If I could leave a zero star, that's what you would get. When I got here to check in the music in the bar area was so loud I could hardly hear the front desk guy, and he seemed irritated to have to repeat himself to me. The elevator feels like it's going to break down anytime now. The air conditioner could not keep up and it never got cool in our room. Upon taking the filters out, they obviously haven't been cleaned in quite some time as they were FULL of dirt and nasty. The wires on the phone were broken so could not even call the front desk. There's no refrigerator or microwave in the room so we could not keep our sandwich stuff or drinks cold. My son left his socks in the pool area, and we were told we could not get them until morning as front desk does not have a key to the pool. The whole building smells musty and moldy. Not super pleased with the friendliness of the staff. The whole experience was sketchy and I'm disappointed I spent money to stay here. We will NEVER be back. And I will NEVER recommend anyone to stay here.

The entire floor that my rooms were on wreaked of cigarette smoke. And on top of that, even though I had booked two side by side rooms nearly a month in advance, they were not both available. That didn't stop the front desk from making us a set of keys for the room that was supposed to be ours. I found out the room was occupied when I used the key card the receptionist gave me and saw the room was full of another hotel guests belongings. Even with the strong cigarette smell, not getting the two rooms I had booked a month in advance, or getting given keys to a room that had some random persons belongings in it, the hotel employees, including the manager Victoria, seemed indifferent about the whole situation. No compensation was offered when they didn't honor my reservation, and all the other issues were pretty much brushed off as unimportant or irrelevant.

Went to Omaha for our 1 year anniversary and stayed in the worse place possible! The smell of stale smoke and mold was horrible, the leak from the sealing was nasty and the room was muggy and wouldn't stay cool. Over priced, front desk staff didn't know what hospitality means, the restaurant down stairs was over priced and not good food! Everything was out dated, elevators were sketchy and out dated. Stains and food on our carpet, no fridge or microwave and coffee maker was broke. We've stayed at a comfort inn and suites before and they have always been nice. Wish we would have stayed somewhere else. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Older hotel. Had BED BUGS in our bed, brought bed bugs down to front desk. front desk wouldn't call manager to refund rooms, left my cell number for manager to call. No return call. Called the next day. Stating apparently he told manager about bed bugs. Informed that I have bites up and down my arms and hands from them. Stating there was nothing he can do. Informed him that I would send picture of them if I needed to. Asked to leave a message for manager stating he would try. I asked when he would be back stating tomorrow. Informed him I would call tomorrow. It was gross. They are not helpful. Do not recommend. I don't recommend 1, star I recommend 0.

I do not recommend staying here. We stayed over a weekend and it was not a pleasant stay. Sprinklers broke overnight and we had to evacuate at 1am in below freezing weather, housekeeping tried coming into our room at 7am and then called upset that we were still in the room-we had booked 2 night, restaurant was closed, the room had such a draft that even having the heat cranked to 85 it was still chilly. When we checked in we were charged $100 for a deposit and it has been over 3 weeks and we still haven't received that refund. Have called and requested call backs from managers or the GM and no one will return a call. This place is a joke.

This hotel is in an excellent location, directly next door to a gas station, as well as the interstate, making travel super convenient. It was clean and the rooms were average! Staff was helpful. My only complaint is that there always seems to be quite a bit of late night loitering. Aside from that, it was a great value!

The hotel is is trying desperately to stay relevant and in good shape unfortunately they're not quite making it. The lobby and the yard look good The elevators are very tired and shaky one even has a hole in the wall. My non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes and I was surprised when I went to call the front desk to let them know that the room didn't have a house phone. The HVAC tried it's best however it couldn't keep up. The shower control was "finicky" and took 10 minutes to get warm water.. Staff was indifferent to my issues and actually they were being down right hostile to some other guests

I am actually here now and I am shocked at how filthy the room is. This place has the potential to be so much better if it was just cleaned properly. Bathrooms are gross, urine dried on bottom of toilet, floors & carpet FILTHY, windows absolutely filthy! I even found a pill laying on the floor next to the nightstand. Also the hallways reek of weed. I am cleaning this room. I wish I could post the photos. So gross...

