INCREDIBLE experience!! 10000% Autism approved. My son and I are both Autistic and this place os probably the most inclusive place I've ever been. If we lived here I'd get a membership in an instant. That being said if you have a membership to a museum where you live that is part of the ASTC program, talk to them before leaving on your trip. This museum is also in the program and you might be able to get in free, like we did. Just make sure you have your membership card for whatever museum you have a membership at. ANYWAYS!! I've never seen such awesome sensory bags. They had gloves, fidget, ear muffs, and a really cool "sensory map" that shows symbols for what sensory stuff you can expect in an area. Something I've never seen anywhere before. Also if your kid is still scared of "big kid toilets" the bathrooms also have a smaller kids toilet. There's so much to do in this place! A really cool imagination play area with a store, hospital, bank, grill station, bakery, kitchen, fire station, and barn. This HUGE room centered around tubes and pipes with air that you can put balls in. They had a special exhibit with dinosaur stuff upstairs. There's a really cool water table that even has rain coats to keep your kid from getting wet if they or you don't want them to. Another great Autism friendly thing I wish my museum had.u This place is actually smaller than the museum where we live, but man did it pack a punch with my kid. Hand flaps all around! We spent the entire day there yesterday from 10:30-4. Then again today from 9:30-1 before we are leaving town. We spent 2 days at the zoo for the first part of our vacation, but he picked this over the zoo for his last few hours in Omaha. Can not recommend enough and even if we hadn't gotten in free with the ASTC program, I would have been happy with the money spent. WELL worth it.

My girls had. Really good time. Even my 11 year said she had a lot of fun. It's well kept and clean. I saw other reviews saying the Cafe is pricey but we ate there and it was 4 of us it was $27 but each got a slice of pizza. 3 slushies, 4 bags of chips, a bottle water, a hot dog and a soft pretzel with cheese. That seems like we got a lot for what we paid. Can't wait to go back.

If you’re looking for something for the kids, this is the place. The exhibits are all great for getting energy out, especially when it’s cold outside. There was a lot to do and see, so you could spend the day there. The little concession stand up on the 2nd floor is a great place to pause and eat, and then head back downstairs for imagination land and the gift shop. Other than it being super busy on the weekend, and the very limited parking, we had a blast. Plan to bring quarters for the street parking meters!

Absolutely AMAZING! There's so much to do, and our son loved it. The best children's museum we've been to so far.

Such a fun children’s museum! It has a ton of exhibits and interactive activities. It’s a bit smaller than some other major kids museums we have been to, but it still has a lot packed in. Our kids really enjoyed it.

So much fun! The kids had a absolute blast running around playing. There is so much to do and learn. They put on experiments for the kids and craft building. Super cool place recommend 100 percent for kids. It was clean and well kept!

AWESOME Children's Museum! So much to do that you need at least 3 hours to check out the different rooms. We spent 5 hours and my kids were still upset to leave! Plenty of areas that are designated to different kinds of play - water, pretend play (kitchens, stores, doctor, farm, dress up, etc) painting/art, kinesthetic/active, diversity (The India room 😍), plus a train & carousel ride! We will be going again!

The Omaha children's museum is a great place to spend hours with your kids. There are two floors with piano stairs in between. The main level has multiple parts/areas to it and is huge. There is a village-like play area with auto shop, bank, grocery store, Dr office, restaurant, farm, etc.. Plus a large play area for the very little ones. There is a STEAM play area with face painting, dance, and crafts. A nature room and an entire play area with different "air" ball equipment (tornado, suction tubes, ball shooters, etc.). The upstairs is their rotational exhibit (princess, dragons, dinosaurs, etc.) with a carousel and small train ride (the carousel and train are an additional cost). We always bring our lunch and sit at the picnic area or playground outside to maximize playtime. They do have a cafe upstairs if you don't want to bring your own lunch too. If you have an Omaha public library card you can reserve a pass to go to the Omaha children's museum at no cost for two adults and up to 6 kids.

We were extremely underwhelmed and disappointed by our first experience here. They do not sell tickets in advance and I was told they never sell out. Well, maybe they should because it was so absurdly crowded that there weren’t nearly enough interactive toys to go around. There were so many “broken” signs on equipment all over the facility. The grocery store shelves were literally bare- absolutely nothing to play with. I was told they only have 2 shopping carts and I counted over 20 children in the “store” looking for things to play with. All of the bins in the doctors office are empty. All of the linens and bandages in the doctors office are stained and disgusting. In the barn and the bank, there were zero toys despite multiple bins that looked like there should have been interactive materials. I don’t know where the $15/person is being spent but it certainly isn’t on replenishing items that have disappeared. We drove 2.5 hours to get there and didn’t even stay that 2.5 hours because there were too many people and it enough working/stocker interactive material to go around.

Great experience for myself and my 2 year old. There are endless activities for children to engage with. We went on a week day during the end of the day and it was as just right.

