Absolutely Brilliant. We loved Spencer's. The ambience is good, the food was impressive and the service was friend and professional. Very well mannered crew. I heard the salad was good but I didn't believe it. Like c'mon it's a salad, it tastes the same everywhere, I thought. When I got my salad , goodness me, I was blown away. Something as simple as a salad tasted exquisite. Their flour less chocolate cake is for chocolate lovers.

Service was absolutely 10/10. Kris was attentive and answered any questions we had about the menu very eager to help. Presentation of our dishes were some of the best I've ever seen. Lobster bisque is a must have. Will be back! Kody & Tess.

Stopped by here after the World Series and it was awesome. Got the Filet and it was perfectly cooked. Pro tip, get the half orders for the sides as their portions are huge and a half order is still plenty for two if not 4 people. They have a great Bourbon selection and make great old fashions.

We love this place, celebrated so many Anniversaries, Holiday's and Birthdays here. The food and staff are amazing. Chef Wheeler, Heather and Tyler big shout out to you for making our night wonderful.

I travel a lot for work, and I've had a lot of good dining experiences all over the US. This was unfortunately not one of them. The prices are not corresponding with the quality of food, which happens sometimes. However, the real problem, and the reason I had to write a review, was the fact that everyone at our table ordered bourbon, and after the first round, the second round we were served was something entirely different from what we ordered. It tasted like going from top shelf to bottom shelf. When we asked the server she promised us that the bartender had poured the correct bottles. I don't know if this was some kind of bait and switch, or just a simple mistake, but between the mediocre food and the bathtub bourbon, it really was a bad experience that the staff didn't do much to rectify. If you've got clients to take to dinner go elsewhere.

We did the Prix fixe dinner that has an appetizer, entree and dessert. Beef tartare 4 stars New York strip 3 stars Cheesecake 4 stars The server made sure to ask everyone to cut into their steaks to make sure it was the correct done ness. I thought it was a smart move to avoid issues if the steak was not cooked to your satisfaction. The server did not do a quality check for our entrees. My new York strip was very sinewy. Another person's steak was obviously quite tough. The person who served me my food was much more personable and friendly than our waiter.

Reservations are typically in order. Great selection of steaks and chops. Priced on the upper end in the Omaha metro with a Rib Eye running $40 with no sides. Customer service is average but the vibe is cool throughout the restaurant and lounge. Best steaks in Omaha? Not even close but it’s a solid steak at an above average price.

Our server, Kat---funny, knowledgeable, passionate about the menu and the wine list--and impeccable service--5 stars right there. This was, hands down, the best steak I have had in 20 years. Prepared to my exact specifications, it was a melt-in-the mouth culinary delight. Truffled mac&cheese is TO DIE FOR. And desserts? Make sure to save room... HELLO Chocoholics, you will be very pleased, go ahead and order both the "naughty" cake and the dark chocolate semifreddo to share--the duality of textures and chocolate bliss will leave you with a "permagrin" for hours afterward. I will be back!

Food was pretty horrible. For a prime steakhouse I definitely expected more. The crab cakes were very fishy, the caesar salad was ok at best, the mushrooms were mushy and almost fishy tasting, the caesar brussels were probably the most edible thing besides the bread I had all night, and the steak was tough and tasteless. Drinks were ok but very strong, which I’m sure most wouldn’t mind. Our server was very nice, but didn’t really notice I didn’t eat much of the meal at all!

Service was great, atmosphere was intimate and food was excellent. The pork chops, prime rob, wedge salad, everything was delicious and the bar tender was phenomenal.

Simply the best steaks I've had and I live in Dallas and have been to all the best Steakhouses there several times over. I don't know what they do to make their steaks so amazing but I don't care. It's a special occasion to dine here for me. I never miss it when in Omaha.

We selected this place totally at random and we're very happy with our decision. Nice portions and excellent service. Had ribeye and it was perfect. Side of fries were enough for the whole group Local beer nice pairing.

Ironically enough, I’d just made the quest to Farmer Browns Steak house in Waterloo, NE. In my mind, a better cut of meat was not available. Wrong! If your to be in the downtown Omaha Haymarket area Spencers Steaks and Chops is a must try. Tied directly to the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown makes it simple and so convenient. I enjoyed the lamb. Delicious doesn’t do it enough justice. Everything was scrupulous and delightfully displayed. Cocktails and wine are available on all levels of budgets. I’d recommend the mManhattan myself. Love this place.