Wow! Just wow. This place was nothing like other comfort inns I’ve stayed at…and not in a good way. For starters the whole building is old and you can tell. Elevators shake and creak, adjoining door doesn’t close the whole way, and visible water damage. Second this place is disgusting! Yellow, brown, and red spots all over both beds, hair clumps blocking the sink and stains all over the white painted bathroom doors. And no help from the staff here, the whole ordeal started when they messed up my reservation and put me in the wrong room and they couldn’t even fix that. I wouldn’t stay here if they were giving rooms away for free. Save your money and pick one of the many other hotels in Omaha. Only bonus it’s close to 80 so at least I was close to where I needed to be to leave :(

I give an overall score of 2 stars because our front desk and shuttle customer service was AMAZING! Everything else about the stay was not good!! The elevator did not work, had to call down to front desk to have someone send the elevator up. Would have used the stairs but it said emergency exit only. Once in the elevator it smelled so bad of urine and such a tiny space, made me sick! At 8:30 a.m. I have a straight minute of knocking on the door....room service wanting to clean the room. (Checkout is noon) Had I'd known where the do no disturb sign was I would had put it on the night before, it was in the closet on the safe.

If I could give this negative stars I would! Started with making reservation which was an absolute nightmare and worst customer service I have ever experienced! Tried finding out why I was not given the discounted rate as we booked rooms for a convention there! Was told there was no one to help me and a manager was not there and would not be calling me back. One gentleman there actually hung up on me! Got to hotel for check in and waited forever to check in as had one girl working while two other sat around drinking water and the other checking her phone. Got to room and it smelled funky. Woke up next day covered in bites and pulled back bed skirt to find bed bugs! Went to front desk and offered us a hottub suite which they wanted to charge us $225 for plus a $100 for the one night we did stay! I can guarantee I will never stay at this hotel or any other Comfort Inn for that matter!! Talk about ruining a vacation!

The room was amazing and the staff was even better. The wonderful lady that checked us in, Corene, was an absolute blast to chat up while getting us our room. Hope she’s paid well, because she’s top shelf staff that any establishment would be lucky to have. She had everyone laughing and cracking up, and didn’t drop a beat come next morning walking to breakfast, and as we were walking out the door! 10/10

We chose this hotel because of the convenient location and their discount for families of hospital patients-that was truly wonderful at a stressful time! Yes, it's an older hotel but, about the only way you'd know that is because of the small elevators. It was clean, bed was comfy and the people there were friendly and very helpful! I hope someday to go back for a visit, instead of family member's surgery and would have no hesitation with staying here again!!!

First impressions: front staff was extremely rude as my boyfriend and I checked in. As we tried to get in the elevator the doors nearly closed on me and I had to jump out of the way as they did not stop even with my pushing on them. The room: really nice room, amazing hot tub, but definitely wasn't thoroughly cleaned before our stay. Toilet was gross, tub was covered in dirt and hair.. The stay: everything was fine at first, my boyfriend and I were enjoying the night when around midnight a suspicious man with a face mask tucked under his chin comes knocking at our door. I didn't answer it and after a few more knocks he walks away. Not even a minute passes before a second man does the same thing, this time claiming to be room service. Neither man worked there.. After a few knocks and waiting around for a few minutes, he shuffles something from one hand to the other that looks like a gun.. We call the front desk and warn them to call the police. They seemed very unconcerned about the situation and our and other tenants safety. They sent a security officer to check the floor five minutes later but the two men were long gone. My boyfriend and I noticed earlier that night that the back door of the hotel building did not lock, making it easy for anyone to come in. There's no telling what would have happened to us had we opened the door... Overall rating: no, I would never return to this hotel nor would I recommend anyone stay here. I would give negative stars if I could.

The front desk staff is excellent and very friendly. However I cannot give a good rating. Our room's shower had insects crawling out of the faucets and drain. It was so gross. It was worse than a $50 motel room but they charge 3 star prices. Keep your rooms cleaned of bugs!

