You get what you pay for. Told several times before arriving, we would be able to check in early, (3pm) we had to be at a wedding by 4:30. Arrived at 3pm as we were told. The counter staff said we were not able to check in until 4 pm. After several entertaining moments, we were told to wait 10 minutes for your room to be cleaned. We got to our room at 3:35. My wife wanted a cup of tea, went to the cupboard, and took a mug from the shelf. It was filthy and sticky. Check all other dishes, and all were just as bad. Opened up the dishwasher, removed the strainer, and discovered that it was covered in calcium build-up. I have been in building services for over 40 years and have never seen anything this bad. A simple cup of white vinegar once a month will prevent this. Carpet badly stained, in need of removal and replacement. Closet sliding doors were in need of repairs, vent fan in the bathroom needed to be replaced. The entry door was in bad need of repairs as well ( screws falling out of hinges), did not seal properly. The furnace/ac unit filter was installed improperly, i.e., incorrect size, and was very dirty as well. Do not stay here. That is my advice . If it was properly maintained, it would be a nice place to stay. Maybe other rooms are in better shape. But not room 1023. Stay away from this one!!

Upon check-in we were told we were on the 2nd floor. No elevators so we asked to be changed to the 1st floor. Denied - none available. When we got into our room there was no remote for the TV. Called the front desk - maintenance stated the TV was out of order. Requested a new room. We were then given a FIRST FLOOR ROOM! Good night sleep BUT absolutely no hot water and the ice maker didn't work.

Location is good, not far from downtown, but no other hotels within close proximity. Condition of the suite was in poor maintenance/upkeep condition. A/C closet was not cleaned in a long time. Air filter looked like it hadn’t been changed since last year. Making on table was sanded down but still visible, dishwasher was not operational. Bathtub and bathroom sink were slow to drain.

Don’t stay here! I had a live mouse in my room on the 2nd night there. The receptionist was totally dismissive and offered no resolution or apology. When I got a new room, it was infested with cockroaches. There were at least 5 cars broken into and one car stolen while staying here, it is not a safe part of Omaha. Male workers would constantly walk into our room without knocking or notice, oftentimes while I was at work and my wife was there alone. Then my colleagues who stayed in other rooms had many personal belongings stolen by the cleaners. The owner and management could care about even pretending to have decent customer service. Some workers such as the chef’s were very kind. The location is near a lot of restaurants and Dodge St which is convenient, but those are the only pros of this place.

Good, bad and ugly. Good was the housekeeping, they do an amazing job. Front desk Staff is either very friendly or grossly disinterested. Awful location for criss cross entry off Dodge St to get in and out of the facility. Several regular long(er) term guests / residents / families, some with barking dogs and 2-3 vehicles per unit. Not enough parking to go around. Breakfast was poorly prepared / inedible with soggy hashbrowns and burnt eggs. Make your own Waffles, fresh fruit and yogurt were available. THERE IS NO WI-FI SERVICE, NO CABLE TV OFFERED. In-room TV is broadcast antenna service only subject to poor/no signal outages; especially if there is stormy weather in the area. Cellular service in this back alley location is weak and inadequate at times - There is no Wi-Fi available, you CAN NOT STREAM any apps, TV, etc. You MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN PRIVATE PORTABLE HIGH SPEED HOTSPOT service in order to stream any movies, TV, etc. Our unit (in Bldg 1) was a POORLY restored unit with obvious wide spread flood damage(s) from the front entry clear through the entire unit. Our toilet promptly backed up and we were issued our very own, complimentary, toilet plunger. We were in town for medical care and expected to be in town for up to 3 months before released to travel back home. Our stay, thankfully was only 10 days (most of which was at the hospital not the hotel). If we would have had to stay in town any longer we would have moved to a different facility within 24 hours of checking in. I would strongly recommend looking for more comfortable accommodations elsewhere.

