It is the perfect spot for enjoying nature and the home turf of WogWorks Kayaking! There is a trail that goes around the lake, including a floating portion. There are several good launching spots for kayaks and paddle boards and a boat ramp too!

As a kid, and now as an adult, I've always loved going out to Standing Bear to fly my drone, fish, walk on the trails or just enjoy the view of the water. It's drained right now, but it was still interesting to walk around 5 feet below where I was ice fishing just a year ago.

Came to Omaha from the Twin Cities to see the zoo and stumbled upon a recommendation online to go to the Standing Bear Lake Park for my toddlers. We walked the opposite way along the path from where we parked and were surprisingly happy we did as the trail around (and through!) the lake are spectacular! The park was perfect for toddlers too! Of note, it's about a 3 mile loop.

Visited the playground area accessible through gate 4. The swings and other equipment are for toddlers. The parallel ropes and rope ladders are for children 5 years old and older. Beautiful views of the lake in October.

Standing Bear Lake is one of my favorite lake/parks in the Omaha area. It is very dense with trees and is absolutely perfect for kayaking. They even have a specialized kayak loading dock to make it easy to deploy. It's a very peaceful, secluded lake to walk around and has a great kids playground area. My favorite part was the floating bridge they built across the lake. I will definitely be returning!

Lake is drained, but the walking trails are awesome. I take my dog out often in the mornings, still beautiful even with no water!

Nice place! It has a boat ramp and a historic marker at access point 1. There are 5 accesses points. Fishing, boating, kayaking, walking, biking and grilling around the lake side can be fun. It has kids area, a paved trail park, shade and park benches at access point 4 and 1. Lush green lawns around.

Be aware of the fact that the lake is dry as they make renovations.

Small walkable little lake. They have bike lanes/walking lanes. There are many trash receptacles all around the lake. Sadly people still discard their trash on the ground. Also another problem is irresponsible dog owners that won't clean up their dog mess.

This is a 3 mile trail if you make the entire loop. It is nicely paved and leashed-dog friendly. I felt safe during the afternoon and encountered other dog-walkers, runners and kids fishing. There are several access points to the trail, two playgrounds that I saw and a small dock with water access for swimmers, kayaks, paddleboards etc. Not sure if there are restrooms.

I've been Kayla fishing here several times... Great for crappie especially but I caught bad and click too and a good size carp. (See photo) The boat ramp could be a little more level/accessible. Great otherwise. Good structure to fish.

My friend and I came here one evening after work to go walking and we had a pleasant visit walking the trails. This park is a short drive from where we work and the scenery is nice so we will probably be back many times! We loved the bridge and can't wait to come walk the trails during the winter time!

Beautiful setting just for relaxing, walking or taking a jog. It has a floating bridge to access the other side of the lake and a dock to look out over the water. No dedicated restrooms but did have a Port-a-Potty.🙂👍

A family friendly and beautiful park with plenty of fishing spots! Great for jogging and dog walking! The trails have great views and the floating bridge is a fun addition to the hike. It is a popular destination, rightfully so, but with that I will say it isn't always super quiet. Also I must note that it is a welcome practice to bring your own trash bag or two. With popularity unfortunately comes a great deal of litter (picture included), so please preserve the beauty and cleanliness of the space for other families too! If you enjoy it then show respect for it by at least cleaning up your own waste and maybe even some miscellaneous trash too as I always do. Loose fishing line can tangle and kill everything from fish to birds; and plastics and Styrofoam clogs waterways as well as the guts of anything that mistakes it for edible. So please pitch in to preserve the pristine quality of your favorite place whilst you enjoy it so it lasts and can be shared!
