and delicious. Great place- wish they had more space to accommodate more people as it is very popular and becomes crowded quickly.

Lola's Cafe provides a modern atmosphere with a professional vibe, making it an ideal spot for a brunch or a casual lunch. The menu offers a limited variety of pork, vegetarian, and egg options for health-conscious and the not-so-health-conscious individuals. 😉 The café offers a variety of pastries, and if you are looking to try a particular pastry, it is recommended to call ahead to see when it is available. The café also has a range of coffee and other beverages to choose from, which is great for coffee lovers. The bright and open interior of the café creates a welcoming ambiance, and the friendly wait staff adds to the inviting atmosphere. In conclusion, Lola's Cafe is a great place to go if you're searching for a modern and relaxed vibe, delicious food, and excellent service.

Love a light refreshing lunch or brunch at Lola’s! I usually get the Butternut sandwich or the Lola’s breakfast- both are delicious. You really can’t go wrong, all the sandwiches are great!

The place is cool and active. We ordered lentil vegetable soup. We like the lentils in the soup to be fully cooked and not chewy. But the soup itself was really good. There were no smoothies, and my daughter loves smoothies.

The food and drinks are chefs kiss. Staff is friendly and love the atmosphere. It’s inside the Dundee film streams theater and there’s free parking around back. Luckily we visited on a nice fall day and enjoyed our meal on the outdoor patio. When I’m back in town for work, I will hit it up. My vegan potato kale soup and quinoa salad were excellent.