Gross!!! Stay away!!! Not worth the money! If my friend hadn't already gotten the hotel I wouldn't have stayed here!!! Rooms: long black hair sporadically throughout the rooms/bathrooms, thick noticeable dust along the edges of carpet, stains all over the carpet, close door missing, and it looks like a dog ripped up the bathroom and they didn't repair it. Breakfast: French toast was cold and tasted florally, apple juice was fermented, and bagels had mold.

My wife is in ICU here, we live in Sioux City Iowa and don't drive. College world series now so hospital said all rooms in Omaha booked 3 days I'm home not even able to talk to my wife. Sonesta ES suites got room for me for 7 days! So thankful to be able to see my wife. Staff are great, especially the woman at the front desk. The room is great! More of a back home relaxing vibe not clinical like many hotels. It's like a condominium complex. I am forever in their debt by their kindness and comfort in such a time of fear and uncertainty. The property is beautiful, and is surprisingly peaceful and serene, can rarely hear traffic. Their kindness, generosity is a blessing and will not be forgotten. Thank you many times over.

I am very unhappy with my stay. I was put into room 222 Saturday (October 28,2023) and when I got into the room I seen a roach run across the kitchen counter when I turned the lights on. I called the front desk and they said they will send someone to spray. She then sent me a Spanish lady with a broom and towel who doesn’t speak English (not sure what a broom and towel would do) I then finally got all my things into my room. When I went to take a shower, I noticed the tub was so filthy as if they didn’t not finish cleaning it out. Chemicals was still in the tub and the bathroom walls were dirty and filthy. I was then moved to room 424 and had to pack and reload things in my car, which is an inconvenience. They also didn’t accommodate me for my time and inconvenience they just moved me rooms. The next morning I got a knock on my door at 10am an hour before check out, they attempted to enter my room without my permission! Luckily I had the lock on the door, they accused me of letting people in room 222 for free when I did not. I still had the keys to room 222 I would never invite my company into that filthy room. How could that happen when I’m in room 424. In which I believe meth heads had got into that room and squatted there for the night. In which it is the hotel job to make sure room 222 is secured closed and cleaned for the next person stay. I did not go to sleep until 7am due to feeling uncomfortable and how filthy the hotel is. I will not return. Also my sheets were dirty as if y’all only flipped them around to make them look clean when they are not. Also there was stains on the carpet and used towels in the front closet. I was not pleased with my stay. I will not come back. Thanks for making my stay a living hell. They have a roach problem and do not clean their sheets. Don’t come here! -5 stars.

Showed up to summer heat and the room had no AC. We were told there was nothing they could do and had to live with it but get competed or change hotels. We decided to live with it since we were exhausted family of 6 moving across country and had no energy to find a new hotel to fit us. We asked the front desk staff if they could locate a fan for the night, without even moving or trying they told us no. Secondly, we left a scooter there and noticed the next day. Called and confirmed they had it but the front desk told they had no authority to help us. We arranged for UPS to package and ship with us paying but finally was told that management said they could not take it to UPS. 4 days later, after daily contact with them, we found someone local willing to pick it up for us. We are now told that the scooter is gone! Not even a week after our stay when they knew we were working to get it shipped to us. It was a nice Segway scooter my son has just gotten for his birthday. Seems extremely fishy as the hotel isn't going to just donate this item. Overall the front desk staff was very unhelpful and incompetent. Rooms were spacious but our bathroom floor was loose and cracked (hurt to step on) and our soap dispensers were broken.

Nice suite hotel in a quiet area. No street noise. Good rate. Grounds are nice. Full Kitchen w/quality appliances. Dishwasher is a plus! Detergent, paper towel salt/pepper, full size coffee maker/coffee and tea. Ice maker in fridge is awesome! Room was clean and spacious. Bed is comfortable. Quiet at night. Pool had some relaxing zero gravity chairs and pool was clean. Nice patio area with large gas BBQ grill and firepit. Volleyball court. Hot breakfast was tasty and filling. Good start to your day! Eggs (sometimes omelets), bacon, sausage, potato cakes, waffles, cereal, bagels, and muffins. French toast was the best! Biscuits and gravy were good too. Quality coffee with flavored creamer. Everything was great! Family friendly!

