My family held the 105th reunion at this hotel. They provided a discount rate on rooms and the facility and service is excellent! We held the banquet and dance in the ballroom. There was plenty of room and the worked so (SO) hard to accommodate us. The food was awesome. The served real smoked brisket, that was perfectly cooked, sauteed green beans and some of the best mashed potatoes ever. I spoke to the host and she thought we held the reunion every five years, but it's a yearly event that's even covered by the local news. I am sure the family will select this hotel again!! Very well done!!!

Very close to restaurants and the parking ramp is awesome. It was raining while we were there but never had to walk through the rain because our car was covered the entire time. Service was super awesome and the rooms were extremely clean.

Clean enough hotel, what I would expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. But the lighting in the room absolutely sucks! They have a couple of accent lights that at least illuminate the room, but the room is very dark overall. And there’s absolutely no light over the desk. So if you plan on working at the desk in any form or capacity, it’s dark! I am a Diamond Member at Hilton, I will not be staying here again!

I am a Hilton Diamond member so I stay at a lot of different Hilton properties. Overall my experience was NOT UP TO HILTON STANDARDS. Let's start with the positive though. Fitness room has a couple of above average options available including dumbbells up to 75 lbs & a Peloton. They have other cardio machines & a cable weight resistance machine. My room was a mixed experience. Bedroom portion in fairly good condition & bed was comfortable. The chair & work area desk etc. was ok. I appreciated there was a shower stall in the bathroom instead of a tub but the caulking along bottom of shower was both dirty black & orange rust colored/stained. Definitely showing signs of not being cleaned well. My Kleenex box was almost empty when I checked in & only had a couple of Kleenexes left. Hotel had texted me right after check-in & asked if room was okay & I let them know that I needed a new Kleenex box/that mine was empty. Next day housekeeping cleaned my room, took the one single remaining Kleenex out of the box, folded into a decorative shape, & stuffed it back into the top of the box. 1 Kleenex. So, housekeeping knew I had a single Kleenex remaining, HANDLED (folded) it & left it there for me to use. Front desk didn't ever address my request so ultimately I had to go down to the front desk & get a new box of Kleenex. My overall breakfast experience was poor. Breakfast area space itself was nice but first morning I went to the buffet & there were no eggs available. I asked if there were any eggs to order from the kitchen as an omelette & the NON-FRIENDLY waitress said "NO, there are no eggs". Like I was irritating her by even asking. No explanation & no apology. FYI Walmart is a couple of blocks away from hotel. So I dished up & ate what was available. Waitress hadn't come after a few minutes so I just ended up going & getting a glass of water for myself. There were only a couple of other people in the breakfast area so she absolutely was not busy. Of course they still charged full buffet price regardless of the lacking options. The second day I went down for breakfast & there were eggs available in the buffet. They were instant eggs & they were a very unusual granular texture. I'm not sure if it was the brand of instant eggs or the way they were prepared but the texture & taste was terrible. I was short on time otherwise I would have just ordered an omelette & avoided them entirely. Same experience the second day with drinks too...not busy but slow service. Overall, just a poor food & service experience. Considering the price they charge for it, it was absolutely NOT worth it. Hotel has a covered garage area but when you check in coming from parking garage you don't have a key to access the hotel so you have to go out onto the street dragging your suitcase along through snow & slush (unshovelled sidewalk) to go get to hotel front door. This was mid-afternoon so why is the door from the garage inaccessible to get into the hotel? Front door is unlocked. I'd understand if it was key-only later at night for security purposes but garage access to hotel should be an option earlier for check-ins.

Overall was good. I did the research and seen there was a “fee” for breakfast and I had no issue paying for it. When I went there in the morning, I was greeted a little rudely by a gal that reminded me it cost 15 dollars and 34 cents to eat the breakfast and none of it was free. I really didn’t care it was $14 or even if it was $20. I’d like to think people will pay for convenience and I did just that. Only suggestion would be to have a sign up or just coach the staff to be a little nicer. Not a deal breaker and maybe she just had a bad day. The one thing I did notice is every staff member would say hi to me when I would walk by them. Reminded me of Scheels. Great concept and saying hi to everyone matters. Food: C+ Room: A

