The hotel was not clean our room was okay. The toilet paper holder was broken off and under the sink. The shower ledge for the soap was broken and sitting under the sink as well. The lights in the bathroom would work sometimes. The hair dryer did not work. The pool was absolutely disgusting, freezing cold the hot tub was worse dirty cold didn’t work. Said something to the manager about it. He said that there’s nothing we can do about it. Never again will we stay there. For $250.00 it should have been ten times better than this. If I could share pictures I would I took plenty.

We did not feel safe staying here. I am not sure how this place is in business. We are pretty sure there was remnants of blood on our walls..carpets are stained. Exterior is very run down, you can see there are broken fixtures from open blinds. Very sketchy people hanging around the front. We did not stay and could not get a refund. I can’t believe this place has 3 stars. The attendant was nice enough but I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Where to even start.... There were so many places in the building that didn't have panels on the inside of the building, so made it look so run down. Walked in the room, which was NOT queen size beds, definitely doubles, and not queens! Went to the pool, the hot tub looked so green and unsanitary and gross. After the pool, showering - the shower didn't drain, so was showering with a full bath in the tub as well. So called to the front desk and because it was the weekend and so late in the evening, the only thing he could do is switch us rooms. Moved to the room right next to us, and it did the same thing!! Tub full of water for a quick 7 minute shower. I kept turning the handle to get the water to drain, but wouldn't drain. The toilet wouldn't flush normal, I had to lift the back of the lid to pull the plug to get it to flush. The second room we were in was so hot and took so long for the AC to kick on, and when it did, it was on for 30 seconds and off for 20 minutes. Hot all night long. The bed frames didn't sit right for the bed and my daughter hit her ankle on the metal frame sticking out. Overall - probably the worst experience for a hotel that I have ever been to!!! I HIGHLY recommend to stay somewhere else!! Wasted my money!!!

Rooms were very clean I don't know why everybody has complained. Staff was very friendly breakfast area was spotless. Little confusing getting to the location but will stay here again.

I did not feel safe even walking up to this place. Sketchy people all over. Outside a guy in a ski mask hanging around, paint and wall paper peeling, dirty, our sheets were dirty, all the ceiling tiles are soaked in brown stuff or just not there. Wires exposed, smells so bad. We got there finally from a night out around 11:45 - booked a new hotel by midnight. Toilet didn't flush, so scarey. No cars in the parking lot. Do NOT stay here or reserve a room.

Very disappointed. The hotel in general was was not clean and neither were the rooms. A lot of repairs needed. Holes in the bathroom needed repair. The lobby had exposed pipes and holes in the wall. No one was at the front desk. Always had to use the phone on the wall to get staff. As we were getting breakfast they were taking food away, instead of letting us finish. The staff were nice but the actual establishment needed repairs and cleaning.

The room itself was decent but we just could not get over the odor. It literally smelled as if we walked into an old, musty armpit. Luckily we only stayed 2 nights but we had to keep the bedroom window wide open just to insure that the odor didn’t set in our belongings. Oh and taking breakfast to your room isn’t allowed. You can either leave with food or eat it in the dining area, where it’s 65 degrees and also has a weird smell…

My stay was very pleasant. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I’d recommend this hotel if you’re going to be staying in Omaha. The location is great close to shopping and restaurants. Thumbs up.

If we didn't have two appointments on back-to-back days and Omaha wasn't a four-hour round trip from where we live, I would have accepted his offer for a full refund (since the TV in our room was broken) and gone elsewhere...we almost considered just making another four-hour round trip instead of staying here. If you have any other options, take them. If you only care about having a bed and toilet, your reason for visiting is near the hotel, and you can get the room for under $100, that's about the only reason I would suggest booking here. Just make sure to check your room for bedbugs. We ended up being lucky, but the people leaving when we arrived weren't.

