If you like ice cream, eat here. One more time for those in doubt- if you sorta, kinda, like or love iced cream, eat here! :D If for any reason you think I’m wrong and this isn’t some of the tastiest, creamiest, deliciousiest ice cream you’ve had, let me know in the comments. *I don’t think there’s a comments section I just hear that phrase a lot and thought I’d get on board with saying it.

The only thing that ever changes about this Old Market gem is their daily flavors. Love this sweet spot. Today’s flavors that we tried were “slutty brownie” & the classic “cotton candy”….and yes, they were both delicious.

I tried “Quit your job and eat chocolate” and “Brown sugar Espresso bean” ice cream which were 2 of the day’s flavors. They both were very creamy. The service is very professional and the staff who helped us is so knowledgeable about the flavors. She patiently explained to us about what they were. Thank you so much. Ice-cream lovers must try!

We went there once and loved their ice cream! The 20% butterfat makes the ice cream taste really good. The “Flavors of the day” were a little different than traditional flavors such as garlic etc. but we went with the simple ones i.e. Vanilla Bean and Chocolate, and they were just too good! The staff was very friendly and allowed us to taste some different flavors before deciding our final picks. Highly recommend this place!

Just yum!!!!! The vanilla bean and Dutch chocolate ice cream were divine! Also tried the strawberry banana and green apple. Green apple had a weird aftertaste. But the strawberry banana was delicious. Great spot with a nice hometown feel. Polite and friendly staff.

Ted and Wally’s is a fun name serving up some darn good ice-cream. I thought it was premium but ultra-premium? It was good and it deserves a 5 star review. We stopped in after I took grandma to the park down the way. She loves to play on the jungle gym, fight with the kids and hide around corners when she goes potty in her diaper. She also works up an apatite for ice-cream so we were in luck. The place is super cool inside, fun to see how it’s made and the flavors are unique and fun. Super creamy ice-cream but not heavy, if that’s possible. Go get ya some and let them know granny sent ya.

This is the “scoop” it received. It took up maybe half the bowl. To top it off, the ice cream was filled with ice chunks. Pretty disappointed in our experience. Would not recommend. We certainly won’t be back.

Cute old fashioned ice cream shop. The family really enjoyed their ice cream. They had a list of daily flavors and some mix ins as well so everyone got something they liked. The line was out the door and into the parking lot so you know it's good. 💕 The women's bathroom door does not lock! Please fix that!!

Very good ice cream. I would say it's a little creamier and richer than your average kemps. They have many unique flavors that rotate. There was a lot of different kinds of chocolate, had a spicy one and few Easter themed ones.A few spots for parking. They allow free samples so can at least try some ones you wouldn't get. Price is on point for a tourist spot so a little higher than DQ but you are paying for the historical value. Fun spot to visit.

Family owned ice cream parlor in the old market area. The lines were pretty long, but moved rather quickly. We went around 3PM and the line was basically right at the front door. They have limited quantities of special ice cream so try to go there earlier than later. A few of their flavors ran out while I was eating my order in the dining area. Their signs also state that they have rotating flavors daily, not sure what the percentage is but worth multiple visits if you want to try new things. I got their Maple Latte and enjoyed it 👍🏽

This ice cream shop is great. The energy, the vibe, the aesthetic is everything you’d want from a scratch ice cream shop. Probably about 12-15 flavor options daily. My only gripe is it is expensive. For a sundae and a single scoop cone we paid $15, which is a little steep for ice cream, but it was very good so I would come back! This place gets crowded fast. We just beat the line so be prepared to wait. Staff is wonderful!

Very expensive for ice cream that isn’t very good. They have trouble keeping their ice cream at a consistent temperature. I tried a few flavors, some was almost melty, others were icy. Though I did appreciate that they’re willing to split 2 flavors in a single scoop

The best vanilla bean ice cream I have ever tasted. The line was long, but the wait itself was short. I enjoyed the ice cream with a waffle cone and it was perfect. The waffle cone tasted fresh and like it was made in-house. The employees were nice and accommodating. Although the environment was busy, service was not lacking. Unfortunately I am not from here. Otherwise this would be my go to place for ice cream.

Be prepared to pay premium prices for this premium ice cream! I went to the Old Market store, not the original flagship location. There was a line out the door of this small shop, but it moved quickly. I chose a single scoop on a sugar cone (a small, aka "regular"), caramel latte flavor. It was satisfying and delicious, with its 32% butterfat old-fashioned goodness. But it rang up at over $7.00! It's a favorite choice for big treat ice cream in Omaha for well-heeled locals and tourists alike. If this describes you, go for it and enjoy this traditional method (see salt and barrels in photos), all-the-fat ice cream.

I was downtown and hungry for ice cream, so I tried Ted and Wally's. I arrived about 8:30 pm on a Monday evening and the line was out the door! This place is popular! After waiting on line for about 30 minutes it was finally my turn to order. I'm picky about ice cream, but several of the 20 or so flavors looked delicious! I wandered to try cinnamon, but they didn't know if it was gluten free, so instead I selected vanilla with a hot fudge topping. The vanilla was smooth and the fudge topping was warm and delicious. This is a fresh churned ice cream, so it has a softer consistently than most store-bought ice creams. Vanilla isn't my first choice of flavors, so I likely would have rated them higher if flavors other than vanilla and chocolate were gluten free.

Stopped in twice to indulge my sweet tooth while in Omaha. It was probably the best peaches and cream I've had! Delicious! 🍦

The pink peppercorn flavor is very unique and amazing. The julian’s spotted pony is good too. Their ice cream uses good ingredients and have very creamy texture. The chocolate flavor has depth to it.

Great place to cool off on a hot summer day in Omaha! Ted & Wally’s is serving up some made from scratch ice cream the old fashioned way, using locally sourced, fresh ingredients! As you wait in line, you can see the ice cream being churned in the old machines. Along with some traditional flavors, there are many unique ones to choose from, including the peanuts and coke which was really tasty! This is a must stop while visiting downtown Omaha.

Ice cream is different but delicious. Had a scoop of mexican vanilla, mint chocolate and reg chocolate. Definitely will come back when in town again.

Ted & Wally's does not disappoint when it comes to flavor, quality, choice, and service. They had a sorbet and a vegan option, as well as at least a half dozen other ice cream flavors. This is the creamiest ice cream I have ever had....and, very rich. The small containers are packed tight and will be enough to satisfy your sweet tooth and tummy. This great experience comes at a cost, though, so be prepared to pay more than your average creamery. Is it worth it? It's something everyone should experience at least once. Will I go back? Most definitely.

Loved coming down to Ted and Wally’s tonight with the bestie to get two scoops of Ginger Ale ice cream in a waffle cone. Between the two of them, it was truly a memorable experience on a perfect night tonight. The ice cream was bursting with Ginger Ale flavour that I truly was taken aback by a little with how fresh it tasted while almost giving me the whole glass experience sans the effervescence. The waffle cone just added the perfect level of crunch and sweetness to the Ginger Ale ice cream that almost turned it into a ginger snap. Absolutely delicious! We can’t wait to go back for another round and enjoy this fantastic ice cream.
