👍👍 Went in and so many friendly people. One man wanted to show me how to work with glass because I told him I was interested in it. I bought on of his let glass frogs. This is an awesome place to visit in Omaha. Definitely a place to go just for fun and watch people create masterpieces. I can’t wait to... People often mention artists, glass, great, Omaha, cool,

Very Cool! Completely inspiring. Off the beaten path. Old school architecture that you don’t see everyday.

Beautiful glass art and great people. Very interesting way of making decorative pieces with a torch as well. My wife got me a class with Vickie and it was very interesting, i had a blast learning how it all came together. Thank you for the opportunity, highly recommend if ever in Omaha

Wow! It's like an art museum, art show, art sale and art studio all in one. There is such a variety of artwork going on and a delightful eyeful of art everywhere we looked. The people are inviting and friendly showing off their work while creating more. We talked to a variety of artists and had a fun time wandering 3 floors of interesting art.

Very neat display of multimedia arts and different forms. Fun to meander through though we only made the 1st floor. The glass shop was phenomenal and Vicki was super helpful and fun to talk to.

Amazing spot to see artists create, and view words of art for sale. Three floors of great art. My wife and I took a glass blowing class.

The talent in this building is unmatched. There are so many things to see. It’s a must visit. The blown glass gets lots of attention. Don’t pass up an open bay. You may get a glimpse of some amazing wooden carved sculptors, photography, paintings, and so much more. Bring your wallet, as you’ll want to take some of these gems home, to call them your own!

First time here, lovely place, love all the different art and artists. My son found items to give the grandparents for Christmas and I found earrings. Really liked the different demonstrations from different artists.

First rate place! Here you'll find all sorts of amazing gift ideas, home accessories, and other fascinating things. All made by the resident artists. If you appreciate hand made, artistic creations, this is where you need to be!

My wife and I did the Glassblowing Workshop for Two and were blown away (pun intended)! Samuel was our instructor and he was absolutely great. He was easy to talk to, you could ask him questions, and most importantly he let us actually do a lot. He allowed us, within reason of course, to do as much of the work as we were comfortable with which was amazing. We each made a paperweight, and my wife made a vase while I made a bowl. I would definitely recommend going to Hot Shops (Crystal Forge, to be precise) to have some fun and come away with something really cool and unique. I'll definitely be scheduling something with Samuel in the future.

Great spot to see some unique items and talk to artists as they create. We stopped in here as part of the Nebraska Passport program and I'm so glad we went in. They were blowing glass when we walked in which was pretty cool. We wandered through the building seeing the various types of art work and we spoke to several of the artists as they were working. Not all of the shops were open which was kind of a drag but overall this is a really cool place to stop if you're in the area.

Very cool spot in Omaha! I went on a weekday afternoon and it was basically empty. I chatted with one artist upstairs who was super friendly and great at her craft. The staff in front were friendly. Plenty of things to look at and buy if you so choose. Though as I was just visiting my suitcase was full. I’d say it’s walkable to downtown maybe 15 mins and right near that stadium. Definitely worth a visit and support local artists!!!

It was terrific! So many talented artists and wonderful displays. Musicians playing great music throughout and the food provided was fresh and delicious. I can't wait to go again and I'm going to try glass blowing! The Hot Shops is a real Omaha treasure.

We had a great time. We were running a little late due to traffic, and they were very understanding. Vickie was a fantastic teacher, and a talented craftsman. She even went out of her way to help me make a second project because she wasn't satisfied with our first attempt. Very dedicated to her craft. We will definitely be back.

This is a favorite spot to visit whenever I'm in Omaha. Studios are often open on weekends, and it's cool to see the artists in action. Keep your eye out for events and classes. Parking is also a breeze compared to the Old Market.

Took a glass torching class today there with tom! He was so nice and very encouraging and patient with me. I had such a fun time learning about glass working. At the end i locked my keys inside and he called someone named matt to help and even walked me to my car. Very sweet, above and beyond. A very human moment.

I'm nearing the end of my four-week Pottery: Beginning Throwing course with Rob Johnson, and I can't wait to keep practicing beyond my class! Our instructor has done a wonderful job of letting us get comfortable with a new medium while providing necessary feedback and detailed explanations in a kind, knowledgeable way. I was worried the class might be too overwhelming or overstimulating for me, but the studio isn't overly lit with florescent lights, and we get a lot of quiet time to focus. I'll be even more obsessed with Hot Shops once they, hopefully, get enough funds raised for an elevator. I'm beyond satisfied with my experience, and I can't wait to get signed up for independent study!