I been living here for months so I'll be brutal honest. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. You don't smell cigarettes like most Motels. 2nd breakfast is simple everyday its make your own waffles, they have cereal, muffins, Bagels and doughnuts. Coffee and Tea is available 24 hours. 3rd The staff are super friendly and so I whole heartedly disagree with others who rate them rude or horrible. You do have to ask for room service if you are going to be here for awhile. I've had zero issues getting fresh towels or bed laundry. I'll be honest the key cards do have some issues of not working or slow. But again the staff are super nice about fixing your room or any concerns. 4- people who complained about the pool closed need to read online booking it says that the pool is closed for winter season. To rap up the following this Motel is comfortable and clean compared to Motel 6 and other hole in the wall motels. I recommend this Motel to anyone who visits Omaha your near the Mall, Zoo, Downtown and a Amazing Location near Imax Movies. Plus the staff here are very informative about what's going on in Omaha events wise.

I had a wonderful stay at the American Inn in Omaha. 😍😍😍 From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the exceptional customer service provided by the staff, especially the manager Sid and Parv. They were not only welcoming but also went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. One of the highlights of my stay was their fantastic recommendations for visiting places in Omaha. Thanks to Sid and Parv, I was able to explore some hidden gems in the city that I wouldn't have found on my own. Their local knowledge was invaluable. The breakfast at the American Inn was a delightful start to each day of my stay. It offered a variety of options that catered to different tastes, ensuring that there was something for everyone. Overall, my experience at the American Inn was exceptional, thanks in large part to the great management team of Sid and Parv. Their dedication to providing outstanding customer service and their helpful recommendations made my trip to Omaha truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The hotel is definitely in transition. We had a couple of rooms every room had 1 roll of tokiet paper 2 towels no bed spreads & poor cleaning jobs. The public bathroom on the main floor was disgusting. I wouldn't let my dog use that bathroom. The continental breakfast consisted of donuts from a bag, a Walmart gallon of milk, and a waffle maker with no grease for the iron so waffles stick. There was nobody at the front desk ever. You had to call the customer service representative to get them to help you. The keys for the room dont work. The parking lot wad a mess the landscaping was a complete disaster. The place looked run down. There was dirty used syringes laying around in the lot. Weeds everywhere trash, boots, booze bottles used condoms just a compete nightmare. There was no handsome or paper towels in the Publix washroom either. My advice if you want quality over convince stay somewhere else this place is a dump. The employees dress in athletic wear & were smoking pot out front of the buisness & vaping. Not impressed at all.

Was not a good time, the whole place smelled of smoke/weed. Wouldn’t call the breakfast a “continental l breakfast” had some clear and very brown bananas. The tub was missing parts, there was bugs in our room. Do not recommend especially if you have kids

Do Not stay here. Their pool is closed. Entire hotel is run down. Missing ceiling tiles and light fixtures, wiring is showing, carpets are stained, elevator is old and rickety, terrifying, door lock was broken, phone was missing buttons, all appliances are hooked to extension cords that wouldn't stay in the old sockets, breakfast was 45 minutes late and was only 3 over ripe bananas, 1 rotten mandarins orange, little Debbie donuts, and diy waffles. Whole hotel smelled like weed, housekeeping never came to make beds, take trash, or replace towels. No ice buckets, double beds were barely bigger than twins. It was very noisiy in the room due to being right by the highway and lack of insulation or up to date windows. This hotel should not be in business. Staff was polite but not professionally dressed at all.

The check in process was cruddy, our key didn't work so they switched our rm. The breakfast was not what it normally is at Amercinn. Very large water spots on the ceiling with ceiling peices looking like it will fall in.... some kid brought us an extra pillow. The staff seemed nice but it appears they are not taking care of the property. The pool is not operable...

This place is older and I would expect something's not to work....Last night was horrible came in late from being on the road, front counter person very unprofessional wearing sunglasses to hide his face. Got to the first room and it hadn't even been cleaned yet. Second room the heat was stuck on pretty sure that they were treating the room for bedbugs cuz it was hotter than hell in there. Third room was ok and doable was just so tired I didn't care anymore. I go to check out this morning and I asked if the guy was a manager. He stated they don't have managers they just have the owner and immediately he got all defensive with me saying that they don't give refunds when I was simply telling him how it was from the start of my check-in

  • 1/5 Tanya V. 11 months ago on Google
This hotel is older and not maintained. The elevator was sketchy, shower drain was almost rusted out and tub drained so slow you stand in your dirty water up to your ankles, tv only worked on 1 channel, key cards didn't work, pool was closed and the breakfast was laughable. Definitely did not get what we paid for and will never go back!!

