Updated review: I returned two weeks ago and the menu prices have gone way up! Its just too expensive now. $16.95 for a Greek salad with gyro meat added. I've stopped going to the Greek Isle because of the high prices. Here is my ORIGINAL Review, This place offers excellent service most of the time and large portions of expertly prepared Greek food. Yes the Gyros are not bad, they also have other authentic Greek cuisine. if you like the photos I added please click thumbs up.

So, I’m really saddened about having to give this review. I came here as a child many times with my grandparents. It’s been years since I visited. So, I thought I would take my daughter and enjoy the amazing food they have to offer. Well, unfortunately it was not the visit I was expecting. The wait for start was long, for everything- water, appetizer and our main dishes. We ended up having our main dishes boxed up to take home. I was honestly just fed up with the experience and needed to go. The waitress seemed annoyed. I tried to be extra nice and grateful, as I know it is a hard job. But continued to get blank irritated looks from her. Most importantly, they really need to replace the glass table covers as they are chipping in several places. This is dangerous for everyone, especially children! The 2 stars are for the food. The flavor is still there! The generous serving size is still there! Hopefully they can get the tables fixed and work on hiring and training friendly staff.

A nice Greek restaurant that has some delicious options. We had a number of items but some were definitely better than others on our visit. I liked that they served us bread with butter right away as our party was hungry. Tour of Greece Tiropita (cheese in phylo pastry) 3 stars. I could taste the oil and it was pretty heavy that it coated my fingers. Whatever oil it was there was a slight off taste for me on the one I tried Spanakopita 5 stars this was my favorite of the items. There was no excess of oil on this one. Keftedes (meatballs) 4.25 stars, second favorite item. It had good flavor and moist Gyro meat 4 stars decent flavor, moist Feta 4.5 stars It was good Mixed grill 4 stars It was served on a pita bread with onions and tomatoes Lamb 3.75 my lamb was overcooked which might have led it to be dry. Shrimp 5 stars Pikilia 5 stars Chicken riganato 5 stars this is what I would come back for Pork slouvaki 3.75 stars the slouvaki was dry in this case but was a bit better than the Lamb. The only reason it is equal in rating is because I have a personal preference for lamb. Dolmamthes 4.75 stars a very good version. I'm not always a fan of this item but I enjoyed this one a lot. Moussaka 4.5 stars very very tasty Loukaniko 3.5 stars Is an orange peel sausage? But it wasn't our favorite here. I didn't order it so I don't remember the details but I did try my friends order. Parking is available in a dedicated medium sized lot. The lemon potatoes were also a win. Everyone liked the house salad. It's very simple but was fresh. The olives that came with it were very tasty.

I always enjoy this place - best gyros in town in my opinion. The Kalamari is perfectly breaded, the Mad Greek Gyro is my absolute favorite, and Grilled Salmon had just the right amount of blackened to it.

Great food!! The spanadip was absolutely phenomenal. I wanted to marry it! The service was decent, not spectacular, but no complaints. The vibe was nice. Prices were fair.

Tried the tour of Greece. Amazing. My favorite was the Domantas though All of it was excellent. Greek potatoes? YES PLEASE!! Server was swift and pleasant. Appetizers were so yummy. I had to buy a bottle of their house Greek salad dressing because it was SO good

I must say this place has a certain refreshing vibe. Spacious and beautifully arranged. We tried the Greek classic Flaming Saganaki & Kalamari It was fantastic. The Greek salad was fine, a wee bit more feta cheese on top would have been great 👍 Lastly, Souvlaki was appetizing and perfectly done.

Mad Gyro: Disappointing. Sliced fresh jalapeños and cheap grocery store crispy jalapeño topping delivered any heat to the dish. Onions were softened, which lead to a lack of texture variation to the gyro. The meat was good, but it could've been better with a few seconds on a hot flat top. Pita bread was OK, arguably the best part of the sandwich. It held the ingredients without tearing, which is really all one can ask of a pita. Portion size was about right for the price. Chicken gyro: Inedible. Chicken smelled and tasted fishy, and the texture was tough and chewy. The seasoning was good though. The item found its way to the trash after trying 2 pieces of the chicken. Portion size was on the small side for the price. Tzaziki was surprisingly decent. Overall: I can't see myself trying this establishment again. The prices aren't outrageous by any means, but it was not a good meal.

