Such a cool place doing great things for artists, the neighborhood, and the community. Go check it out! They offer classes and host cool events. They will have a new theater space opening in a couple years.

I just spent a very enjoyable morning with my kids at the Union. They have a lot of great art supplies, collage materials, markers and really nice, helpful staff to kind of show younger kids some of the ways they can make part. I think it was a great time and we will definitely be back

I love that this gallery is free. It's a wonderful and important place for art in the same context.

I discovered this place entirely by chance. I saw a flyer at my local library for a free produce stand on Saturdays. That led to a rabbit hole of investigation and discovery of a truly stunning building with so many ties to the community.

Very helpful and friendly staff, I was helped through getting my first print well printed from scan to completion and then shown how some of the other software works in a way that was very open and positive approach.

The Union for Contemporary Art is in the newly renovated Blue Lion Center at 24th and Lake Streets, considered by locals to be the heart of North Omaha. This organization works to connect art and community to inspire social change in Omaha. Art is a tool that can help people express themselves, tell their stories, and envision the future. The Union has a public art gallery, co-op art studios, performing arts space, and community garden. They're open Tuesday through Saturday, 11-6pm!

The space and programming is massively impressive. And little known fact: they are really great about recycling, composting, and using their finished compost to grow more food on-site and share freely with the community.

Incredible arts organization which does essential community engagement, artist promotion, and artist education. They partner with community gardens in addition to having their own. I've been to their exhibit "Redesign the Redline" 3 times. Excellent.

The UCA is a fantastic place for art and artists. Great shows. Great sense of community, they really give back. Check out their garden or contribute a plant or two. Decent offstreet parking.

Lovely contemporary art space. In between exhibitions when I visited, but I was given a great tour of the space. Wonderfully friendly staff. Wonderful facilities for artists, including a residency programme. Lovely big space, deceptive from the outside and with a community garden out back. The redevelopment of the building is still underway and has been done to a high standard so far.

A wonderful facility and location for artists and community members who appreciate art. Memberships are available for very reasonable prices that give you access to amazing facilities and resources including a ceramics kilns, computers, etc.