Believe all of the other reviews. This place is terrible. We booked a room 15 minutes before we got there. Within 5 minutes of being in the room I knew I couldn't stay there. EVERYTHING was stained or dirty. I immediately went back to the front desk and asked for a refund to which he replied you must cancel at least 24hrs before check-in. Obviously that wasn't possible since see had just booked the room 20 minutes ago. I went back to the room got my family and our stuff and left. Service was terrible, rooms were even worse. Avoid like the plague.

20 cars in lot, 45 rooms on each floor, 4 floors. Only rooms on 4th floor available. I had a prepaid reservation. Fitted sheets upside down, no cups or ice bucket etc. The bread at breakfast was hamburger buns, and only 3 mini chocolate donuts. Not much else, I didn't get anything.

Hotel was a bit run down. Something sticky on carpet. Beds were comfortable, but the bedding was basically two top sheets, no substantial comforter or blanket. Right next to highway, so did hear some traffic. Friendly staff. It served its purpose.

Heating unit only blew cold air unless turned up to 78, which stopped the unit. Breakfast has few nutritious choices. Waffle batter too thin; cook two cycles. May be late with set up or out of items if later. No towels in pool area. Traffic noise through the night if on Dodge Street side of building.

The lady manager was rude, me and my family were playing a game downstairs lobby by the fireplace and the lady told us in a rude way to be quiet and yelled at her attendant in front of us., as well as the gym was out of service and the washing machine didn’t work at all some of the ceilings were broken and our ac machine from our rooms was old and would make noise which was annoying. This hotel gave us a creepy vibe when we got here and throughout our stay.

I was there 3 days and they didn't clean my room at all. I had to complain and waited 25 minutes to get coffee creamer. The one day I tried breakfast the few apples were bruised and getting soft. No creamer or sugar available. Only a very small amount of surype and still over 45 minutes of breakfast. Coffee tasted old. No coffee makers in the rooms. Signs saying not to take breakfast or coffee to your rooms. Bugs climbing the wall twice in 3 days. Dirty sheets piled on the floor by the vending machine all day. The corners of the floor in the bathroom had a pile of dirt about 1x2 inches. It looked like bug guts on the mirror and the desk. Bedframe had metal mattress bars sticking out at the sides of the bed. The mattress was good and the heating cooling worked well. The room was quiet.

Called to book this hotel directly and booked a king suite and was quoted a final price. Got to the hotel and tried to check in and the person at the desk tried to charge $30 more than we were told on the phone a few hours before. Took us 30 minutes to check in and the front desk person called me a liar when I told him he was charging me more than quoted. He later called someone and found out in fact I was telling the truth. He never apologized. At this point it's late and we have an early morning and need to get the kids to bed. We get to our room and it is not the king suite we were paying for but instead a regular king room. When we go to check out the next morning the staff has no idea and told me they can do nothing about fixing the wrong charge. I even showed them a picture from the website with the total of the room we were suppose to get and the one we got clearly showing it was wrong. They again made a rude comment in front of me this time while on the phone with a coworker. Was told I'd get a call back from the manager. Never received one. Just called customer care and was told it'd be another week before someone called me. Apparently at Wyndham it's okay to call customers names and overcharge them. There was multiple other things wrong with the staff, but I've typed roo much already. I would NEVER stay here.