Second time I've dined here and it's always great. Even the simple things such as the house salad or the starter bread and butter is fantastic. Nice thin crunchy crust on the bread. House dressing is awesome on the salad with feta (and olives if you like olives. The pikilia is great if you want authentic Greek dishes and to try a variety. The roasted pork loin is delicious and the hand cut potatoes compliment it nicely. Dessert is a must try where you can't go wrong but I recommend loukomathes.

Although I've heard about this place for years, I finally had the opportunity to try it. I was very much impressed with the DELICIOUS food we had. Started with the flaming saganaki with shrimp. We spread the melty cheese on buttered bread, and the shrimp were cooked to perfection! I tried the street gyros with gyro meat, and I've since dreamed about this meal! My friends had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken and salmon, so I had to try theirs too! *chef's kiss* The food was very, very good. Good food makes me happy, and what more could I ask for? Simply put, I'll be back.

It was nice overall. There are some things on the menu to give a reason to go back and try some other things. I didn't get to take pictures of our food. I was starving. The Lemon Sunshine cake is DE-LIGHTFUL!! The Greek Salad is almost perfectly authentic like in Crete. Lovely date 🌃 with my 💘!!

Good food at a fair price! Service was prompt and friendly. I sampled the pikilia and the gyro platter. Unique houae dressing on the salad big enough portions for leftovers. Great place for conversation or a family gathering.

Absolutely delicious! Had the vegetarian gyro with sautéed veggies — they were cooked wonderfully. Greek potatoes also super tasty. Nice vibe inside and kind servers. A new favorite spot in Omaha!

We ordered take-out and waited for it inside the restaurant but you can call ahead. We showed up between 6-7 pm on a Tuesday, and the restaurant was very busy, but the wait only took 15 minutes, and they have a small bench to sit on inside by the front desk. The staff were all super friendly and did their absolute best to serve everyone quickly. If I could give them more than 5 stars for service, I would. We ordered two gyro platters with Greek potatoes and two baklavas. The order came up to $41, which I think is fantastic for the amount of food you get. The price in mind, I would give the food we had four stars. I must say that’s 100% about my personal preference, I am pretty picky when it comes to Greek food because I like it so much. The difference between the platter and the gyro sandwich is that it’s bigger (which basically means more meat and onion, otherwise likely the same) and you get feta and olives. It’s exactly 2 olives with the pit in and one (fairly large) cube of feta on the side. The rest is mostly meat and a ton of white onion. That said, I enjoyed it. Personally, I prefer gyro more balanced (more tomato, olives, less meat, less onion), same with tzatziki (I prefer more cucumber), but like I said, that’s all just down to personal preference. The three potatoes you get with the platter when you choose the Greek potato side are massive and very good, as was the baklava. Between all the meat and potatoes, I had enough food to save quite a lot for later and make my platter into two meals, which is always nice.

Always my favorite place to go! Though this last time we visited, it took way too long to get any food and the service was not that great. The server kept forgetting to bring us stuff and didn't come around very much. But I still love this place and the food is always amazing!

Waited an hour for my food on a night that was not very busy. And a couple got in, seated, fed, and finished... while I waited for My food. The server said sorry, and she'd get us a free dessert. But it was a lie.

The food is good. Our server seemed distracted. We waited for my husband's salad for about 10 minutes and no salad. When we asked her, she said the kitchen must have missed it. Our entree took another 40 minutes. This would have been okay if the server would not have told us two minutes 'over and over. We did not complain about the wait. We had to wait another 15 minutes for our bill. A relative of the server surprised her at work. Yay...

This place was very nice! The hubby and I stopped in for lunch. I ordered the Athenian salad, the hubby ordered a gyro sandwich with fries. Both were very good. The waitress was friendly and I loved how the restaurant was decorated. If you are ever in Omaha Nebraska you have to stop here! You won't regret it.

Good value for the price. Pleasant staff. Best gyros in town, hands down. Only reason for 4 stars is that the building feels dated and the chairs are uncomfortable. If those don't matter to you, then it's 5 stars.

