Finally made it into the shop. Tried their breakfast. You order at the counter and pay first. They will bring the food out to you. Food is served on disposable plates. Water is available from a dispenser by the door. Plenty of seating. The room is very bright with Windows, it's a corner spot so very nicely lit in the day. Their kitchen closes at 2pm Monday to Thursday right now. Breakfast sandwich $7, 5 stars Bacon was perfectly crispy, eggs had a good flavor to them Brioche french toast $8 , 5 stars Fluffy toast with a bit of granola. The syrup was nicely balanced as well I did have a slight preference for the breakfast sandwich though both are great options Previous review... This review is for their mystery box for delivery. We ordered this during covid19. Price: $25 Delivery: $5 Tax: $1.75 Total: $$31.75 7 pieces plus caramels If you counted the pieces they average about $3.60 a piece but with free caramels. I was worried about too many sweet things when I ordered it but I think it's a decent mix. The roll cake was super soft and squishy when I took it out of the box. I haven't had a chance to eat them yet but of course the first thing I had to do was take a photo, since my hobby is food photography. The croissant is super flaky. That's probably going to be the first thing I dig into. Super happy they included a scone since that was one of the things I wanted to order after the fact. The loaf was a blueberry loaf of some sort. The triangle pieces are a brownie with tahini. It was the perfect amount of chocolate for me. You can microwave it for a few seconds. The one thing I wish was they included a list of what you actually got, but I'm super stoked to have baked goods in my house. Having variety is great since there's only 2 of us in my household (not including my dogs) Looking forward to trying their items in house when all this is over. I did notice the were starting to delivery some very interesting cocktails. #covid19 #delivery

I like the decor: blue ceilings. It is very lively. Cappuccino and flat white coffee were good like the other location in midtown. Blueberry scone and breakfast sandwich were also good. It was too bad… because I went there for the croissant. It was out at that time. Yeah, it can get very crowded. Thanks to the staff for being very professional, providing friendly and polite services.

The coffee was ok, but a little low on flavor. The quiche was $8 and not worth the price. It did not taste fresh and seemed to come from a frozen box. It had that plastic-like texture to the egg.The bacon jam seemed like a good idea but tasted more like BBQ pulled pork with way too much sugar. It’s a nice spot to sit and get work done.

All I can say it amazing, everything is house made including the jam and syrup. There were a lot of options so anyone could find something, service was great. It was busy but that’s to be expected, had a outdoor eating area as well. Along with good food and drinks everything was priced very well. If I ever visit Omaha again I would definitely stop by.

Great ambience, a live classic vinyl dj, and amazing food. Luke and Andrew were in the kitchen and made everything perfectly. Quincy made sure we were happy and satisfied with our food. The batistas made an excellent Flat White and Slow Pour.

Culprit Cafe has a wonderful variety of pastries, breakfasts and sandwiches. Nice list of tea and coffee drinks as well. I enjoyed an Americano and delicious pastry in their dining room this morning. It is bright and clean and staff is friendly and engaged. Will be back soon for more. Their Yelp page mentions beignets. “Yes Please!” ( Inside seating with CoVid spacing, hand sanitizer dispenser available)

All the food looks good. Nice place. Could be 5 stars, my experience was 3 stars, but still giving 4 stars - everything I ordered was way too sweet. Ordered 1/2 sweet mocha - was either forgotten and made full sweet, or full sweet is pure syrup. Steel cut oats were good, but also very very sweet - served with a lot of maple syrup and jam in bowl.

This place was fantastic! So good in fact that we went here both mornings we were in town for breakfast! I had French toast, biscuits and gravy, as well as a sandwich and all of it was great! I also had a coffee which was very smooth. I sat along the bar so we could see the kitchen and they worked together very well to get as much food out as they did. The flavors of both food and coffee were great!

The flat white was incredible. The coffee was smooth and not bitter at all. I had mine with almond milk no sugar and it was perfect. I ordered the open veggie. It was a TON of food. No way I could finish it. The roasted veggies were flavored well and something on it had a slight kick of heat. Very pleased with the experience at culprit today. Neat little cafe tucked away on a corner in downtown.

Loved everything about it! Service, food, atmosphere! Hubby had biscuits and gravy yesterday-🙌🏻. Today the French toast. For me, steel cut oatmeal and beignets both days!! Delish! Oh and the cinnamon roll was the bomb! Next time in Omaha, we will be back!! We highly recommend! PS I was so excited to eat, I forgot to take a pic of my oatmeal before! Please visit this great place!