We needed a stopover while returning home from Ragbrai bike tour. We made the reservation through Hilton honors and was very pleased with the service. When we arrived at the hotel it was 10:45 pm and the sign says use key card at 11pm. When I looked inside at the staff they asked on the intercom if I had my key card. I replied, no I’m checking in. When the door did not open, the staff again asked if I had my key card. At this point, I am tired and this is unacceptable. I repeated, no I need to check in? They reluctantly opened the door for me. They were not friendly at all upon our arrival. When I made the reservation I stated we would be late checking in since we had a long distance to travel from. I asked for waters and they were really kind of rude about that too. The rooms were fine. Modern and updated. Clean. I have a few suggestions. Please put a bed bug cover around the mattress so I don’t need to inspect the entire bed. Speaking of the mattress, it was okay but not up to Hilton standards. Please install another towel hook in the bathroom. The room needs more lighting as well but we were so tired we didn’t care as much about that. Finally the location was very noisy, I’m not sure if it was a bar or what nearby but there was very loud music until late and the room was not insulated to prevent that from disturbing us. We also could hear a very loud room gathering near us. Seemed like attendees for work conference going on nearby as the elevator was packed getting up to our room with people attending some sort of event/conference. Not sure I would stay here again. We are planning to walk and get breakfast this morning. Will update that.

I am giving it 3 stars. It would have been 5 stars, but the hotel staff did not make me feel welcome. I loved the location. I was near plenty of shopping centers and close to downtown. I also loved how there was free parking. I had a great parking spot during my entire stay. My room was spacious and clean. The staff was not friendly at all. I did not feel welcomed during my check-in. During my entire stay not a single staff member smiled at me or was friendly. I even made a random funny joke and the staff member did not laugh or smile. It felt very odd. I spoke to a staff member when I entered the hotel and she did not smile or speak to me back. I had to check out a day earlier than expected. The staff member did not show concern, or anything. The way i was treated made me feel like I did not belong there. It did not feel good at all.

This is a very barebones yet expense hotel. The pool is very small, no hot tub, no room service, there is bar/grille in the hotel if you want to have okay food for upscale prices. it cost $15 for the breakfast buffet that many hotels would offer with the cost of the room. Luckily there is a couple of places within a few blocks - Like Jones Cup cakes that offers huge omelets for half the cost. It did serve my need for a hotel room close to the office I was visiting and the room was clean. There was a random call at 3am to everyone in the hotel which was not great. There computer system was down when we stayed so that might have something to do with that. I had to call to get my itemized receipt and figure out why I was charged for extra services. Customer service was nice and we were able to figure it out.

I wanted to give this hotel more stars, but our experience was poor this stay. Location was difficult to get to, and once we parked in the garage, we had to walk all the way around to get in to check in because we didn't have key card to open. We struggled with door keys, but this was resolved. The room itself was pretty clean except for the shower, and there was minimal night light. The main problem was noise. Children were running around the hall and slamming doors for HOURS despite being reported. now sure I would recommend this stay

I stay at a lot of Hilton properties but this one is definitely on my list of never to return to again. As we walked in our first evening on 5/11, the night shift lady behind the desk (Sarah), acted like we were an inconvenience to her with a what do you want, why are you bothering me attitude. She was very unaccommodating with the simplest reasonable request I had of a few additional free waters (4 total) being my wife and myself are staying 5 days. I even went as far as to asked if can get a few more with my Diamond status and she responded “you can buy more if you want more!” I will compliment the rooms and building, they are nice and modern, but all that glamor fades away the moment you lay you head down on the rock hard mattress preventing any kind of quality sleep. The earlier encounter at the front desk made me not even want to call down and see if there was another room available with a softer bed. The bed and horrible encounter with the front desk staff makes me dread the next 4 nights here. If I didn’t pay for this trip in Hilton points, I’d be changing hotels today. Update: Kelly the GM and the morning staff were great! They went above and beyond to address my concerns and made every effort possible to make the bed softer; I still can’t say the same for Sarah though. We walked in tonight on evening 2 and she was still unprofessional as ever!

Very nice hotel with great location to many dining options walking distance. Free parking also in a covered garage. I’m a diamond member and travel extensively. Danny the young lady at the front desk was one of the best I have encountered in a very long time at any Hilton property. Very professional and personable. She upgraded me with my diamond status which means a lot when I travel. I wanted to give her credit where it is deserved!

