This was a horrible place to stay. If I could give it a zero I would. Which makes me a little sad because we were excited to stay in a zoo themed hotel with the kids. The only thing that I have nice to say is the staff was nice. The hotel smells musty when you walk in. I was hopeful the room would be better. I was wrong. The room was musty smelling as well and had hint of cigarette smoke smell. The beds where rock hard. One of the beds was caved in on one side so the sleep was not great. The bathroom had mold in the bath tub. The bathtub bottom was pealing up. The sink was falling off the counter. (under-mount sink) the tiles where cracked. The wall paper was starting to peel off the walls. The was tape holding the seems together. We really wanted to ask for a refund but didn't because we were tired from our travels and figured we could make it work for one night. The pool was green. They also where not serving breakfast due to "COVID" concerns. When every other hotel we had stayed at on this trip was offering breakfast. Really wish we would have asked for a refund.

Great location if you are going to the zoo, but the photos on their website don't do it justice. Best described as worn, dirty halls, and poor security. There is no elevator. The door closest to our parking had a broken room card reader and was propped open with a chunk of concrete every time we passed it. Mouse traps, plural, in the rooms. Hole burned in the bedding. Everything smelled of cigarette smoke. Could have used a second cleaning - or something to kill the mildew in the bathroom. Would have left fewer stars, but I was honestly glad the advertised free breakfast was not available.

Room was comfortable. Shampoo and conditioner were only half full; obviously not replaced from a previous guest. No cups for coffee maker. No maid service after our first day. Made me wonder about cleanliness. Breakfast was meager. Not what I expected from the Choice Hotel brand.

I would suggest staying away from this place. Just look at how many 1 star reviews there are. The person at the desk was nice when I had to ask for things, multiple times. Booked a room with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa. The bathroom had 2 towels for us. I had to go to the front desk to ask for more towels. The sleeper sofa was broken and wouldn't sit all the way on the ground. They also had no blankets for the sleeper sofa, as in no blankets in the entire hotel to give us. No breakfast, signs posted due to COVID-19. Though previous reviews said no breakfast due to construction. We booked this specifically for the location to the zoo and because it offered free breakfast. They should say least inform you before you arrive. The pool was disgusting, dirty and very cold. Our room was horrible. Dirty, the bathroom was moldy and we had tons of fruit flies. I killed over 50 and there was still more in the morning. Garbages at the entrance and the dumpster where both over flowing with garbage. The side door entry did not work. No elevators. It's great fun to load and carry stuff for 5 people onto the second floor, especially when your room is not near the stairs. We saw a mouse in the hallway run into a different room. Just hope that room wasn't occupied. The screen on our window was torn apart had multiple holes. I can't make this stuff up, it was just bad in most every way possible.

This is a 'budget' hotel so I didn't come in with high expectations. The location is very convenient if you're visiting the Omaha Zoo. The hotel is within walking distance right across the interstate from the zoo with plenty of nearby options for eating out. Staff was courteous and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. The place is, however, in dire need of a face lift and updates. Pricing was acceptable. Would stay here again when going to the zoo.

Would give this a Zero star if that was possible. Hospitality was non-existent because the guy checking people is was the maintenance worker. I give him credit for trying though as the other person just left because her shift was done. Then getting to the room..... gross! Cleanliness was also not a priority; Burns on the comforter, no smoke detector and overall very run down. We picked this location because it was close to the zoo and had a pool. We checked into another hotel asap!

This place has a nice location, but seems to have a lot of riff raff hanging around inside. The police were called twice by the front desk to remove people staying there. The motel itself is fairly new, the lobby attractive. The room was large, although furniture seemed old and maybe not really belonging there. The bathroom tub was ugly and stained, no towels, no extra toilet paper, and one tube of shampoo that looked to be partly used. Good room rate since we only needed one night, but trying to get any sleep was next to impossible. We were awakened many times from 9pm (we needed to leave early, so early bedtime), till 2 am. My husband actually went to the lobby to see what all the noise was about at one am. Numerous blacks were milling around, some he recognized as cleaning staff. They were loud and boisterous. We could hear people going up and down the stairs, calling to one another till 2 am. He said no one appeared to be in charge. Oh, for coffee drinkers, no in room coffee pot.