We stayed 2 nights. Found cockroaches. And ended up trying to sleep with all the lights on only to still be infested. Our first night we saw nothing. The second night was like a horror film. Found other people's personal items in the room. And the cockroaches were in the fridge. I didn't sleep a wink. And when we complained and asked for a refund, they simply switched our room at 1am. I'm traveling with 2 disabled women. One has a bad heart and lungs. And the other has 1 lung and COPD. This was horrible, DO NOT STAY HERE! They wouldn't even talk to us. Just dismissive, and as we tried to talk to them in tears. They wouldn't speak English so we couldn't understand. We took photos, and video. Save yourself the heartache, stay somewhere else.

Honestly the worst experience. My husband and I were here for 4 months while our house was being built and were switched rooms 2 times for various issues. One of the rooms had plumbing issues that caused the entire suite to smell like rotten eggs, two of them had broken kitchen faucets and no ac and all three were coachroach infested. The staff is nice but the weekly room service isn't great. I've had to go to the main office several times to refill toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher soap, etc. because they didn't. The worst part is I had a random man walk into room unannounced and claim he thought the room was vacant. Either their staff doesn't have up-to-date info on their residence or they're handing out my roomkey to strangers. Would never recommend.

Upside: they had friendly staff for the most part, plenty of room for a large family, lots of space to walk dogs, and places for kids to play. Downside: We accidentally left something in the kitchen, and they never called us back about it, when I called again, they said “they never found it” it was an expensive item. The day we moved out after an extended stay due to circumstances out of our control, someone stole my kids pumpkins (there were 8 pumpkins), when asked about it, they denied moving them, but said it may have been one of the other tenants because “they looked Amish”, my kids were devastated. I cleaned myself, since I was living in it with pets and kids, and I prefer to do it myself. Plus they only come once a week. 😳 One of the closet doors was broken, and we found cockroaches as we left. Maintenance guys and over night security were very nice.

I love this hidden gem of a hotel. When Covid first hit, my son & I spent an entire year at this extended stay hotel, and it became home to us. It's under new ownership/management now but still well maintained and reasonably priced rooms available. The loft suites are amazing and spacious, & each room has a full kitchen, which is a nice bonus! Definitely a local FAV!!!

I do want to start by saying the front desk was very very nice. The hotel appearance from outside is overgrown weeds and peeling paint. It felt like driving up to a dingy low rent apartment complex. Inside didn't get much better. The carpet is worn and stained. The room had a lingering cigarette smell. Dirty air vents, worn furnishings, and missing moldings. My daughter was worried to shower because it feels dirty. After laying in the bed her skin was red and itchy. The potential is there, but overall this hotel is just worn out and needs a major overhaul. We were initially disappointed to hear that the pool was closed but after seeing everything else here I don't think we would be comfortable going in the pool anyway.

They take 100$ deposit until checkout. As if their nasty room was worth that! The carpet next to the bed was soaked! The room was smelly, like mildew. They did not have enough coffee. Hope u don't need more than 2 towels for 2 nights! Not happy.

Checked in on 20th checked out 23rd of Dec 2023. We ask for a late check out from the start due to a flight not leaving till 630pm. Was told not a problem was told there was a $10 per hour charge which we would of paid no problem. The day before I called to double check on the late out and they told me everything was good. Explained that the hubby was having to stay one more day in hospital after major surgery. Saturday morning when I called to make sure they had us in still for a late check out there was NO LATE check out NOON was the latest time even after I explain what was told the last 3 times I asked about it. No help. They claimed noone said that. We where at the back and there was party after party and parking was difficult to say the least waited for 3 hours one night to find parking anywhere near out building which is tough on a handicapped mom and kids. But we never complained maybe I should of. Had someone try to get into our room at 4am on Friday claiming wrong room. Only had enough pot and pans silverware for 2 people. We ate in shifts but once again didn't complain. Would of given 5 stars had it not been for the late check put issue. We had this hotel booked for 2 months.