Initially check in went ok, the clerk had to take my card twice. Went to our room laid down to nap before our event. Two ladies walk in with luggage. Front desk calls, apparently we were put in the wrong room. Additionally, the clerk attached my credit card to the wrong room. They say its all corrected and we are good. No extra charges for the room change . The next day, leave to go out and explore. Come back and our room keys do not work. We go down to the desk and express the problem and our frustration. While they did fix the room key issue, the front end managers only response was "oh no".. Oh and breakfast is an extra charge.

Awesome hotel. This Hilton has an incredible staff. They all were friendly and helpful. The evening staff/supervisor was awesome helping me check in and assisting me with a few items I forgot. The bartender was friendly, enjoyed visiting with his guest and helpful. He engaged us in conversation and we talked like old friends. He made you feel welcome and like you were at your favorite bar at home. I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed over the night on a work trip. I didn't get to use the max amenities or really get a good judgment but, based on the little amount of stay that I did have, I would stay again! The front desk ladies that were working, were extremely helpful. They have garage parking for their guest as well. Until you get a room key, you have to enter in the front entrance. Then, after you get a room key you can enter and exit from the garage entrance.

Great service from the staff, they are always helpful and friendly. The location is ideal, aksarben is a lovely area. The hotel is really well kept, always tidy and clean, with a great restaurant, bar and facilities.

Bathroom shocking. Shower dirty & rusty. Notified front desk & they gave me the business card of the man in charge. I emailed him & left phone message. No return call or email. It's been almost week. I was hoping to get the matter taken care of & not have to post a poor review. But obviously no one there cares. Also the wallpaper was coming off in bathroom. This motel is not up to Hilton standards.

Hotel was located a 5-10 minute drive from the I 80. I was traveling east and looking for something for the night in Omaha. Great hotel. Worth the drive out of my way.

Overall I'd recommend staying at this Hilton Garden Inn. I was a bit wary after the check-in but once that got sorted, the rest of the stay was top notch. A little bit about the check in. I booked this hotel and the room (king executive suite) with Hilton rewards. When I got to the hotel, I checked in with a young man that asked for my ID and then gave me two room keys. No mention of our Hilton Honor Gold status, no discussion on the hotel amenities and breakfast credit, etc. When I inquired, he was confused and had to ask for assistance. The woman working with him filled me in with the particulars. When I got to the room, it was standard double queen. When I returned to the front desk, there was confusion around the reservation as I was informed "that central booked the room and they (the local hotel) didn't make any changes to the reservation." Something for Hilton reservations to look into I suppose. After some back and forth - and thankfully saving my confirmation email, the issue was corrected. After an apology and some free drinks from the pantry, all was settled. The rest of our experience was great, including the staff at the onsite restaurant. Super helpful and accommodating my child. One item to note, the breakfast offering is full breakfast, but the price is about $3 more then the credit offered to Gold and Diamond members, so expect to pay a little for the breakfast (unless you choose the continental option which was pretty meager in my opinion). Would stay here again. And with structure parking attached to the hotel - a life saver given the severe weather that occurs in the region.

This is a great location. Plenty of free covered parking. Close to restaurants within walking distance. Great walking/biking trail across the street. Two coffee shops close by. Nice bar and lounge area.

Overall great stay! My young daughter and I stayed here just shy of a week. The staff are all SUPER nice! I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant as most of the food tasted previous frozen and watery. But overall the stay was quiet, calm, and fun at the pool.

Only come here for work. They do no change sheets or towels unless you request. Came in late and a computer bag was left out and no one was manning the front door. Checked the bag to make sure one of my coworkers did not leave their computer. And she came at me like I was trying to steal the bag lol. If she was that worried then put her bag in a secure location to were it doesn’t look like it was lost. Poor experience at this location and will go court yard next time.

Stayed here as a stopover on a cross country move. Everything was great. We didn’t know anything about Omaha and I was hesitant about staying outside of downtown, but Aksarben Village was such a great location! Better than downtown for sure! Every Sunday there’s a large farmers market right next to the hotel, which was super fun. There’s so much dining within walking distance, with some vegan options at nearby restaurants. There were plenty of walking trails right behind the hotel through parks and through the cute village. The rooms were clean, quiet, and had a microwave and fridge - everything we needed for our stop. The little market downstairs had plenty of snacks and beverages available. We didn’t use the pool because it was small, crowded, and smelled like a gym. The parking was free in a garage next door. It seemed secure, but anyone is allowed to use it. It’s not just for hotel guests. There is an entrance to the hotel lobby from the first level of the garage. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. I included photos of the view from the room and of the village just a couple minutes walk away.

