One of my favorite pizza joints in Omaha. The Council Bluffs location is very good also. I've dined at the Lansky's Pizza locations in Omaha, CB, Bellevue and Gretna. All offer great pizza but it seems the the CB and Omaha(42nd St) locations are always consistently excellent. Lanskys is better because they use high quality cheeses, tastier sauce, toppings and pizza dough than other pizza places in the area. They cook the pizzas to perfection. Lanskys and Big Fred's are the best in the area. Their prices are too high, just like everywhere else these days. * If my review and photos were helpful please click the thumbs up.

Sept 24 review and Sept 25 review I have given this location a ton of business over the years usually in the daytime but tonight I stop by at 8:10pm and the doors were locked and lights still on people inside. I call the location and after 25 rings someone answers and goes we close at 8pm on Sunday due to business being slow. No signs on the door stating they close at 8pm. Wish I knew that you were closed at 8pm I would have stopped by sooner. Your very own website and Google maps shows you are open until 9pm. Maybe you should update the listing and website put signs on the doors to reflect this. It's OK though you lost a customer. I went over to Pizza King and they served me food no problem. I won't be returning to lanskys after what I experienced tonight. Update Sept 25 I decided to give the location another chance thinking maybe the other night was just a fluke. I returned to the location at 7:37 pm tonight and was told they are done making food for the night sorry. I asked the hours they are open she said they close at 8pm well i was there before 8pm.. Well it sounds like they close at really 7:30pm if they aren't going to serve me. Really disappointed as I was there before 8pm this time and they refused to serve me. You said please give us another try. I gave you another try. Guess I won't be giving you anymore business this sealed the deal. Oh, there was still no signs on the door saying "the new hours".

I usually go to your Omaha location's but I was visiting in council bluffs tonight and wanted to grab some food before I drove back to Omaha. I came in the restaurant to place a take out order and was told by a young lady at the register no more orders for tonight. I was very confused. The young lady said we are closed. I asked what the hours were and she said we close at 8:00PM. When I arrived it was 7:44PM. There was even a man inside the dining area eating. Maybe the staff just didn't want to help me. When I looked at your menu's inside the restaurant it has your hours saying you close at 9pm. Very confused.

Our food was very good. We got the beef fried ravioli and they were delicious. The red dipping sauce was especially flavorful. We also got a Philly pizza and it was good but I think I’ll try a different one next time. The crust was very good. I ordered take out online and it was ready at exactly the right time.

Use to love this place, too many Teens “running” a restaurant flashing a fireball bottle by the grill area. Food was rushed pizza wasn’t cooked fully meaning they pulled it too early. Morning times not too bad but the other night was my last straw. This restaurant needs to be shut down due to mold growth, floatys in your drink and customer service was bad. No wonder this place slowed down in business, go see a doctor if you eat here.

First time there visiting the area with my toddler and older parents on a Friday night. Building could use a bit of an update but the food was delicious, decent price, and the mostly teenage staff were very friendly, hospitable, and efficient. Homemade cookies were excellent! I would go back! Also, a nice place that wasn't noisy, which needs to stay for those hard of hearing to enjoy food and time with people around them.

Says you are open until 9 pm. I walk in at 7:58. They tell me they are closing because it's been slow all night. There were 6 people leaving when I got there and a table of people still eating. And a few people walked out as we pulled up. I gave up on you a few years ago but have been back a few times this winter because i liked your calzones so much. But I'm done. I could understand if there wasn't anyone there eating or the others that had just left. Didn't seem "dead" as she told me.

I watched the guy making the calzones with his gloves took his hat off ran hand through hair with glove on still. Never took them off or changed his gloves. I could have called boh but I didn't.

I had my 50th birthday party today at Lansky's. Super good Pizza. It was fresh & hot. The staff was friendly and helpful. I recommend Lansky's 100%

Wanted pasta for the night. Nice place. Got the Marco Polo. Delicious. Good service and delicious food!

Love lanskys, been an amazing place to go, parents started taking me and my sister when we were younger and I still try to go once a month, I haven't ordered anything that I haven't enjoyed

Council bluffs location seems to be closing earlier and earlier everytime we go. If you come in around 8 ish at night don't expect salad bar. They tell you if it's been a slow day they close up early. Call before hand to make sure your not rushing to eat. Food always good, friendly service.