This is probably one of the worst Comfort Inns we've ever stayed at. Entire facility is worn and dirty. No coffee maker in the room. No hair dryer in the room. Water in the pool is green. Staff is indifferent. Breakfast room had a loaf of bread and some bagels with nothing but butter to put on them. Only one plus - the beds were comfortable. Pretty sad place.

Stay away! We booked a room here due to the close proximity to the zoo and the pictures online looked decent. We didn’t even get to the front desk before turning and leaving. We took one look at the bright GREEN pool water and walked away as fast as we could. Luckily we were able to get a room at a much cleaner hotel. Don’t waste your time or money.

Had booked a 2 night stay, but checked out early after not sleeping at all the first night and just booked another room at a Hilton. Sadly this hotel doesn’t offer any refunds. The staff hardly said any words to me when checking in/out. The pictures are clearly from when this was first opened. It wasn’t clean whatsoever. The entire 2nd floor smelled like weed. While the rest of the building smelled very musty. The pool had green water. Only one light bulb in our entire room worked. The toilet ran all night and when flushed it made a terrible screeching noise for a minute straight. The bedding had visible dirt on it as did the towels and bathtub. I had booked for a courtyard view room with a king bed and was given a queen bed with a view of the street. And even though I had stayed on the 2nd floor it was able to be accessed from the outside on the ground? I felt very unsafe staying here. I would not recommend especially if you have children.

Absolutely awful experience with this hotel. We checked in and checked right back out within thirty minutes. The lobby, hallways, and rooms smell like must and weed, half the doors are broke and don’t lock. The walls had stains both in the room and the hallway, bathroom was dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned. Didn’t even want to sleep on the bed because everything felt disgusting. If I could give this review less than one star, I definitely would.

I've stayed here numerous times when family members out of town visit. It is affordable and well placed for travelers, however it is a little out dated. The pool never feels entirely clean when we are there, and last time we went there was poop from some kid floating in the pool and they ended up closing down the rest of the stay. I'm glad they closed down though instead of leaving it open! That shows they are trying to keep it clean, and it was such a text book humorous situation for a closed pool. The rooms feel grimey but are pretty spacious. Every room is exactly the same for the most part. The carpets do not feel clean, I think they could do with an extraction. The furniture feels the same way, but luckily the beds are pretty decent. It is definitely livable and good for a short stay, things just could be a little better. It is great for road trips who need a bed, right off the interstate and maybe want to spend a few days here. For a nice vacation style place though I would go elsewhere. It is a pretty decent 3-star hotel.

Upon arrival the room that we booked ON THE HOTEL WEBSITE couldn’t be located because the hotel had been recently sold and now you could only book under expedia since their card reader was also down. So we have to wait to get a refund from whoever took our money since it’s apparently a third party and they don’t know when that is, and book again and spend more money. The hotel was dirty, EVERYWHERE. Like. Everywhere. The lobby. The stairs. The hallways. The pool. The public bathrooms. It looks like it hasnt even been spot swept in months, like, I know I’m spending less than $100 for a hotel but. Have they ever mopped? Our room REALLY REALLY BADLY SMELLED OF CIGARETTES. Like. 50 years of smoke. Our room had no towels, and up front was extremely nice about it, it just seems to be extremely understaffed, she talked about having to run the washers and dryers herself. I don’t know how she had the time. Hotel staff was super nice and definitely trying their best but seemed extremely overwhelmed for the situation.

DONT BE FOOLED BY THE CHEAP PRICE! Pay for something else - we booked our room 4 weeks ago. Called to confirm yesterday, good to go. Showed up to check in & they sold our rooms! Despite us already paying for our rooms in FULL! The lobby was disgusting - the front service guy was hanging out playing computer games with 10 year old little boys. Weird. He was not apologetic & basically told us to leave & find somewhere else

Beds are comfortable but only 2 towels in bathroom no soaps no coffee pot had to move the microwave around to find a working outlet room smelled funky I went and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned it myself and plug in air freshener to combat the smell pool looked gross. First night stay front clerk was rude said we had no reservation. The girl that was there for the weekend was really nice and helpful. Breakfast area was very messy even at 5pm when we came back cereal was everywhere. For the most part it wasn't horrible but make sure you bring your own supplies.

