absolutely horrible experience. We ordered a cake for my moms bday 2-3 days in advance. We noticed the hand writing was very messy, ok whatever. Then we took it out of the box and it was completely lop sided. We sent wheat fields a private message as we didn’t want to leave a review if they’d just make it right. They asked us for more details then never responded. So my mom went there in person. They had no management and my mom had to wait for the manager to drive there. They accused my mom of dropping the cake because of the finger print. The finger print was clearly an accident (not even done by my mom) and NOBODY dropped the cake. Let me make this clear: my mom didn’t pick up the cake from wheatfields NOR did she take the cake out of the box. Shame on you for accusing and treating my mom like this. She only showed them 1 photo so I’ll attach photos of the other sides so you can CLEARLY see nobody dropped it the cake it was just sloppily and carelessly made. On the shorter side there was a ton of frosting in the middle so they clearly knew and tried to even it out. Never got an apology, refund, nothing. Instead they dragged it out way more than it needs to be. It says A LOT about an owner by how they treat their customers. Seriously, how hard is it to just apologize?? I think the loser manager must have a huge ego, you know take this a lesson people will respect you more if you admit when you’re wrong. After looking up the company more they had a class action law suit involving 40 ex employees not being paid by the scum owner, and had 10 citations for violating mask mandates. Had I known this I wouldn’t waste my time here because now we clearly see how this trash 🗑 does business.

EXTREMELY unprofessional owner! Has zero respect for customers and thinks the cake below is acceptable for $30! Zero apology or anything. We were told we dropped this cake. Would you pay for this? I know I never will give them a penny ever again!!!

I got the crab/lobster cake eggs Benedict, and I just want to say that if you've got a bit of extra cash this is decadence on a plate. I love this dish, it's cheesy with a bit of a kick and the cakes are always cooked to perfection!

Avocado toast was amazing! I've never had it before and it did not disappoint! The salsa on the side I could do without- way too garlicky. My husband had Dad's Biscuits and Gravy. So good!

Bummer. Went for a late lunch at 2:00 and the only place to sit was at a dirty table outside. The table was dirty from last night's rain. A sign says the dining room closes at 1:30 - I wish I had known. While I was waiting to order, I saw other would-be customers figure out the situation and leave. The chicken salad was okay, kind of bland. My son said his grilled cheese was good. I'm 0 for 2 on highly-rated Omaha restaurants. Upstream Brewing was a disappointment, too. But Perkin's by the airport was good! Go figure.

This place is incredible and will bring out the German nostalgic in you. Every dessert known to man here. I always get the Düsseldorf sausage and potato casserole. The struedel with cream is a must-have. Add a latte or a mimosa and you're all set for Sunday.

Been getting gluten free cinnamon rolls for years here. We tried calling ahead and were told they don’t do call ahead pre-orders. They had lots of gluten free rolls for customers for call ahead orders behind the counter, but no gluten free rolls out to buy. We asked if they had any gluten free rolls to buy because we were the second group to come in for the day and they may not have been setup yet. The lady at the front said everything we have is out. We asked if we could just put an order on hold for us and they told us that is not how things work. Changed review to 2 stars. We went back about 90 minutes later in the off chance they made some more rolls and they had dozens of gluten free cinnamon rolls ready. The person working could have just said they are in the oven instead of we might have some at 9 or 10 or 11.

Worst banana bread I have ever eaten! Not sure why it was sold as banana bread, had no flavor of banana whatsoever and dry! Just horrible! Think I would have been better off going to a gas station and getting some banana bread!!!

WheatFields was one of several restaurants recommended to me before we traveled to Omaha. We ordered take out breakfast two mornings in a row. The first day I ordered the Mini Roll Sampler and my husband ordered the Dad's Biscuits and Gravy. The second day I ordered the Raspberries and Creme French Crepes. I also purchased a slice of Strawberry Wedding Cake. Everything we ordered looked appealing and appetizing. The servings were generous. Everything was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to go back. There were so many bakery options to choose from it's a miracle I only left with one slice of cake!!

Absolutely delicious brunch foods for a wide range/generation of people! From 26y-82y olds we were all happy with our orders! Strawberry crepes were the biggest hit (the plate went around the table for everyone to take a taste), veggie delight (omelette with spinach, asparagus, onions and cheese were fresh and delish! Avocado toast was with very fresh greens, on delicious bread and large portions. MUST try the sweet roll sampler (great to get everyone talking and sharing together). 💯 on our Omaha favorites!