The food is always pretty good. However, be prepared for a steep jump in prices. The menus posted do not reflect the current prices. A cheeseburger pizza that I got was at least $9 higher. When I brought this up, the person pointed to a handwritten sign at the register. I brought up why not change the menus and got the answer we are a small business and it’s too expensive-for paper menus.

Had the roast beef sandwich, and a cookie. The cookie was very good and the roast beef sandwich was good as well. Only complaint was that my sandwich was lukewarm, was still good but was not hot by any measure.

Always a great place to eat. We’ve never had anything bad here. Building could use a new drop ceiling and some fresh paint, but the food makes up for the aesthetics. Fries are the best anywhere in town!!!

Good local chain of Italian based meals. Order food at counter, get number and find a seat. Largest portion of menu dedicated to pizza and Philly's. Other items available though. Prices are reasonable and place gets busy during normal lunch times on weekends.

No A.C. what the heck. Our M.S. group meets every 3rd Monday here for several years now. Today 8-21-23 with this heat, you should of been closed. We should of left mainly with our health conditions, heat can bring on attacks. Plus bathrooms need to be fixed and up kept. This is sad to see. We liked it here.

Disappointed to say the least. We love to support local places and haven't tried here yet. The girl at the counter was pleasant and did her job. However, Sadly we will not be back. We ordered two pizzas. A byo personal pizza as a reward for our daughter that had hamburger, black olives, green and red peppers. Nothing special she is basic. It cost 12.75. We also ordered a Reg Meyers Combo which is supposed to be their specialty. The center of this pie was super soft and barely cooked. The amount of topping was good but they were barely cooked. The peppers were really crunchy like they were thrown on after cooking. This pizza was not that special more like any supreme pizza I have had in the past. For it to be their pizza they are known for and it cost $29.00, I expected more. With another pizza place next door they better step up their game if they want to stay in business. Serving overpriced, soggy pizza is not going to do it. For our bill to be $44.67 these should have been amazing.

I am usually a regular at lanskys a Council Bluffs. I go in there every week to every other week if not more and have lunch. I also work two jobs, one of which being at another establishment close by. I stopped in and used the restroom, it was discusting. and on top of that a woman entered the men’s restroom. (And I’m assuming someone complained) I was then approached by my employer later, and was told I was no longer allowed back there. A very simple thing turned into something both awkward and unreal. I will never return. And it’s a darn shame too, because they had amazing food.

Food was amazing, loved the old school charm, and felt safe inside given this is a frequented spot for the men and women in blue. Did not like the sticky table though. Oh well, I may be back regardless.

Food is always good and well priced. Could use a make over as the inside looks the same from 30 years ago, but I suppose that keeps the food cost down. Service is great. Tables are a bit sticky..

One of 3 places in Omaha/CB, by brand, you'll get a good representation of a Philly steak. They're kind and friendly folks, the decor is pretty meh, but you won't go away disappointed.

The staff is great.. They let me eat at the end of the night. It shouldn't be, but that seems to be uncommon these days. Also, the food was prepared excellent and served quickly, but not a rushed out mess. I hadn't been there in a while, but I will be adding it back to my list of go-to's in the area.

Stopped after transporting a patient. This place is a small pizza and sandwich restaurant. Ordered the #3 Regular Philly cheese steak (meat, grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms) and soda. They have beef and chicken Philly cheese steak sandwiches in 3 sizes - small, regular, and large, the regular beef was big enough for me. I truly enjoyed my fresh and hot sandwich, with lots of chopped steak, and the grilled veggies. I tried a few of my friend's French fries and they too was crispy, hot and fresh. I enjoyed them also. I will definitely be back.

So disappointed with their cheese bread this time. Normally when I come here it always has lots of cheese on each slice of bread and really good. Not this time. Two of the slices didn't have any cheese on them. Will go to a different Lansky's next time.

The store shows they are open until 9 but by 8:30 they kept answering the phone and not saying anything(could here male’s talking in background though) or would answer and immediately hang up. When we tried going to restaurant at 8:40 the door was already locked. They might have great food but with service like that we will just take our business next door from now on.

The best pizza and Phili cheese sandwiches in town. Worth trying if you've never been there. Prices are reasonable. We're regulars there.

Lansky's is absolutely amazing, especially the pizza, the best in town!

Love their calzones! My favorite is one they used to call a Lorenzo's Calzones. It has hamburger, onions, and mushrooms inside. Their marina sauce is delicious. We like their pizzas and sub 🥪.
