Cool old-Hollywood atmosphere. Twinkly lights, black and white pics on the walls, comfy spot to sit and enjoy drinks. The drinks were great as was the service. It's a bit of a hidden spot as the entrance is around the corner on 38th off of Harney. They have complimentary popcorn and a cute little patio for nice evenings. Would definitely recommend this spot.

This place is 350 feet from my house, and it's taken over a year for me to experience. Shame on me! This place is great. Located in the basement of a former residential hotel-turned-apartments, this place is actually a re-creation of the original Red Lion, a jazz club located in the same place. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, the staff warm and knowledgeable, without the least bit of pretense, which is increasingly rare in Blackstone. Framed photos of famous jazz musicians line the walls, as do high-backed, semi- circular booths, reminiscent of old- school Hollywood haunts. The prices are reasonable, too. You must experience this. It is truly unique.

Red Lion Lounge is located in the basement suite and has a nice larger speakeasy vibe minus the secret entrance part. There are plenty of comfortable seating both large tables and smaller booths. The drink menu is appetizing and the staff is really friendly. Pricing is on-pair with other cocktail bars in town (around $12/drink).

Went last night and the blonde, male, bartender is pretentious and rude. The bar itself is pretty neat inside but that bartender thinks he's something special, speaking down to ppl. Wouldn't go back because of him, wouldn't take the chance to be served by someone so full of himself. 😐

I’ve been here before and had a wonderful experience. I went back there on Friday, Jan 7th and wow, completely different. Our waitress was seemingly on something as she couldn’t talk correctly, couldn’t walk straight, and was asking the table next to us if they had substances she could purchase. She also was not wearing a mask and sat at our table. We asked for the bar manager, and while he was more coherent, he also seemed not “fully present” and was also not wearing a mask. The only person who was professional and wearing a mask and not inebriated in some way was who I closed out with at the bar. I feel bad that person has to work in situations like this. The drinks were fine but my group and I had to leave because we were incredibly uncomfortable. Please reconsider coming here.

I'm always a little surprised at how many good bars there are in Omaha. There doesn't seem to be a neighborhood anywhere in the city where you can't find a great, if not totally solid watering hole, and the Red Lion Lounge is definitely among them. There’s a lot to like about this place and I've always enjoyed myself when I visit. What I appreciate is the hospitality, quality of service, and the talent behind the bar. They make great craft cocktails, know their liquors, and are at the ready with options for everyone in your party. And when it comes to my drink of choice—a Manhattan—they know their way around their whiskey. The esthetic here is somewhere between mob hideout and "secret rendezvous." The lounge is a dimly lit, windowless basement with candle-lit tables and booths. The bar separates two seating areas decorated with vintage pieces of nostalgia, like an actual phone booth. Anyway, it's a place you go to chill with friends, have a quiet get together out of limelight, get away from the paparazzi, or avoid getting bumped off. Have fun. Food selection is limited to some basic nibbles but this is a place you go to begin or end your evening. So all good. Have fun.

Had a lions tail, which is bourbon, lime, allspice dram, simple, and it was amazing chill laid back place with a very mellow environment.

The Red Lion has been on our list for a while. We stopped in on a Tuesday. Small crowd mostly at the bar. The bar tender was great. Professional. Good drinks. The people there were nice. Old school type place. I suspect it will continue to get busier as the area grows especially when the hotel opens.

Love this place. Dark and old school cool. We had the best bartender, gorgeous, smart, sassy.

We stopped in for a few drinks on a Friday around 10pm. The staff, while new and slightly scattered, was wonderfully friendly and accommodating, the vibe was chill, you expected the Rat Pack to walk in at any moment. Heard that they are going to bring back quality craft cocktails, looking forward to it.

Great service and a bartender who loved what he does. I had my doubts about mixed drinks being on tap , I was so wrong. The old fashioned and Earl Gray Tea we're spot on.

Don’t pass this place up! The surrounding area has a lot to offer…Red Lion is a pillar in this neighborhood’s nightlife. Great cocktails, personalized service, shot and beer pairings, and great ambiance. You’ll love the decor, atmosphere, and the Red Lion spin on some of your favorite cocktails.

We visited on a very busy Saturday night. The place was hopping! Service was phenomenal considering the number of people packed into this place. Great mix of people and ages.

My wife and I went here a few months ago for a night out in the Blackstone district. I had always intended to stop in here when I worked up the street and have since moved so this was my opportunity. It is a lounge with velvet everywhere. Really great vibe like it's not too pretentious. Drinks were great and service was also outstanding for a Saturday night. It was early so it was slow and the bartender was also a manager since staffing has been an issue for everyone. Enjoyed our time here and would stop back in the future.

Quiet lounge. The staff was fabulous. It was a hidden gem and I look forward to introducing it to friends. They have various promotions nightly and assorted games throughout.

Delicious, posh drinks in a cool atmosphere! Their menu changes and always has new incentive cocktails and twists on classics.

Not a big fan of an old fashion being on tap however given the opportunity they can make good drinks. Very nice environment to kick back and have a few drinks.

Ariana was our bartender, and she absolutely fabulous. We had a wonderful time. I'm visiting from out of town with my fiancé and a friend, and I had a marvelous time. Speakeasy/English pub vibes, super comfortable chairs and bar, great music. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting or local!
