I love the puff tacos from here! It's one of my favorites in the area. Trini's is a hidden gem in the old market passageway. It's an extremely small space, I've normally gone in between meal times to avoid the crowd. The menu is designed to either pick an entrée or items Á la carte, which I appreciate. I dont always want a big, heavy meal. My favorite is the puff tacos and tostadas. And, of course a margarita to go with the meal. There are a few things to keep in mind. You do not automatically get chips and salsa for the table. You have to order it. The salsa is not the best I've had in town. Things like sour cream and jalapeño for your dish cost extra. If you've never been, I recommend giving it a try.

I was able to get an early seat at the restaurant around 4pm and I sat inside. The staff was amazing and super friendly. The only negative would be the parking. I got in early but I think it would have been bad if I came later in the day. The positive is that parking is cheap at the meter. I hope to come back again and enjoy the spicy salsa.

I got the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. Everything was really good, though it would have been so much better had the enchiladas been made with corn tortillas rather than flour. It just felt like very white people Mexican food. Also, chips and salsa are a purchase, not complimentary. I feel like chips and salsa should be part of the experience. I do love that it's in the Passageway!

Don’t do what I did. I ordered all chicken meals and it was a very one note experience. The best thing I ate was the nachos. The food was very hot. The staff was fantastic and attentive. They have Pepsi products. Not a fan of the enchiladas.

We really enjoyed Trini's. 😃 Great food, excellent service and quaint atmosphere. It's not very big and very busy. Reservations are recommended.

Only my 2nd time patronizing this establishment & I can say it definitely won’t be the last. 😱 Best & most tender fajitas I have ever ever ever wrapped my lips around. These are the things vegetarians’ dreams are made of. On the 6th day, when God created land animals, 🐄 he foresaw these fajitas & the enjoyment that would follow. 🎉 😋 The ambiance and the service were equally impressive. ❤️

My boyfriend and I went to Trini’s on a Friday night. I have wanted to come here for years but have just never had the chance to. The atmosphere is beautiful with the brick and the greenery of the passageway. Although it’s loud because of the small space, the quaintness of it makes it worth it! We got the queso as an appetizer and not a drip of it was left behind because it was yummy! My boyfriend cleaned his plate of enchiladas (I think he got a #6) and I got the combination #2 (pictured). The food was really great! Our waitress was friendly and efficient as well! The price was awesome! We will be back during some of our future date nights!

Trini's has such an interesting atmosphere. Quite literally tucked away in downtown Omaha, Trini's is surrounded by indoor boutiques and art galleries. Located down the stairs on cobblestones, you can sit on the "patio" or inside. We were greeted by a kind and friendly waiter. We got our meals in a very timely manner. Everything was served hot! Don't skip out on the seafood nachos!!! It sounds odd, but they are SO. GOOD. If you're looking for a unique experience to dine in downtown Omaha, Trini's is the place to go!

Giving four stars for the atmosphere, because it is amazing! Not a bad seat in the place. You can sit inside or in a patio area within the “passageway” for people watching fun times! The food was okay. I wouldn’t say authentic, but decent. We had the Cheese Crisp which was basically melted cheese on a flour tortilla. I tried the deep fried puffy taco and that was a different experience, but pretty tasty. I did LOVE the hot sauce! Margaritas were average, very sweet tasting. I’d recommend a visit to this place for the ambiance alone, a nice date spot for sure! They are very friendly as well!

Tucked away in The Old Market Passage is the Old Market's best hidden gem and my personal favorite restaurant in Omaha. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is sublime. Dine in an alleyway full of plants life, sunlight, art galleries, and a few small local shops. Highly recommend the nachos and the puffy tacos!!

Very bland food. The presentation looked nice but we all left disappointed. The queso and salsa were average. I would not consider this authentic. Sadly we wouldn't return.

My favorite downtown restaurant. The food and drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. You can't beat the ambiance in the Old Market Passageway. Also, love that they take reservations.

Great spot in the old market to sit down and catch an inexpensive meal. Fish tacos were great! Drinks were weak, though.