This is an older building in a busy part of town, close to many restaurants and parks. The elevators are small, but functional. Checking in was fine, the clerk was very accommodating and gave us a nice corner room. The room was spacious. The bed was comfy and we both got a great night sleep. The room was superficially clean but if you looked closely in the corners , it could have been cleaner. The shower was strong and hot, but lots of chips in the paint in the tub. Breakfast was standard Choice fare, but they had a circular counter for the hot food which was appreciated as it kept people from blocking the waffle makers. There were 3 breakfast attendants who were working very hard to keep things full.I recommend this as a nice hotel. I read the other reviews and we did not notice any bad smells. When reading the other reviews you need to remember this is a budget hotel, not a 4 Seasons, and I think it was a great option.

Basically what all the other recent reviews have said is true. The room was comfortable enough but so outdated - why does management not put some money back into the hotel to update things? The grate was falling off our AC unit and the tub was scratched in multiple places. The TV and AC would also turn themselves off randomly. Seemed like only two elevators worked and they were all old and small. Breakfast was okay (standard hotel continental breakfast) and I didn’t get the chance to check out the pool or fitness room. This isn’t as good as other Comfort Inns I have stayed at and I would find another hotel the next time I am in Omaha.

We should have left when we entered the room. The smell of cleaning products was so strong, and it stayed with us into the next day. Not restful at all. There was trash behind the beds. The restaurant was a mistake. Elevators are small and dirty. We can all do better than this place.

This was not a good hotel, if you are used to choice hotels. Hotel smelled of smoke and mildew, bar was closed until 6 and when it opened the music loud. There were kids running through the halls. Men hanging out in the hallways. There were a group of men watching my kids in the breakfast area. The hotel security guard was yelling and degrading a patron who was talking calmly and trying to explain. Security guard threatened to call the police on him. Floors were dirty in lobby halls and rooms, corners had not been vacuumed, swept or mopped. Shower was hot then cold then hot then cold. Was close to Baxter Arena.

This place is really bad. I don’t know how they maintain their status as a Comfort Inn franchise. The entire hotel looks like it was built 4 decades ago and nothing has been updated since - the elevators feel like they will break down at any moment, the ceiling tiles above the front desk are warped, water-stained, and moldy, the rooms & hallways are dirty, everything stinks of stale cigarette smoke or lingering vomit, and the front desk isn’t consistently staffed. The rooms do not have water bottles provided (which I thought was standard for a 3-star hotel) and the staff is unsurprised when informed that something is broken & a room is unacceptable. After a whole mess with trying to obtain early check-in (it was part of my reservation - I had to contact Expedia who I booked through and get them to talk to the hotel to be allowed into my room), I was given a room on the 7th floor and found the door to the adjoining room was not secured (see photos). The deadbolt on my side of the door was broken and completely inoperable. The front desk staff assigned me another room. This one was adequate, except I discovered dried vomit along the wall, floor, and the bathroom sink. Due to time constraints, I did not ask for a new room, but when I got back to the hotel for the night I spent 30 min scrubbing the leftover vomit from the walls in an attempt to decrease the odor in the room. It was loud all night, and I had the rattling AC fan running & played music on my phone throughout the night to drown out the sounds of people and the elevator ding in the hallway that was constant until about 2 AM.

My room wreaked of cigarettes and marijuana. Loudest AC unit they could possibly find. Sheets were dirty. The other hotel guests were yelling in the hallways half the night. It's a low level motel Update: glad to see the owner copy and paste the same response he sends to every other poor review. You did not investigate anything and things will remain the same because you are a poor business owner and run a shady motel.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. The elevators, hallways and rooms smelled like ashtrays. Our room had water stains all over the ceiling. There was a used, dirty and crusty washcloth hanging in the shower. The bottom of the bathtub was cracked, discolored and appeared very dirty. The door to an adjoining room was not able to close all the way. There was a sopping wet towel left on one of the elevators. The elevators felt like they were on the verge of breaking. The noise from a wedding and/or the tiki bar could be heard all the way up in our room. There were kids screaming running around in wet swimsuits. The front desk staff offered us a different room which was equally bad and smelled even worse. We asked for a refund and were told that there was no manager or supervisor available. My daughter and I were exhausted after a 7 hour drive on our cross country trip, but we were so disgusted by the accommodations that we left and went next door to the Tru Hilton. We told the front desk staff about our experience next door and she said, “I would never stay there. We get many people who leave that hotel and come to ours”. I frankly can’t believe that hotel is still open. I will call on Monday and request a refund. If no refund is given I will call corporate until we get our money back.

