My wife and I did not have a great experience the first one we visited Saffron. We were contacted by one of the owners and they had apologized for our experience. Since then we have come back to give the restaurant another chance. This visit was hands down better than the first. The restaurant was not as busy this time around and we did not make reservations like our first visit. The waitress was very pleasant and friendly! She offered good advice and recommendations as well. The food was delicious, which is what we were hoping for! The naan was so light and airy, so delicious. And the cilantro minty sauce that came with the naan and was to die for!!! I would definitely recommend giving Saffron a try. The food and drinks are awesome and I do not feel you will be disappointed!

10/10 - this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to in Omaha. The interior is gorgeous, the ambiance is so relaxing and the food was incredible. Omaha needed this fine dining experience. We ordered the stuffed naan (and ate it so fast, forgot to photograph), garlic naan to go with dinner, lamb, and chicken masala. The flavors and the quality - wow! I enjoyed a glass of red wine and my husband ordered an old fashioned. I highly recommend trying Saffron out!

Our first experience at Saffron was positive. The drinks were very good and came out quickly, the naan and dipping sauce as well. The presentation of the entrees was very appealing, the portions were good and everything tasted great too. Our meal was $100 all-in for two people, so it was a little pricey, but what do you expect at a new place in Aksarben Village? We will do it again.

Stumbled on this place after the Sushi restaurant we planned to go to was closed without warning. Amazing Sunday lunch experience from start to finish. In the Top 3 Indian restaurants in Omaha for me. Our son is very picky about food and we convinced him the chicken naan was a silly pizza...he loved it. Most surprising was the delicious mint chutney. Husband loved the bottomless chai tea, he ate the lamb korma. I had the shrimp bhuna and we grabbed the chicken tikka in case the "pizza" was a fail. Each dish was fantastic and full of flavor with excellent lunch portions. We were stuffed. (I can assume) the owner frequently stopped at our table and was very accommodating to our 4 year old, even found him some milk to drink. It was such a welcoming experience today, my only wish is we lived closer to visit more frequently!

Stopped in on a whim to Saffron Urban Indian Kitchen and they knocking it out of the park! We lucked out and got there for happy hour to enjoyed a great cocktail (and a moctail for my pregnant wife) and some delicious Naan and Samosas. The two sauces they came with were simply fantastic. The Lamb Madrasi we ordered was phenominal! It was so tender it fell apart with a fork and the coconut sauce it was in was fantastic! 10/10 will definitely be back soon!

The crab cakes and spinach artichoke naan were great starters. For dinner I had Salmon Madrasi and my friend had Tandori Half Chicken. Both our meals were great. The portions are generous and neither could finish our dinners, especially after the appetizers, but they were hard to pass up and we really wanted to try a few things! I haven't tried a lot of Indian food, but I really enjoyed the food here. It was rich and full of different spices and flavor.

Been here for dinner. The waiter was friendly and did good service. I felt like prices are expensive for the food items available here. We loved the Reshmi Kabob it’s awesome and Chicken cheese Naan too. They do have cocktails. But I wouldn’t say this is best place for Indian food.

We love Indian food and last was our first time dining at Saffron. I think the food is best described as “elevated Indian” cuisine. Every single appetizer and meal that was prepared for our group was delicious, fresh, and next level as far as the presentation and flavor. We also loved the atmosphere. The modern, yet sophisticated style is worth noting for a overall great dining experience. We will absolutely be back again!

Would highly recommend the artichoke nann. Else thing else is wonderful too. Very bold and balanced spices from all its main courses especially the vegetarian ones.

Truly found one of my new favorite restaurants in Omaha. The ambiance is very calm, inviting and trendy. The service was very kind, charismatic, and open to questions: they gave my boyfriend and I great recommendations. We started with craft cocktails and the beef samosas. This was followed by a chicken entree, which we split, and an order of the garlic naan bread. This was the perfect amount for two people. Every bite was so delicious and full of the perfect amount of flavor. Such a yummy and comforting meal. Great vibe, great service and great food! Check out Saffron for delicious Indian food!!

