A must try for the oyster bar and seafood. Amazing wait staff, Cory was above and beyond for his exemplary service and attitude. The food was on point. From the mussels to the alligator, then the main courses of blackened tuna and blackened scallops, to the oyster shot, old fashioned and the strawberry surfer drinks. Even the kids loved their fried shrimp and chicken strips. Everything was so dang good!!!

Had to try a seafood restaurant in Nebraska, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The restaurant is large and the ambiance was really nice. The food was really good and there were many seafood options to choose. The only issue I had was that portion sizes were small for the price. That maybe because the cost is higher to ship fresh seafood to Nebraska. If you are a seafood lover and in Omaha I highly recommend stopping. If I could give a 4.5 I would.

Plank Seafood Provisions is a really nice restaurant with very comforting ambience. The food was great and it was exactly as you would expect from a nice seafood restaurant. The customer service was average and that’s why the rating is 4 stars out of 5 for this review. Overall, good experience and we recommend this place in Old Market area.

This is our second time here and if you like seafood this is a must when you are in Omaha. The salmon crudo was delicious! We had it with some saltine crackers. Oysters are in point as well.

This place just has all the great things going on! We ordered the calamari, the fish tacos, hush puppies w/ jalapeño jam, and the oysters. I don’t like oysters at all, but the funky oysters were incredibly smooth and went down easily! The hush puppies were phenomenal, they were moist and had a ton of flavor, though simple ingredients were used. The fish taco had this amazing slaw on top that brought out all the freight flavors you want in fish, and it wasn’t at all fishy! 10/10 would recommend this place

Since I've moved to the Midwest, I've been missing seafood. This hit the spot! I love the variety of seafood options, and the oysters were delicious. The atmosphere is really cool, the decor makes you feel like you are on a boat. I got the grilled snapper, and it was perfect. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Slightly disappointed. Been coming here for years and the food has always been next level. Unfortunately this past experience wasn’t so great. The Lemon & Herd Tagliatelle Pasta was bland and unappetizing, really unfortunate given it was $28. The oysters were extremely small and weren’t worth the price, although the presentation was great. The fish tacos as well just don’t taste right and the combination of flavors don’t go together. Just disappointed with the food this time around and I wish they never changed their menu. I miss the lobster roll, it was the best thing on the menu and had me coming back for more! I hope the lobster roll makes its way back around to the menu again, if it does I’ll come back!

We had a fantastic early dinner before a concert. All day happy hour on Sundays was a bonus! Oysters and beignets for appetizers were great, and we loved our scallops and salmon entrees. Cocktails were good as well.

This is our third time here (lunch, group dinner, & happy hour) and it is highly recommend! We went right at the beginning of happy hour today and ordered oysters, the smoked muscles, and the smoked fish spread. The bartender was personable and great conversationalist! For drinks we had the house Chardonnay, Plank’s Mule, cucumber collins, port old fashion, and two drinks of “dealers choice” from the bartender. All were amazing

Modern, hip downtown restaurant with great food. The shrimp toast was outstanding and different. Fresh oysters were on everyone's list. 1/2 price during Happy Hour! Beer selection a bit domestic but the Anchor Steam Ale from San Francisco worked well with the seafood.

Absolutely loved this place. Probably the best seafood in Midwest. Excellent flavors, great, friendly service and very chill ambiance. No one is rushing you, just sit and enjoy. Definitely recommend to try all fresh oysters and banana bread pudding 🤤

Looks like I've been on a roll lately. Two places in a row gets 5 stars all around. First time eating here and I'm glad we did. It's in a great area in walking distance to many other restaurants and small stores. We even passed a guy playing jazz on a sax as we walked to the restaurant. I love that type of atmosphere. We felt very comfortable once we got inside. The windows everywhere gives the place an energetic yet serene vibe. Our server was amazing and made us feel very welcomed. She made sure that we were satisfied with all of our needs. Very professional and courteous. I'm very bad at remembering names but she was the best. Everything we ordered was top notch delicious. The smoked fish dip and crackers with pickled red onion was foreign to my taste buds and very flavorful. I don't care for onions but these were very good. I ordered the blackened catfish and my wife ordered the Atlantic salmon. Our two sides were roasted potatoes and charred broccolini. For dessert I had banana bread pudding with caramelized bananas and ice cream and my wife had something that was chocolate on chocolate with peanut butter. She said it was very sweet. My dessert was perfect and went great with my rooibos vanilla tea. Everything was great. No complaints.