Awesome experience. Easy access with quiet, updated room and very comfy bed. Check in was a breeze and staff were very welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic Stay! The location is excellent with many places to visit nearby. Front desk Service was excellent (Maria) as well as the bar. There is independent seating outside for hanging out. Rooms were clean. The only suggestion we have is a make-up mirror in the bathroom.

TLDR; The hotel is brand new, beautiful, and staffed with very caring professionals but the rooms are missing a lot of common sense. Spent the night to attend a local event and had mixed feelings about or stay. Beautiful building with a good location and wonderful staff made it very easy and pleasant but the polish rubbed off when we made it to our room. The first inconvenience was the keyless door lock. It didn't work and when I had to go back downstairs to get a key the polite gentleman at the counter didn't seem surprised. The rooms are over engineered soundproofing did a great job of drowning out the outside world so well that it made the room deafeningly quiet. With the absence of sound , and lack of a real door to the bathroom, it eliminated any form of perceived privacy. Speaking of bathroom the shower heads are trash and the lack of hand soap at the only sink was a bit disturbing in a post COVID world. The next morning we ate breakfast at the restaurant on the main floor and ordered off the menu. Again the staff was great but the food left something to be desired. I will probably stay here again when we are back in the fall and I look forward to seeing what improvements they have made.

Overall, the stay was nice. The staff was friendly, the rooms were nice and adequate, and there were no issues at all. I really appreciate having a gym in the hotel. And I really love a Keurig coffee maker in the room! Small changes I would make: install improved shower heads/ hose, install shampoo/soap pumps in the shower, and fix the exercise bike.

Great hotel and a phenomenal staff! Kim at the front desk was so spunky and helpful! The food is great, rooms are clean and spacious and the area has a lot to offer.

Sarah at the front desk was a fantastic help. Our room was incredible (thanks for the upgrade) and was quiet, cozy, and the ideal accommodations for the night. Parking is a breeze, and the location is pretty neat. Would definitely stay again.

A great hotel within walking distance to many restaurants and offices in the Aksarben area. The rooms were clean, the beds were nice, and I enjoyed my stay! The staff helped me with a mess up in bookings and were generally pleasant. If you have a meeting in the area, or just a nice hotel to stay in Omaha, I’d recommend this place!

  • 1/5 James G. 1 year ago on Google
Overall the single star really only achieved because of the location. Walking distance to essentially anything you’d be in Omaha for. The rest, changed rooms twice due to room smell. Pet store is the only way to accurately describe the smell. Putrid to say the least. Beyond that, the restaurant was under staffed and we sat for around 30” before leaving. In that 30” my wife approached the wait staff and retrieved our menus, never once did a waiter approach our table. Needless to say, not what we expected given the other reviews.

Very attentive and friendly staff, stayed for 2 days. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Park close by along with lots of places to eat Would definitely stay again if in the area.

I booked a room on 7/23 for my elderly parents who were in town for a concert at the Holland Center. I checked in online and stated they would be arriving after 10 pm. By the time we got them to the hotel it was about midnight. They stopped by the front desk and grabbed a room key and went to their room to find SOMEONE SLEEPING IN IT! Hilton garden inn had given their room away AFTER we had checked in! There were no other rooms available and the man at the front desk was not kind or helpful. After an hour in the lobby calling other hotels, we gave up and went to buy an air mattress. After looking at the credit card account on Monday I saw we were charged!!! I called the hotel and spoke to Kelly (who I believe is a general manager) he apologized and said he would credit our Hilton rewards account with 10k points. At the time we've never really paid attention to how the point system works. After hanging up I looked into it and realized 10k is only about 1/4th of the way to a one night stay (insert eye roll). After a couple days the points hadn't been credited so I called again and spoke to Kelly. He apologized again and said he would bump it to 25k. A week later they are still not in our account. I called and spoke to Connie (very pleasant lady) and she said she would let Kelly and the other manager (I believe her name was Rita?) know. Days later- NOTHING! I called AGAIN and spoke to Connie and she told me again she would let the managers know. And you guess it, days later, NOTHING! I am done wasting my time. They obviously don't care about their customers. I will never book a hotel there again. I still don't believe that the points are worth the hassle my parents went through, it was just the principle and Hilton garden inn FAILED MISERABLY.