The one star I am giving is for their pool. Not the hot tub, just the pool. Amazing pool. However, upon check-in I was told it was the last room available and they were fully booked the next two nights. She also stated it would be $200 for the one night. The lady then took my card and driver's license. After running my card, says to me did you want one or two nights. She was the one who had told me they were fully booked the next two nights by looking in their system. She then states, I am so sorry, my system has accidently charged you for two nights. But don't worry your money will be refunded to you in the morning. Had issues getting into my room, it was human error on my end. Stayed the night and talked two other guests that evening that also were charged for two nights when staying for one. The next morning went downstairs for breakfast. It consisted of waffles. The waffle maker however did not work properly. I have pictures of how the waffles turned out. There was lite syrup. In the fridge next to the waffle maker there was jugs of milk, cream cheese, and butter. There was a juice dispenser. There was a touch screen coffee maker. There were two domed areas with 4 trays. On the trays were 1 loaf of bread, 6 bagels, 1 croissant, 12 mini muffins, 8 powdered donuts, and Triscuits. There were also 2 bananas. To me when I pay $200 for a room for one night, I expect hot options. When packing items before leaving I found pizza crust and wrappers stuck under the bed skirt from a previous guest. I also went down to check out and explain that I was not happy. They had the cops there for another guest that had complained to them about being charged for 2 nights and had found bugs in their room and did not wish to pay for the stay. I seriously doubt that I will ever stay at an AmericInn after my stay at this hotel!!! When I checked out, I was told I would have my money back by noon. When I called the motel around 1 pm, I was told there would not be a manager in the rest of the weekend and that I would be getting my money at 2 pm, 7 pm and also 11 pm. The guy then said don't worry you will get your money back. So, I guess I should not have worried that I was over 3 hours from home and did not have enough gas to make it home, since they over charged my account by $235. I had to borrow money for gas to get home. I am writing this review more than 24 hours out from check out and still have not been refunded my money. ***update*** Today is now Monday when I checked on Saturday morning. I woke up to the charge of $470 no longer pending. They charged me the full amount!!! I started a dispute through my bank. I also called the motel. I was told I needed to call back at 9 am to talk the manager. I let them know I was recording the call and that I needed to know the manager's name. They hung up on me!!!

It was pretty bad the environment is not good at all it was freaky and run down. It smelled so bad in the halls. The place is literally falling apart in the bathroom there is a huge hole in the wall and they covered it with a towel. There are no ceilings in spots of the hotel. The breakfast is literally a joke. The bath/shower is disgusting and when you would walk in the halls you could hear screaming(happened once) Only pro is that the beds were clean and comfortable but sooooo small

  • 3/5 Marv E. 1 year ago on Google
Hot tub pump does not work. Bathroom is very small. Not a bad place to stay but the reason I chose to stay here was for the hot tub. The price was reasonable and room seemed to be clean. It was a nice quiet and peaceful stay.

  • 3/5 Ron D. 1 year ago on Google
The room was clean and quiet. The main entrance and lobby were also clean and taken care of. The building as a whole is starting to show it's age. I could see that there were repairs under way. However I think that there could have been some signage stating excuse our mess while we make needed repairs.

  • 1/5 John S. 1 year ago on Google
Spent one night here and it was pretty bad, the entire place needs a good cleaning and all kinds of repairs need to be done. I was told when I booked the room the hot tub was working but when we went down to use it , it was out of order, breakfast was terrible nothing hot at all, didn’t really see anything worth eating so we went over to Hy Vee and got some food. I’ve stayed at a lot of Americinns and really liked them but this one is a whole different deal. I paid 90 dollars and 40 would have been plenty. You can definitely find somewhere better to stay!

Horrible hotel, horrible service, horrible experience. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Mold growing everywhere, room keys stopped working multiple times, non-smoking rooms reeked of smoke, broken light fixtures, broken windows, TVs not working, pull-out couch full of food, rips/tears on cushions. The list is endless!! When asked to speak with a manager, she was never present.