ZERO RATING. I reserved a suite on Saturday, April 15. They don’t have suites! There was a homeless person in the lobby. We were given a room on the 2 floor and the hallways had trash and several doors were missing their door knobs. The room smelled of pot! We walked right back out to get another room, they couldn’t guarantee a different room would be any better. I asked for a refund, they said to contact who you booked the room through. It is really unfortunate that it is giving the Zoo a bad reputation.

The pros: The Staff here was wonderful which is what kept me from complaining in the moment. The cons: I'll start at the beginning from when we drove up; the wooden doors around the garbage dumpsters looked broken and were wide open to the garbage dumpsters out front. It stunk and showed a mess. The curb appeal was not good. The front doors were very hard without using the handicap button. I was kindly greeted and started to check in when another employee came up and went to the cabinet behind the counter, he opened the cabinet and the door was hanging on my one hinge, showing it to be broken and not in good order. I went out to get my husband to start bringing things in. The carts for luggage were very small and required us to make multiple trips. Upon going down the hallway, the paint on the walls was not done well and showed careless application. We opened the door to find walls marked up and showed water damage in several spots. There was some sort of weird white residue on the floors in the bathroom (almost looked like caulking or grout). The popcorn ceiling in the bathroom was peeling and falling off. There was no cover over the ceiling light fixture and only 1 out of 4 light bulbs in the bathroom worked. The towel rack was broken. There appears to be mold growing in the caulking in the shower. The grout in the bathroom wall near the door looked to be coming out. The bathroom felt so gross, my husband and I both showered with our flip flops on. The carpet squares were lifting up in the main area of the room. The window had a bunch of chipped paint. The top of the AC unit was very dirty and caked in dust. The sign on the front door said to use the side door after hours however our key cards didn't work on that door so we propped it open when we had to leave. Needless to say, we got enough sleep to hit the road again to head out. We didn't stay a second longer than we needed to.

Would rate a ZERO if I could. One of the most disgusting hotels I have ever seen. What they show on the website, vs. what you get you arrive are complete opposite. I wouldn't let my dogs stay here. Everything was disgustingly dirty. There was old, broken furniture from the rooms just thrown in the field across the street from the "hotel." Classy. In the room, mold in several places, stains on the bedding, dried food/liquid all over the walls, hairs in the tub, and on the towels. There was some stain on the bathroom floor, and in one of the drawers. No bible.

The room we were first assigned was gross. The bed spread had spots, the towels were soiled, the bathroom counter was dirty, and the door didnt work! The front desk and maintenance personnel are exceptional! The hotel itself is a dump! It's not up to the front desk person to check rooms EVER! It's the managers responsibility to review each room and determine if the room is clean enough for guests to stay. The young man at the front desk was kind courteous and could have easily blamed everyone else for the issue but didn't. He ensured we were put into a clean room and thanked us for our patients. This hotel absolutely needs to keep employees like this one!! Your employees get you two stars.

We got there late and drove straight through only stopping when necessary as we were told our reservation would be canceled after 2am even though our online reservation said it would be held till 7am. We arrived to a lady with her dog and all of her possessions sitting out front of the hotel. Another man was pacing back and forth, which made us nervous. There was trash overflowing from the dumpsters. At check in the guy working was very nice but was on his cell phone on speaker phone with idk who saying rude things. We were told the side door would let us into the hotel, it didn’t work at all even after we told the front desk it wasn’t working. They told us to just prop it open when we needed it. There is a sign on the door that says, “Do not prop this door open. Thank you, Management” The carpet inside the stairwell, hallway, and room was stained and hadn’t been vacuumed in a long while. My husband went and got out blankets from our vehicle because the comforter and blanket were stained. The second Queen need was not attached to the frame or headboard and one of our girls fell off it when it tipped up as she sat in the corner. There were no wash clothes in the the entire room and only 1 regular bath towel. We were glad we had all our toiletries as there were none. We used hand soap we had picked up along the traveling we had been doing. We told the front desk about not having anything and they said “oh, here are some towels” 🙄 There was no breakfast and no sign saying there was no breakfast till after a lot of guests asking about it. They said the reason for no breakfast was they were remodeling. The only sign of that was door knobs removed from some of the doors and the painters tape strung up everywhere. Our room never got cool no matter how low we set the air conditioner, and it smelt musty. The pictures and hotel write up were so promising and we were highly disappointed to what we ended up having. When we checked out, there were three others checking out and complaining about the stay they had. Front desk didn’t seem to care. They have such a great location being so close to one of the best zoos but we will definitely drive further to stay somewhere better.