Our stay at Sonesta Suites was nothing short of exceptional. The spacious and well-appointed suites provided a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The attention to detail in terms of cleanliness and amenities was noteworthy, and the friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. The convenient location, coupled with the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction, makes Sonesta Suites our top choice for future travels. Highly recommended for a delightful and stress-free stay.

Years ago we stayed here and got the king fireplace so we were quite surprised when it showed up again. Sadly this time there was so much noise the manager had to be called two-three times. What sounding like puking, plus yelling outside (and you can even hear them inside) went in till 3 am I started calling other hotels around 1 am unfortunately that seemed to be to late for other hotels. Noise finally stopped after management threatened eviction around 3 am . Completely unhappy with my stay and will never go back obviously it has gone down in the years since we were there last

I came here very apprehensive, but was shocked, it's not a Marriott but i will book here every time i come here. Beds were clean with white bed spreads, kitchen clean, no dust in drawers or on shelves. Highly recommend this place. I've been to much much worse paying 130.

Rooms were very dirty. Half of the A/C units weren't working and were visibly frozen up including mine. Traveled with a group of 13 families and almost every family had some sort of issue. It appears that someone purchased the hotel and just thought they never had to maintain it again.

  • 1/5 Ana S. 4 months ago on Google
Literally disgusting. Despite being changed rooms. They had stains on carpet. Stained/ripped curtains. Broken doors/locks. Smelled. And toilet did not function. You literally could not stay in the room. The lady at the front desk agreed the condition were BAD. but refused to give a refund. And are now denying we even complained. Book somewhere else. These people are SHADY.

Writing this review in case you, like us, booked this hotel and then subsequently found all the reviews mentioning roaches. We figured we would end up having to eat the $90 and book somewhere else, but when we got to our room it was actually reasonably clean. We felt perfectly comfortable staying here for one night. I will say the rooms are not in good shape- scratches on walls, damage to the doors and trim, etc. But no signs of roaches.

Friendly people with a nice room that was very dog friendly. Easy to use easy to access great location. We will definitely be using this hotel whenever we are in Omaha.

No room cleaning or towel refresh. When asked why, was told due to covid. That answer just does not work anymore, 3 years on from the pandemic. Bathroom had mold. Breakfast was inedible. Only good thing about this hotel was the location. We will not stay here again tho.

We had a great stay at the Sonesta in Omaha. Pros: - great location, cute property, friendly staff, very clean pool, clean suites, good kitchen amenities Cons: - we needed bedding for the sofa couch and weren’t able to get any until the second night of our two night stay. We were told that the room accommodated 4 people but we only had dishes in sets of 2 and only had 3 towels. The kitchen table was on its last leg.. (literally going to fall apart) the bathroom door was unhinged and hanging making it hard to close and lastly the king bed was awful. I don’t think it had ever been rotated or flipped as it have two deep soft spots that sank in. Regardless of the negative we still had a nice stay.

  • 5/5 Carolyn W. 1 year ago on Google
They are very polite and courteous. If we needed anything they helped us with what we needed. Clean rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends!

  • 4/5 Bryan M. 11 months ago on Google
Everything is great. There's nothing to complain about here. The rooms are super nice and everyone who works here is super friendly. I would just improve the gym. Their gym is VERY small. Literally, all they have is two scales and three cardio machines. Also, their breakfast never has variety. It's always the SAME.....EXACT....THING every morning. I would prefer something different from Bacon and Eggs every morning. Besides that, y'all are doing great. Keep doing what you're doing.

Older and starting to show it. First room was not cleaned well. Moved us to a cleaner room. Bed was OK. Kitchen appointments were spotty. Staff was helpful. Price was good. Location was convenient once you find your way in. If you want to use the fireplace make sure you bring the right logs and matches.

