Taj is back, finally, after months of remodeling they are back and life is good again. My family ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and Chicken Jalfrezi and were so happy to find that the hiatus did nothing to diminish the fantastic flavors that made the Taj a staple of my families diet and a go to option for birthdays and celebrations. We truly missed the delicious meals and the generous portions. I would eagerly recommend Taj to anyone who craves good Indian food or someone who has never tried Indian food.

I had high expectations about this place. But the food is just so so. I had veg munchuriyan which is very good and veg fried rice. The fried rice didn't have any vegetables. The ambience is not so great. The service is so late, we spent about 1hr 45 mins there. I might go back there and try few more. Revisited on 01/10/2021 for a pick up. The food was supposed to be pickup ready by 12.55pm but it wasn't ready till 1.45pm. Apparently the guys didn't even apologize for the lateness. With everything that's going on there is not even a sanitizer at the pick-up place. I will never go back to this place.

The Taj provided such a great dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious - we got mango chicken curry, malabar chicken curry, garlic naan, chili naan, and kashmiri naan. Both curries were rich with spice and flavor - spices rank from 1-10. All the naans were great, but the kashmiri naan was one I hadn't seen, and it was so worth trying!! It was almost like dessert. On top of the great food, the chef came out to greet us and the whole staff was very pleasant. Would recommend to anyone wanting some great Indian food!

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Located in a strip mall, inside is tidy and spacious. Food is delicious, service is great. Based on the opinion of a local, the food is good and as good you will find outside of India. They excelled at appetizers. The chicken lollipop and gobi Manchuria were delicious. The curry was also on point. Definitely a must try. Bonus points for using a remote point of sale where the waiter will bring the terminal to your table to process the payment. Faster check out.

As a kid, the Taj was a family favorite. I hadn't been there in years, until tonight. I was afraid it wouldn't be as good as my memory, but I wasn't disappointed! I do miss the nicer feel of the neighborhood they used to be in, but the food is spot on. I got the mango curry. The sauce was amazingly creamy and full of flavor. The garlic naan was also a great amount of crispy.

The food is authentic south Indian food. Great vegan options, great meats prepared halal style. Everything is so flavorful. Guarantee you will crave & come back. Healthy servings, peaceful atmosphere. Good people great cooks.

By far the best Indo Chinese food we had in Omaha. We had schezuwan fried rice, hakka fried rice, veg korma and gobii manchurian, everything tasted delicious. Amazing chef’s, very friendly staff and good service. Would definitely recommend 👍🏼

Literally the best Indian food I have ever had. Lovely customer service, fast, and affordable. Definitely will come back to Omaha just for this restaurant.

We initially liked the food and the service a lot and we were regular customers of Taj for over 2+ years. This time we went with our friends and there were major issues with the bill. The total amount was way higher than the actual sum of all items. When we asked to correct the bill, the receptionist started giving reasons and misbehaved with us which is a shame on your part that you lost regular customers. I would have forgotten about this had the receptionist not have misbehaved.

Fantastic meal. Custom spice level; kids wanted mild, adults wanted full spice, we were all happy. Everything tasted fantastic. Friendly service. The chef even came out to check on us. Nice and quiet. Highly recommend! We will be back.

ITS SO FREAKING GOOD. We let our waiter pick our food for us (we're indian cuisine newbies) and it was all top notch. We shared meals. Go and plan to spend some time just eating , conversing, and drink tea, eat desserts. E n j o y your time

Great food and service! Although I've been eating at The Taj for several years, they have really stepped up their game and deserve a 5 star review. The recent interior remodel turned out very nicely and now the space is quite cozy. The food as always is flavorful and fresh but I think that now that they have a more limited menu, the food quality has gone up. On our last visit we tried the plain Naan, aloo Gobi and vegetable samosa. The Naan was fresh, just the right balance between fluff and crisp and very large pieces. The aloo Gobi was very flavorful and very good portion size. Last but not least, the vegetable samosa with chutney was the best I've ever had. Will be going back again!!

Great food, but please be better about sealing the containers for delivery. My tikka masala leaked all over the bag and other items because the lid wasn’t properly closed.

Today was the first time we have eaten here but it won’t be the last. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had the homemade samosas which were outstanding. The family that owns the restaurant made us feel very welcome and the service was very good. We will definitely come back with our family and would recommend it to anyone who likes Indian cuisine.

I love the new Taj decor and dining! It feels so cozy with the authentic Indian design and the new sweet potato samosas are magical. I can't wait to come back again! 💕 We dined in and I'm eating my carryout now at home. Really makes for a fabulous day!

Yesss, very good food, little pricey but tasty food. So many to choose from, finally we found this place , my husband is indian i cook indian cuisine, their food is awesome.

I didn’t get no napkins or silverware, but that’s beside the point I got that at home. 1st time doing Indian food, at first when I tasted it I was on the fence BUT after I added SALT AND PEPPER it was bussin, garlic naan on point, samosas “not for me” errbody taste buds different I just didn’t like them, but I say try them yourself my tastebuds funny a lul bit. The food is high priced but I seen everything that goes in it and the amount of time it takes to make it arrive to the point of done and that’s a lot of time so I understand. I would recommend the restaurant, but again this is my first time tasting Indian food ok. Luv ya bye!

Highly recommend this place to anyone. Great food and excellent customer service. The food can be spicy, so if that's not your jam be sure to mention it because the spice level can be adjusted!

It's solid. The chicken can be dry at times in certain saucy dishes but their tandoor is very good and very moist. Their heat varies too greatly between dishes as well; even if I order mild on everything the dishes range from 2/10-7/10. Also, if you're ordering ahead for takeout, no matter what time they say it will be ready, add on another 20-25 minutes because otherwise you will show up and they will ALWAYS be surprised when you do. Then they rush around to get the order out while they act like they never knew it was ever placed - EVERY. DANG. TIME.

Loved the food and all, service very nice. Biryani tasted amazing, but I quickly ran out of rice-- I never complain about a little extra meat, but there was more meat than rice. I will order again (especially the samosa), but I'll ask for much less lamb this time.

Great tasting quality Indian food. Many different dishes, each with unique flavors. I often eat food from this Taj restaurant and recently, I used their catering service for party at home, and all my guests had great appreciations for the food. Owner is very friendly and delivered food on time. I would highly recommend Taj Indian Cuisine for both Dine-in and Catering experience. Certainly, is the best in Omaha.

The best Indian food in town. I tried other places but NOTHING TOP TAJ. And yes they are open for dine in and take out. The food here always makes my taste buds dance. Loved it since day one and still loving it.

this is the spot. I was not a fan of Indian food but this place changed that! The apps go for the chili chicken and the lollipops. The tenedori chicken is amazing! Rice and tikamasaka was amazing. (I might of misspell a couple words)