Perfect lunch spot. Shared two tacos and a fajita and it was under $35. Cozy casual environment

We had a little party for my wife, and the service was fast, and our server was amazing! We were there a little after closing due to our party starting at 830, but they didn't rush us out of there. I had the fish tacos, and my wife had the nachos, and we were impressed and will be back for sure! Highly recommend!

I loved this place! I wish i never went back so i just had that wonderful memories from my last ever visit. We dined in here because i was thrilled to go back and have my loved ones experience what I experienced. But the waiter never checked on us. Never refilled the water and after half an hour she just slid the checks like trying to hurry us up to go. We left the restaurant all so thirsty for water!! Because the waiter made us feel like were inconvenienced . The food was horrible its like frozen food. I loved this place! I really do. I remember the food , drinks and service was amazing! I dont think i can say the same thing no more

Definitely on my all time list of favorite places. You can't beat the location and atmosphere. Cozy location, always great service, and the food is always so good. I've tried almost everything on the menu.

Trini's is a cute little place with a nice atmosphere in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it basement of an old building. I enjoyed the food very much! I ordered a steak fajita platter. Service was fast and our server checked on us regularly. The food was plentiful, more on the platter than I could in my three tiny flour tortillas. The star is knocked off because they nickel and dime you for anything extra. You want sour cream? A dollar. You want guac? A dollar. You want chips and salsa with your meal? That will cost you too. Not your standard procedure for a Mexican restaurant.

"Old-world" in the Old Market, the atmosphere sets the mood for a wonderful dining experience! The food and the service are top-notch too! Every time we're in Omaha, we never miss an opportunity to visit Trini's.

We walked in on a busy Friday, right in the nick of time as it filled up in a matter of minutes. I ordered one of the top chicken fajitas I've have ever ordered from a restaurant. I was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection with a good balance of meat to veggies. The staff were wonderful. Loved this place and will come back next time we are in Omaha.

This was the best dinner we had on our long weekend trip! The service was amazing, food was spectacular, and the building itself was so cool! It was busy but they got us in quite quick and we never felt like we were waiting for service and also never felt rushed. The portions were just the perfect size and the price was very reasonable.

If you like “Mexican” that is actually just Midwestern American food, then this place is for you. I ordered two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, a standard at most Mexican diners, and instead of the usual queso blanco filling it’s just shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack from a grocery store. Similarly, their tomato salsa looks like the type you buy at Costco and clearly is not homemade. Such a disappointment for how much they charge. I won’t be returning.

It took me 8 years of living in Omaha to finally come check this super neat business out. The scenery is simply beautiful and a “must-visit” if you’re a tourist. The food was really good. My only complaint is that I usually prefer Mexican restaurants that offer complimentary chips and salsa rather than charging for it. But hey, capitalism right?

We saw the sign on the street and decided to give it a try for a late lunch. It was honestly the best I have had. I ordered a combo and it was more than I could eat. Everything had such a authentic flavor, you knew it was prepared to order. I may be going back during my stay in Omaha.

The chips and salsa were decent. The patio style dining area is beautiful. The food however for me was inedible. I ordered a chimichanga and as soon as I opened it up it was a water fall of hot grease. I know ground beef can be greasy but this was way extra. I tried one bite and spit it back out. Tasted like old oil. Husband ate the rice and beans but a two bites into his The Juan burrito he also decided it was way to greasy. The waiter was pleasant , he got the manager when I told him it was not edible. She offered to have them make a new one. I said no thank you. She didn't charge us for the food because we didn't eat. Did offer to pay for hubbys but she declined. Great customer service. Bad food. Wished I had my phone along to snap a photo.

The food and drinks are an 8/10 the service is about a 2/10 the waitress was very attentive to other tables then snapped at us saying it was just her when there were at least 2 other people working. The male server that took over was attentive and very polite! Would've been nice if he took over sooner by the time we got our sauces we asked for multiple times our food was cold. When we asked for extra napkins we were given two by the waitress as well "gee thanks". Hoping for better next visit.