When we found out that our hotel was not serving hot breakfast, we decided again to go to Google to look for a good breakfast place. The Culprit Cafe is amazing! Everything was fresh and hot and interesting. Sometimes I say that a restaurant was fun. When I do it usually means they took the time to really get creative in their creations. Portions are huge! After the first bite of his Biscuits and gravy, my grandson said it might rival his Dad’s! The Monte Cristo sandwich was a bit too much but oh so good! Wasn’t a huge fan of the pesto as I like more garlic flavor but the quiche was really good. Started with a cinnamon roll that was so soft and good! Definitely a place to remember!!

Cinnamon roll, butter pecan roll, five spice donut and crème brûlée donut!!! The best donuts soft moist not too sweet delicate flavors. Oat milk cappuccino, latte and London fog tea 😋 Thank you to the gifted barista 5 ✨ 🌟

Very nice place to eat. The breakfast was super good and the potatoes were to die for! I gave 4 because I wish they offered different types of breakfast but still though it was delicious! Also the entrance should be kept more clean, its full of bird doodoo, this is not the greatest entrance to come in to eat.

The donuts and pastries are always great. Lunch was not as enjoyable. The crispy potatoes were good (maybe too much of the sauce?) but the chicken sandwich was hard to eat. The bread was so thick and it was very tough/chewy from being warmed up. The chicken was okay, but that’s all I could eat from the large sandwich.

Not a big fan on their small portions of tiny biscuit and salty gravy.

AHMAZING FOOD. What a killer bakery in Omaha. Their cocktails are so good. I do not prefer their coffee, as it often tastes burnt but I don't think that is really their thing. But everything else is just so good!

Presentation was beautiful, and the flavors, challenging and exciting, which is afforded around comfort food. For example, the challah french toast was accompanied by a maple syrup laced with rosemary — experimental and delightful. However, in the case of the challah and quiche, I craved more familiar textures. I wish the challah was thicker and less airy, while the quiche was less boiled and flan-like. In sum, while Culprit plays and succeeds with experimental tastes, they should leave the comfort in the comfort food (i.e. bread thickness, less wobbly quiche texture). Thanks for reading!

Gross! They obviously needed to change out their grease, because everything tasted like fish. And they’re tiny ittybitty baby biscuit for $8 dollars.... NO!

A great find on our weekend trip to Omaha. This place is going onto my must visit when in Omaha list. My breakfast of biscuits and gravy and a couple beignets was the absolute best. Add in a mocha that was expertly crafted and my breakfast was second to none.

This place reminds me of my favorite whole in the wall cafe in, New Hampshire, The Bridge Street Cafe. Everyone is socializing and laughing. The menu is great, something for everyone. I ordered a bacon and cheese croissant and "A London Fog". It's a grey earl tea with milk and vanilla syrup latte'ish beverage. Only thing that I would add to this place is, sausage. Otherwise, go on with your bad self, Culprit Cafe.

Good service. Small but inclusive selection of food. Pea soup and open-faced vegetarian sandwich were clearly high quality, but both also tasted the same - like curry. I asked what the soup was before I ordered and I was told it was a horseradish pea soup. It was not, it was a green curry. Open faced sandwiches make no sense to me - it defeats the purpose of a sandwich. And this was just roasted veggies with a curry spread on bread. The bread is really, really good.

Very disappointing. About 1/3rd of the lettuce on my gravlax sandwich was slimy, the sandwich was quite small, came on an entirely over salted, very tough pretzel bun, with an unpleasantly salty dill & caper spread, and it was $9. Not cool 👎

Cafe food and the setting here is excellent. I wish there were more places like this around town. I will be back with my coworkers. The place has an awesome feel to it. Not close to my job, I wish it was.

So excited to try this place but will not return. I had the quiche and it was so salty I could barely eat it. My significant other had biscuit and gravy but the buscuit was undercooked. Will not be back!

I loved the pastries I ate and my friends were over the moon with their breakfasts. For some reason, though it doesn't smell like it in the restaurant, my friends and me could smell greasy fried oil on our clothes the rest of the day. Went back another day and it happened again, so it's for sure the cafe. Weird.

Decided to to come try this location out instead of the midtown location, and let me tell you it’s night and day this location is not up to par at all there were grains in my latte and something slimy at the bottom and unfortunately I didn’t know until I reached the bottom. The avocado toast I ordered looked like it was sitting in the fridge over night since the avocado were turning brown and the tomatoes were ice cold also it’s a breakfast place why did they serve potatoe chips with avocado toast bottom line I do not recommend this location
