Found this hidden gem by seeing the sign on the side of building during the day of being the largest coffeeshop around, so I decided to stop in and try it out. Was very surprised on the space that was inside. They've couches and a little karaoke little area with pool tables as well. Very nice customer service. The smoothies are very good and tasty. I would definitely be back to see how the atmosphere is at night.

I'm new in town and is in search of a coffee shop to read books at. Found sozo on Google and it's cozy place and the drinks were good but disappointed that it’s run as a place of worship for a ministry in disguise. There was no mention of the religious affiliation on their “About Us” page on the website. Reading the comments that the tips are taken by the ministry and it doesn't go to the barista makes it sad.

Great little hidden gem. Fun atmosphere. Good drinks (our London Fog was excellent) and homemade pastries. I also love the board and pool games in a much more laid back environment than a bar. We will definitely go back there for date night again!

My daughter is always looking for new coffee shops to study and do homework at and after going here one time she was hooked. She loved the roominess, large tables, and available and easily accessed power outlets. She really enjoyed her Macha Latte. The place has a very fun look and even has tons of games available to play.

Lots of seating means never needing to stand. It's a good place with some solid coffee options. I like the fact they had a hello Kitty latte to try. It was a sticker that made it more hello Kitty like but it was still kind of cute. Pricing seemed fair for what was offered. Service was good It is located in the old market. There is parking right outside however it is metered

Great place to hang! Love the private rooms you can rent for $2/hr. They have pool tables available for $4/hr. Lots of space to move around & relax.

That banana bread latte was fire and the baristas were great with the little girls birthday party in the back. We greatly appreciated it! I will definitely be back for a day with the cool vibe and a good book

Sozo is a good place to study and sometimes they have shows. You can rent the study rooms for $1/hr. There's pool to play, board games, very good coffee, smoothies, and tea.

Great hidden gem with great coffee, homemade pastries and I love the free board games and pool in a chill environment, not loud and crazy like a bar on a Friday night.

Went to a Christian Gospel concert. Had fun. Nice atmosphere. I did not eat anything or drank anything, so I did not rate that to be fair.

Rented the back room for a baby shower. It was awful! When we arrived no one knew we had reserved the room…..extra confusing when trying to set up early. And when we got there the room was soo filthy! That we had to clean before the party. When we asked for a garbage bag for the room the worker said “didn’t you bring supplies?” Well no we didn’t know we needed to bring garbage bags. So rude! Left over food, popped balloons and dirt all over the floor from something previous, and the tables had visible dirt. This is a baby shower there are children running around in this filth. I grabbed a broom to start sweeping up and swept up a LIVE cockroach! Disgusting! Then no one told us we couldn’t put a table a cross a sliding door in the room and the staff had to come through the room several times that morning ….with attitude saying we aren’t supposed to put tables there anyway. Just plain rude. Almost all the women’s bathrooms were out of order. And there was no toilet paper in any working stall. I will never be back. Especially not for a baby shower. Very disappointing.!

LOVE THIS PLACE! We stopped here because we had time to kill and saw that this place had couches and games. First it's underground which is cool on its own lol and it had a very chill comfy vibe. We played Farkle, had some coffee and just hung out. If we weren't from out of town I'd probably be at this place at least once a week!

Had a chai latte with almond milk and a ice matcha blended tea. Both were fantastic. Atmosphere is awesome, plenty of couches and space to sit with lots of games if you want to pass some time with friends.

Needed a coffee while in Old Market and drove by and saw the sign. Made a quick u-turn and went into this cool coffee shop in a basement shop. Walked in the vibe was relaxing and cool. The young lady working was friendly, nice and we had nice conversation while it was a little slow. Grabbed an iced mocha and it was excellent. Give them a try!

Always a pleasant greeting when you walk in the door. The coffee always tastes great and feels homey when you walk in.

This place has accompanied me throughout my college career, and I couldn't be more satisfied. The staff are extremely friendly, the music selection they have is awesome, food is great, and the pool tables are awesome for study breaks. The only critique I may have is an urgent need for new pool cues. Aside from this however this will continue to be my go to with friends, long after I've graduated.

My friend and I rented out a study room for 4 hours to cram for finals. The room was nice although freezing cold and there was a lot of religious memorabilia around. In the main part of the coffee shop there was some sort of baby shower or event going on. Though the study rooms were around the corner and down the hall we could hear everything they were saying and there must have been 20-30 people. It made it very hard for us to concentrate and they didn't inform us that there would be a party going on. Rent study rooms at your own risk because this place has a lot of events going on all the time.

Nothing beats playing pool whilst sipping on a Strawberry-Banana Latte. The atmosphere is pretty chill, they also have board games if that's more your style. Definitely a great space to study as they offer study rooms that you can reserve, or you can study on the couches in the main area.

Cappuccinos are all time best picks, turned out the tastiest from the first sip here in Sozo. Barista made an excellent blend with maple syrup. Definitely looking for another late evening vices go.

Went for an event. First time there. Employees are great. Coffee and treats are amazing..even gluten free options. Was put off by the attitude of some other customers and left early..That does not reflect on the place though. Would go again.

I've been here at least 6-7 times over the last two months. I was looking for a local place that was open later than many local coffee shops around Omaha (that close surprisingly early). It's a large space, but it is clearly used for other activities than just the coffee shop. I tend to go on Friday evenings, and it can begin to get a little crowded around 6:30 or so with people arriving to socialize in groups. The thing I enjoy most about this place is their large selection of tea, and the prices for tea are great. If you're looking for an alternative atmosphere to most coffee shops, you should at least check it out.

Came here to work on a model railroad project in peace, was greeted by very nice staff who were very interested in my project, it was the perfect place to hunker down with a DELICIOUS cup of coffee and enjoy my hobby for a few hours. I cannot wait to come back.

I love that Sozo stays open late most days, as I am a night owl and love a 5pm coffee. They're coffee and tea has so far been amazing! I love the huge selection of flavors and tons of seating options.

Contacted the Sozo House about a week and a half before my son’s First birthday, trying to book the conference room. After 48 hours I never got an online response from me trying to book the conference room, so I called. The manager was unavailable At the time, so I was dealing with two different workers from the Coffee house. Was told to wait for a phone call. Waited another 24 hours for this manager to call me back and she never did. It is now exactly A week out before the event, and they refused to call me back, get a deposit from me or book the conference room, even though it was available. By Saturday evening, I had booked somewhere else and never heard from the manager here. I was told she didn’t have the technology at home to answer the emails in regard to my party. All in all it was a terrible experience. I got the runaround regarding my sons very first birthday, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone trying to throw an event here with how poor the service was. No apologies were made for almost ruining my sons birthday. Terrible experience