Super dissatisfied, super inconsistent with the quality of their food and service. Don’t seem to care much about customer satisfaction. I used to come here so much, but it has gone down hill. Today I went in hoping for a good experience, I ordered the same salad with salmon that I always get. As well as spanadip appetizer, immediately we noticed a difference in taste with the appetizer. When our salads came, differences in the feta also with the salad mix. We brought this up to are server, which she was kind, but seemed to brush it off. We paid with someone at the front desk, who as well seemed to brush off our comments with the food after she asked how it was. Her response was, “We must have changed our salad mix”, I would like to have been notified about the change before getting our food. We only ate a couple bites, and paid $70 super pricey for an appetizer and some salads. Unfortunately I won’t be bringing my business here anymore. :(

Food was overall well. Unfortunately we waited over an hour for food. Our server seemed really overwhelmed and annoyed with us. I’m sure this is due to only having two servers and we were very patient and nice to her. We got an appetizer which took 45 minutes to get out to us and we didn’t even get the bread that was supposed to come with it so it went cold. Our server did not check on us that much but again I think this is due to only having two servers. Glass covers on the tables I noticed were chipping in some places as others have mentioned in the reviews. Over all the food was good but be prepared to wait overall we were there for a hour and a half and we had reservations.

I have had two dining experiences here. With the first group, I was the only non-white. We received immediate service. The second time, I came with my sister and my baby. We waited, and waited. 15 minutes had elapsed. Just then, a huge party of people arrived and were served both their drinks and their salads in a prompt manner. Astonished, I asked for another server to assist us. Instead of an apology or honoring my request, I received attitude. I noticed that other people on here of non-white ethnic backgrounds have been receiving the same treatment. The staff have made it very clear who is the preferred customer. If the owner reads this, I urge your staff to read up on how your people have been treated in the U.S. (try Omaha). Specifically in the early 20th century. What a mockery to look down on others when you yourselves have been subject to hate crimes and riots. Never will I return here nor will I recommend this place to anyone I know.

We go there 3-4 times a month. The atmosphere is not 5 star but better than average decor with white table clothes, cloth napkins etc. Although I feel that the wait staff is dressed a bit too casual, they do a fine job. The food is always very good and affordable- makes it easier to come back weekly. My usual choice from the menu is chicken Santorini $14.25 comes with good salad, bread , stuffed chicken on a bed of rice or optional Greek potatoes , and a generous side of broccoli. SO GOOD!

I highly urge you not to eat here. The owner obviously doesn’t care about sanitation. The bathroom had a cockroach. Disgusting! The food tasted horrible and extremely overpriced. When we tried to tell them to take the food back. They refused and still charged us full price. I will have to refute this with my bank now. They all gave us dirty looks which was extremely unprofessional. Never going back again!

This restaurant is a gem! There is something delicious on the menu for everyone! The staff is super friendly. The homemade desserts are phenomenal. We were visiting from Indiana and will definitely return on our next visit!

Very good food. Vegetarian selections. Clean environment. Friendly staff. And probably the best baklava we've ever had!

I love when I get to dine here. The food is so delicious, authentic, and filling. I came during a special in the fall, where they had a lamb dish with a sweet and savory sauce. I think about it all the time! I can't wait for fall to return so I can get that special again. The lamb was fall off the bone tender with rice. We do not come that often but I'd love to save up to come more. The wait times can be pretty long, but that isn't a worry for me, the food is good and it is worth it! I've been here a few times since I was a kid, and even came for my 8th grade graduation going into high school. Everytime has been a delicious visit since then. (by the way - If anyone is reading this and knows the dish please let me know so I can remember what to order, and what day they have the special!) I believe the sauce had notes of clove in it.

My husband and I are from Chicago where the Authentic Greek food is plentiful. Since leaving Chicago we have struggled to find fantastic authentic greek food! Today right here in Omaha you have one of the best Greek restaurants I’ve had in 20 years! It felt like a taste of home. So glad we came!

First time visit. The atmosphere was average and nothing to crow about. Service was quick and attentive. Ordered grilled chicken sandwich with steak fries. The plate size was generous. (Friend of mine had salad and it was huge for a small order) The steak fries tasted a little plain, not seasoned enough. The chicken was grilled but it was very dry. The seasoning on top of the chicken added good flavoring but it was quite hard to get past thr dryness of the chicken. The buns was moist and helped with the sandwich. Their bread before the meal was deliciously good. They had a few baby flies around the area which I found myself swatting away. Two of them perched on the wall right above me. For the price, I expected better. I have had better experiences in fast food places. Difficult to rate so ill leave it a three star for average.

Our food was amazing, our server amber was excellent and although we had a small wait it was long enough to let my stomach settle from the wings and salad before eating the main course. I don't care how long I have to wait to taste food like that again.