The were very accommodating and understanding. Every single staff member I interacted with was kind. Whatever they make, they all deserve a raise. I stayed with a bigger puppy and we are still working on manners and such. They did not make me feel judged or criticized and I appreciated that very much.

We walked into a lobby full of kids running around, assumingly unsupervised. They were even behind the front desk. Had to wait a short while for an employee, he said he was helping another guest. He checked us into our room but when we got to it there was no electricity! No lights or outlets would work so we asked, he said we went to the wrong room. We tried the second room but there was profanity graffitied on the door so we opted to stay in our current room. There was also no towels available for us. When asked, he said none were available until tomorrow... So much for a shower.

I could not believe that this place calls itself a Comfort Inn. To begin with they didn't know which rooms they had guests staying in so I was given a key upon check-in to a room where someone was sleeping. I went back to the desk got a key for a room on the second floor. There was a door that had the handle and lock smashed off just lying on the floor in the hall. The carpets were filthy and smelled, there is what appears to be mildew stains on the ceilings and wall. The paint was cracked and chipped. I went into the second room -- there were no light bulbs in any of the fixtures, the lampshade had a sticky stain on it and there were no curtains. I went back to the desk -- the third room also had someone sleeping in it. In addition there were hotel employees hanging around the desk who apparently were staying there and kept talking about how they didn't have any light bulbs and there weren't enough linens for the hotel. Until this place undergoes a renovation and management change I would avoid completely. Choice Hotels is clearly not doing a good job enforcing its brand standards in this area.

Our check-in staff person, Corinne, was absolutely fantastic to us! No frills hotel but price reflects this. Clean air conditioned rooms at a great price. AWESOME staff and maintenance personal. (Ernesto is awesome, as well!) Will definitely stay here again next time I pass through flyover country! A+!

This place was absolutely DISGUSTING! Walking into the property I saw police and was told they had been called on several people staying there three different times. When I first arrived the first room I was given I couldn't enter because the doorlock didn't work. When I was given the second, there was no washcloths or towels. I went to the front desk, was given towels, and was told the hotel didn't have washcloths "We don't have any." When I asked for clarification I was told "That's just the type of place you're staying at man." I went to buy my own. The halls were dirty. The tub had rust stains. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. There was garbage all around the property. On my first night at 3am, someone climbed in between an area of rooms and the building next door, banged on my window, looking for someone named Jamie. I did not feel safe after that. The venting system in the hall had panels knocked out with alcohol bottles stuffed inside. There is no breakfast as advertised! The pool was closed. This place is a place for transients. The only good part is the first shift lady was nice. DO NOT STAY HERE! You've been warned.

We booked this hotel thru booking because the price was right, it was very close to the zoo and it looked amazing from the pictures. When we got there, there was homeless people all around the hotel, we got inside the staff was extremely rude. He said that he wasn't sure if they had anymore double bed rooms even though we had already booked a month in advance. Finally he came back and said he did have one room left, we got the room key went up to find our room and the entire place smelt like smoke. The walls all looked as though the paint was falling off and doors looked like they had been kicked in. The air vents were missing and most of the lights were out in the hallways. We get to our room, before opening the door we noticed the profanity on the door in hot pink writing and the peep hole on the door was missing. We open the door hoping it wasn't as bad inside and see the beds only had 2 pillows total, for 4 people and no blankets. We went back up to the desk as we didn't feel comfortable staying there and the guy at the front desk says the owner dresses up the pictures posted online. We got a refund and left to find another hotel. I strongly do NOT recommend this hotel!!

Let this place be your last consideration to spend your vacation. It is disgusting, the wallpaper is peeling from the stairwell and in the rooms, it’s so ironic that they have a sign at the front Desk about not smoking in the rooms but the rooms are disgusting. They smell, but after a few days, your body and your clothes get used to that smell and the area where they serve breakfast. I saw a few roaches never eat there, and I would never stay there again. It’s horrible. The photographs that on Google. Those must’ve been taken about 10 years ago maybe. I paid $65 a night, with what I know now I would’ve paid a dollar for that room or just to stay there. You’ve been warned don’t waste your money. If I can give all zeros, I would.