If there was a way to leave negative stars- I would… I don’t like to think that we are overly picky- and I understand that buildings are run down- but this was crazy… We were delayed in arriving and I had been in the phone throughout the day to let them know we would be a late arrival. When we did arrive- we had to wait 15-20 minutes for someone to even show up to the front desk. While waiting I found the ladies room-only to find the trash can full of toilet parts and tools in the stall. Went back to the front desk and continued to wait. When someone did show up- we were checked into our 1st room. The bathroom was horribly dirty- with gunk all over the bathtub. We went to the front desk to ask for a clean room. Room #2- The person that checked us in went upstairs to check on the cleanliness of the room while we went up. The keys he gave us did not work. The person who checked us in said it was because we didn’t know how to use the keys, and used his master key to get into the room, after having trouble with the keys himself. While he went to re program our keys- we inspected the room- and found an extremely dirty bathroom. He was unable to program our keys, so he moved us to room #3. Room #3- stains that look like blood on the comforter. No stopper in the bathtub, and the locks on the door didn’t “click” all the way. At this point- 3 strikes you are out. We went to the front desk and asked for a refund- when asked why we explained the dirty room situations. He said he would have to go inspect the room himself. We showed him the pictures. He then began making excuses that one of the housekeepers was white and couldn’t be expected to clean the toilet with her hands- and that the Hispanic housekeepers didn’t know how to clean. When we started talking about the stains on the beds- he made the excuse that the housekeepers don’t know the difference between ink stains and blood, and they don’t know how to clean. He said they had to reuse stained linen because of COVID… He was over zealous about getting to the elevator, stairs, rooms, etc before us, and enjoyed flaunting his master keys and the ability to open any door he wanted to the point that it made our teenage daughter uncomfortable and unsafe. Especially with the issues with doors not locking and keys not working. So grateful that a hotel down the road was able to accommodate us.

Deserves negative stars! Checked in and immediately could tell it was run down. It was not disclosed at check in that there was no hot water. At 9pm we discovered no hot water and called front desk. They said it was being actively fixed but didn't have an ETA. Ok. I had a business event in the morning so decided I'd get up even earlier to shower, dress and make it there by 6:30am. There was hot water that morning. After an 11hr day on my feet I get back to the hotel to find out there is no hot water again! Call the front desk, same response. It should be disclosed at check in a MAJOR issues!!! Besides that there was two towels to a four person room, broken hair dryer, broken hot tub, red stains, staff was more interested in chillin with their homies outside... I've stayed at roach motels in better condition! Don't be fooled by 4 or 5 star reviews cuz those are probably when it opened in the 90s. WAY overpriced and could have stayed at the Doubletree for similar rates... I'm a Wyndham rewards member and calling member services in the morning this was soooo ridiculous!

Basically I could copy any of the previous negative posts about this hotel. The place is a wreck. Water stains on the ceiling, drywall pieces on the floor, dirty rooms, breakfast not ready on time and extremely limited menu, waffle batter thin like water (which doesnt work even though they insist it does) desk clerk wearing dark sunglasses inside was a nice extra creepiness to the stay.

  • 1/5 Melinda C. 1 year ago on Google
It is very run down and we could see into the next room, thank goodness no one rented that room, but definitely discerning. The breakfast was toast... but no toaster, waffles with a faulty waffle maker..... n juice. The pool and hot tub were amazing.... hope u don't need a life ring as it was torn up and beat down. Will not be staying there again, will continue our search for a decent place for our numerous medical trips.

Rooms were "ok" Our had a physically broken alarm clock with the front broken off. No big deal, don't use it anyways. The outside bathroom mirror had pink lipstick all along it in kissy faces presumed from a child at that height. The hot tub jets didn't work, and the desk person said that's as good as it gets. The photos online show it clearly working, so that wasn't true. The breakfast was ok, but kids really wanted the waffles and the batter was so thin it all ran out when flipping to cook and made half waffles. Fine for a quick stay to rest, not great to visit if you're wanting to use the hot tub as part of your stay.

Place smelled waffle table still had waffle crumbs and batter on the morning breakfast the pool was closed. The hot tub was closed. The place was very dirty The guy behind the counter was the most rudest person you’ve ever met would not recommend and nobody very inconvenient travelers. Than they charge you one night fee because I canceled. They basically force you stay there no pool or hot tub plus a $100 deposit.

Interior and exterior of hotel is extremely run down. No landscaping, totally over grown, trash in parking lot. I did not feel safe staying there with my family. Hotel advertised having a pool, showed up to find out that it has been broken for a long time. Decided not to stay and hotel refused to refund my money, we never event checked in or made it to the room. Bad experience with AmericInn. I would strongly suggest you don’t stay at this hotel.