I like the Sonesta Suites since my travel requires that I stay several days. I kinda make it my home since I am traveling more days than actually being at home. This location has started out with several issues, but the biggest one is the internet. They claim hi speed internet but my speed test puts it at @ 1mpbs up and down. Which is HORRIBLE. And it is NOT hi speed! I really need hi speed so I may end up rethinking the duration of this stay as well as future locations.

Very nice set up. Right off the beaten path. Quiet and clean. Kitchenette and living room. King size bed along with a dressing area and bathroom. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

  • 2/5 Rachel B. 1 year ago on Google
The room was spacious, but there were problems. The soap and shampoo dispenser in the bathrooms were empty, and the curtains were torn. Breakfast was terrible. The coffee was gone by the time we got there. The food was almost gone and never replaced, and the bacon tasted like paper. Not impressed.

  • 1/5 Jennifer D. 1 year ago on Google
Don't waste your money. This is the absolute worst hotel experience I've ever had, hands down. The location is great, close to lots of restaurants and stores with easy access to downtown Omaha. The room itself was dirty, housekeeping never came to replace the towels. Also my toilet broke; instead of helping to fix it or have us move they told me basically "oh well." My husband had to fix it. The deadbolt was broken and they also lost our reservation. Also-this has nothing to do with the staff but someone let their kids yell and scream on the basketball court late at night. The walls are also paper thin so we got to hear our neighbors scream and tell then make up afterwards. Stay elsewhere.

Very nice, clean, quiet and great staff! Clean room, great service, just a pleasant place to rest and relax. It was very quiet and we liked that the room was more like a studio apartment with a full service kitchen that included cooking equipment like pots and pans as well as dishes. Nice lil pool area that had a gas fired grill to do some bar-b-que and chillax by the pool with family! Lots of extra stuff like basketball and volleyball court etc etc. Great location if you're going to Omaha zoo or surrounding attractions. Great price for what you get! Will definitely stay there again as long as the prices don't go nuts like allot of the other places do when they get a few good ratings!

Room was very big and had everything we would need. Some places were kinda dirty. The pool has rough spots and was cutting everyone's feet which sucked. Happy they were dog friendly though!!! My kids loved it

I've stayed at the Sonesta ES Suites in Omaha on business for about seven years now. The first two years were pretty good but they had a rough period with a temporary and interim manager in 2018 or so. There were alot of issues with rooms not being cleaned, too much partying, and other issues. This was accompanied by a general lack of pest management and a lax approach to cleaning. Now that those problems have been resolved Sonesta has back to it's old self for a few years now. Like everyone, they did what they could during the pandemic. If you are on the road a lot, these types of lodging can provide benefits beyond what's offered by a traditional hotel and it makes the months on the road just a little bit more comfortable.

Clean extended stay hotel. Never heard any noise from other units. Did her birds in the morning and evenings. Housekeeping is done weekly. Overall we liked the place and location. YMMV

I previously stayed at a Sonesta where access to the rooms was on the inside of the hotel. I prefer indoor access rather than anyone having access to my door. The location has restaurants within walking distance, and more a short drive away. It has more of an aparment complex feel than a hotel vibe. Fortunately, I had a downstairs suite because I did not see any elevators. The room was OK. The lock on the door was a little wobbly. The stopper for the closet door was broken. The towels had been laundered, but spots were on a few. The hotel served its purpose. I had no problems. The staff was polite. The rooms are cleaned after your stay. I just wish they would at least come in and empty the trash, so it won't pile up. It wasn't a bad stay, I would just choose something different next time.

Couldn't figure out why many months ago so many bad reviews. Learned new ownership and management. Room is great. Pool looks awesome, and employees are all amazingly kind and caring. Here because wife is in ICU. They couldn't be more empathetic. Come here from a day at the hospital and am able to unwind as doesn't have the motel vibe. It feels like home. Love it and then! Don't miss an opportunity to unwind here!