  • 2/5 Naomi H. 1 year ago on Google
Front desk staff was rude. Check in lady did not explain any of the meal or pool times, did not explain how to get to our room, and was generally just very quick to rush me away. At check out I had to wait at the desk for the staff to check his personal cellphone before turning attention to me. The elevators are very outdated and the doors almost squished my son as he was walking on. The parking lot and entry way was filthy... almost seemed as if a party was held there and all the trash was just left laying around. The hotel room itself was fairly clean, but definitely needs some updating. The tub finish was chipped off a lot and the walls had chunks missing. Just a lot of wear and tear. The hotel was close to the zoo and other attractions, which was nice. But I would not stay at this location again. I would pay more for a nicer hotel.

We've stayed here 3 times. Each time I've said I'm never coming back. This time I mean it. Rooms- The rooms are lacking, the toilet lid isn't even the one for that toilet. We booked 2 rooms, one suite and the other room was supposed to be near us. We checked in and one room was on the 4th floor the other on the 7th. We checked into the 4th floor room and it smelled of smoke. We immediately said no and low and behold there was a room in the 7th floor. What's even more ridiculous is that the suite has an adjoining room that should have been booked for our stay. Elevator- The Elevators are always not working. This time it was even worse. The fact is, ownership does not want to invest any money into this property. The suite (709) has a random fridge and microwave sitting in an empty space. No counter, no love seat, it's completely ridiculous. The other room (706) didn't even have a refrigerator. There were homeless people and ladies of the night in and out of the lobby. We will never stay again. We are also premier members for choice hotels, yall should lose your Choice flag.

OMG!!!!!! The absolute worst hotel I've ever been in. The location is the only thing that might be good about this hotel. I cannot even believe that choice allows this hotel to be a part of choice hotels. This is the absolute worst comfort inn and suites I've ever stayed in. The air conditioning is total garbage. There elevator system is total garbage. There customer service is total garbage. And all the people that work here can tell you is, IT IS WHAT IT IS. Of course all the people that work here at the hotel all live here at the hotel. I went to leave and found that the have homeless people sleeping in the halls and outside. VERY UNSAFE. All the drug deals and stuff I witnessed is unreal. I will absolutely never stay at this hotel again. The owners of this hotel should absolutely be ashamed of themselves. If you have any decency about yourself, you do not want to stay at this hotel. WOW, JUST THE WORST.

Worst hotel in Omaha! Police always here. No working elevators. Horrible breakfast. Dirty rooms. Freezing pool. Poor staff. Tv was broken and they told us to google it and fix it ourselves. People screaming all night. NEVER STAY HERE!!!! I would rather sleep on my vehicle than here!! Save your money!!

This is an older hotel. Over all staff was friendly and helpful. Pro’s: We had a family room and it worked well for our group. Restaurant in the lobby had good food and great service. Con’s: Our room was on the second floor and it had a strong smoke smell in the hall the entire time. Our room had no towels when we checked in. One of our TVs didn’t work, attempt to call the front desk multiple times and no one answered. Finally reached someone on our second day and they fixed it quickly. Pool had no towels our three day stay. Ask for pool towels at the front desk on Saturday and was told they might have some the next morning. (Not helpful for kids swimming at that time). They had some sort of event in the conference room on Saturday and played loud music till after 1:30 am. Not enough parking during said event for hotel guests and event guest. No housekeeping service so anything we need had to go down to the desk and ask, as phone wasn’t answered often.

  • 4/5 marisa g. 1 year ago on Google
I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room although it could have used a deep clean scrub. The front desk refused me a new key because I wasn't my mother and my friends and I were locked out of the room for a good while until housekeeping let us back in. We where not happy with that situation! Breakfast was good but very busy, and the bar was a lot of fun!