This is my first time dining in at Plank. It was a pleasant experience. The staff was kind and attentive. The food was fast and hot. The yellowfin tuna sliders were wonderful. The french fries on the side were good. Nothing really to write home about. A great place for lunch.

Always love going to Plank when I’m in Omaha! The oysters are always fresh, the service is always great and the drinks are great. This time was no different. I even made it in time for happy hour! Bonus! Highly recommend stopping in if your in the area, you won’t be disappointed.

Aug 7, 2020. I’m a seafood lover so of course it was at the tip of my list of places to try when I visited the area this weekend. My husband and I sat at the bar and were immediately greeted. We ordered some craft beers and appetizers. The recommendations were mahi fish tacos, alligator, hush puppies, calamari and oyster sampler (walk the plank). We ended up getting them all!🤣 My husband raved about the alligator! We both loved all of the food though. This is a place I would go out of my way to eat at. The flavor is fantastic, the batter isn’t overdone or too thick, the sauces and dips are paired nicely, and everything is fresh! We loved this visit and hope to be back next time we are in Nebraska.

Great ambiance. Great service (thank you Wylie!). I have been on a quest to find the best shrimp and grits ( I try the dish wherever I go). I struggle to say these are "The Best" shrimp and grits, but these are definitely top two. Creamy grits with char grilled shrimp...with a mild green pepper aoli and a tomato based sauce...wow, wow, wow...original flavor combination...I will be back for this dish!!!

This is a nice seafood restaurant with lots of room to sit and a friendly staff. The only reason I am giving a four star is because I felt the food choices are slightly limited which maybe intentional. I'd like to go here more often though the options aren't convincing. Though the food tastes great. Servers would help you pick an item from menu and they'd even be willing to adjust the food to suit your preference. You may feel you are being rushed a little bit to get more customers in. And yes, the food is served quickly.

The best experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We had been treated like royalty. I booked through open table for new years eve. And messaged back and forth as it was my first new years with my girlfriend and very nervous i just wanted it "magical" as I asked them if they can do anything special. We got our seat at 545pm and our waiter (will edit once i remember his name) got us 2 glasses of champagne and ran down all the features. We started with shrimp toast (must try it)!! which was delicious and paired well with my NA beer. Plate was quickly removed as well. Our main dish came out with a glass of wine for my girlfriend. Waiter even explained the wine pairing as well as dish details. The walleye and bacon shrimp had been fantastic. (I could have ate two servings of each haha) Right as we thought our experience was winding down. A very nice woman came by with a dessert and a small glass of wine that paired exquisitely with the chocolate and peanut butter desert. Very unexpected. The manger or owner even came by to chat. I have to say I didnt know what to expect with our first visit however I am beyond words for how fantastic they made our first new year's together. Honestly thank you guys so much. I will gladly share more if any one has questions including plank :)

We had reservations and ordered from the dinner and Happy Hour menu. We were served by two servers named Arianna who were great and attentive to if we needed anything more. Hadn't gone back to Plank since the pandemic started until now. They did not disappoint! Hope to go back soon again.

December 28th 2021.. We decided to back for a second dining experience and what a difference a night makes!!! We had two guests from out of town and while we could have gone anywhere, we decided to give The Plank another try!! Tonight I gave The Plank an easy 5 Star dinner. We had reservations at 7 and were seated promptly despite the restaurant being VERY busy!! Our server for the evening was AJ and we couldn't have asked for a better server. He was prompt and attentive, offered great recommendations, yet he was not overly attentive if that makes sense!! We had the calamari, mussels, shrimp and grits and lobster fries for appetizers!! Each was amazing! The calamari was perfectly breaded and contained easily enough for two people. The shrimp and grits had perfectly grilled shrimp on top of a nice bed of grits. The lobster fries were amazing and included huge chunks of lobster! However, the best part was the last few bites when there was nothing but luscious butter, lobster and a few fries!! That combination was out of this world!!! Entrees included the Divers Scallops, the carbonara, and the walleye putenesco. The Divers Scallops (5) were melt in your mouth, fork tender gorgeous!! The carbonara was commented on as very good. The walleye, unlike the previous visit, was absolutely phenomenal! Perfectly cooked, not smothered in sauce, and just beautiful! I have never had a more perfectly cooked walleye....it was that good!!! (Before and after pictures) Dessert was bread pudding which had beautifully caramelized bananas and was brilliant! I would be remiss if I did not mention Shannon who remembered us from the last visit and made sure we had a marvelous experience to include offering me a sample of an out of this world bourbon (see picture) I am so glad we went back and would tell you to run NOT WALK BUT run to The Plank! Absolutely 5 stars!

