Absolutely a hidden gem! There is minimal service, but as long as you are aware, it's actually kinda nice (order at the window, get your own drinks and utensils, they bring the food to you). Authentic music playing and the patio is exquisite, you don't think you are in Omaha. I ordered the El Basha special platter with lentil soup. It was a very filling dinner, probably could have made it into 2 meals. It was so flavorful both the seasoning on the meat and the sauces. The lentil soup is one of my favorite I have had. A friend had the falafels and said it was great as well without an overpowering mint flavor that many falafels can have. This is a must try place!

This was my first time eating Mediterranean and Lebanese food, and I couldn't have found a better place. I had the kafta while others in the group had gyros and the shrimp platter. The portion sizes are big, super fulfilling, and delicious! The prices are fantastic as well for the amount of food served. It was incredibly busy, and we snagged the last table inside. All the staff was incredibly nice and very attentive to all the tables. Can't wait to come back and try more food!

Incredible food! I could eat this every day. Get v there early! It was a weekday afternoon at 4:30, and by 5:15pm the tightly packed tables were full. I kept wondering about fire code if we'd all get out. πŸ˜… I truly hope their success let's them obtain a larger building, as they deserve it. You order at the counter, which was odd to me. I understand why they need people to pay first, but the order line passes right by all the tables. I would have loved for someone to explain the items though, to recommend the right beverage (as they have a huge bar, yet I didn't see a list), and suggest a desert or coffee. I was thankful I noticed the coffee before we ordered and paid. The coffee really needs instructions, though, as we are coffee experts yet have never experienced Turkish coffee. It was incredible. I hope great success in all the future to this amazing gem of a restaurant, and we will be back next time we are in Omaha.

The food is very tasty. This place have great vegan options. I love their falafel. During warmer seasons you can sit outside and it has a good atmosphere. I wish they could extend their open hours after 7:30pm

Food is really good. The service is really very slow. We ordered turkish tea with our lunch and waited for almost 45 mins to get it served.

Right off the bat, the ambience was very calming, thanks to the dark lighting and greenery. It's not too fancy with self-serve Coke machines but definitely a good place to do a lunch with friends! The place is small but there's ample seating. The staff was very friendly and gave us menu recommendations. We were seated and after a short wait our food came out, and was so fresh, so flavorful, and so delicious! The waiters let us leave the cleanup to them as they quickly attended our table once we were finished.

I was craving Mediterranean food and we came upon this place! We did takeout because it was T minus 5 minutes before I threw a β€œBF” because I was so hungry. They quoted us 20 minutes and we got there early and it was prepared!!! Now wait till you see the pictures… the food was beautiful and smelled so so good. But who cares about that. How did it taste??? BEST Mediterranean food we’ve ever had. Hands down. To top off this experience, the environment inside and outside was immaculate. Such a cute place to sit and have lunch with friends or go to grab a bite and get some work done. 10/10 will definitely be coming back! Pictured: Chicken Shawarma over rice with Tahini sauce, Side Salad with both dressings offered mixed together, and the gyro with fries and extra Suzuki sauce. Total didn’t even come to $20 before tip!

We had a wonderful meal at El Basha Mediterranean Grill this evening. I had the Gyro dinner which was fantastic, and my husband had the El Basha sample platter. We highly recommended El Basha and will definitely return.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. The flavors are so intense and amazing. It’s a cozy place for lunch and nice enough for a date. I always get the lentil soup, so good!

Good selection of traditional dishes. The food was good and the service timely. The dining room was crowded but, still had an inviting atmosphere. The prices were fair. With a party of 8 we tried many of the dishes. Ordering at the window wasn't super convenient. They did bring our food. Self service for the soft drinks, stuffed behind the silverware rack. All in all, I would eat here again.

We enjoyed this place! You order everything at the counter and they bring it to you. She got the gyro platter with salad and I got the beef shawarma wrap combo with fries. We also got the El Basha tea and the Turkish coffee. They were good (coffee is strong!), though I do recommend getting one of the other -- they give you a whole pot. They play middle eastern music and the atmosphere feels authentic. There's some nice outdoor patio seating as well, so this is a perfect spot to hit up during the warmer months after an excursion at NFM. Will be returning to try other dishes. Definitely recommend.

This place seems nice on the inside. I ate a few times but I don't care for the food. Regular gyro is OK. Bbq gyro is gross. The last time I ate there I went in ate another regular gyro. This third time it was served cold. Seems like it was left on counter for an hour and then given to me. Never again. Please don't waste your time on this dump. There are much better places to eat. He'll, I would rather eat King Kong burger gyro then this place.

We have been coming here since they first opened their doors. And after so many years, traveling the country to find the best Mediterranean food. We found that this is by far the best most authentic Mediterranean cuisine you will find in the US. Needless to say, aside from quality authentic food, you will find that it is EXTREMELY affordable. Much much respect to the owner for continuing to offer food that is affordable to all walks of life. The staff is extremely friendly and the environment is superb. Food was cooked in a reasonable fashion, meaning there was no wait at all, and yet the food was extremely fresh and hot like it should be served. We walk out of there feeling like we got a great deal for such high quality food. Grape leaves are not made in a machine, they’re hand made. The falafels come out nice and warm and crispy. The hummus and babaganoush are made to perfection. We find this to be an amazing experience. We suggest you take the time to dine in.

You have to come visit this hidden gem! It gets packed, but for a good reason. The food is off the chain! The ambiance and atmosphere is calming and peaceful. I ordered a beef gyro and my friend ordered the soup and salad.

Busy little strip mall location. Food was great, though out of at least one item we wanted. We arrived early (5:00) and it was empty. Within an hour it was packed.

This is a 4.5🌟 and could easily be a 5. I've been 4 times in the last year because I love it so much. I don't live close so to eat here this many times says it must be something special. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because on 2 occasions half my gyro meat was overdone and crispy. But on the other 2 occasions it was perfect. Do not let this sway you because El Basha has the BEST Baba ghanoush I have had! And when the gyros are perfectly cooked with their amazing tzatziki sauce they are hands down my favorite in Omaha. I love the atmosphere, the employees are always so kind and helpful, and even take out is great here!

Visited this place after a couple of years!! Was a frequent lunch place pre-covid. Went with a 5 star rating in mind. But am giving it a four just because of my taste buds are still trying to get used to pre pandemic levels 😎.. But El Basha is still the best Mediterranean place in omaha … it was still always bustling during the lunch hours!! So will be back to my monthly visit to this place.

This is the second time we came here. I had the El Basha Grill Platter and Gyro combo for my husband. He doesn't care for the sauce. He said he liked the gyro (meat). The next time we go back, we'd like to put the garlic or tahini sauce in a different saucer. The baklava tastes really good but because of the butter, it's a bit greasy. I also had the grape leaves. I prefer it with meat on the side since it's just rice wrapped in leaves with spices and vegetables. The area is too small for a person with a wheelchair. I love the staff. They serve you with a smile not a serious frown face.

They got my food out in under 3 minutes, and it was really hot! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was so welcoming. The person that took my order was nice to me even after I repeatedly couldn't understand her lol. Lovely place!