Initially we were just walking in for a cocktail and an appetizer so we could walk to another establishment for dinner. (We don’t get to this area a lot so we wanted to dine and explore.) We ordered the Vegetable and Beef Samosas (not pictured). These veggie puff pastries were stuffed with red potato, and the beef ones with ground beef, and sweet peas. Both served with tamarind and mint chutney. The description on the menu doesn’t explain the absolutely incredible flavor bomb that these are. We knew immediately we had to stay. So for dinner I ordered the Lamb Madrasi and the hubs ordered the Tandori Half Chicken. We also tried the Chicken Chili. ALL AMAZING. So much flavor. I will be dreaming of the Lamb Madrasi and could literally just put that sauce on everything…and I’d feel zero guilt about it. The Tandori Chicken with the Tandori and Tikka Sauce….incredible. I don’t know if I opened my eyes while chewing. I was in my own little world. The power of food, when done right, is just incredible. True joy. Warms the soul. Just enjoyed every single bite. The Chicken Chili - this is an incredible dish. While we know Americanized Chinese (think sweet and sour chicken) this is an Indo-Chinese Take. It’s a little sweet, a little spicy, with the perfect amount of salt. It’s balanced. It’s beautiful. This experience overall was incredible. But the best part was meeting the owners. These wonderful people are working to make this food FRESH. I respect that, for obvious reasons. You can taste the dedication to the integrity of food by the ways in which they honor the ingredients. And our server, she was the sweetest. Incredible! If you haven’t tried them, you should. 🖤

Everything about this place is amazing! Especially the food, but also the service and the dining room. I ate here yesterday and loved it so much that my wife and I drove an hour to eat here again. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Nebraska and one of my favorite restaurants, EVER. If you have not tried this place, you should make time for it. Good restaurants like this deserve your support. And you deserve these good eats.

What an utterly delightful experience. The food could stand alone, it was perfection in every way. We had the garlic naan, chicken korma, and chicken masala and it was incredible. Balanced, hot, fresh, clearly made to order. But, the restaurant itself is also beautiful, and the atmosphere is clean and romantic. I highly recommend Saffron for a date night. My only suggestion on ordering is that if you want your meal to have spice/heat I would recommend asking for it be extra spicy.

Dining at Saffron was an amazing experience! I’m not well versed with Indian food, but luckily I had someone with me who was. It was graduation weekend, so it was very busy. That didn’t slow down the service. The food was amazing, as was the atmosphere. One thing I did learn is that when it says that the food is spicy, they’re not joking. That being said, the flavors were so amazing! I would definitely recommend dining here! We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

My favorite restaurant in Omaha! I go as often as I can! Service is freat and the food is exquisite! I highly recommend the Palak Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, Samosas, and Garlic Naan. Their cocktails are also wonderful. My fiance and I have spent birthdays, anniversaries, valentine's day, and more here. Wonderful place!

Wonderful all round experience. As lover of Indian food, this is a true gem of Omaha. The atmosphere, flavor, and staff were all wonderful. Tried many options in a family style dining experience and didn’t have a single dish I wouldn’t recommend. Found the lamb korma particularly delicious. Fantastic, I will be back.

I loved saffron! I’m not well experienced in Indian cuisine but this was a fantastic experience. My servers were very friendly and helped me find something I would like. I had the chicken Tikki naan and lamb Korma on their lunch special and it did not disappoint. I had their chai to drink and it tasted great! I’d have to say the lamb Korma stood out the most to me! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting with so much greenery it’s awesome. I had the Rasmalai for dessert and it was a sweet dessert I’d relate it to 3 leches, it was also so so good. I highly reccomend for someone who hasn’t tried Indian food yet, this was a pleasant experience! I would come again!

My wife and I had an amazing experience during our anniversary dinner. Saffron provided elevated takes on Indian staple dishes, as well as presenting completely unique items. Many things on the menu had familiar names, but all had a high level of attention to detail and were unlike anything we have ever tasted. Each dish was incredibly flavorful, with fresh spices and ingredients plentiful. It is clear that every aspect of the dining experience was intentional and designed to elevate the meal, even down to the side salad and soup. The service was excellent, and we were checked on regularly. The intentionality of the restaurant also translates into their fantastic drink program and the overall ambiance of the space. We started with the beef samosa and spinach artichoke naan (and I cannot stop thinking about that naan). Our main courses were the Lamb Vindaloo and Madrasi Tofu. We finished with an order of assorted Kulfi (ice cream), including pistachio and mango.

Very disappointed in Saffron. Maybe we just went on an off day. Ordered the spinach and artichoke naan, and it was all doughy, they sent us a new one which was cooked a little bit better. The lamb vindaloo we ordered as spicy as possible and were left searching for spice. There are much better Indian places in town with more complex flavors at a better price.
