This location has vegan cheese now! Got an onion and green pepper pizza with buffalo sauce (all vegan) and the cheese was melty and the whole thing was delicious. They have a veggie pizza that you can easily swap out the cheese or build your own pizza. Super chill and fun atmosphere with games and cool bartenders. Lots of good rotating beers and ciders. Gluten free crust and ciders too for people avoiding eating gluten.

Food was quick and excellent. Many drink options on tap. Fun environment with games at the table for entertainment.

This place was amazing! After watching a movie at the Askarben Cinema. They had the advertisement after the movie and the pizza looked so good! Well the advertisement is what took me to the Taphouse. We sat outside to enjoy the marvelous Detroit pizza! The fries were the perfect crisp and flavor. I will Definitely patron this place over and over again! It’s a family owned business no franchised!

Backlot Taphouse was a delightful experience! The chicken pizza I had was absolutely fantastic, and the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant added to the charm. The only reason I can't vouch for all their dishes is that I couldn't resist ordering more of their mouthwatering pizza. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try!

Macaroni and cheese pizza was a new experience but amazing! Caesar salad was good! Great selection of beer on tap.

Delicious stuff! The fries are killer. The pizza is awesome, I’m so glad I found out Omaha has Detroit style pizza! If you haven’t tried it, you need to.

OG Fries were great but would get the Boom Boom sauce on the side for the non spicy lovers. BBQ Bourbon pizza was OK but the Original pizza was way better! The sauce on it was tasty and the Detroit style crust was amazing!

What stands out for this pizzeria is the long rectangular wooden tables, and you order food and your drink at the bar which is where customers pay. I was greeted after I entered the pizzeria. I was very happy drinking Coca Cola because Coca Cola is my favorite soda. I enjoyed eating the Detroit classic which is double pepperoni and classic red sauce. The Detroit style pizza is a unique delicious pizza because it’s a crunchy pizza, the thick squared style pizza is why 4 slices did fill me up. The crispy caramelized cheese crust has a satisfying cheesy flavor, also delicious is the sweet classic red sauce. The pepperonis have a strong flavor. All reasons why I say the Detroit classic is a delicious pizza.

So starting with the entry to the place is confusing, you have to enter with the outdoor seating gate and usually it’s not the case with other places. The ambience looks okay, not sure is it a sports bar or not. The stars go for the beer, thus have a good collection of beer, I had a German wheat beer and a Pilsner, they both were good. The food is only pizzas and salad. So good options are less but if you enjoy pizza, they have good variety. I can say it is a cool place to hangout with friends where you can have beer and eat pizza. The outdoor sitting also adds to the good things about the place.

This place is great if you like pan style pizza or beer batter fries or good beers/cocktails, great music, baller conversation, wonderful people or basically everything awesome! I started as a customer and loved it so much I started part timing :) sometimes when you work somewhere and see behind the curtain, the magic is lost, but that isn't true here! Every employee is great and the customers have been nothing short of amazing.

It was really good food wise! The food was pretty good and filling. The service wasn’t bad, but they weren’t very good at customer service either. I can tell they are somewhat new i think, they don’t welcome you when you walk in, and you have to be the first to say anything. They were nice although!

Loved this spot, didn't get to try much food but the bite of my friends pizza was good. There's a decent variety too. Drinks were great and there's a good selection of local beers to try. They have benches which made fitting a large group easy. They also had some fun board games you could play and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Recommend if you're looking for a chill spot for a larger group of friends to hang out at. Also looks good as a lunch or dinner spot if you're in the area. Probably the best bar option in aksarben.

Had a great experience! Loved the drum circle that came in and gave us a little show. The bartenders were awesome. And the pizza! Jalapeño popper pizza is sooo good.

I liked the whole experience. You order at the bar and then sit anywhere. There are many games to play which is nice to have options. Plenty of tvs around to watch sports. The food was good. Pizza is like Little Caesars deep dish (which is Detroit style). The wings come in bunches of 7 or 8 I think and are very saucy! Good mix of beers to choose from. Very laid back and great bar games to play. It was a busier than expected night for them, and our bartender seemed a bit overwhelmed with the long line. She was very nice and helpful, got our orders correct and our drinks fast. The food came out quickly, and hot and was so good. The crust and the beer cheese are all very rich. Our table wants to give a shout out to RJ who shared with us that he is normally in the kitchen. He was so great with our son, very attentive at helping us and others that ordered food, and made sure to check in on us, bringing plates and napkins and boxes etc throughout the evening. We were so impressed with your serving skills, and hope you have more chances to be in the front of house.

First time here... definitely won't be the last! Everything was fantastic! The place is really chill, great atmosphere, super kind and helpful staff. But the food? OMG, the pizza! To die for! Definitely going back.

Backlot never disappoints. Great selection of beer and bar cider! Bartenders are always attentive and their food menu has some great appetizers for sharing during the happy hours!

The fries are amazing I can eat 2 bowls I order the Cadillac pizza I think but I didn't enjoy it cause it was sweet if look like sweet pizza then you might like it. But I will definitely go back for the fries and try another pizza.

Saw an article for the best loaded fries in each state and Backlot took the spot for Nebraska. We drove from Kansas and stopped in to see the bartender Johnny and server/cook Angel with great customer service and smiles. Not only were the fries good, but the salad was fresh and the pizza was delicious. The menu was written with a good sense of humor and the games they had laying around were perfect choices with all the pieces in the boxes. Would love to come back sometime!

Great selection of beer and ciders. Pizza is definitely awesome enough to make the trip for that alone. Don't sleep on the pretzels and beer cheese dip though. Service is simple and quick. Good place to have a few with some friends.

The pizza was great! We also had the blue cheese and buffalo fries, which were amazing! The food arrived quickly. Our server took great care of us. We will definitely be back!

We had a couple drinks and thw yakuza fries. It was right after a concert and was pretty busy. My husband liked his beer, the margarita was ok. The fries came out quickly, and were awesome!

Backlot has the best Detroit style that I've had in the Omaha area! If you're a fan of pepperoni, you won't be disappointed with this place's version. The crispy edges and flavorful sauce make for a delicious combination. And if you're feeling more adventurous, there are plenty of other topping options to choose from.

Our first time here so we order a few pizzas… Bourbon BBQ Chicken, Detroit , and the combo… my favorite the bourbon bbq was delicious… and the rest of my family enjoyed all of the toppings… The variety of beers was great!!! We will definitely going to be back!

I enjoy the pizza here. Detroit style so it's a thick crust with the sauce on top, similar to a Chicago deep dish, but definitely a different thing all together. Ordering at the bar is fine, but when it's crowded it can be a little chaotic trying to put in your drink and food order. The pizza comes "personal" sized, but it's really enough for 2 people because of how thick it is. If you can muscle down a whole one yourself in one sitting you'll probably regret it later. Overall it's a great place to grab a quick beer, get some nice deep dish pizza, and play some table-top games while you wait for your food.

This was our first visit and definitely won't be the last! Great variety of beers (including a couple ciders and fruit beers), pizza and sides were delicious. Service was fast. Kids loved the table games :)

Great deep dish pizza. Friendly staff. I'm not a beer drinker but if you are they have alot of really great (and many local) beers on tap.

The Detroit Pepperoni Pizza is rectangle deep dish with 4 pieces that I usually eat by my self. The cheese that chars on the side of the pan is so good. They have a great tap beer selection from brewers around the area. There is bar seating, high tops, and communal large picnic style tables. They have games out on the tables to play and multiple tvs. This is a great place to stop with the family before going to the movies next door. There is a parking garage behind it for convenient free parking. The staff are great. Joe is awesome.