Had an impromptu visit to Plank with a couple of lady friends. It was about closing time, but we were hungry. We sat by the bar, drank wine, and had the best conversation and food imaginable. The bartender was very welcoming to our late visit, and the food was impeccable. We shared dressed oysters and snapper ceviche as our appetizers. I enjoyed the Ahi Tuna. All of which were perfection. Another great visit to an amazing restaurant downtown Omaha.

Bumped into this place while strolling around the Old Market. We are not from the area so we are skeptical as to where to eat dinner after being under the sun in the zoo the whole day. We had hush puppies for app, 1lb king crab legs, pasta, surf and turf with crab legs, mussels, curry rice, 3 cocktails, and 2 desserts for $382 (tip excluded). It was not a bad price for the amount and quality of food we got for the 4 of us 😍 This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable host and knowledgeable server, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again if we made another trip to the area.

We went to Plank this weekend with our friends and loved it! First our server was fantastic. Super friendly, helpful, and on top of everything. Starters: We ordered a variety of starters (fish dip, crispy rice cakes, and calamari. All delicious! Cocktails: We tried some cocktails and our favorite was the cucumber collins cocktail. Its a light and easy drink that screams summer. We also ordered the strawberry surfer and were pleasantly surprised to see it come with a fun flamingo in it. At the end of the meal we got the bloody mark plank (and it came with a shrimp on it). Entrees: 2 of us ordered the sea scallops plate (with squid ink pasta), 1 of us ordered the daily catch sea scallops, and one of us got the blackened fish taco plate. By far the crowd pleaser was the sea scallops with squid ink pasta. If you're on the fence get the squid ink pasta! On both scallop dinners the scallops were amazing but the sides on the daily catch dinner were nothing to write home about.

Plank is a classy place. We hadn’t eaten there in a few years and their menu changed pretty dramatically. Our favorite, the clam chowder, is still our favorite. It’s delicious. I tried the special, King Crab Pasta. The black noodles were a surprise and chewy, not what I was expecting. The sauce was flavorful, though.

Fun spot and definitely very popular in Old Market. Oysters were fun and flavorful - get the platter with all 4 varieties. Blackened catfish was too salty for one of us but my snapper was great! Manager came by to say hello as well.

Food was unique and absolutely amazing. Staff was friendly, helpful and excited about the food. Dressed Oysters were wonderful! I can’t recommend Plank enough!

I’ve been here several times. The first time it took a weirdly long time before we were greeted by a server. After that hiccup, though, everything was great! Friendly service and all three of us really enjoyed what we ordered. We had the golden beets appetizer, Atlantic salmon, blackened catfish, and oysters, and everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. They’re also great at making wine pairing recommendations - haven’t had a miss yet.

We came for happy hour & started off with the oysters & some drinks. I will say the cocktail was pretty stout so I appreciated that. Service was top notch. Got the Brussels sprouts as an app & those were delicious. Our final meal was the Halibut & Ahi Tuna. The Halibut was pricey for the amount of food we got but it was v cooked to perfection. The Ahi Tuna was amazing & and I’ll definitely get that entree again. Overall great experience & great food! We’ll be back

We enjoyed a wonderful Happy Hour at Plank. The “Walk The Plank” oyster selection was a great choice, accompanied by chicken and sausage gumbo. We selected a fantastic Barbera. All wonderful. The Oysters Rockefeller was a great addition too. We ended the meal with the best chocolate cheesecake we’ve ever eaten. Light as a feather. The service was perfect. Everything was very well done and server suggestions were thoughtfully provided. What a great way to enjoy the start of our long weekend in Old Market!

If your looking for fresh seafood in the upper plains, this is the place. The selection is phenomenal. The prices are reasonable. Wait staff was patient with all our questions, and made helpful suggestions. Good variety of seafood inspired cocktails. Will definitely be returning next time I’m in the area

We sat at the bar during happy hour, had a great cider on tap and an oyster shot. The oysters and the peel and eat shrimp were both really good. We were impressed overall and will be back! Good quality and friendly bartender!

I would have given this a 3.5 star actually. The restaurant is located in Old Market vicinity. It was easy to make reservation online and we were seated immediately after we arrived at the restaurant. The baked oyster Rockefeller appetizer was pretty good. Our waiter brought out all appetizer and main course the same time which was fine by me as I was famished that day. The pasta with smoked salmon was not what I expected. It wasn’t smoky at all the flaky meat texture of salmon made the pasta thick and unpleasant for me. The Mahi- Mahi taco was alright, nothing too special about it. However, I must say that ingredients were fresh and the environment was decent.