Awesome place to eat only down one star for service because our server took a long time but it was understandable because they were very busy. The food was very quick to come out and tasted amazing. I have the lobster and crab benedict which was very rich and tasted great. My husband had the roll sampler and he was quite pleased

A bit of a drive for me but the special (multiple, 31st Birthday) celebration was sufficient to literally go the extra MileS for this Spectacular Strawberry Wedding Cake, Grab & Go service! It's one of their high demand items and DEFINITELY lives up to its' reputation! While their rotating display and ample sheet alternatives, I called to ensure my trip was fruitful. In hindsight, the distance is an effective deterrent. Life's duration demands a balance of celebrations and lavish living. Westfield offers dietary options (gluten free) for those inclined and dine-in for those with time available & interested. It's a great place to satisfy Sweet Tooth Sally & Sweet Tooth Sam - bon appetit

Got a pecan roll, cinnamon roll, rice krispie, and gluten free wedding cake slice to try. The cinnamon roll and rice krispie were good, the pecan roll was really good, and in terms of gluten free cakes it might have been the best one I've had. Excellent texture on both cake and frosting, definitely recommend it to those seeking to avoid gluten but still hit that sweet tooth.

Rude, stood for awhile to place a carryout order, I should have turned around and walked out! Food was not worth it!😖 The bacon egg sandwich was like nursing home food, those were not real eggs. McDonald's brkfst is way better

I have been to wheatfields many times and for some reason this time my experience wasn’t great. The coffee was very watery. When I asked can he brew a new pot - he said “no the owner likes it this way and there will be no change in coffee” (in my head I was like “is the owner having this coffee/meal or paying for this? 😂)The server will say no to everything and was not even welcoming. We ordered lobster cake and veggie omelette and Benedict was partially cooked and presentation was not great. The omelette ordered was partially cooked. Bad presentation. It really felt like the food and coffee were pre made and server would not make an attempt to either make it right or help with the order. With the money spent it didn’t felt like a restaurant experience and I am disappointed to say that I won’t be coming back and it is sad that I used to love this place but the quality and service is very opposite now to what it used to be. :( Not a brunch or breakfast place where coffee is watery!

Wheat fields has always been a favorite dining place for us. I know lately there has been a lot of controversy about the owner and his professionalism. Personally I have never met him, but this rating is solely based on food. Before COVID the menu was bible size and you could spend forever trying to decide on a meal. Now it has seriously condensed and while there are still a lot of great options, I strongly wish they would bring back the open faced hot turkey. For restaurant mashed potatoes they are my favorite! The cinnamon rolls of the size of a small dinner plate and piled high with a mountain of frosting. Also save room for dessert. Most delicious strawberry wedding cake and plenty of other dessert options to list! The atmosphere only gets three stars because it's usually always busy and it's hard to hear conversations at your table.

I ordered French toast for take out. The French toast was $15! Ihop has better French toast. These were thin little slices & the syrup has a wierd taste. I will not be coming back. The prices here are insane. For $15 I should be full and it should include eggs and bacon at the very least. The gal taking the order should've told me the cost. I almost said forget it when I arrived & now I wish I would have.

THE best avocado toast I have ever had! Great flavor, seasoning, texture and temperature. The server was remarkable. Prompt and engaging. I think the post pandemic crunch has NOT hurt Wheatfields. Bravo.

Terrific bakery, good to very good food. Some unusual interesting menu items. The bakery alone I'd worth the visit.

The food was amazing and so was the service. We went for breakfast and I had the zucchini French toast which was delicious and my wife had the apple crepes

Very friendly staff and good food! Very good menu and nice restaurant. It is a little pricey, but I would dine there again. I would recommend that a person should at least try it once.

Pretty sure someone sold their soul to make these cinnamon buns taste so good. I expected the “frosting” to be very sweet as there is a lot. It was the creamiest thing I have had. Consistency like cream cheese frosting but smooth like whipped cream. Avocado toast was so tasty.

My best friend and I had always done breakfast/brunch at a different establishment for years, but Wheatfields will be our new place! I hadn't been here in a long time until this past weekend and wondered why I ever strayed away. I absolutely love this restaurant! My eggs came out wrong but the server was extremely attentive and made things right -- As a former server myself, I know things happen between the table order and the kitchen so it was no problem at all. I genuinely appreciated her care with having new eggs made. Breakfast and coffee were absolutely delicious, and of course it took a lot of restraint to not buy all of the desserts in the bakery area. :)

Love this place, so sad the one downtown closed. Great food, good service and a cozy place. Prices have gone up a bit but that's everywhere.