Really nice dinner spot. Our server Marissa was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was tentative and very personable! The food was really good. My husband really liked his steak (Filet Mignon, Oscar style). I had the lamb chops, and they were pretty good as well. I was not a big fan of the sauce on the lamb chops, but overall, the lamb was cooked perfectly and tender. We had a great experience and loved the atmosphere.

Best steak we’ve ever had! New York strip was AWESOME! Fillet mignon was AWESOME! I really regret not ordering the salmon because I had a bite of it from my friend and it was AWESOME! But we will be back! Smashed potatoes were awesome and also the vegetables were incredible! This place delivers incredible succulent food that just simply melts in your mouth. What more could you ask for?

Stayed at the hotel adjacent. Wanted to grab a bite. Here’s my experience. 1) Ambiance: dining area is really nice. Traditional upscale steak restaurant decor. B I decided to eat in the bar because I thought it would be quick. I was wrong. They were so slow, we probably went back in time. After sitting at a high top it took the bar tender/ server about 12 minutes to come to my table. I don’t know her name, nor did she ask me if it was my first time dining with them. She simply asked, “Have you decided?” I was taken back. I ordered lobster bisque, which had no lobster. More crackers than lobster and there was 4 crackers it took 35 minutes to come out? I had the seared tuna which was good. Although they served it with regular soy sauce. For the main I ordered a 14 oz strip and Brussels sprouts. I sat down at 6:25pm and my main arrived at 7:27 pm. It wasn’t busy as it was a Monday night. The Verdict: Steak was bad. Overcooked, no flavor, and dry. Major disappointment. The Brussel sprouts were good tho. Would I come back here? No I’d rather go to an Applebees to be frank.

Traveling through from Maryland, had to get the best steak in Omaha. Got the best steak in Omaha. Boneless ribeye with truffle butter, amazing. My server tried to tell me the portions were huge. Where I’m from, price and portions have an inverse relationship, so I ordered way too much food. All of it was incredible. If I came back again (which I hope to one day) I’d probably just get the beef tartare and two half-sides, which was everything I’d hoped a beef tartare would be. Server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, which is great, because I’m too indecisive. Thanks for a great experience for me and my pops.

The steak frites was amazing! Also, it was probably the best Caesar salad I've had. You could taste a little bit of the lemon in the dressing, which was perfect. I would've given it 5 stars, but my waiter wasn't super attentive. I didn't get any water refills and in contrast to the other waiters, he didn't ask if it was my first time (which it was) or explain the specials of the day. The price was very reasonable for the quality.

Our server, Olivia was wonderful. She checked with the bar to advise what wine would pair with an appetizer in question. Was always close at hand to see to our needs without being overbearing. We will request her in the future. The food was amazing and generous portions. The dinning area was relaxing, quiet and well worth the price.

Lounge area left a little to be desired. Really should purchase new chairs. However, the service was excellent, and the food was over the top. Meatloaf and chicken sandwich... no pictures because we devoured it all immediately. Definitely will be coming back.

Well... it's in their title - "Steaks and Chops". Neither disappoints. Great food, decent wine selection, and great service. If you are in the area for a conference - definitely worth the visit

We went as a group of 5, great service, Brussel sprouts were so heavily charred that's all I could taste even after dessert. The Spencer steak needed seasoning!! Very bland. Overall I wouldn't return unless it's a business dinner and then would try the chicken or salmon because the steak was just that disappointing.

This was our first time eating at Spencer’s. We’re very glad we gave this restaurant a chance. The lamb chops and prime rib were fantastic. Our server was very attentive and kind. They also had an extensive wine selection. The food is more on the pricey side. But it’s definitely worth the cost. We’re definitely coming back next time we’re in town.

Way Over priced, burnt and overcooked, and french onion soup had way to much pepper in it. I will say their salad was good the bri cheese was a nice touch. However not good enough to make me want to come back. If you want a good steak place this is not the one you will regret it. Outback is much better and the price is half the cost of this place.

I’m not sure what I expected when ordering the Caesar salad for pickup, but at a price point of $10.50 from a highly-rated restaurant, it certainly wasn’t 6 tiny uncut romaine leaves with a dry cut of bread and some Parmesan thrown on top. To be fair, the dressing on the side was very good - made a nice dipping sauce for our 6 leaves. This honestly could have been a practical joke. Maybe the dine-in is very nice, but our take-out experience was very bad.

Stopped here for a cocktail. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable on both wine and cocktails. Willing to give a sip of wine and whiskey to try. Great location that is walking distance to other hotels. There was a tv in the bar to catch the game.