Great for the kids. The food is OVERPRICED! They don’t make sense tbh, like they could make Costco prices on the food and snacks there for kids. Danced with a robot that was dope and playing in ball room is also dope. Go have fun here for the kids but adults have fun too. ☺️

My kids think this is the best place ever. I'm concerned with some of the exhibits being out of service or missing items. The light room only had two flashlights and one was broken the first time we visited and the second time it only had one flashlight an it barely worked. Bank first exhibit was missing all the toys and the only thing that worked was the intercom system. The water table had minimal toys and needs more tubing to play with the water flow. One of people building machines was broke and the other wouldn't email the picture. The scissors in the art center didn't cut. As fun as the rest of the stuff Is, it'd be nice if they made some repairs and made some replacements of the small stuff to enjoy all of the exhibits. Oh, and on a weekend, the train was broke down which was a big disappointment since my daughter loves the train. I will still take my kids back as we bought the membership and we still have a blast.

It was a over load my 2 year old grandson was running from one area to the other. Very cool

I have mentioned this several times for the last five years, but it is still the same... When my daughter was a baby, she was shutting this window by the train and smashed her thumb because there is no gap between the handle and the frame. I can't imagine no other kid has ever been traumatized by it lol If a parent is reading this, watch your child when they play here.

Love to take my kids to let them roam and know they can’t get into much trouble. I do wish the rooms were bigger and parking lot too. So many people go at a time. Maybe an area for parents to sit. Pricing for adults is a bit much for accompanying my child. But all n all a great place!

Such a fun place to take your kiddos! There's quite a bit to do no matter their interests. Went again recently and it looks like they're changing the upstairs so it'll be nice to explore even more

Lots of fun and exciting hands on exhibits! Very diverse and inclusive. It was also chaos and a bit hard to keep track of the kids (we had 2 adults with 5 children). Overall very clean!

My 8 year old and 11 month old were both able to enjoy different things here, so definitely a place for any age. All of the activities are interactive. It was extremely clean for a kids place. The gift shop was inexpensive for a kids place. The staff were all extremely friendly. Highly recommend as a place to visit with kids.

A great place to spend hours for kids. We visited this couple of times with my son. This time they have Jurassic theme. Loved that place on second floor. Construction site, coloring place, balls zone, also have lots of other things that ll keep busy your kids for hours. Definitely ll come again.

I recently took one of my kids to this children’s museum, and it was an awful experience! The exhibits were outdated and the room that seemed to have something cool in there was closed. It was a complete waste of time and money. I wouldn't recommend this museum to anyone. If I had a good thing or 2 to say it would be the piano sounds when going up the stairs, I thought that was pretty cool, and also the fact that there was a picture of a tractor on the wall and a little toy tractor for kids to sit in and take a picture, but I wouldn’t drive all the way there and pay what they charge just for that. I may have to take my other two kids there because they’ve never been, but I’m sure it will be a one and done type of thing and then never again. Take your kids to Urbain air or the zoo instead because they will probably have more fun and perhaps learn something.

The kids love this place! So many interactive things for them to do and keep busy! It can get crowded and as a single parent with three kids, it was a job keeping an eye on them in the crowd. Just be aware of that. There is a couple exits here as well so you can't really allow them free reign and post up by the only one. That being said, the areas are pretty well sectioned off which makes visiting each one and taking time at each activity much easier. Prices for the activities that cost money aren't terribly expensive either so that was a relief on our trips budget.

Cannot say enough great things about this place. When our kids were old enough we automatically bought memberships. So worth it. Kids acting crazy and you need them to get out some energy? Go to the children's museum. Want your kids to learn something? Go to the children's museum. Too hot or rainy outside? Go to the children's museum. Is it sunny and nice out? Play on the playground outside of the children's museum and then go inside to cool off. It's worth it, it's worth it, it's worth it.

Wonderful place to educate and entertain your kids for hours. If I lived there I would definitely buy a membership pass. Totally worth the money if you have little kids.

So much fun stuff to do hear for all ages from arts & crafts, jewelry making, face painting, putting on a play, mirror maze, zip line, merry go round, train ride, grocery store, pizza shop, bank, doctors office, fire station, farm & so much more. Every age kid will have a blast here & they give a huge discount if you r a food stamp or WIC recipient.

So much to do!!! The family had a great time, children ages 2 and 6. The musical staircase and the whole upstairs area were favorites, as was the ballroom and puppet theater.

Love the Children's museum. Even though the museum was busy, the staff kept everything organized and clean. The exhibits are amazing and interactive. I highly recommend this place for families young and old, it's well worth the price of admission. Plus if you go to the museum a lot a family membership is so worth it. It's a great way to entertain kids on days when the weather makes it hard to be outside!. I love that they have a Cafe and gift shop

So much fun for our daughter - currently almost 2 years old. There was something for all ages, so we had a blast. Especially loved the water table and the play ball area. We weren't sure if it would be a good fit for her age but it was! And she was free still being under two. Would have been worth paying for her though, if she were older. Definitely recommend!

Our 17 month old son had a great time. We went on a Saturday and I do wish that we had gone on a weekday because I feel like it was a bit too busy for smaller children to properly enjoy. They have a separate area for younger kids/babies, but it is not very big. He was kinda too big for that area but too young for the other areas and constantly getting run over by the bigger kids. It is very expensive. Definitely a very special occasion place for us; although, they do have a few discount options if you qualify for them. We don't unfortunately. That being said there was a ton of cool stuff for older kids to do. There is a pretty cool water table that our son spent almost an hour playing at. So you might take an extra change of clothing with you. We plan on visiting Omaha again next year and this will be on our list to consider returning to again.