This was place terrible! First off the front staff were very rude. It was so gross here. It’s like they tried to redo everything but it was done in a really terrible way. They just covered up stuff with paint. Left old door knobs that barely work and are two different colors on the doors. There was paint chips in the AC unit, paint of every piece of furniture. The closet door isn’t even attached. Water stains on the drop tiles. The carpet is bubbling up. No fan in the bathroom yet the bathroom vent is filled with dust and paint. The whole place just is unkept and gross feeling. Also the only good thing about the breakfast is the waffles you make yourself. The eggs were disgusting and tasted like soap. Then all night there were people/kids yelling and running up and down the hall. Probably because there was a big party in the hall downstairs and then the bar attached to the hotel. Not a place to stay if you want peace and quiet. Actually don’t even stay here. I don’t know why this place has any good reviews at all.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. It could have tons of potential. The elevators are ancient, and the doors and bathrooms suck. Lay out is nice. Front desk staff was fine. I think if they fixed up some of the things, this hotel could definitely be worth the price point.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel located at 7007 Grover Street in Omaha, NE. I stayed on Saturday, March 4th, for a large-scale event and experienced numerous issues that have left me feeling incredibly frustrated and disappointed. Firstly, the elevators were a major problem throughout my stay. Initially, only two of the three elevators were working, which resulted in long wait times and overcrowding. However, as the night went on, all three elevators stopped working altogether, leaving me and many other guests to walk up and down nine floors multiple times. This is unacceptable and completely ruins the guest experience, especially for those who may have mobility issues or disabilities. What is even more concerning is that this is not the first time I have experienced elevator problems at your hotel. I have attended several events per year at your property for the last seven years, and each time I have encountered elevator issues. One Halloween, I was even stuck for 45 minutes! It is unacceptable that this issue has not been addressed and fixed by your hotel management. It is a well-known and documented problem, and it is negligent of you to continue to ignore it. Furthermore, I would like to address the behavior of your hotel manager, Mario. He seemed generally unconcerned with genuine and valid guest complaints. As a paying guest, I expect to be treated with respect and understanding, especially when encountering issues such as the elevator problems that your hotel is well aware of. After discussing the matter on the phone when he didn’t return my phone call as promised by his staff, he felt that returning half of my stay was acceptable. I disagree vehemently; therefore, I started the process to contest the charge with my bank. Lastly, I would like to notify you that I plan to file an ADA violation complaint. The lack of functioning elevators greatly impacts guests with mobility issues or disabilities, making it difficult or impossible for them to access their rooms or attend events on other floors. This is a clear violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and it is imperative that you take immediate action to rectify this issue. In conclusion, I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at your hotel, and I expect a prompt and satisfactory response to this complaint. I will also be reporting this to corporate, and I hope that they will take the necessary actions to address these issues and ensure that future guests do not encounter similar problems.

The hotel is a nightmare. It only has 1 elevator that works out of 3, and it's still sketchy. Elevators haven't been inspected in 2 yrs so use at own caution. The staff is not very helpful. Lost count of how many times they walked in our room thinking it was empty, or booked us rooms that were already occupied. Parking is horrendous, especially on Wed, when the bar has a band playing. The bad definitely outweighs the good at this location. Do not recommend

Stayed there night and the rooms were in good shape. All the staff I encountered were great. Areas of the hotel like the elevators, stair wells, and public bathrooms were disheveled. What I'm least satisfied with is the fact that I was charged a $100 fee on hold for my room and still have not received it back and I'm sitting on day 5. It took the money instantly, why does it take this long to get back?

  • 1/5 Andrew B. 10 months ago on Google
Elevators did not go to the floor we were staying at, room reeked of cigarettes despite being labeled as non-smoking. Air-conditioning was barely working and there was bad light pollution coming from the parking lot even if you fully closed your blinds. I've had fine experiences at other comfort inns, but I would avoid this one if you can.

Stayed here for a night while on a road trip. The rooms were clean but couldn't get the TV to work but we had a good time in the pool. The food from the tiki bar was delicious and a good value, had pizza and chicken strips.

He told me they didn't take cash, nowhere did it say this. My husband went in and was mad, then the guy told me it was an extra $250 deposit if he did take cash. He was extremley rude. The room had holes in the carpet and walls, curtain were stained. The pool was nasty. We stayed here 2yrs ago and it did not look like this the staff up front were friendly, we were recognized, the room was clean with no holes and the pool was clean. I don't know what happened in the last 2 year but I will not be going back to this location.

The first time we stayed on 4th floor. Air conditioner, toilet paper holder and tub were broken. New room (next door the air conditioner sounded like it was going to die over night. The restaurant was a joke. We were told it was taco Tuesday. When we got there, there were only a handful of people in there. The waitress gave us an incorrect menu. Then when we asked about tacos (which weren't listed on the menus) she said I don't think so. I told the clerk checking out what we experienced. She apologized, and said "ask for a room on the 8th or ninth floor when you come back next week. They are nicer." Well our second stay wasn't much better. The bath tub was just as bad of shape. The shower curtain was torn in two places. The overhead light as you walk in didn't work. 1/2 keys didn't work. As we were getting on the elevator to go to dinner, a guy stopped a maid and said there was no toilet paper in his room. She said she only had one and no more. No follow up with I will make a note and make sure they bring up more. Do not waste your money on this place. Very out dated and decrepit.

I stayed at this hotel on the 25th of July. Was charged the $100.00 incidental charge. Still have not received the $100.00 charge back. I have called numerous times and talked to different people and I am told that the money was refunded but the bank has absolutely nothing showing this. Would absolutely not recommend this hotel. The $100.00 incidental fee has a way of disappearing and nobody will return it.

The room has a very very very bad dog urine odor there are stains on all of the furniture. There is black mold in the shower an the roof is caving in. The whole hotel is very hot inside (no a.c. ??) The smell is very overpowering an makes you nauseous . Pics of hotel are very deceiving very run down. They are however remodeling. Definitely would not stay here again.... (The bar was amazing an the bartender was amazing as well) The restaurant in the hotel was absolutely horrible the food was burnt the waitress didn't understand us (didn't understand what we were ordering (language barrier?) Didn't get what we ordered at all. The waitress didn't give us any utensils we had to ask for drinks an etc. She was rude an ignored everyone and the restaurants family kids were running around like crazy jumping on everything bumping into customers an grabbing the drink spouts. Very dirty. AGAIN THE BAR WAS THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THE PLACE. RESTAURANT/FOOD DISGUSTING AND RUDE!!!

Close to I80 which was only good thing. TV didn’t work (was told by front desk none were), stains on carpet, no fan in bathroom, no coffee in room, no mini fridge, stains on bathroom ceilings, no air in halls, room air sounded like someone was playing the drums, but worked, elevators small and slow…stairway looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Staff was friendly. Tiki restaurant/bar was good with good service. It’s sad. Needs a lot of work!

Please do not stay here. My husband and I booked a room because we were traveling from a 19 Hour drive and we needed to stop we booked the room we came to the location the hotel reeked of gas the minute you stepped inside of the corridor to reach the front desk. The front desk attendant was made aware of the smelling of gas, and he had stated that he was aware of it in an attitude, toned manner. He was rude. He was paying more attention to his cell phone, then to anything other than that the environment seemed extremely shady and unsafe. My husband and I are both government employees, and we have never felt more Uneasy than staying here the room was clean, but it was short of the amenities I had had stated there was no security questions such as what was our car license plate or anything honestly, this was one of those places that if you had to stop you did what you needed to do I don’t think I’ll ever stay at another comfort Inn and suites ever because of the experience I had at this one not only did it smell of gas, but it also reeked of marijuana.

I brought the grandchildren for an overnight stay so we could take in the Zoolightful experience! We had the three bed room. Other than really being run down, the room was pretty good . There were two TVs and only one worked. Both remotes were in really bad condition! I attached a picture of one of the remotes. We used the pool once and the water was so cold that we couldn’t stay in very long! Breakfast was just a standard hotel breakfast. Overall it was a good place to stay but really needed updates!

Worst hotel experience ever! Booking the rooms (6 rooms) was a disaster and checking in was even worse. Our room keys never did work, even after we got new ones, which was so inconvenient. One of our rooms had a man walk in, in the middle of the night, as front desk booked the room again. Had to use the back door all night as front lobby door was out of order, bar was out of order. Elevators took forever. Our closet door was hanging off. And there wasn't even a bar for the toilet paper holder. Rooms were not very nice or clean. Will never stay there again.
